I have just cast my vote and I think this is the right move to make by the dev to help kick start this coin again. In the end I think the dev and community will make the right decision to help the coin do better.
I hope so too since im running out of options otherwise :/ to the ppl that are still complaining about the swap: 1. you dont have to swap, feel free to stay with the current coin. 2. without a swap i wont be able to continue with any project and it would be the end of this story pretty quick. |

i couldnt resist. it looked pretty cheap for the total supply of coins out there  I sent a request to the dev regarding the takeover because i think i can improve a few things. and hopefully continue with the project for years to come. |

I've never been a fan of swaps. Swaps are how Goldman Sachs single-handedly bankrupted Greece along with the OK of their government. Swaps are also what caused the world IMF crisis... and swaps are pretty much what kills existing markets. So yeah, not a fan of swaps. Swaps affect the entire eco-system and not just the number of coins. It also gives a negative connotations such as we're washing our hands of the current situation and start something else. etc.... etc.... The alternative is change the stakes and work the coins.
i doubt a coinswap for 1337 will have such a global devastating impact... but could you explain this part? "change the stakes and work the coins" as for 'changing the stake', i already did that twice and will continue to do that every 3 months. the next halving of the APR is scheduled around the 25th of november. im looking into a more user friendly way to do the upcoming halvings and i'll try to have them all included in the next wallet release so that users dont have to change wallets after every halving anymore. I'm very new at posting on BitcoinTalk (obviously), so I'm sorry for whichever rules (written or unwritten) that I break.
I recently volunteered to help the guys at POSWallet.com keep their faucets up and running. To that end, I was asked to contact the devs for each of the coins on POSWallet and see about getting some small, repeatable donations into their faucets.

you shouldnt believe in horror stories either, im not the boogeyman  i see your point tho but i think VoodooBarbie just posted that to give people an indication. its not very accurate but serves its purpose imo. btw, its very unlikely that any coin with a total supply of 10-11M would ever hit 1 sat. however, i dont think we would be able to keep the price at 100 or 1000 sats. dumps are to be expected because people simply want to sell their stakes or even just want to get out. hehehehehe its not horror story its horror reality in crypto POS 1337% made 1 sat, POS 300% made 1 sat, so POS 150% will make it too people are not stupid, noone will wait for miracle. how will you blocking dumpers? buy wall 1000 sat forever? look, i dont have the secret winning formula for crypto. im just trying to find a way to continue with this project and opened a debate with the community to see what they wanted. there will be 2 coins after the swap, the current coin will remain on the exchanges and im working on getting the new coin listed on at least yobit. all the 1337 that will be used to swap will be burned so the actual total supply would decrease. the fact that the price of 1337 is stuck between 0-1 sat has nothing to do with the APR but is simply because there are too many coins on low sell orders. what do you suggest? maybe you should try adding something to this conversation instead of just complaining and talking about miracles and fairytales.... if you want to sell your stakes or coins you can do so on cryptopia in the alternative markets. |

Purchased a truck load more 1337 coins which was from my BTC faucet earnings. sorry guys i needed a lil break. thanks for the suggestions. as someone mentioned before, people stake coins because they expect a return. imho 1-2% /year simply isnt enough incentive for users to keep coins in their wallet and stake them and most coins will end up on the exchanges. even with a high apr of 334.25% there are lots of coins blocking any rise in price atm... killing the coin in the process. also, stake2play project is based on the idea that people can buy things with their stakes. so lets say someone invests $100 in the new version... how long would it take till he could afford a $5 game if the apr is 1.337% per year? as for the swap ratio of 1000:1, that was my first thought too but it seemed a bit too radical to me at the time. but i have to agree that 10M coins are probably easier to manage than 100M coins. You have some good points and now I see why 1 to 2 percent per year isn't attractive for people to invest in 1337. So the question is are we having a swap? So far a swap is leading in the poll and when will this poll end? i would like to make it clear that its not my intention to force anyone to swap. i also cant guarantee any success after the swap but as things are now i simply cant do much because there is no liquidity in the market. so there will most likely be 2 coins instead of 1 and people will only be able to swap 1337 for the new coin and the old coins will get burned in that process. i have no ETA atm but i'll post my suggestion for the specs of the swap after i gathered more info. we also need a new name, logo, ann etc etc but those things will come after we came to an agreement as a community. lets give the poll till the end of the week? |

Has crypto4free.ml gone bust? I've notices that it has been on and offline this past week and when it is online, and I make a claim I never received the payment? Anyone else having problems?
I have been attacked the last days, so my DB crashed multiple times per day, or hour, or minute.. Working on it! It will hopefully be up and running within the weekend with new servers, scripts and a new fancy domain So dont give up on me just yet. Dont let my haters win Crypto4free will be back stronger than ever  It's a shame that people do this to a faucet site which is only trying to help give people free coins. You have my support and will continue to support your faucet no matter what happens. Your doing a great job at running this faucet even after all the attacks you have had so keep it up. With all these updates and forks, what happens if someone is offline for a period of time. Say, a person is in the military, out in a foreign country, comes back six months later and then fires up the PC?
that person would need to look at this thread to see if he/she needs to update their wallet. if yes, they prolly need to delete their peers.dat file and remove any addnode lines in their 1337.conf and synch up with the current blockchain. they should get a nice stake because their coins kept gaining weight. |

Hello dev, i have issue with c-cex, i tried to withdraw my coins from exchange but have some troubles, coins are sent from c-cex, but i don't receive it to my wallet, txid is 8f149f90ad5d79d392281e4d5996555f083aef50360fc40605546d645457c81f, but on block explorer there is no info about this transaction. Here is c-cex answer for my ticket  am i lost my coins? a solution has been posted for ccex. looks like theyre working on it but forked again  not only are they on the wrong fork, it seems theyre also staking on the wrong fork. i think it would be wise to remove all buy orders before they start dumping their fake coins on the market!
in theory id say that if ccex was on the wrong blockchain when you made the withdraw, your coins should still be safe and should reappear after they move to the correct blockchain and perform a repairwallet. according to ccex they have an auto-repair after a fork but since my deposit from july never made it to ccex im having second thoughts about that... |

im working on something to resurrect 1337 again. its not a very popular 'method' and its something that has been abused by some other devs in the past but i see it as a last option. yes, im talking about the dreaded coinswap.
people will get to choose whether to stay on the current wallet or swap them with the new coin. 1337 that gets swapped will first be collected in a designated deposit address and after that it will be sent to our burn address. ive been thinking of a swap ratio of 100:1
i will also make sure that everything is as transparent as possible but also anonymous. i dont need to know who owns how many coins etc so it will either take place on an exchange, or in case i have to do it manually i will setup something temporary where we can communicate. maybe a slack?
