I'm surprised that Instawallet wouldn't do any number of adjustments to their code to prevent something that's risk-prone like that from happening.
For example, I do photography with Smugmug. They randomize every single photo's ending URL at 9 different sizes. Your gallery name may go into the URL but you (should) have a password for anyone accessing it, and your starting photo URL is still pretty random (not just photo1).
To think they'd let someone's own password be spelled out right in the URL is pretty shocking if I understand it correctly.
Oh and yeah, not a fan of Chrome. I'll use it for Bitconity updates since currently my IE is broken with it and for coding. Otherwise, nope. But go figure, my brothers love Gmail though.

Yeah the Expensify gentleman did great. Too bad the pompus investor type dude wouldn't let him finish.

Yes. Might flip a couple to cover bills and stuff but definately feel like picking up more.

Watched that CNBC clip. It seemed like they started off alright but they certainly didn't want to give the Expensify guy any chance of redemption at the end. That's too bad.
Let us mere nerds continue on then and maybe once we hit $500, they'll change their tune.

Ah, thank you. I thought the B with the Fiat price below was someone cashing out and they received that much fiat. There is still potential that all that coin could be used to buy, sell, or be used though. Sorry to spook the thread but hey, now we know what a 6K transfer on LTB looks like .

This wasn't appearing on Bitcoinity but someone, somewhere just did some insane buys. Listen to Bitcoin is perhaps a nice secondary source to see insanity if you wish. None of those huge buys showed up on Bitcoinity so if it's not coming from Gox, then where?

Hmm missing something? They could be Luke's units, ran remotely by Josh. Of course the EXIF data would show Josh since Josh took the photos.

Also notice the top chart has a 5 year history now linking to this: Also a top-right link "stahp" which leads to a Rick Rolled video on Youtube. Of course the ever-so-succinct "WTF" spits out a great image too

Aww looks like the command post was deleted.
Anyway, Buy ALL the Bitcoins!
Or wait, we just need some deals going down and they can you know, base the game on a transaction on a true story. Metal Gear Solid VI: Wall-Eater.

More wall pics? Sure. The bull run is starting early this week Also, listentobitcoin is pretty neat. Didn't see that huge buy ping on it though.

A few of my more tech-savy friends are aware of it, certainly. What their interest or involvement with BTC is thus far however, I don't know.
One friend I'm trying to bring him around to the concept but he is to be fair, quite busy so I don't think he's just had a chance to study the concept and benefits to his business.
One other friend feels that it's just a bunch of techy ideas spread by Libertarians and "radicals" to the state. While that may partly be true, I think there's just a lot of normal techie oriented people here too that have come to enjoy the benefits of Bitcoin as-is. You can be for or against what the Government (or a government) does but that doesn't make Bitcoin any less awesome.
...and to think, I suggested to the one friend to buy a few a few months ago when the price was probably in the mid-teens to low 20s!

Reviewed your charts there - wow lots of work . Nice job with those. Good luck to all on the buy-in.

Neo, did you see the video? It's right there. Some part of the circuitry is drawing more power than it should be. I wonder for a Jalapeno if they'll be including a wall adapter if the power goes signficantly over spec. That or downclock them and give you two. Otherwise from the extended reddit post and latest updates what was posted about the power draw seemed right If you do NOT contact BFL, you'll receive your unit with higher power draw and slower speeds but of course more physical units to equal the hashing power you purchased. If you explicitly contact them to delay your order, your unit is withheld to be shipped once the power issues are figured out. Wow someone just threw up a 10+K buy wall at $92. That should stop these dumpers for awhile.
Though granted, the dumps have been pretty epic. Poor bears cashing out.

Bouncing from $85 to $88 back and forth a lot today. I see we dipped again earlier (asleep), so yeah to hear it partly due to Gox down again isn't quite surprising.
Oh well, again it's a weekend. We may dip a bit but I figure come next week we'll jump back up.

They're a little over power target but any ASIC at this point will do. Hopefully they do solve things expediently and get them out the door.
At least the good news is for any of us running any semblance of a substantial mining setup shouldn't have any issue dissipating say, 400-1200w (depending on what you've ordered and how BFL may compensate with # of rigs for the ordered hashrate).

Condolences for your banking loss, OP.
While I can't speak from personal experience, I know several relatives and friends who run physical brick and mortar businesses. For the most part, they'd laugh at $100K to do what needs to be done. Most people I knew would be handling $500K+ a year; not all profit by a long shot (expenses, payroll, etc etc etc).
As a couple posts above me said, yeah it looks like just the more successful local and unmovable businesses ended up footing the bill, which is all too sad.
Good luck on your new endeavors elsewhere, OP!

Sorry for pic spam but I was able to watch the whole thing unfold. Order finally got to Gox about half an hour too late to capitalize, alas. Short of seeing companies talk about millions or billions that we as regular people have no way of really seeing, this market is amazing to watch. So many people with money that it's mind-boggling and yet, not really. Welcome to a world economy. First they sold... and sold... and sold more but also bought... Finally, the low: *coughs* so "low": Crazy buy upwards followed: More deep-pocket buyers followed (probably because they just profited): and then we pretty much recovered: Crazy traders. Congratulations on you guys that took profits to buy more coin. We now return you to your regularly desired photos of wall-movements
