Since looking at Bitcoinity, I see they have a section for trading engine lag. Might I ask that when I normally place an order and it's executed by the second I refresh or even after 5 seconds, is that the real "normal" time then?
What do you guys feel is an acceptable amount of delay or what is normal? Under heavy volume I suppose it can't be instant all the time but a 20+ second (or 20 minute) delay is simply not good.

Thanks. Bitcoinity is quite neat even though I too go to Bitcoincharts normally. But at the moment, Bitcoinity it is.

The hype was there but the infrastructure wasn't. Let's hope this doesn't lead to an even greater crash when people realize mtgox is made of cardboard.
Agreed. It'd be unfortunate if Gox's troubles outright stalled this rally, which I'd argue it has.

Looks like we found a bear that still had some bite left in him. Even though it did wipe out "yesterday's" gains, it's still up and green, let alone we'll see what happens today / tonight.
Edit. Yeah also wondering what systems they have over there. Can't connect to the live charts all day and sometimes the whole site's been down.

These charts look like glaciers. Except these are glaciers being pushed by giants and ready to scrape away whatever is ahead of them.
Those charts show that even up to $50 isn't that much of a push. Awesome!

In my time here, I'd certainly have never expected to see Mt. Gox's chart guide become "old". Of course the concept at $40 or $4,000 holds but I found it kind of funny since we're past it now.

Yes I know that's redacted. It lasted about the length of me typing out that post to already bypass it. Bitcoin, you crazy thing! All the <3

I was just looking at this 10 minutes ago and I'm like, maybe he's off by a dollar. It's high $41s and certainly not $42s... *looks again*, well I'll be....
That didn't last long. Easily $43 or higher before the night's out I'll say.

Maybe every $5? That'd still relate to a thread every few days or on any normal week, a week or two.

I approve of this thread.

There are going to be a lot of happy people waking up tomorrow I think. Which yeah, I'd imagine would push to 40!

Someone decided to make a big green candle from the wax company.
...and paid for it in BTC. Nice.

Wow that BitSpend site looks sweet. Nice to see someone develop that ability for using coins at any site out there for the most part.
Also on the Kim news, cool. Oh I mean, Rally!

Well, this thread got ugly fast.
Neo, wow, horrible. Reported immediately.
The rest of you guys, sure, we're frustrated but take it to IDK, maybe a "Why I hate BFL" thread. This one's for updates only.
ooo a nifty lock button. Shoo, gentleman. We're done here.

As updated per Josh and that other thread near mine, Bumping is now completed. We'll await details for the next step, thanks. OP updated.

Thanks PL for that chart. Even I haven't seen that one before. Certainly we've beaten the "BFL has slipped on their deadlines" horse to death by now. Photo of cases seems to be neat. Just wanted to put the update out there for those who don't regularly check BFL's forums.

Uh, that Bitcoin has evolved into some sort of in-joke isn't going to mean those people going to buy some. But great interview anyway. Yeah, it's neat he mentioned Bitcoin but he preferred Gold over it and it was more of a passing thought. Now, I'm sure that Doug knows what Bitcoin is but as to why he feels Gold is better, that isn't delved into. But true, the more "traditional" investors and such do put the word out there and speak of it, the more attention BTC receives so I'd still like to believe the outlook is positive and moving forward.

Up we go! Bulls, don't disapoint me when I wake up later today

WOW that's going to be awesome if it gets out there in any quantity.
