1061  Economy / Speculation / Re: Long Now Available at Bitcoinica! on: February 12, 2012, 11:39:35 PM
It definitely is available. I just made a long buy so Rally on!
Long positions are only available until someone takes them.  Once a few more people go long, the "*" will be  back.

Who in their right mind would go long based on the current trend?

I would

lol. Yea. Ive been at the local TAB and seen people throw $50 on a nag a minute before the race only to lose their hard earned money too. The world is full of people that love to gamble against the odds.  Grin

You sell at the low at buy at the high I presume?

No. I buy into trends.  Grin

I never enjoyed missing the majority of a move.  Different strokes?

1064  Economy / Speculation / Re: how large of a wall would stop bitcoinica? on: February 12, 2012, 09:54:45 PM
I assume that most of the sudden 7-15k sells are the bitcoinica bot.  Is that wrong?

Unless you can prove it why assume its right?
1065  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY! on: February 12, 2012, 02:49:15 AM
I would post the same chart today... big crossover is coming...
1066  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict next movement on: February 11, 2012, 09:40:04 PM
I predict we will see a big wall appear between $5.20 and $5.40 in the next week or two.  This will be the flag for the big rally. UPUPUP
1067  Economy / Services / Re: Coinabul - Buy Silver/Gold for Bitcoin on: February 11, 2012, 05:19:26 PM
Another happy customer here.  I bought some silver bars and coins, both showed up in excellent packaging and excellent condition.  I was also very impressed with the level of customer service I received in both forum PMs and emails.  Coinabul is a great BTC business.  So far since I bought BTC has gone down and silver spot has gone up!
1068  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think it is safe bet to BUY bitcoins now. My speculation. on: February 11, 2012, 12:29:18 PM
a 'big' move is coming given how close the daily MACD is to crossing on the neutral line and how close the weekly MACD is to crossing up past the neutral line. Either a massive amount of selling happens like now or we are going to be hitting new highs and fast come the next couple of weeks to months because of basic technical analysis.

That's why it's so easy to manipulate this market.  You don't have to move the price, you just have to manipulate the MACD and you'll leverage every amateur who trades using only that signal.

this.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MACD

Not only do you have to move the price to "manipulate" MACD you have to move the price over a long enough period of time to see it reflected in a moving average

Good thing the socket.io went down again... I was getting sick of knowing what the price was anyway...

Haha, that made me lol :p
Too bad it's downright sad how poorly their API is for the amount of trade volume they get =/

I bet they could even get a bunch decent contract developers right from this forum...

After posting their financial information and hardware specifications, why is the community not outraged by these problems in times of "heavy" trading? Problems being defined as slow processesing of trades.  Slow website connectivity, mtgoxlive connectivity, etc.

You have to be crazy enough to put money in these exchanges to be in a position to be outraged by these problems.  Wink

I havent risked much money at all.  But I truly care about BTC and I am sure the BTC will not grow until we overcome these exchange inefficiencies.

I mean... youd have to be crazy to buy enough mining great to be outraged by this BIP 16/17 stuff right?
1078  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is goxxing? on: February 08, 2012, 12:28:10 PM
THIS IS AMAZING to watch. I love you good big player!!!  Keep up the good work! Grin

Where are you watching? I am still blind.
