81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The worst situation you're in that you regret that you learn about gambling on: January 25, 2024, 09:34:37 PM
To sum this up, if we say we do regret learning gambling in life, it means we are in a situation where there's no escape. A big problem causing us to become irresponsible and mess up our lives. Regret is a big word. To consider a thing regrettable means it brings emotional stress to the person to the highest level.

Fortunately, I'm not in a situation right now where I can consider gambling as a regrettable thing I did in my life.

Even if I'm losing much doing gambling, it doesn't mean I will forget who I am, and what should I do.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What strategies do you adopt that can help to make millions in sport betting on: January 25, 2024, 09:18:19 PM
After going through the thread below titled "Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting?"
I think it's possible using some sporting strategies. I wish to know which strategy have you been using to win big as a gambler.

None of the choices in the poll seems applicable to your desired goal of reaching millions in sports betting.

Bet and stake high and choose those risky odds. You can't just simply reach it without risking a huge thing on your part. But is it really important to achieve millions in sports betting? Why not just try to keep the profit flowing to your wallet continuously?

The strategy would be, to always try to minimize losses and maintain a good winning record.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 25, 2024, 09:06:07 PM
Is there anything like guarantee bets, I don't think so because we should already know how gambling works and what we can expect as an outcome of it when we have a good chance of winning with luck, aside from that, no one can predict a game 100% right at all time and this is what makes it impossible.

Even with odds ranging from 1.01 to 1.50 can't even guarantee a sure win as an upset happened. Gamblers can't even take advantage of those odds since the payout is so low that they are just wasting their time placing a bet for it. It's even more risky to bet on that considered safe odds since a bettor needs to stake a decent and good amount just to feel the profit in return.

I'd rather risk my money placing on high odds and decide on my own instead of listening to these supposed gambling experts' predictions.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: January 25, 2024, 08:56:33 PM
This makes my bet risk free as I know that even if I lose the bet i will lose only 1% of my gambling money.

I don't like that mindset as a gambler. It does mean that you are just gambling for nothing. Since for you, it's just 1% of your gambling money, then it's ok to throw that amount when you lose without realizing in the long-run, that 1% is already big in total. Just imagine that.

To most gamblers, it's hard to follow a strict rule of just risking 1% in gambling as the temptation is always there to continue. I also don't want to follow that idea but instead, I will just responsibly stop if I think my current gambling session seems unfortunate or in bad losing streak.

85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you preffer your dealer talkative or not? on: January 24, 2024, 11:02:40 PM
It will be subjective as different people will have different reactions depending on how the dealer talks. For example in some cases, there will be people who find the dealer annoying while talking but to some, the way the dealer talks is nice. If it's just an ordinary discussion, that's normal, but if the dealer put some inappropriate topic to mention, it might create a commotion for those who don't want to hear that said topic.

As far as I know, these dealers are following a certain protocol during their sessions.

There are prohibited topics to be mentioned while currently in the session. It's on their guidelines.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to win a game given to you in the dream? on: January 24, 2024, 10:52:23 PM
I found this bullshit, sorry and no offense.

A dream is a dream, that's it. Although in some people's dreams, they might find a hint tips on what they should do in reality, it's not the case that mostly happened to everyone. Instead, it will just create a false expectation especially if that doesn't happen in reality.

What I see in the situation is, that if the person is expecting too much in gambling, that mindset creates the dream related to gambling.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The need to control your emotions as a football fan. on: January 24, 2024, 10:40:47 PM
To be honest, I'm from Mozambique and I planned to bet on Ghana, for me, even though I really like my country's national team, in my head my country's national team had no chance of winning in that game, unfortunately I didn't have money in my account that's why I didn't bet on Ghana to win. Now talking about emotions, Ghana was not the only team that lost points and left their fans angry, Ivory Coast also lost points and left their fans very angry. I think that what is happening is that for many years teams like Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria were seen as the strongest teams

I was just about to ask OP what's the status of both teams overall but when I read this post, it says it all. It's now clear to me that Mozambique is the underdog, that even worse than the usual underdog against the much stronger Ghana. It's a slap to the face on the Ghanaian team to lose over Mozambique which was supposed to be a bonus round for them but an upset happened.

If that's the situation that happened, I can't blame the fans for how they reacted. It's a problem that the Ghana team should work out.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 19, 2024, 10:39:19 PM
We all know that there's no assurance at all, just another wild pick and if things goes well your trust will increase, but if not, it's your money that lose and nothing from that so-called pro.

No risks at all at the side of these predictors. If they correctly guess the picks, then easy profit. If they are wrong, they will just move on to another pick. Easy money for these predictors. But what I'm more concern is, why there are people who still believes on that?

There are good at analysis but it's another story if we talk about, guessing the right bet. In sports betting, it's not just that we pick and analyze, as of course, we should maximize the potential of our analysis by taking a good odds and not just to stay at considered safe odds where profit is not that much.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: January 19, 2024, 10:35:47 PM
The best thing is what the title says, when you're winning, still be chill. And when you're losing then be aware that you need to be controllable because you might just bet continuously and going to lose all of that money at once. Not all gamblers are profitable daily and if you're done with the day and you've gained some that you're contented, that's nice.

That's the best action we need to always consider whether winning or losing. But even we know the best thing that we should do, once we feel the pressure, we are disregarding those advisable things that needs to do. Instead, we are pushing more ourselves to gamble more since we are not satisfy with the result on that particular session.

Others are able to still make profit even taking the risks to push more but at most cases, gamblers ended up regrettable and will ask themselves several times that they should cashout their winnings already and not ended up broke instead.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 19, 2024, 10:33:19 PM
Since the figure and amount of money was being mentioned here now, I will also say that I will cashout already that amount.

Though is that really what I do once I encounter myself on that situation?

Depending on the game status, I might wait until the end. I need to watch the game live to see and analyze the possible outcome.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Draw betting strategy on: January 19, 2024, 10:32:00 PM
5.Bet on specific leagues: some leagues are known for having a higher occurrence of draws . leagues like Montenegro, Romania, Morocco botola pro, Spain segunda, Iran pro league and few others.

High occurrence of draws? I don't think that is something that can be predicted. I can't comment much about that but if you see past performance of most matches on these specific leagues always end up draw, you can try and risk some money for it.

Since you mentioned there are specific leagues where draws are likely always happen, then I'm sure the odds for a Draw is something that is not interesting to place a bet with since it always occurs. What's your view seeing the odds given on the Draw result regardless of what team is facing each other?
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: January 19, 2024, 10:27:52 PM
As gamblers, we love more action, so we tend to make more bets on a regular basis. However, experts say that when we make too many picks regularly, our chances of winning decrease. This is due to the fact that we won't be able to analyze all the games carefully that are in our ticket and won't have the advantage needed to win. So instead, it's recommended that we should value quality over quantity if we want to succeed in sports betting.

Disagree. They just conclude everything as if they know how most bettors are handling their bets.

There is no official source where these experts can tell or prove that bettors who are making many picks regularly are not analyzing all the games they betting with. It's impossible for me that these bettors will just randomly pick a bet without doing a hard analysis.

It's not the reason why the winning chance decrease. It's just that it's gambling we are talking about and even how good the analysis is, it's still 50-50.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The PCSO Lotto is shrouded in doubt due to the picture of the winner shown on: January 19, 2024, 10:25:21 PM
but never in my entire life have i seen or known someone who actually won sweepstakes in our country. the one on tv who ironed his ticket got his money after several years but there must have been some arrangement behind the scenes that he only got a partial amount.

There's a real winner. It's just that in that case on this topic, it was suspicious especially that the jackpot was being raised and the timing is critical. It's a tactic to attract people to bet more. I don't know if PCSO are thinking properly and they should anticipate that posting that pic will really raised some questions.

Regarding that lotto winner that still got his money after being ironed, he should just be thankful because it's clear on the lottoery terms that the winning lotto ticket should be properly in its 100% proper state when claiming the money. But as report says, he still got home millions. Not bad at all even that person did some mistake.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 19, 2024, 10:19:14 PM
I don't know what to react since I know my mother don't even know how to gamble. But even it's hard to imagined that she do gamble and I surprised she is like that for long, as long as she is doing well in our family, with no financial struggle nor change in behaviour, then I will just allow her to do so. On the way though, I will do some discussions with her related to gambling and will always asks, "how's everything"?

The fact that I learned now her habit, I will make sure I'll always keep her on my watch.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Higher and lower risks in gambling is the gamblers choice. on: January 19, 2024, 10:16:25 PM
I don't know if everyone is aware of this that the more risks you takes on your predictions is the more higher the game odds, and this set of gambling demands lower stakes due to the chances to win is extremely high. Strategically, you are trying to safe your funds from some sort of impossible winning because it is obvious that you are daring the game with such high risks.

And the lower risks you takes on your predictions is the smaller the game odds which you may demand higher stakes to secure an appreciative winning. Although there is still no assurance of winning here for winning in gambling is strictly game of luck.

This is all about you either faces your fears and ready to accept what it brings or you withdraws from your fears and minimizes the threats outcomes.

As the famous saying in investment-related discussions, high risks yield high rewards. The same idea of taking low risks will only yield not that much but a sure and consisten one. In gambling, the gambler needs to analyze what category they should put themselves in. It's fine to take high risks but always be cautious as that might be the reason for the bankroll to easily busted.

High odds in sports betting, for example, are applied that high by bookies and odds providers because the chance of hitting it is kinda low.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 18, 2024, 11:55:08 PM
How can one control the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on once life.

It's getting worse every day. I'm extremely depressed I have thoughts of unaliving myself more often, some times I feel the betting companies manipulate people spiritually to get them addicted where be playing without plans and strategy. Once a bet place get cut, there is this uncomfortable urge to quickly book another one with the plans of recovering the first money lost but it will end up cutting again.

There is no choice but to deal with it with yourself. You need to fight the temptation of gambling. Try to consider doing other things and make yourself busy. The fact that you were able to post here with your problem, means you can still manage to help yourself and get out of that temptation of pushing yourself to gambling.

You can do it mate, you need to help and force yourself to stop gambling whatever it takes.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: January 18, 2024, 11:53:11 PM
We can't discuss gambling related to religion here as everyone has a different opinion about this and the cycle will just never end. Let's just put it simply that there's no 100% perfect religion where everyone will follow their respective things to be followed. In most parts of the world, people are exposed to gambling regardless of their religion that's why there's always a chance that these people will do gambling even if it's not allowed in their religion.

Same as how people treat liquors, drugs and other considered sin activities.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The chance of hitting the Bonus Feature = Buy Feature vs. Manual on: January 12, 2024, 11:56:54 PM
Getting the Bonus Feature is not easy even using the Buy Feature because, in slot games, we have to have the luck to hit the Bonus Feature.

I'm confused about the statement. Isn't the purpose of the buy feature is to not wait for the manual bet to trigger it? No need for luck.

Anyway, I agree that games with the buy feature are likely to have a lower chance of triggering it manually since it was luring those players to buy the feature instead. It doesn't matter to me though if we compare the chance of hitting it between buying it or just waiting manually. My issue is, that it's sometimes risky to buy a feature because you will end up not covering the amount you spend buying that feature. I'd rather wait for it through manual spin.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 12, 2024, 11:41:09 PM
One day I saw an old man of seventy [70] years old in gambling center were we bet for soccer predictions gambling bet, and I interviewed the old man that his age that why is it gambling up this age, and many people who don't know me was like wondering why I interviewed the man and some said why I mine questioning the man that gambling is a game of personal interest.so what I to ask a gambler is that what age should someone who is a gambler supposed to reach before the person retire in gambling or is it advisable for someone to continue to gamble until death separate us with gambling.

As a gambler what do you think that should be the right time we suppose to leave gambling weather we are making profits or we are not making profits with gambling, because I know quite well that gambling whenever you are making profits you will wish to continue gambling unless that you run out of cash.

Isn't it annoying that you interviewed and asked that man why he still gambled at his age?

It's out of our business anymore even if you don't have any bad intention of asking that. The old guy might just be enjoying his life to the fullest as maybe he's used to gambling during his prime days. There's no right age to stop gambling. As long as the gambler is a responsible person in gambling, they can continue regardless of their age, until their inner self shows no interest anymore in gambling or is no longer capable anymore to do gambling.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 12, 2024, 11:26:00 PM
We countlessly experiences new gamblers on daily basis in the gambling boards. Not just in this platform of
a mere gambling discussion but in a reality of gambling. So briefly, I call to your attentions the newbie gamblers to be aware that>>>
"Responsible gambling is cordially adhered by your audible alertness to realize that temptations as irresponsible gambling is inspired by your desperacies of making profits or recovering your losts".

Fellow experienced gamblers, your brief contributions would also be valuable.

Sometimes, a good lesson will only learned once we make a big mistake. I doubt a newbie who will have a perfect or consistent winning experience during their early days at gambling will understand how to become a responsible gambler in the long run. These newbies who will experience only good moments in gambling at first will think that gambling is just simple and easy.

It's good for me to see these newbies experience the worst to see if they will continue or not on their gambling habit. That's the only time they will start to learn to be disciplined and responsible as they don't want to have that worst experience again. I hope they will and won't fall on the negative effects of gambling.
