Merged 2 FAQ questions and modified it: Q: I can't post / embed an image and I'm a newbie. Why?A: Embedded images have been disabled for newbies due to abuse (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1172918.0). You'll be able to post images when you become Jr. Member or if you pay a small fee. See more: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.0. Q: I'm a newbie and I really need to be able to post images for <insert any reason here>. Is there any way I can bypass these restrictions? A: Aside from having the thread posted by a user who is not a newbie or continuing to post until you become Jr. Member, nope. ... Sure, feel free. Post the link to the thread and I'll add it to OP alongside other translations.
Not sure about the cut off though. There's a 60000 byte (not sure, theymos mentioned the limit some time ago) for posts so it could be that Arabic characters are stored inefficiently so they fill up the limit in fewer actual characters.
∙ Is there a Filipino version of this Rules and Guideline thread in the Local Forum - Philippines? - If there's none, I will translate this during my free time. ...
Here's the Tagalog (Filipino) Version that I made and Posted in the Philippine Local Board: Unofficial Forum Rules & Guildelines (Tagalog Version)If it's good enough for you, you can link it to the OP. (Guidelines for Threads are not included for now)I will try to keep the Local Thread updated with the OP. Added the filipino and the previously linked arabic translations.

I think hilariousanco finally snapped (or got hacked). Either that or I'm really out of the loop (wouldn't be the first time). On a side note, does anyone actually believe gender is a social construct?
(Relatively) Quite a lot of people nowadays do. Am I the only one that believe it cant be changed?
Anyone who thinks that it can is a bamboozled idiot. Those people are not any better than the "vaccines cause autism" or "the earth is flat" baboons. Well I guess we know where you stand. I would consider myself very libertarian, and when it comes to social issues I am very open to many things. However I just find the whole gender thing really ridiculous. I guess I don't really care that much if there's a valid medical reason. Gender dysphoria is a thing and if it helps you cope / live and you're not annoying about it, it's fine with me. As long as it doesn't interfere with my life, live and let live. Anything beyond that seems pretty ridiculous. What is this thread tho?According to WolframAlpha, there are about 9,600 cases of gender dysphoria in the US. It seems like way more people than that are acting? like they "identify" as a different gender. Just seems really weird to me. That's the "anything beyond that" crowd. While I'm not a mental health specialist and might be missing some other group(s) that has (have) a valid medical reason for it, small yet vocal communities of people seem to do it solely for some sort of pseudo-political reasons, with others following suit. These communities seem to be extreme in their leanings, which does worry me.

1. Really depends on the topic. For certain subjects, you can express a similar or identical opinion, but add in terms of arguments, examples, evidence, different way of looking at things, etc. In general, the forum relies on the principle of "freedom of constructive speech".
2. This is probably one of the biggest forum's issues nowadays so it's understandable that people are pissed. The people that are against it hate it - be it for "selling out" for a few bucks, littering the forum with bright and annoying ads or degrading the forum's general quality with thousands of zero value, quite often incoherent posts. I stand somewhere in the middle - I know it's a viable way of earning Bitcoin, especially for those without any easily digitally monetisable skills, but I thoroughly despise all the spammers that use this to flood the forum with their garbage non-content.
3. In case you haven't noticed, the rules are listed in one of the stickied threads in this board. The issue is with the number of spammers. While we could hire 10 - 20 full-time moderators (increasing the forum's expenses exponentially) and try to crack down on all the people spamming, several existing moderators proposed policy changes that would quite effectively cut off these spammers. We tried bringing up the idea to theymos, yet we haven't received any response for quite some time.
