the question is what happens if WAVE hits the markets at 50% of the ICO price.
Exactly. As I watch my proportion of waves shrink every day, I imagine more and more fomo investors climbing on board the gravy train. This ICO is lasting too long. How impatient will the investors be when trading finally starts? Then people will realize: waves is vaporware and won't be mass marketable for years. These are also my concerns. I don't want to spread FUD, quite to the contrary. I simply ask this question loud, trying to ignite a discussion what the others think about such scenario. I know there will be fan boys coming at me en masse, screaming that this is not possible, but I accept to pay this price. Counter question: Give me an explanation to why this should/could happen? For me it wouldn't matter at all. I am in because of the long-term potential of the project. If the price rises in the short-term it's nice, if not I will start buying low Easy. People who acquired many coins and want to get more would push the price down to create panic selling in order to get more coins at cheaper prices. Many ICOs have seen that. What's the point for people who acquired many coins to push the price down (read- to reduce his wealth) and risking that the price will not recover and he will loose everything? Sure, that's the risk in short selling. But the big dumper hopes to create a panic sell. The big whale starts with 100 tokens, dumps them, hopes others will follow, and buys back cheaper coins and has a new total of 125 tokens. If the price picks up again, well the whale just made a 25% bonus. It happens all the time on the big exchanges. There is no guarantee of the price going up or that others will start selling, so that is the risk involved with this kind of shorting. Wouldn't the whale dump way more than that? Like 10k tokens to cause a panic sell?

I have a complete nob question. Is it technicaly posible to create a platform where you could store your fiat and have some sort of insentive to do so providing it's burst, scam and hack prove so you could at least store your money there and keep your bank current account just for paying bils?I understand it's compicated but could one day it become a reality and if so are Waves exploring a such possibility?
https://wallet.mycelium.com/Top 7 New Tools Coming Soon 1] Fiat accounts: fully-fledged, blockchain based. 2] Inexpensive remittance: most popular corridors. 3] Debit cards. Wallet - linked and in-wallet-issued. 4] Personal finance: convenient handling of bills and invoices. 5] Investments: efficient portfolios and hedging. 6] Escrow-protected business transactions and bets. 7] Crypto assets creation and exchange. "We support the Mycelium vision of creating a full-scale blockchain-agnostic mobile wallet, and would like to help Mycelium team bring it even further - by providing not only cryptocurrency but also fiat transfers within their wallet service. We believe in a certain convergence of fiat and crypto in the long run, so this should be one of the first steps in this direction. We need to provide some kind of an open-blockchain solution that can be used by existing financial services in order to reduce costs and provide a certain level of decentralization for their users. Blockchain-powered fiat transfers will be used in a variety of applications, including cross-border remittance, traditional online merchant payments, crowdfunding, etc. The sky is the limit here." - Sasha Ivanov Wow! Waves really has a future here. There will be huge buy orders at launch to pick up cheap Waves from dumpers. I'm one of those people.

there was a rumor that developers gonna place a buying wall at the very start of trading waves. How big'll be this wall? And how long will it exist (one day? one week? month?) If they will see that there is not enough buying power, will they dismiss it?
Was the rumour by any chance started by you? Stop spreading bullshit. If you have don't have the balls to buy into the ICO don't buy it. Otherwise grow up and don't expect the world to catch you if you screw up. Actually, I've spent nearly 31 btc and now got ~ 300k waves, so I'm not sure what are you talking about balls etc. You better to check Russian thread where Sasha35625 is saying that there will be a buying wall. here is the quote: Подождите, а разве не обещали часть собранных миллионов потратить на могучую бай стену? По цене не меньше предпродажной?
Где была такая инфа? будет стена, да. Translation: -wait a second wasn't there a mighty buying wall? with the price not less than the ico price? - Where the information was submitted? - sasha: The wall will be placed, yes If there is need for this ICO funds will be used to maintain buy walls. Very nice! I support this decision. Waves team going strategic. GO WAVES!

Will we be able to trade Waves after ICO ends?
of course, we waiting after ICO ends to see in big exchange maybe, poloniex and bittrex. So could we trade very next day after ICO ends like June 1? The goal is to enable investors to withdraw their tokens to their wallets or at least to exchanges wallets at once after ICO ends. We are on schedule as of now. Ah OK now I see the hidden message. "Exchanges wallets". Meaning it will be on exchanges right after ICO. I'm so excited can't wait. Go Waves!

Can Waves Devs explain if it will be launching or trading around June 1st?

There will be no delay due to other ICO's ending close to Lisk's launch date. We will not play the markets, and never will.
Lisk, as with every other crypto-currency in existence, is another step towards the right direction. Most of the people involved in the decentralized movement have yet to see the importance of testing different kinds of algorithms. Lisk is the FIRST platform that will provide a viable solution to scalability with it's current sidechains platform. We are hopeful that our path of decentralized applications running on sidechains will bring further innovations within the crypto ecosystem. Success is a marathon; as seen with Bitcoin, it takes time. There is no certainty of success with any of the current crypto experiments, but we have the resources, the motivation and most importantly, the grit to make it succeed.
Look at the bigger picture, decentralized networks is a big change from the centralized world we currently live in. This is what the decentralized movement is striving for; the people should have a choice.
Very good to hear! No delays! Too many ICO's ending close to LISK launch date I agree.

I am actually trying to find out some shit about this coin before it launches but it seems you guys are just spam fighting.
1. Do you need to be a delegate to stake? 2. Can Delegates reverse transactions? 3. is 101 the cap for delegates? 4. Can delegates be removed? 5. Will trezor and other hardware wallets that work of seed phrases be able to support lisk?
i can answer what i know to help ;p 1. yes. siNce it uses the DPoS system, delegates are one's recieving the "stakes" only. 2. no, delegates cannot reverse tx's, as they are each a separate person (or group) and only have the power of their votes vs everyone else 3. 101 is the cap yes. for now. this has been briefly touched on as could be raised in future as needed 4. yes. they are voted in and can be voted OUT the same (doing stuff community doesnt like , etc.) 5. idk ;p hope that helps, lisk chat and forums are best places for info Yeah I agree.
