When will you start accepting credit and debit card payments?that would further speed up the buying process
We do not have plans of accepting credit or debit cards because of the transaction fee and associated risk of charge backs. I regularly use my debit card to make purchases. The transaction fee is too low for me to even notice it (I really dont know if it exist)and never heard of charge back in debit card transaction.Anyway if you dont intend to allow it,its okay. You as a outer will not pay transaction fee. It is the seller who would pay as much as 3% transaction fee including the payment gateway fee. If you can use debit card to purchase, our argument is that you can use your online banking as well and hence save us the fee which we would pass on to the customer in case if we start accepting the debit card. Yeah I have not heard of charge back on debit cards but surely exist on credit cards. If course I can use online banking but as yiu may be aware theres is a timing restrictions on NEFT/IMPS transactions.I am an sbi account holder and they allow NEFT/IMPS etc transaction only during working hours. So if I want to buy bitcoin after 7:30 pm I have to wait till next morning

Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is selling bitcoins on eBay/PayPal High Risk??
|

Its a different story for Indian PayPal users. If you haven't linked your credit card,PayPal can not charge back. They have to transfer funds to users linked bank account after 48 hours because of RBI instructions. Once the money reaches your account, PayPal can't charge back it.All they can do is show the amount in negative on your account so that they can deduct it the next time you receive payment

Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-08-28] Reserve Bank Of India Wants To Monitor Bitcoin Activity
|
on: August 29, 2015, 09:21:55 PM

The Reserve Bank of India is once again creating problems for the Bitcoin users in that country. Already a number of Bitcoin ventures (especially exchanges) have closed down after the RBI prevented banks from working with them. Things are looking bleak in India, and until Raghuram Rajan steps down, Bitcoin will remain dormant there.
It doesn't matter who is at the helm of affairs, the retrograde mindset of excecutives will be the great hindrance in regulating bitcoin in India.I wouldn't be amazed if India would be the last country to regulate it

I have used Piiko, BitRefill and BitMoby. I liked BitMoby very much because of its zero-fee and great customer support. I have talked to them privately quite a few times. Gotta try Zebpay now! For users outside India, I would definitely recommend BitMoby. In India, either BitMoby or Zebpay.
Is Bitmoby app available for android mobile just like zebpay?

Economy / Scam Accusations / Multiply Btc Hundredfold in 24 hours : new Sca
|
on: August 29, 2015, 12:40:32 PM

the website url is http://up-btc.cf/ Although I haven't got into their trap but there are many things about them that made me sure they are scammers. Their Claim : They claim to multiply your bitcoin hunderfold in just one day . How do they claim to do it : According to them they have found what they say imperceptible but very significant flaw (associated with the commission)[/u]. According to them, using this flaw, a receiver gets more bitcoin then the sender has sent . Using this flaw they can earn lots of bitcoins by sending and receiving it multiple times. They promise to pay their investor half of what they earn from their investors.. Now what made me suspicious is that first there is no sign up or log in page on their site so how are they going to keep record of investor is not clear and in the absence of this information how will the return the profit to investor? Second, their Blockchain transaction history shows receiving btc from different addresses while no such data is available for sending and last but not least,if someone really found any such flaw that can make him rich, why would he discloses it to everyone? They can invest small amount of btc and keep all the profit to them

Hal Finney, RIP. Maybe you were Satoshi, thanks for everything. I didn't know about him until I read this topic which lead me to 'Google' him.He really made commendable contribution to bitcoin by being the first debugger and contributor to bitcoin code.

You need export license to sell is out of your country. You can then get rebate in tax for earning foreign exchange. But the problem with btc is that you can't get export license for it not does it come under forex business
Maybe for the sake of a quiet life you could declare it as software sales? Ultimately it's nothing more than computer code that you've created by mining it. Good idea..

bitcoin it's not regulated there see india here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_countrywhich mean that you are free to operate without tax, but it could not be the point anymore from this year(the wiki is not updated), if you can't ask locally it's better to declare your income to be safe there must be also a maximum that if not surpassed it should put you in a tax free zone, but i don't know how in india things work Cow shit isn't regulated either. If I sell several tons of it and make a profit I'll be expected to pay tax on it. You need export license to sell is out of your country. You can then get rebate in tax for earning foreign exchange. But the problem with btc is that you can't get export license for it not does it come under forex business

But it doesn't matter whether I declare it or not,the tax collecting authorities will eventually know from my bank account that I have received such and such amount from abroad and that could put be in legal trouble. So to be on a safer side I myself want to declare it but am at loss to figure out under what category should I show it.
