Local / India / Re: Three years back a guy had Rs. 50 lacs for investment...
|
on: October 30, 2015, 10:15:32 PM
|
I just stumbled upon a question in Yahoo answers. A guy asked the following question... I have Rs. 50 lacs for investment. i want to generate 50 to 60 k per month or 12 to 15 % return annually.?Of course, the best answer chosen did not excite me. But, just look at the last but one answer. What if the guy followed the last but one advice, that got one downvote ? https://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20121212021642AAx9KZXThat was bad investment advice. I agree with the down vote. Investment advice should depend on the needs of the investor. what you replied is correct but if he had invested in bitcoin, then i think his investment would have gone down because i think 3years back the price was above 500+ usd and today it is nearly 280+. How come ? Three years back means it was 2012, when the price was below $100. If he invested then, he could have enjoy the rally from $100 to $1000, i.e. 10 fold increase of his investment in one year. So, he could turn his Rs. 50 lacs to Rs. 5 crore. And in the end he would have lost them all through gambling. The way he would have earned those 5cr would also have been a kind of a gamble( investing in a cryptocurrecy with an uncertain future is gambling). So, doesn't matter if would have lost them while gambling. Uncertainty doesn't make everything gambling. Most investments have uncertainty to some level. I also think that it would have been a great decision on questioner's part had he heeded to that guy's answer and invested even 10% of his money in Bitcoin. That said let me add that only if we knew whats in store in future,we wouldn't be asking for advices

Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin
|
on: October 30, 2015, 08:55:46 PM

To be fair faucets are not that bad.. They advertise and attract newcomers to try out bitcoin, and from faucets they learn how micro transactions work.
Yes. Faucets are for new bitcoiners. If you want someone to get into bitcoin means showing faucets will work better for them to understand how bitcoin system fundamentally works and how to receive payments from that how we can send payments all there are possible with virtually free money. But they all sprout like mushrooms here and there, and often with so many ads you can't even see the claim button. Besides, it takes a long while before the btc you get there is even withdrawable, which afterwards you see the tx fees eat em all up. Yes some faucets deliberately hide the claim button I remember on one such faucet I couldn't find any genuine claim button unless I clicked all fake claim buttons.Thats very frustrating I came back to faucetbox and gave that faucet thumbs down .I hope its owner take note of it and keep from using too many fake claim buttons

It is a fact that wallet password can not be recovered. Will you only believe it when you hear it directly from everyone?
You're right. But the difference between people having and not having a problem is going to make or break the startup. Some people may not care that their passwords are unrecoverable. What about you? Do you think there's a problem, and you haven't found a decent solution? Those who doesn't care may be the one who doesn't have considerable amount of bitcoin in their wallet.Who wouldn't care if he has lots of bitcoin and if he forget password to his wallet? As far as I am concerned it definitely keeps bugging me that what if I ever forgot my password how am I going to get my bitcoin back?

I've hypothesized that people have a problem with unrecoverable passwords; I'm not sure if they really have it. That's why I'm asking for interviews — to find it out.
It is a fact that wallet password can not be recovered. Will you only believe it when you hear it directly from everyone? Even if you find it out after your interview I doubt you can come up with any solution because wallets passwords are unrecoverable because of security reasons

Can you pm me a link to your facebook account? What country is your account from?
Pm sent. This account was created from Japan. I bought it few months back and since then I am using it I dont have a referral link or anything but its pretty easy to look up gamblers stats on moneypot. If theyre brand new theres a good chance the player came from you. If theyre just showing up n using the faucet and brand new then the service is worth 0 to me [/quote] That's not the right way to decide it.Dont you get brand new players from other sources? How would you differentiate between new visitors coming from my promotion or other sources?
