I can see network at 11 MHs but i cant find one single pool larger than 1 Mhs...wtf is going on? Largest pool i found did not found block for 10 hours!

moneropool.com with +50%

I think they are located in Germany. Hope they don't attempt 51% attacks. If so, anyone knows how we would see this ?

51% attacks cannot be done with cryptonote coins, at least double spending isnt possible..

read this post from eizh : http://redd.it/26lqrp

"Monero is double-spend proof - read the CryptoNote whitepaper, or the sales pitch-ish section on the CryptoNote Technology page.
The only thing to be gained from a 51% attack is breaking consensus, and that would be tricky-ish to do anything very meaningful with that. But the normal 51% attack "issue" (the double-spend) is simply not an issue."

Monero cant be doublespent as I said, but a new chain can be made by a 51% attacker, which isnt much at all.

I don't think you should take this lightly. According to eizh's explanation : if you can make a new chain and have 51% or more of the network's hashing power, double spending is possible.

but who will be on the 'new' chain? no one, and any coins on it will be considered null, the attacker will amount nothing, I like Andreas explanation about it (on bitcoin) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWTQgmCuiCw&feature=youtu.be

Won't the new chain become the consensus chain when you launch it with 51% hashing power (and you keep this power for a long enough time) ?

My pool must be tested actively before release otherwise you get this kind of situation where miners mine for nothing.

What do you mean with "voting sums"? BTC spent for votes on MintPal?

@superresistant

I know a little bit french and in light of the poolwars going on I have the following lines to encourage you which I guess you'll like :

Un, deux, rabats ta queue
Traine tes couilles par terre,
Prends ta bite par les deux mains,
car nous allons en guerre,
contre les putains du quartier latin.

Remember keep voting on the MintPal.

According official text, "We take the voting winner every Monday evening (UTC), we announce the official closing time earlier in the day."

So, time now is only 15:10 UTC, evening starts at 18:00 UTC. Keep this.

Mintpal is good, but I hope people realize that Monero is much more than just another trend. True anonymous digital currency.

Confirm this. 51% attack is possible on cryptonote coins, double spending is not.
