81  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Mining fra laptop on: August 12, 2016, 10:35:00 PM

All hjelp tas imot med stor takk

Hei!

I wanted to share a BURST signature that I have had made... if anyone would like to use it, go ahead, I'll be changing mine here as well...

It looks cool, but it's a bit hard to make out the B in Burst.

Which pool.
Try another pool. And if the results are the same - something is wrong with your rig.
usually I mine 140 - 150 coins but last 2 days i mine 160 - 170 coins

I'm mining on supernova, but I think it was something to do with my gpu, it's all good again now  Smiley

I'm not sure why, but my hashrate has suddenly dropped from about 40 MH/s to 15 MH/s... Anything going on that I should know about? I haven't changed any settings on miner or GPU (using gtx 860m).

Hello everyone, just to let you know, we're still being voted to add on livecoin.net

https://www.livecoin.net/voting/voting/index

go vote to get BURST listed! Thanks!

I just voted. Remember that we get a free vote every 30 days.

It says "We focus our attention on coins from the TOP 3 of the list", and currently we are number 4.

Hello. Is it true that Ethereum Classic dev'team think about implement POC in ETC?

As far as I can tell, that's not on their minds, however, where did you find this?

I found something here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1559630.msg15858169#msg15858169

They (regular users) are definitely talking about Burst and PoC, but I'm not sure that the devs are planning to switch algos. It appears to have been suggested to them though.

Maybe the upcoming PR campaign is what's needed to break through the resistance points, and after that it's moon  Cool

Damn, missed the initial release of the Burstize asset! When is the second batch scheduled to be released?

At current price, but regardless all, 0.8$ per month is meaningless. Not worth the time and effort to put miners and make all work

If we were talking of anything else than PoC I would agree with you, but because this is PoC (and because of what I wrote in the last post), I disagree. It is totally worth it.  Smiley

All what you say is correct, and I know fact , if I mining my CPU works, my HDD works, but regardless all, mining profit from at 0.8$ per 1 TB is to small for me...
I read all infos you give me link, I read and much more...
Thanks for time and answers.
i'm also planning to the mining from my old pc using a 1 ter hardrive but after reading this calculation i was discourage thank you mates it is much better to buy the coin rather to burn my device.

There is virtually no wear and tear on devices that are used for Burst mining, which is one of the things that makes this technology unique. As far as I know this is the only coin where you can use your free hard drive space for mining. Because of how Proof-of-Capacity works, you are basically risking nothing by mining this coin. This means that you won't lose anything but rather earn 0.8$ with your 1 TB per month. There is no catch, and you can keep mining your other coins simultaneously.

If you read and learn more about Burst you will realize that there are lots of interesting projects going on, and there will be many new things introduced in the (near) future. The dev team is constantly working on improving the coin and technology, and the community is growing each day. These fundamentals alone make it likely that the value of Burst will rise and keep rising. So, personally, I would look at the 0.08$ per month for 1 TB of mining capacity as a cheap entry point, and not as a "fixed" monthly income.

If you want to earn more you can always buy an extra hard disk or two, or simply buy burstcoins and invest them into assets in the asset exchange.

Right now I mining one coin with GPU: at the end of the month I will paid: electricity I spend for mining 24 h/ 30 days and will got + 70% extra profit above...
So....
But I sow many video about Burst configure wallet, find old 500 GB hdd unused... and was prepared to start...

Only thing that confuses me was sentence in original thread, that GPU miner is nearly 10 times faster then CPU.
So that will give me some hope... but now , when you clarify that GB or TB are instead "hash rate" it is not important does I have CPU or GPU for mining.

You wish to use 1 TB, which means that you will have to create plot files in that free space. In order to mine, you need to chose a miner that reads your plots files (simplified, that is how you mine with Burst). The more TB you have allocated to your plots files, the more hash power you have. However, there are certain other factors that kick in too, such as how fast you are able to read your plot files each round. Using a GPU miner to read your plot files will be quicker, and in some scenarios it can make you earn a bit more, but with only 1 TB of space you might as well use a CPU miner. Whichever miner you choose, it will put very little load on your CPU/GPU, as they are mostly reading your plots files, and not making all kinds of heavy computations like with 'conventional' mining.

Since you are new, I recommend heading over to our official forum and checking out the FAQ section: https://forums.burst-team.us/category/12/faq.

*EDIT*

To earn more burstcoin in addition to your mining, you can also check out the surfbar and one of the threads about faucets:

If we allocate our LIR for dividends, will we also be staking as well as getting dividends? Or is it only possible to stake if you keep them in your own wallet? Staking and getting dividends is possible with the similar service on Just-dice.com using 'CLAMS', which is why I ask.

I'm on it as well  Wink

I climbed to 9th, bet that won't last long!

*edit*

Max amount of bets with auto doesn't work with me though, I have to stop the bot manually.

of course you need to stop the bot to change the bet amount. duhhhhhh!

I worded myself wrong here, I meant that I cannot specify the amount of ROLLS to enable the bot to stop after, say, 20 rolls. With me it just keeps rolling, so I have to stop it manually.

Light bulb over head....

Makes sense now. I'm sure the devs will add that feature.
Devs??

The feature is already there when you press the Auto button, but it's not working with me. It states that you can enter the value 0 to roll endlessly, but with me it rolls forever anyway.

Let me know if you want this miner we have to pay developer bounty for it.

That would be nice!

hmm, dont know if/what i did wrong but my wallet is still stuck...

Mine was too, but I managed to resolve it. Try this: Quit the wallet client (make sure it is gone from system tray too), go to AppData - Roaming - BurstWallet - burst_db and delete the burst.h2.db file. If you have problems deleting it, you can force quit java from task manager. Then, you can either fire up the wallet client again and manually sync the blockchain (didn't try that), or you can go to http://db.burst-team.us and download and unzip that same file you deleted earlier, and put it in the same folder. Then, when you fire up the wallet client, it should already be up-to-date, or else it will sync in no time at all.

Note: I have sometimes had problems installing one of the .jar files during previous windows wallet client installations (not this time though). It could perhaps be due to a java process running, or something else. However, a simple restart of my computer solved the issue.

Back in business Haitch! Thanks for the clear instructions, sometimes the simple obvious eludes me.

I see that you're back in business - nice deadline and reward =)
