1026  Economy / Marketplace / NYC Home made pizza delivery/ bitcoin on: May 11, 2011, 06:22:49 AM
Potential idea here...

I go to nyc weekly for chemotherapy and next week I want to do an experiment...

I will make pizzas in my apartment and deliver them for btc in nyc by hand via walking or biking or something. You'd call a number and I'd give you a bitcoin price right there. itd take 30-40 minutes per pizza to be cooked and any range of time to deliver depending on distance. Price would not include tip, but after you receive it, a tip to the same address would be appreciated. anyone live in new york or bergen county interested in this?, and if so, what toppings do you like? I've worked at at an organic pizza place before and will try to get organic pizzas, it may be expensive so I may also get regular pizza material.

Any feedback would be appreciated! I go to sloan kettering this next wednesday or so (may 18). I'd also love to take bitbills and would probably do a small discount for them!
1027  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Toss - Flip a coin and win double your entry! on: May 11, 2011, 06:05:49 AM
i'm pretty sure your referrals pay before any confirmations, just keep that in mind.

Hi, that's incorrect, but thank you. The referral fee gets paid after 1 confirmation of the entry, in the same code block that pays out winnings.

*looks into code to make sure*   ...yep

ok cool, just happened to get a referral of equivalent value right after a bet, lol coincidental
1028  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Toss - Flip a coin and win double your entry! on: May 11, 2011, 06:04:12 AM
Well, I guess you guys have shown me what's what.  Now that my personal laundry is being aired maybe I should post my address so you can all come and kick me in the nuts too.

A phone number would be fine too Tongue
1029  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Toss - Flip a coin and win double your entry! on: May 11, 2011, 05:07:25 AM
The part that cracked me up was that he "researched basic betting strategies".

Yes that bit's good too.

The part that cracked me up is how he equates 30 hours of non-stop photoshop work and php/ajax coding with 'dropped into my lap'.

Not to mention the forethought to buy the domain, get it hosted, blah blah blah.

It's a business venture, not free money.

considering the whole "coin flip" thing, I feel he wouldn't be asking for a small bit of generosity if he won 75 btc considering it has the same odds. Tongue

additionally, i'm pretty sure your referrals pay before any confirmations, just keep that in mind.

I feel like we should take down his gambling sites like probiwon off the wiki

What we need to do...  is make absolutely CERTAIN that every newbie KNOWS that they cannot use sites like BTC-asswipe.com because he is a criminal who cannot be trusted.

For example, in my upcoming "Bitcoin for Dummies"-type site I am working on, I will definitely include a section of the Master Directory called,  "Known Scams & Fraud Sites to Avoid" ...and be sure to list his sites there...  so the entire Bitcoin Community knows to stay away from ever doing business with him.

It's VERY important to spread the word about scammers like him.... who give all of Bitcoin a bad name...

And, in fact, give all RUSSIANS a bad name.

Once again I say, if I were Russian, I would be be so ashamed and embarrassed to admit that this evil asswipe with the intelligence of a pea is a fellow countryman of mine.

Just Tweeted to 12,000+ Followers:

Criminal Owner of Russian Bitcoin Exchange site, BTCex Admits to orchestrating DDos Attack on Number One Bitcoin Exchange, http://MtGox.com

Do not be an asshole, I have nothing to do with it. Bitcoin in Russia just a very well known so there problems came from it: http://www.google.com/trends?q=bitcoin

Most likely you bought recently bitcoins and now are experiencing. This is understandable but I'm not here to blame and even Russian indirectly. ddos are from Vietnam mtgox wrote

What in gods name are you talking about? BTC dropped slightly to 3.5 when mtgox went down, the current price is 3.57, so if you have btc you made a little money.... not to mention everyone who couldn't buy today will buy tomorrow. BTC holders will make a killing when the US wakes up tomorrow
1032  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [MINER] Phoenix - New efficient, fast, modular miner **BFI_INT support!** on: April 27, 2011, 06:31:14 AM
itd be cool if this miner showed what difficulty ech potential hash > or = to 1 would solve. so like "347 diff not met/ not sent, 2 diff not met/ not sent etc.. be more interesting to see how close each potential hash is... lol

1035  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Building computer for mining, bought these. Advice? on: April 12, 2011, 04:32:03 AM
I thought you would have more experience with the specific info. but meh. How much would a 1ghash dedicated miner cost anyway?
1036  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Building computer for mining, bought these. Advice? on: April 12, 2011, 04:12:55 AM
WEll i bought all this on newegg already. This is my finished shopping cart. Never built a computer so im trying to have fun with it. Wanted to see if I did anything blatantly dumb, but my friend says it looks fine.
1037  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Building computer for mining, bought these. Advice? on: April 12, 2011, 04:07:00 AM
well its a do everything computer... I may make a dedicated miner eventually, but this is for everything with priority on mining
1038  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Building computer for mining, bought these. Advice? on: April 12, 2011, 04:01:28 AM
It hadpretty fair reviews. Opted for a 1kw supply since I have the two cards going. The terabyte is for storage as I may use this computer for browsing, etc. probably going to instal a completely legal *coughcough* windows 7 ultimate for minor tasks.
1039  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Building computer for mining, bought these. Advice? on: April 12, 2011, 03:53:55 AM
I think I thought it out fair, and will use the guiminer for each card. but anything blantantly stupid?
