Just out of curiosity, why did you not accept btc from the beginning?

Mostly because if it wasn't funded (or worse, have like 6k on kickstarter and 1k in btc) I'd have to refund all the btc. now it's guaranteed it'll be funded.
762  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: May 10, 2013, 01:03:33 AM
I would be willing to give it a try can you sent the board and loose parts?
I will pay for them. Can you accept PayPal ?
I'll see if I have parts in time but I can send the board anyway. Cost would be $2 for board plus $3 reg mail postage. I haven't worked out parts cost but guessing it would likely be around $8, so say $10 total plus shpg. Anyway, don't rush as lots of time before the boards gets here and I'll add up parts cost.

I'll put some pins suitable for a breadboard so that it has some utility beyond testing.

I'll keep 4 for myself and offer up 6. 1 is taken plus 1 if you want. Leaves 4 available.

Paypal ok. PM me for address.

hehe, if you send me a board with parts and such and sign it in a sharpie and write first! ill pay 12 plus shipping Cheesy

I'm interested if: not a scam, and payment accepted in ltc.

Well, there's no way it can be a scam right now considering this is all concept. If I make a store I might accept ltc, but btc would probably be preferred (also will take credit/debit and paypal probably)

ya know, it's gonna be incredibly entertaining to me if, after you've bought usb miners from me, (the asimcminer ones) i end up buying them from you. Cheesy

Tongue you can host a group buy if youd like! (I'll do a bulk discount) when the time comes
764  Economy / Goods / Re: My Kickstarter (4 Horsemen Playing Cards, accepting BTC soon) on: May 10, 2013, 01:00:29 AM
Ok now taking btc and litecoin, message me!

After trying a lot of pools with getwork available (since im using an asicminer blade) Yours turned out to be a real winner. One of the few pools that i can use with getwork until i can get a stratum proxy up (plus free altcoins! yay!). I have no idea why so few people mine here with 105% value or whatever. anyhoo sending 12 ghs your way Smiley
767  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades CHECK OP FOR PAYMENT on: May 09, 2013, 04:30:21 AM
Happy to reply my miner is working as intended, but I can't get stratum up right now. It's REALLY picky with pools with getwork, but mining at nameparking to get nmc, ixcoin, devcoin on top of it and it's working really well there, my backup is btcguild and it works well there too. averages about 12 ghs a second
768  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Asic chip Mini USB miner [Post if interested] on: May 08, 2013, 05:28:23 PM
Will there be no option to have a ready to mine option? to save extra time and shipping with me having to source a chip to send to you.

I probably want atleast 2 at these prices. Will there be an option to pay in BTC ?
Probably not from me. I just don't have the chips. But I'm sure someone else will step in and do that. I'll sell wholesale board/parts and they'll assemble with chips and sell complete.

I'll sell them wholesale, individual. Will set it up as time goes on.
769  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 08, 2013, 04:31:00 PM
and BFL (heat-death of universe). People will pay a premium for AM products because they can measure the risk.

I can see the last proton decaying and then BFL announces orders are shipping. Free express upgrade and 20% coupon too!

I've been tinkering with the 3D rendering in Kicad this morning so people can see what this could look like.

My current projection for retail price is $16 for a kit, and $25 for assembled - both NOT including the ASIC.

A kit would include a plastic stencil (1 per order only) and heat sink, and you'd need a skillet or toaster oven, and some skillz to put it together. I still have to source a suitable heat sink - something 1" x 1.5" would be ideal. I'm looking for something awesome but cheap.

Assembled ones would be ready to use - you'd send me an ASIC, I'd assemble and ship back.

This is upside down.
The bottom will have something covering it like compound or a plastic wafer of some sort. The top would be a heat sink - no 3D model for that.

You won't see these until at least July but if I have a sample ASIC then I'll make a prototype and take pre-orders when I know it's functional, pending only ASICs then. Check out my Klondike 16 board if you need more than 1 ASIC per board. I'm expecting the K16 won't need to be fully filled, and at $35/kit would be better for multiple chips.

771  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades CHECK OP FOR PAYMENT on: May 08, 2013, 04:22:31 AM
anyone here get a blade delivered in the states? i'm organizing a group buy for the USB's and trying to guess at potential customs fees. if you guys could provide any useful info in that regard, maybe the declared price of your blades or something, i'd appreciate it.

there was 0 fees

there is an unusual problem with my miner, it works, and sends shares (albeit at a lower rate than it should at about 10 ghs) but all the stats in the miner page are wrong, all the stats besides received and uptime are at 0 and received/ up time go up until uptime hits about 2 minutes and a few seconds, at which point the received and uptime reset and the miner takes a few seconds to send shares again. thoughts? my power supply is a 13.8v 19 amp radioshack one. the wires are braided 12 gauge wires that didn't fit into the power port. since it was braided and the board has 2 holes for positive and negative, i simply seperated the wires into 2 equal sized amount of wires and plugged them into the nessecary slots. (idk if this is a nono)

regardless anyone on irc now? query noitev_ and help me... if not online im either sleeping or driving and really want this fixed

Anyone know how soon these could make it into peoples hands? I would probably be a day 1 preorder for a few dependant on price/ship date.

This is literally in a state of waiting for avalon. they have yet to release chip specs, until then the boards apparently can't be progressed any further. When pre-ordering is an option, I'll set it up.
773  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Asic chip Mini USB miner [Post if interested] on: May 07, 2013, 09:37:41 AM
Here's my first pass on the Klondike 1 PCB layout.

Prettied up with designer colours.

Board is 1" wide and 1.5" long with USB tab sticking out about 0.5". I just realized I'll need to flip over the USB tabs so that the heat sink is on top. No worries, always stuff to fix up, but lots of time before any chips show up. This will run the same firmware as I'm developing for the Klondike 16 and 64.

Also noticed I lost some thermal vias during the copy over from 16 chip board. Ha ha, I was going to redo them anyway. It's just a quickie to see how it'll fit together.

adding to first post. lets keep this up Cheesy

Also If I see another person post it's decentralizing the network, it leads me to 1 of 2 conclusions...

1. You are solomining, which will probably never net a block.

2. you are using a pool (chances are, a big one) which doesn't really decentralize it.

either way the amount added to the network is so small I dare call it negligible

Why using a pool doesn't decentralize network? There are many pools, and you can move your hashrate between them freely. You can also start your own pool.

Although I do agree, that cumulative hashrate of these toys is gonna be negligible and thus would hardly do anything for decentralization.

just cause you are centralizing it to the pool. instead of a lot of small computers your adding hashrates to a big one. I love the idea, just way  way too expensive. was ready to buy a lot of these at a cheaper price and retail em, but many 2 btc is outrageous

Maybe you should consider CedarTec, although the debate on their legitimacy is not over.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170739.0

Their legitimacy is so in question I would hesitate to even reference them imo.

777  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL SC Single 60GH/s first-day preorder - 200 BTC on: May 07, 2013, 04:54:03 AM
I have a first-day preorder (actually, an order from 6/14/13 for four FPGA Singles that was converted) for two SC Single 60GH/s.  This order has recently been confirmed by BFL customer service staff to be considered a first day preorder, and will be one of the first orders to ship out.  I would like to sell one of them for 200 BTC.

Details:
Escrow through a trusted forum member is fine, but I won't be doing refunds (unless you don't get the unit, obviously).  If something is wrong with the unit, then you would be expected to deal with BFL.  The warranties are transferable, and I don't want to be the one on the hook if BFL sent out a non-working unit.  I would not be testing the unit at all - only shipping it directly to you as soon as I receive it.

I would ship via UPS (unless you want a different service), insured for $50,000, overnight, with early AM delivery.  I would ship out the day I received it.  Basically, everything I can do to make sure it gets to you as quickly and safely as possible.  Shipping costs would be covered by me, but I would require a small portion of the escrow amount be sent to me prior to shipping so I can cover those shipping costs (~$600!).

Your order is from the future.

that's how they get ya

Figured I should post some pics of my setup too.  The rack cost me about $10 to make (CPVC), everything from RONA.
