buyers are probably betting on btc price increase and they are spending $$ via instant bitcoin purchase on coinbase, then immediately spending on miners. This way, they essentially spent $$, but IF bitcoin appreciates and they will eventually sell mined bitcoin, they will make profit in $$. It is obvious that they will not make their price in BTC, unless your electricity is free or almost free. Even with free electricity it still won't break even. If they are betting on Bitcoin price going up, they could just directly buy bitcoin and hold. On the surface buying/holding btc may seem like the obvious way to invest in bitcoin but what would happen if the rest of us stop mining and let it further centralize??? I believe in civil disobedience so I will continue in the mining hardware arms race Besides, buying and holding is no fun anyways

I buy ALL my stuff from Yoshi in Bitmain Denver. NEVER have a problem with customs. He imports, you get your miner shipped from Denver. For about 1 1/2 years now. Excellent customer service.
Does he charge standard list price for the miners, or sell at a slight premium? Standard list, wire or BTC. You pay premium if you want USA warranty and/or pay with PAYAL USD. I use AMEX through PAYPAL usually. $100 per miner with USA warranty. Worth every penny. Just sidestepping the customs headaches is a blessing. Just had a batch one replaced, only down 6 days, one or two days was me trying to fix. Where could I contact him?. To buy a miner. Removed info If you are able to order from there please let us know. I know Wolfen has said he get's from there. I could have missed it but I sure have not seen a big jump of people saying they are able to order direct from US. For the rest it's been website or possibly email if really big sale. But I can't imagine if you buy a few US doing the selling but I could be wrong. I tried to order from Bitmain Denver on several occasions with no luck. Not sure if it was Yoshi that I was dealing with but it was the same guy that answered the phone everytime; typically they never answer the phone or return calls if you leave a message. I had 2 open tickets, sent all my information so that I could buy using Paypal but he kept telling me that it would be a few more days for some reason. Batch after Batch was selling out in the meantime, I got tired of being strung along so I drove an hour and half from the small town I live in to the nearest city with a bitcoin atm, purchased btc, and then ordered directly from Bitmain China with ZERO issues. I have done that 3 times now. Btw, if anyone can suggest an easier way buy btc please pm me.

Heating a home with natural gas will cost less then the electricity running miners. Gas is pretty cheap. I have natural gas, so I have no idea on what electric or oil would be. In 2.5 months it will be March, winter over in the Northeast US. If everyone spent all the money they spent on buying miners from Bitmain/China and upgrading electricity in the home (S7 time frames) they would of made a profit already. Two months ago BTC was -200. When did everyone start dumping money on the S7's? For BTC to survive we need to stop feeding China. I really laugh when I see users promoting certain non-china pools and then I see them on here buying S7's like donuts. Buying Chinese made mining hardware isn't the same as mining on one, but it does just feed the China machine that much more - in the grand scheme of things. The Bitcoin "industry" has already indicated this is a problem. Change has to start somewhere.
please point me to a new miner I can buy that is under 2k and not sold by china. I know we have some REALLY SMART people on this forum that know circuit boards and processors. Speaking to the REALLY SMART people: Can you make a bitcoin miner? Cost? Time? How can I help? I haven't been on this forum long, my interest in mining is what brought me here. The amount of knowledge present in this forum leads me to believe that a kick-starter or grassroots movement to build mining equipment as an alternative to the Chinese companies is not far-fetched. I will start a separate thread and see what others have to say. Pessimists need not apply and may remain here to bitch about Bitmain, ROI, etc.

Wow $200! You must be one of those craigslist buyers always trying to buy everybody's stuff for pennies on the dollar. Maybe the seller will throw in their first born at no additional charge.

Sorry this is my first time selling on the forum, I typically use ebay, craigslist, or amazon. I do not know how to upload pictures here and not familiar with the escrow process although it sounds like that is a preferred method here. I would be open to paypal with someone that can prove they are not a scammer. I am located in the US

I was curious about using a 240v? pdu for my antminer s7 but have zero experience with them. I believe my house has a line in it that I may be able to utilize but I need to have an electrician look it over first (2 20amp fuses with a funny looking outlet presumably for a window a/c unit?). I was curious what brand pdu everyone is using and what type of plug end it has?? Do these have built in surge protection? I currently use multiple corsair psu hooked up to some battery backups but no way to remotely reset them while I am away. Sorry, I am fairly new to this
