באיזה פקטור הולכת לעלות דרגת הקושי בכרייה? אפשר לרכוש היום מחשב כרייה תמורת משהו כמו 6500 ש"ח, שיעבוד ב- 2GHs או יותר, שזה אומר בערך 0.15 מטבעות ביום. זה יוצא יחסית לא רע, ואפשר להחזיר את ההשקעה, השאלה אם הקושי הולך לעלות בצורה דרסטית בשלושת החודשים הקרובים (בהנחה ששער במטבע לא ייפול באופן מפתיע). מישהו כבר עשה תחזיות?

I agree that action should be taken. I'm incredibly busy right now so I won't be able to dedicate any significant time for this, but I can contribute some funds to the effort. בקרוב ייכנסו לשוק מכונות כרייה מבוססות שבבים יעודיים ואז כריה עם כרטיס מסך לא תהיה רלוונטית.
כרגע זה עוד קצת רווחי כי השער עלה מהר ודרגת הקושי עוד לא עלתה באופן מלא, אבל לדעתי יאבד על זה הכלח לפני שבאמת יצא לך מזה משהו, כך שלא הייתי טורח להתחיל ללמוד איך מתעסקים.
קניית מכונות יעודיות עשויה להיות רווחית אבל מסוכנת מאד.

I always just assume that it was a tacit statement to the effect that "If you like my thinking or it has helped you, you can send some support my way".
Especially where someone is providing a real product or service, such as on some miner design threads.
Despite the confusingly same name "signature", these are two completely unrelated things. You're talking about placing a Bitcoin address in your forum signature. The OP was talking about generating an ECDSA digital signature using the private key associated with your Bitcoin address. I assume that this is different than encoding a message that can later be decoded with a password?
Yes. Encryption = encoding a message so that only one person can read it. (AFAIK Bitcoin private keys can't be used for this). Digital signature = Proving that you (where "you" is the owner of a certain private key) wrote a certain message. (The Bitcoin software automatically signs your transactions so they are accepted by the network, but you can also sign arbitrary messages on your own). |

Nice, thanks. But actually Freicoin's motivation is not to "tax the rich" but to eliminate basic interest (an economic rent). That is, make risk-free real interests drop to zero. That is, putting an end to capitalism within a free market context (for us they're different things, capitalism implies rents on real capital and money [symbolic capital], while the free market permits rents to disappear). So it's not about "taking from the rich what they've earned" but about "Stopping to give them what they've NOT earned". I guess "tax the rich" is just easier to explain. And the logo is not the "official one", although there was some talk about substituting it with something using the Artic tern mascot. Yeah, I admit Freicoin was the hardest one to explain as I don't fully understand the model myself - I don't understand why Freicoin supporters believe it will catch on. Thanks for your comments! I'll point out that while I don't fully agree with Freicoin's model, I sort of understand it, and will be happy to talk with ripper234 about it at some time... |

זה נחמד שיש מתאם בין חיפושים לשער אבל לא צריך לקחת את זה כפשוטו, הקשר הוא לא לינארי ולא אחד לאחד.
אני לא מאמין בשינוי היחידה שאליה המילה "ביטקוין" מתייחסת, לדעתי אפשר פשוט לעבוד עם mBTC ולקרוא לזה "מיל" או משהו.

2-of-2 multisig does exactly what's described in the OP. Alice sends to an address that requires signatures from both Alice and Bob. Alice can't take the coins back; Bob can't get the coins without Alice's approval, which she will only give after receiving the product. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crank_(person). He is basically saying that if you have <math>n=pq</math> and you know to very high precision the ratio <math>r=p/q</math> you can find p and q. Well, duh, p=(nr)^0.5 and q = (n/r)^0.5. You do not in general know the ratio, and there is no known efficient way to factor an arbitrary integer. If that person's method is as good as he thinks, he is welcome to try to factor RSA-2048. |
