2601  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Want a miner to heat my house.. on: November 24, 2017, 05:43:48 PM
How much space do you have for a setup?

I believe I have plenty of space..
2602  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Want a miner to heat my house.. on: November 24, 2017, 05:43:03 PM
A GPU rig might be  decent idea because I'd have to put a desktop in there anyway.. About how many watts can you pull with a GPU rig? I'm thinking 2-4k watts..

But I'm thinking asics would be the better bang for the buck as far as hash per watt..

I was thinking something like 2 S3 or S5 miners..  I don't know..

What I want is the best hash per watt bang for the buck but we don't have to care about profitability as far as electricity usage.. Just ROI on the machine itself..

So something that is just obsolete enough to be unprofitable for most people paying for electricity, just obsolete enough for its price to be in the tank, cheap, but just modern enough to crunch some decent hash..

So, bang for the buck hash/watt to roi on the equipment cost only.. Don't care about electricity..

Why heat a room with miners instead of a space heater? If I'm not mistaken it looks like free crypto to me..

If you want me to be more specific I'm attaching my motorhome to my bedroom with like a short space station dock hallway to it and want to set up a sort of office in there with a decent desktop, Ethernet, miners for heat, printer, filing cabinets, etc. so I can do all of my office business from there..

They don't exactly hold their heat well and I'm expecting tempatures regularly in the 0-20 degree ferinheight range outside with some days down to -20 with maybe -40 windchill..

And I have a 12 volt 190 amp power supply that should hang out somewhere around 12.5-13.5 volts that I want to try to use to power a miner and see if it explodes or whatever.. Put em in a firepeoof drywall box just incase..

So yeah.. What miner(s) to buy for this setup?
2603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold(BTG) to the moon...... on: November 23, 2017, 08:00:47 PM
Yeah, I'm holding for now..

Tinking I am just going to leave .75 BTC on cold keys that have everything on them.. Virgin since before all the forking.. Until it's worth like time to retire style between that and whatever else I can scheme to retire..
2604  Other / Politics & Society / Re: OBAMA was the best President in the world on: November 23, 2017, 02:21:59 AM
Obama was a GREAT president for anyone who wanted to take advantage of America.. Best in history I agree..

But if you yourself are an American getting taken advantage of, not so good..

Ya understand?
2605  Other / Meta / Re: Hijacked account, please paint.. on: November 23, 2017, 02:17:54 AM
You got me, I don't readily have any proof..

but..

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2239938.msg22605248#msg22605248
when will legalization bitcoin? why this does not happen? are there any countries that have legalized bitcoin?
or already somehow now it is possible to legalize the income received from Bitcoin?

It's pretty obvious..

I notified the owner and he said it's stolen..
That's all I got..
2606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eth can rise to 500usd it? on: November 23, 2017, 02:10:06 AM
What like a 40% rise?
Why would you be looking for a 40% gain in crypto? Pathetic..

Go find a smaller market cap coin that can go 400% or 4000%

Unless you need to put a ton of capitol into a trade, need the liquidity, these high marketcap coins aren't going to get you much..

If you like trading their moves, use a bunch of margin to actually make something..
2607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [PEPECASH] 🐸 Pepecash / RarePepe 🦄 Spepeculation Topic on: November 22, 2017, 11:28:33 PM
oh my god why do i come across this topic so late

I don't think it's too late..

Volume has dropped with the BTC crazyness but pepe value has held with increasing BTC very well..
2608  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Want a miner to heat my house.. on: November 22, 2017, 10:23:45 PM
I need to heat a room far away from my pellet stove so electric it is..
Might as well run miners in there no? Just get a bit of crypto out of the wall along with the same heat a space heater would provide..

Low noise would be nice but a lot of noise isnt out of the question..

I would like to get the most hash bang for the buck but its not extremely important..
Profitability for me would basically be just ROI the cost of the machine completely disregarding the electricity cost..

Or think of it I have free electricity, what miner(s) would you buy to mine on free electricity? When the ROI only concerned the equipment price..

I know any miner on free electricity is better than no miner but I have to pay for this miner (unless someone wants to give me one for free) so I'd like to make a decent choice as to what miner would be best for my situation..

Thanks a lot guys.. I'd be interested in offers as well probably..

I would like to pay paypal or whatever because no you aren't getting me to send any of my crypto..
Unless you want to trade for some rare pepe cards? I could do that..
2609  Other / Meta / Hijacked account, please paint.. on: November 22, 2017, 10:06:18 PM
This account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=288712

Jim Blasko, a crypto OG, His account has been taken by an unknown person.. I noticed earlier due to some posts from it that obviously did not come from Jim himself..

I have been in contact with Jim externally and he confirms it is stolen..

Could someone with more powerful trust than me pain this thing red to help avoid a possible scam attempt and to discourage hacked account holders in general..
Please make this account worthless to the person that holds it until Jim can get around to claiming it back after the holiday..

I PMed the present account holder and hopefully he can find it in his heart to just return it if he is a half decent member of the community..
This happened to me personally and I gave it back without a fuss after a hacked account got dumped on me as collateral.. My mistake..

Thank you very much for the paint..

Hey guys, Jim Blakso's account on bitcointalk.org has been hijacked, and seems he can't get this acct back.
Under no circumstanced should anyone take part in any OTC deals with this hijacked acct.

Jim Blasko's is going to create a new acct after thanksgiving.
Thanks for understanding.

Did you guys notice previously or just now that I said something?

And by the way I would really like to see and hope to encourage Jim to sign an old address and reclaim his account rather than just make a new one..
2611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Unbreakablecoin (UNB) | SHA256 - Over 3x Bigger then Bitcoin | No Premine on: November 22, 2017, 03:57:37 PM
Watch out guys..

I think Jim Blakso's account is hacked..

I'll be shooting him an email..
2612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: not even a scam on: November 21, 2017, 07:22:07 PM
I think Tether was recently hacked due to sabotage, i don't think someone from outside Tether would be able to hack tether from outside because that will be very hard thing to do.
This might be too much of a conspiracy theory, but I was thinking the same. Inside job, someone got paid to move those Tethers in order to create panic, 'coz someone else wanted to buy cheap BTC. A bit crazy, but makes sense, doesn't it?

I hypotheized that a government may be behind it to damage the crypto trade..

Who would want to just damage USDT?

Because the hacker would have to have known that his booty would soon be worthles and the end effect would only be to destroy tether..

IDKs
2613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: not even a scam on: November 21, 2017, 05:29:50 PM
Very interesting thread but I'm surprised that their are not more threads about the current hack..

I came to bitcointalk today to get the news from the community about the USDT hack and their seem to be little to nothing, except the usual sig spam threads..

Their is this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2436765.0;topicseen
But with a pathetic 10 total posts and no valuable information on the subject..

Where are the goods?
2614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My advice to Bitcoin newbies: relax on: November 13, 2017, 06:28:41 PM
I'd write a nice post but no one reads anyway prolly..

BTC is over $5k  !!!!

How fucking greedy are you?

Alright alright sorry for you poor newbs that bought the top, maybe it will go up even higher, maybe it won't..

You want to know how to make money trading? You take money from the unlucky sucker that bought the top..

Did you lose your money or take someone else's?
2615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 135 BTC Stolen from my Deepbit account!!!!!!!! on: November 13, 2017, 05:15:47 PM
OMG 135 BTC blah blah blah..

Curious gleb, did you find some sort of forensic connection to this old heist in one of your latest cases or what?
2616  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the next Bitcoin ATH? on: November 13, 2017, 03:33:57 PM
If it doesn't drop steadily for the next 2 years from here down to like 2500 or lower before the next upswing I will be plenty happy..

I've been saying BTC is going to $10k for years even before it broke 1k this time..
It didn't quite reach 10k but damn close enough for me to feel like I've been right all along..

I think I'm going to have to start saying some shit about BTC going to $50k now..
Not sure yet.. I need to pick a new number that is seemingly rediculous at first glance but yet somewhat plausible..

What did it go, about 20x this last run? About 350 to over 7k...

If it falls down to 2500 from here what is 20x 2500..

I'll be damned it's 50k..

Could very well be that this pump on the chart looks just like the last pump but 10x..
Pump to 1200 fall to 190..
Pump to 12000 fall to 1900?
Pump to 120000 fall to 19000?Huh

Hell if I know but look at the repeating patterns on the BTC all chart..

It seems everyone always thinks that last pump was the last pump their will be until it happens again and everyone is flabbergasted that the pattern continues..
2617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made this "ignore the FUD" poster and I didn't listen to my own advice :'( on: November 13, 2017, 03:26:15 PM
Thank you for the story Smiley

It feels kinda shatty hodling through this stuff like that too because of what ifs..
Even though I held and lost a bit you remind me I could have done much worse..

Last trollbox  ,I reminds me . 2 month before 8- million Btc move out cryptsy

Seems like just yesterday..

I have jumped into Bitcoin world like one month ago. I wasn't really involved with the any Cryptsy shit. And maybe this is really not necessary but i am really enjoying reading this topic... Even if there is 512 pages... I am on 71 currently... All upside downs, funny replies, trolls, false accusations, proofs, identity chase... This topic is really amusing.... Thank you! Hopefully in next 4-5 days i will read everything Cheesy

Yeah this is a good one, some of Bruno's best work in my experience..

I've just caught back up myself in time to see people get double scammed by the receiver it seems.. I like to make a little post as a bookmark when I catch back up so as to not lose my place..

I'm still anxiously awaiting the "We have BV locked in a shipping container bound for an undisclosed location in South America" post, or maybe "BV has organs harvested 1 by 1 in a Chinese Falun Gong practitioners concentration camp" post..

Another one of my "best work" is my thread on Brock Pierce where afterward a many folks exited The Bitcoin Foundation including Andreas Antonopoulos, then the Radar report who did an exposé on Brock years prior to the advent of Bitcoin contacted me and said that I uncover stuff that he wasn't aware of, then Brock called me and said, "Dude, you're good!" (paraphrase, but damn close to actual quote, whatever it was).

For Funny Sunday, this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmaRTZpJgPA

Back to Paul, I was the one who uncovered that he purchase a high-end home in Florida, about Jim Shockney, and that Paul and his wife worked intelligence together in the US Army but she didn't have a fuckin clue about Cryptsy's expenses or that the cum stands on Paul's underwear were not the result of him fucker her.  Roll Eyes

Recently, I uncovered BitConnect's cold bitcoin wallet address, the same bitcoins that are suppose to be earning dividends et al. in sustaining the daily 1% compounded interest to Investards. Thanks to my efforts, them Investards are slowly exiting BitConnect so to ... wait for it ... invest their windfall in the myriad BitConnect clones, all of which, like BitConnect, are NOT a Ponzi scheme.

Are you telling me I have to read all this now?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=610521.0

Like this 515 pages isn't quite enough..

On another note.. If those 11k BTC are really burned, man that's a chunk.. Makes all of our coin more valuable..
But deep inside me, I doubt it..

I just read some thread about the story of bobsurplus. I'm sure a few of you that follow this thread have come across it..
I think the synopsis of this thread will be even more epic..
