As stated.. this is new technology.
Yes, the fees are a little high.
Yes, I have to wait a little while for transactions to confirm.

That being said, I FULLY support this kind of tech!  Grin

Since I am blessed to be close to one of the two machines in the USA, yes, I am going to use the machine.
I want to support it's operation... I want to see more of them -- in every store and on every (other) corner!

Fees will drop... wait times will improve... but only if there is interest in the technology!

nicelooking ATM..How much till confirmation?

The confirmation wait was low this time... less than 5 minutes.

More updates!

So I went back for more 'processing' fun today!
In the middle of a transaction, the machine completely froze up.... not responding at all.

Luckily I saw a contact@ email address on the bottom of the screen.
Now mind you, it was Sunday at like 5pm -- who is gonna be on call, right?

I sent an email to the address listed stating I needed help with the machine in Chicago (Yes, Cassava Bread).
Within minutes I was contacted back and was on the phone with a support person for Midwest Bitcoin.

In 10 minutes they had fixed the problem, reset the machine, and I was able to complete my transaction.
Now THAT is customer service!!

 Grin

Note:  I had previously not mentioned Cassava because I didn't stop to eat the first time.  Today, we did stop to eat.
Yes, the food was excellent!!

You are asked if you want to buy or sell.... in my case, I tried a sales today to 1 BTC.

I click on 'Sell Bitcoin'
Next it asked me to enter a dollar amount --- so I typed in $500.

I am confused, the machine agreed to buy at your over priced entry of $500?

Yet clearly was selling to you at $479?

Please explain how you were able to just set the price you wanted and it wasn't pre determined (buy rate) by the machine. Or how this machine literally gives money away lol

Or there was a $21 rate change from when you sold at $500 and took the pic, doubtful but giving you a reason out.

Sorry for the confusion.   When entering the amount you want to withdraw you enter that amount in USD.  It then showed me a qr code asking for me to send 1.xx coins in.  It calculated my btc value to spend based on how much I wanted in USD.

Yeah, the 10 minute delay on transactions over $100 was a little bit of a put off... but its all still new, right!

Wouldn't it be possible to mine on multiple v2 pools at once... by listing your local address followed by each pool link like this:

java -cp pocminer_pool.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer_pool.POCMiner mine myhost:port pool1:port pool2:port

dead coin is dead Undecided

Really with over 8000 posts just discussing mostly about mining and technicals of the coin and its dead lol?

The only thing that brings everyone together in crypto is mining, this must be the first thread with over 8000 posts that has not seen any trolls, drama, crying little shits. 8000 posts of pure nerds and geeks  Grin

Now that's crypto!

no i think we can count him as the first troll!
+1

Lol... matters not... this is the fun part of the crypto world.
'Figuring' out how to do it!

It's a nice change of pace from the X11-X17 fires!

I have a mining question!

I am currently mining on the Simple Burst Pool:
http://198.199.103.145:8121/

I have been mining for a couple hours now with about 150GB in plots.
It it normal to not have a share submitted in that time frame?

Yes, sometimes upto 8 hours i noticed on my small plot  Sad

Ok, ty... while I am scaling up I just wanted to make sure everything was ok.

you cant solo mine with that address you really shouldnt use that... use the numeric one from  your wallet

You can't use your numeric address from your wallet... I entered my BURST- address and was assigned a new numerical address.
From there, I created plots based on that address and started mining on the pool.

to each his own.. if this pool ever went down you would be screwed.. have to totally replot everything with your REAL number.. you cant use that number anywhere else..

"v1 pool, requries you generate plots for this pool only usable there"

Yeah, I wasn't too happy about that... but I am still in the 'try it out' phase... so it's all good!

where has this pool been?

you cant use the solo generate address what lol

I didn't ... I followed the instructions.
Put in my Burst ID, created a new numeric address and created my plots based on that address.

Hey everyone,

I received two coins from the faucet which is what helped me get started.
I don't have much, but I would like to re-pay ten Burst to the faucet.

Before I do, I see there is a Deadline (24 Hours) field.
Should I make any adjustments to this field before sending to the faucet?

no, leave the deadline
Thank you.

10 Paid back to the faucet!

How much memory do you have in your GPU?
The most I can gen @ is 3000 on a higher end card.

The lower end ones with 1GB constantly fail with the error posted above.

My 2950 is AWESOME at dropping 2GB plot files left and right.
I move them off to other machines in my network and start chewing up disks!
