Thanks for the graph Bicknellski.
In the last 24 hours we've seen around 13 blocks. Things are getting slower and slower. At this rate I can expect to add my BFL ASIC to FRC before the difficulty changes, except someone else will have already done it by the time I get there.

There is now a 3.5 million LTC buy order on BTC-e. Not sure we are going to see 0.003BTC any time soon with that order sitting there.
I see the buy side at 844 bitcoins. Don't see how that translates to 3.5 million LTC. I should have taken a screenshot but Tacotime believes me

You've got some good points here and I agree, we did lose Coblee over this. To those of us who have been around it was obviously a Ponzi and it was a shame to see him start the pass-through and even worse to see him lose interest after it all crumbled. But BTC can continue without Satoshi and we all hope LTC can do the same.
There will be more scams to come no doubt about that. Let's hope that cryptocoin community becomes a bit wiser after each hit and not become too paranoid.

With all the major alts going down in value it seems that the newer alts are being parked for better days.
As far as I can tell the network hash rate for FRC is now around 6GH and the network is getting through around 18 blocks a day. This is going to put the next difficulty change in 25 days time.

My concern is that it will be super speedy to the customs office where it will sit for weeks.
I'm upgrading my shipping this week.

So I'm guessing that the most it can go up in difficulty a time is four times the current difficulty? Which explains why we had the 1, 4, 16, 64, 256, 1024, 4096 difficulties from the start.
|
|
|
It's difficult to tell as the difficulty went up times four until we got our current difficulty of 9772. The difficulties went like this...
1, 4, 16, 64, 256, 1024, 4096, 9772.
So I'm not sure where we'll end up circa 29th Jan. Perhaps as you say or either 1024 or 4096.

It seems that the network has slowed down some more. There are about 60 blocks being found a day at the moment. Looking at Coinotron over the last 19 blocks they have found 1 in 4.47 blocks meaning that Coinotron is finding 22% of blocks. As Coinotron over the last 24 hours has had 9GH on FRC we can speculate that the total current hashpower for FRC is currently around 40GH hopefully putting the difficulty even lower for the next change.

Good idea. Shame I'm in the UK. Does anyone have gold to sell me on the EU server?

Apparently the site for this was hacked and a lot of the codes were stolen. You can email AMD to get a new serial key for Dirt3 by providing a scan of your Dirt3 promo card.
I've no idea how to start this off but there are a lot of people out there talking about this. Get going so I can bid on your Dirt3 Steam serial.

So do tell Smoothie, why is that ignore link under your name highlighted when no one else's is?
No one? LOL get your fact straight buddy. You're taking me literally. But these other people who also have highlighted ignore links under their names, are they your role models? Does it matter? Let's digress more from the OP of this thread. I'm trying to get you to be reflective. It's a shame watching you steamroll so many threads and I wonder why you do it. No shame in calling out bullshit. Is that what you think you're doing? Everything on this site is bullshit to someone out there. Perhaps you think your behavior is endearing.

The Wiki you linked here is already added at the bottom of the first post of the stickied alt-coin list so I do not think this is something to worry about. If the alt-coin sticky does become outdated I'm sure a mod will happily swap it over for a link to the wiki.

If it were pump-and-dump, wouldn't you hear from them all the time? Wouldn't they be trumping the next big thing left and right?
Maybe they are, maybe you are the developer. But seriously it is good to hear that the developers can be contacted. I tried looking for contact details myself but never found any. I understand what you are saying but these are arguments that I have heard from lots of people in the past from people that stood by coins that are now dead. Some people move from being supporters of a coin to becoming cult members of a coin. You've got to keep and eye on yourself to make sure you're not crazy Rabbit. Mining for fun sounds like a good enough reason to mine, that's the reason I mine and jump on to the back of every alt-coin that pops up.

It can be patched to support merge mining but that requires a fork the same as Namecoin did.
