341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Strange 3 x 5850 Problem on: May 27, 2011, 02:50:40 AM
Crossfire enabled/disabled?

I have had 4 x 5850 on an Asrock P43DE. You have to use x1 extenders though of course. See Cablesaurus for them.

343  Other / Off-topic / Re: PHP developers - please stand up! on: May 26, 2011, 09:19:05 PM
Who here can name the original developer of PHP, what it was first named and which university he was attending at the time?

Without searching for it of course. Smiley
344  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining rig dual 5830's Questions asked and your thoughts appreciated on: May 26, 2011, 07:59:49 PM
2x 5870s + 1x 5850 uses < 550 Watts from the wall all overclocked (yes I actually measured it),

How are you pulling this off? What are your core/mem/vddc settings? Are you referring to just the cards or the entire system?
345  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining rig dual 5830's Questions asked and your thoughts appreciated on: May 26, 2011, 07:33:36 PM
Each 5830 will consume 160 watts at stock clocks.
Have you measured this? If so how did you measure?
346  Economy / Economics / Re: Why difficulty DOES affect price on: May 26, 2011, 07:18:41 PM
If I wanted to get 50 bitcoins, I could mine or buy them.

or steal them, which seems to be following price as well. I don't mean you tc, just in general...you know what I mean, I hope.

347  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of scammers! on: May 26, 2011, 05:54:37 AM
The forum member in question is "Dylan".

Dylan showed up on my scammer radar yesterday. I had not collected enough data to post a warning about him as of yet. I suspect that Dylan == Pompano, but again not enough data to support this suspicion.

350  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Selling the rest of my bitcoins and maybe some mining hardware. on: May 25, 2011, 02:23:17 AM
I might offer $100 USD for your 22 BTC if you are interested in USD. Might trade for another currency if USD ain't your thing. Also interested to know what hardware you have.
351  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: 690 Mhash/s mining rig - Brand new - Windows 7 pre-installed on: May 25, 2011, 12:16:23 AM
Does the price include shipping and where would it ship from (shipping ETA to 93432)? What ship method would you use?
352  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Selling the rest of my bitcoins and maybe some mining hardware. on: May 25, 2011, 12:12:31 AM
I may be interested in your BTC, what is your asking price? What hardware do you have?
353  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: PSU Issue? Miner locking up. on: May 24, 2011, 05:01:03 PM
What MB/CPU/RAM are you using? What core/mem/vddc are your GPUs set to?

You may be running up against PSU limits. I don't trust the https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_Hardware_Comparison for power consumption any longer after I measured 256W being pulled from a 5850 on just the two 6-pin PCIe connectors. Granted I had a reasonable OC.

355  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC to USD on: May 24, 2011, 06:38:31 AM
The question was why do you not consider bitcoins a currency.  The simple answer is that for it to be a currency it has to have a perception of currency.

No, I think the question was:
Out of curiosity, what leads you to believe BTC is not real money?

I didn't ask about currency, and regardless I was looking for an answer from the OP, out of curiosity.
