I pushed one to 202 but not stable for long (<5 mins). Dropped back to 188 stable. The rest of our stock 5770's run 170, I haven't got around to tweaking them.

What is to prevent someone making a clone of bitcoin and calling it bbitcoin.
Absolutely nothing at all.

If I was running bitcoin I would set-up a 1% tax on transactions. Where would this money go? It would be use to add more metals to back up the currency.
How would "more metals" back up a currency? Do you mean it would give value to a currency or make a currency more desirable? If yes, what gives value to those metals or makes them desirable? Or do you mean that limited availability of such metals would/could limit the amount of the available currency?

In addition to the unknown reason of why he would choose a loan requiring interest instead of the 0% interest loan I offered. Puzzling indeed.

I can do this 20 BTC loan to you but my condition is no interest/gain. Pay back 20 BTC within 30 days and I am satisfied. If this is acceptable to you provide an address for me to send 20 BTC to if different than 1P4y3HKKF5deh4rUBUAq6j4qjuqQhC9J7t. Return payment to 1BmVMDJ6RLVoibT1QkbByjgffyQX1e5o2i.

I can provide this loan. Could you please list the following:
How long are you requesting the loan? What frequency are repayments to be made? All at once or periodically?

Did you point your external IP:8333 into your internal W7 IP:8333 for both ethernet and wifi?
|
|
|
Are you NAT'd on wifi and not ethernet possibly?

I have thought about the same concept and how to implement but I don't understand the bitcoin wallet storage/protocol enough yet to offer a solution.
My thoughts about how to implement at the moment involve utilizing an alternate DB for the wallet, one of which can be R/W from multiple clients and/or locations and supporting reasonable row/field/etc locking as needed. As I understand from a few forum posts the Berkeley DB used currently opens an exclusive file lock (?) to the wallet DB preventing another process from access. I have not looked into the source as of yet, just been thinking about how to implement such for an alternate project unrelated to the OP question.
If I am heading down the wrong path could someone correct me?

Sorry, I meant not with a GPU that I am aware of. You can run CPU mining headless of course.
|
|
|
Is anyone running headless? Is there any way to mine without having to run X?
Not that I am aware of.

I attached a monitor to the ati card and tried running x, but it fails to load saying fglrx can't be found. Yet it does show up in lsmod. I The module showing up in lsmod is not the X driver/module. Get X running on your 5870 and it is likely your problems will disappear providing you have your ICD registration and env set up properly. find /usr/lib/xorg/ | grep -i fglrx /usr/lib/xorg/modules/linux/libfglrxdrm.so /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/fglrx_drv.so And re-fix up your xorg.conf with another aticonfig --initial -f

Also it looks like both fglrx and radeon modules show up in lsmod... is this normal?
Get rid of the radeon module.

I believe such a payment processing gateway and/or E-Wallet service would have to be non-anonymous for PayPal or any other similar service to take notice. Additionally the chargeback control issue becomes...well an issue.
I have contemplated implementing such a gateway/E-Wallet service however I am not yet sure how to deal with those concerns.

Although it would be difficult to have more than 20 years experience with Linux, it is possible with BSD.
If a 16+ hour day hacking away on Linux as opposed to an 8 hour workday count as 2+ then I think 20+ years is entirely possible.

I was having the same problem with the exact same ATT nameserver earlier today. Switched to Google nameservers and all is fine. Something funky with ATT/SBC today. Are you by any chance in California?

When a US citizen creates money, in the form of physical precious metals, and that money becomes successful, he gets prosecuted.

Yep, it is mostly moot in todays society. I just like understanding what is really happening so I can make sense of things when I hear of a judge/magistrate stating something like the Constitution is not applicable in his court. Now when I hear something like that or hear a ruling that sounds completely backwards and unfair I instead look at it from the standpoint of a simple contract enforcement and it makes much more sense. But this has strayed away from the OP topic...sorry.
