3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Stox - Prediction market platform | Token sale has ended on: September 05, 2019, 06:48:43 PM
A Chinese citizen who filed a lawsuit against crypto company Stox (listed as STX Technologies Ltd.) and Israeli blockchain entrepreneur Moshe Hogeg alleging fraud has decided to withdraw the suit following a mediation process, according to documents filed to the Tel Aviv district court Thursday and reviewed by Calcalist. As part of the mediation agreement, Hogeg agreed to pay the plaintiff, Zhewen Hu, $50,000 to cover trial costs.

Anyone want to try it out, buy a $1,000 STX, and then sue him, it is possible to get $50,000, or you can help me to prosecute. If you succeed, you can get 20% compensation... Israeli friends can try it...

please read carefully, the 50k went to trial costs, ie court costs and legal fees.  anyway stox is a scam and every israeli blockchain initiative is a scam or a fraud in some way.. still laughing news on the blockchain SNIP.. I warned you guys about those scammers years ago and people still invested and lost everything.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrawals for Canadians ? Life after quadrigacx on: August 26, 2019, 05:13:54 PM
Forgive me if this is the wrong forum but I see nothing else about exchanges here.

What is everyone doing to get their BTC to the bank in Canada ? or at least to your visa/mastercard ?

I used to use quadrigacx but noticed they recently went bust and the only other place in Canada I can find has horrible reviews and is asking for things like "take a picture of yourself" ..  I think I'll stop taking BTC before I send another one of these scam outfits my picture.  Any tips would be helpful.  I only get about $500 - $1000 /yr in coins.
Personally I'm not from Canada, and through news and articles came to know that Canada is a crypto friendly country. So, it doesn't seem to be a hard task to get the funds in a bank account. We've got localbitcoins providing universal service, and you can use that platform.

You would be wrong, Canada has less people than California, its actually quite bad for BTC. There are a couple of companies that do banking but they are horrible. They appear Chinese owned with a front in Canada and have spelling mistakes on their website.. I've been around long enough to know these are all scams,, they stay around for a couple of years robbing people blind and then one day gone.. just like quadragiacx,, even if its intentions were good the warning signs were there that its a fk up of a company.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrawals for Canadians ? Life after quadrigacx on: August 26, 2019, 05:07:19 PM
Thanks for these tips and I will check them out.. I was hoping to avoid KYC because that is not what BTC is about for me.  The last thing I'm going to do is verify myself with a shady fly by night outfit that has less money than me.   The ATM's are useless here and only for buying. There is only one in my region that advertises selling but when you call them he sounds like he just woke up and its in the false advertising / bad deal capital of the Canada called mississauga.

The best place seems to be to advertise it on craigslist and find someone local.  I was hoping for a smooth interac withdrawal like quadrigacx used to do before it went all KYC and scammy but that is hard to find now. Probably also the reason I take BTC less and less each year.

I laughed this POS coin out of the park but just had to come back to the thread to see how they did.. Sure enough its like the rest of the coins, loser third world spammers write nonsense stories about its potential and get paid $2 for it while the scammers who came up with this fraud run off with $10 million..
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snip, Decentralized Platform to Fight Fake News. Token Sale Soon! on: August 13, 2017, 03:34:54 PM
excuse me the topic is fake news and you ask what politics has to do with it ??  That might me the dumbest reply in this thread yet.  what do you think fake news is ? conspiracy in the sports and fashion section ?

It was an example of what real fake news is and how this coin can never do anything to fight it but in more likelihood support it.  Do you really think another coin / token / ico or is the solution to this problem, a problem which is not even a problem per se but a manufactured one.

the entire fake news movement was invented to discredit trump and again you ask how its relevant

positive fail

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snip, Decentralized Platform to Fight Fake News. Token Sale Soon! on: August 12, 2017, 07:29:34 PM

Many people are already enjoying our product at https://snip.today, even before the sale. Not really sure about you point about the fake news being fake news, do you deny that there's much false or low-quality information online?

There is fake news but it is un important and only made real when cnn picks it up. Otherwise its just some nonsense on someones social media from an anonymous source. The root of fake news is not an accident, its journalist not doing their job and many on purpose for a job and money or to promote their agenda. In the big picture I don't see how a decentralized platform and a coin helps this.

As a content creator, I would not go to your site, there are already much better platforms for me. I can see this shaping up to be a rip off scam site where people with no credibility are re regurgitating content from other sites.

Readers should check out trumps twitter to see how different it is from the propaganda fake news globalist nonsense that CNN is putting out.  Can you correct that with your site because that is the problem with fake news.

Is there a estimated time for that ?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snip, Decentralized Platform to Fight Fake News. Token Sale Soon! on: August 12, 2017, 05:46:12 AM
I think its a bad idea but so are 100% of the other coins. I used to say 90% but now they are all bad. With proper hype you might make a buck with a good pump or a storm out of the gate.

Its nothing new or exciting and the question always is how or why would anyone use your platform / coin or whatever idea is being pumped.  Especially with news which is mostly local and political and not something people switch often in their life.  The others reaching deep into geo politics already have their trusted platform and a coin site is not going validate their opinions.

The entire fake news thing is actually fake news. Its how CNN picks up anonymous sourced stories they couldn't do on their own, so they pick it up from minimum liability sites like buzzfeed and facebook, where it has always been proven to be anonymous or debunked as fake, so the real solution to fake new is don't trust sites like buzfeed / facebook / google puss / for news regarding world espionage.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ChanCoin on: August 12, 2017, 05:23:31 AM

13  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Big scam at Waves Decentralized Exchange platform on: August 10, 2017, 07:57:16 PM
This is the problem with decentralization. Some people are abusing and don't even care to harm others. Now i'm thinking that we really have problems making decentralization a norm.

It is all about human nature...as they say when the cat is away the mouse will play or is the other way around? Anyway, when there are no clear regulations (or shall we say parameters) there is a big chance that things would be just mixing up irregularly. In other words, people can be abusive when they know they can get away with it.

This is a clear situation when a little control has to be establish for the sake of avoiding anybody taking advantage of potential victims. We should be desiring a self-regulation system in order to protect buyers from sellers who are scam-minded otherwise we will have a big problem and reputations can be damaged.

Right but the scam in crpyto currency is coming often from the controllers not the end users, perfect case is this bugged out scam site waves which has some very serious issues.  Look at this category only. hundreds of coins and ICO's and million dollar funraising for sites and business plans that have no chance of even turning a profit.
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Big scam at Waves Decentralized Exchange platform on: August 10, 2017, 07:54:31 PM

So even if want to buy ethereum I have to spend at least $250. God forbid I want to buy a bitcoin, then I need $3000, this makes any deposit just a victim to your fees and the insecurity of the platform, a big waste of time and a nice fee over to shit site.

ummm you need Bitcoin to send Bitcoin, that's called a fee, and you need ETH to send ETH, it's called gas. All operations on this blockchain require a fee, just like any other...do you even know what a blockchain is?

Did you read the post you idiot.  You are talking about something totally different. Obviously there is a fee but unlike other site that take the fee out the trade, this site doesn't, and not only that it doesn't allow you to buy it either because you need the same currency you are trying to buy to actually buy it.

For the idiot like yourself,  that's like trying to buy USD when you land in a new country but you need USD to make the purchase.

For a trading site that is a very serious "oops"

The point I was making is this is how they scam people because it costs .001 BTC to withdraw your funds after you figure this out.  So a miner who wants to trade off $25 can't and by the time he withdraws it he pays a $3-$4 plus more mining fees.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Stox - Prediction market platform | Token sale has ended on: August 10, 2017, 07:46:24 PM
Auger is and was nothing but a scam, still hasn't produced squat besides token sales and trading and wealth for the founders

Gnosis is no different.

Pretty sure this project is nothing but more hype and a token sales for a market that has very little interest.

If some people showed up for the first few I would have a different opinion but looking at augur and gnosis leaves me wondering why they haven't closed yet.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snip, Decentralized Platform to Fight Fake News. Token Sale Soon! on: August 09, 2017, 02:34:44 PM

The problem with CNN and many other outlets is that their incentives are broken. As Naval Ravikant said quite insightfully: The Internet commoditized the distribution of facts. The "news" media responded by pivoting wholesale into opinions and entertainment.

We're going to be focused on providing the facts in the most clear and convenient way. It's difficult to do that without censoring people but we believe it's possible. For instance, if you trust Fox News as a news source then it's very unlikely that Snip will seem like CNN for you. Other people who trust CNN will see a very different news site than yours.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to see the quality of the content when the platform is open for all writers. You can check out the current version at https://snip.today.

Fake new right there.

CNN was making fake news long before the internet so your theory doesn't quite fit.

Your description sounds like fake news CNN.

Ultimately people are deciding the validity of news by pressing a button and I think that's not very accurate.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snip, Decentralized Platform to Fight Fake News. Token Sale Soon! on: August 09, 2017, 01:02:03 AM

I hope I answered the question.
Ran

This is the worst way I can think of to fight fake news. You should rebrand before you launch and just call it steem news flaggers.

People at home on their computers with or without coin are not capable to determine what is real or fake or accurate or not. Its an idea that can't posses any accuracy. Actually looking at the comments of some people here they can't even determine the day or the week. Why would you give someone voting power over what they have no clue about.

If you want to fight fake news, join a trusted platform with a proven track record.

The title is misleading, fight fake news, how are you going to fight fake new with this.

If I go to your fake news blockchain snip and tell you that Sandy Hook was a hoax how are you going to determine if what I'm saying is fake or real or good or bad.  Don't tell me that a coin holder is going to decide for because we already know that is not interesting and not accurate or even credible to the slightest degree.
20  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Big scam at Waves Decentralized Exchange platform on: August 08, 2017, 03:01:14 PM
The entire waves platform is a snake hiding in the grass.  As I said I in my other post, not an outright scam but has the same genetic make up. Instead of flat out scamming these sites use creative bugs and hidden features and purposely left out docs that in the end have the same effect as a scam.

Just look at the damage control and promotion posts from people with 4 posts..  All these new russian ID's and a few posts later they have elaborate white papers and reasons why you should trade here. Its a all fucking scam like the DAO. Another non working app that was poorly thought out and quickly implemented and they are saying the same things as the DAO scammers. That this is just experimental and you should read how to use it and the risks.

Another signs of a scam is to follow the listings there. Like mny and co eval.  Both of these are being promoted by the same type of people and both have suffered tremendous losses under this platform.

Waves is a scam, the assets under it are a scam and the people you see with follow ups and promotions are all part of it.

It seems the entire life cycle of these forums is to indentify scams, watch the complains and comments of losts funds that range anywhere from a few $$ to a hundreds of millions and the defend yourself from the
russian terrorists and other scum promoters.
