221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Betting. Why the Distinction? on: April 11, 2024, 01:55:41 PM
Often, the "betting" versus "gambling" distinction seems unnecessary. Sports betting seems more methodical, like predicting the winner with data. Casino gaming is luck-based. iIts about risk and reward. Chance always exists.

Presentation makes the difference. "Casino gambling" may seem unsavory. "Sports betting" sounds better - strategic, knowledgeable, almost like investing. However, betting on red or your favorite team is still a gamble.

Stop worrying about language. Both are about excitement, tremendous wins, and losses. "Betting" and "gambling" are important, but smartness and recognizing your limitations are crucial. Being responsible at the casino or watching the game is crucial. Its fun to take risks, right?
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 11, 2024, 01:28:13 PM
Feel the same. Yuan's story truly underscores the importance of addressing gambling addiction and fostering a culture of responsible gaming. This incident motivates us to advocate for better resources and support systems for those facing gambling challenges, emphasizing the positive impact of preventive measures and education. It's an opportunity to rally together, promoting awareness and help for those in need, reinforcing the message that gambling should be enjoyable and safe, without compromising the well being of individuals or their families.
as even if I think we must do what we can to help others that are suffering from a gambling addiction, it is also undeniable they are 100% responsible for their situation, as they disregarded their own safety just to gamble a little bit more.

Gambling addicts are getting lesser support because of the difficulty in identifying the early signs of addiction in a player not close to us. Help is only rendered when needed or virtually proven signs is made available. When an addict doesn't show or open up his problems to people around him it's quite hard to figure out his addictive behaviors. Since it's mostly done online, his funds are not being tracked by his acquittances. In society today, many gamblers don't recognize the early gambling symptoms in them, making the identification process very difficult, or the need to help an addict. That's why gamblers must focus on not finding themselves in a condition as difficult as problem gambling.

The healing process is quite very hard to find out by an outside body, unless told, in most cases, especially at the early stages. That's why most helping hands may have not been recorded on behalf of gamblers. Even in environments where gambling addiction strives, it's strenuous getting an addict to therapy. Many addicts when in therapy make the task burdensome for the therapist, due to the difficulty in curing gambling addiction. Unsteady attendance to therapy sessions delays quick recovery. And many addicts find it hard to comply with their therapist, by making it to their therapy sessions.
Gambling addiction's a serious issue. Some folks get caught up in it, and we need to help 'em out. The best way to do that is by spotting the warning signs early. Its about noticing changes - more money going out, changes in mood, that kind of thing. Its about being smart, preventive.

Now, the support system we have right now? Frankly, its not good enough. Its inadequate, needs a serious upgrade. Folks need practical strategies, not just empty promises. Therapy's part of it, but we need to make it accessible, make it work for the people who need it most.

We need a revolution in how we think about gambling. We need to make it safe, responsible, with safeguards to help folks who slip up. Its possible, believe me. Its not just about the money, its about protecting people, giving them a fair chance to beat this. We can make gambling great again, the right way.

~snip~

For Arsenal, they're not that club he should go, never had he been passionate about moving to Arsenal, it has always been Manchester United or Chelsea, go check his interviews how he expressed that .
Yes, he used to say that and in the media there have also been many writings. But remember he has a release contract worth around £94m. But I don't know if he will change. Because I feel sure a lot of rich clubs like PSG are ready to make him forget what he's talking about. The conditions of Man United, PSG and Chelsea may be ideal because at the moment Man United and Chelsea do not have an ideal attacker, while Mbaape at PSG will leave. Osimhen could be PSG's solution. But let's see the end of the season.
It's a very expensive contract and I think Mbaape is too arrogant because when he gets a fairly large contract like that, he has to think that the team has very high confidence in Mbaape's jersey number. PSG may already have a list of players they are targeting and buying for next season when the transfer market reopens.
Mbappe has already been offered options. If he has decided to leave the team, we must say that the possibility of him returning is very low. Mbappe will not stay in the team, but if a surprise happens and he stays in the team, then he will act as if he has an advantage over other players. This creates a risky situation for the team.
Mbappe clearly sees the end with PSG. Who could blame him? In big games, they always fumble. He's a world-class talent, but staying will heighten his ego. The team could be lopsided. Maybe leaving is better in the long run.

Mbappe must prioritize his career. He has to pick a club that consistently challenges for significant trophies, not one that collapses under pressure. PSG may seem comfortable, but he may need to take a risk to reach his full potential.
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 11, 2024, 12:46:59 PM
Playing a draw at home is not always considered bad if Arsenal can provide a better game in the second leg (away match). Of course, Bayern Munich will likely be the favorite at home, but Arsenal is a good team who will most likely also win the second leg.

Manchester City and Arsenal both ended the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals with a draw. They have good form to hope for a ticket to the semifinals, but Real Madrid and Bayern Munich also have the same chance in the second leg. This match will be very interesting of course, that's because all four teams still have a chance.
From this match it was clear that Arsenal dominated the game and they also managed to score the first score. Actually, if we look at Arsenal's performance then victory is in sight. Luckily, Bayern Munich got a penalty kick so they managed to make the result end in a draw. If Bayern Munich didn't managed to take advantage of this opportunity, Arsenal emerged as the winners. I am sure that in the second leg Arsenal will use their full strength to snatch victory from Bayern Munich.
Ugh, a draw against Bayern always feels a bit like a loss. Arsenal definitely had the upper hand for most of the match, and it's frustrating that a single penalty swung the momentum. I get that penalties can happen, but it sure felt like a gift for Bayern.

Still, Im not too worried about the second leg. Arsenal can definitely get the win on Bayern's turf if they bring the same attacking energy. At least we're not going in a goal down - there's still a solid chance to head to the next round.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 11, 2024, 12:28:30 PM
Bayern Munich is being unstable and that's something I was not expecting to see at all from this team. Throughout all these years, Bayern Munich was known for the good performance they had and the stable team they had compared to the other teams but if you take a look you can understand Bayern Munich changed tactics and changed their coach many times recently which is not good for any team.
They got bad results recently in Bundesliga and that's enough to say predicting the Bayern Munich games won't be easy at all with the current situation they have right now.
This will be a bad season for Bayern Munich as they dominated the Bundesliga for so long before Leverkusen became one of the clubs that presented their strongest opposition this season. Maybe the change in coach makes Bayern Munich's style of play easier to learn, especially for the club that is able to beat them. After getting several bad results, Bayern Munich has dropped out of the competition for the Bundesliga title because Leverkusen's number of points is impossible for them to catch again.

In the Champions League they also drew with Arsenal, even though it was an away game. If you look at the quality of Bayern Munich's game, it is quite different from their performance in the previous season when they faced Arsenal. Tuchel is under great pressure now because he is making Bayern Munich worse and the achievements he is delivering are much worse than the previous coach.
I always thought Bayern Munich were the Bundesliga's best. They're always dominant and consistent. But these continual changes, coaching carousels, and inconsistent results? It's not our Bayern. It's uncomfortable for everyone. They seem to be losing their individuality and winning recipe. Leverkusen's rise? This twists the knife. It seems those great days are fading.

Champions League isn't helping. On paper, Arsenal's draw wasn't bad. But Bayern? Not what we expected. The stakes are bigger and every move analyzed under Tuchel. This could be their toughest season yet, and the pressure is on. A painful truth for supporters. But bad circumstances can motivate the most. Bayern might prove they're still a powerhouse with this chance.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 11, 2024, 12:05:00 PM
Chelsea are aiming for osimhen according to the Anglo-Saxon press.

The player will certainly leave Napoli and Italy this summer, declared several times by the Napoli's president.

The price will not be less than 100 million, and according to the president's words the player should already have an agreement with an English team.
These reports about Osimhen are getting my attention. Guy seems unhappy at Napoli, and it's easy to see why after a rough season. It's time to start over. I think he'll do great in the Premier League. That much strength and that fast pace... it's his kind of game. Also, getting the Premier League title? Huge reasons to brag. Even though PSG might be a candidate, I have a feeling that England is calling his name. It will be interesting to see if any more Premier League teams join. This could cost a lot!
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 11, 2024, 11:47:05 AM
PSG lost 3-2 to Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final first leg match between Barcelona vs PSG. Raphinha's two early goals for Barcelona essentially put Barcelona well ahead of PSG. Mbappe failed to score for PSG, basically PSG fell far behind in that place. Expectations were high for PSG this season in the Champions League but they fell short in the first leg against Barcelona. PSG's first leg loss to Barcelona means that the next match is easy for Barcelona but relatively difficult for PSG. Even if Barcelona can't score in the next match, PSG must win by at least 2-0. Since Barcelona won the first leg, Barcelona must play for the win in the second leg. The first leg matches are very important for every team since the Champions League quarter finals and Barcelona easily cleared the first leg hurdle.

I don't think PSG will advance far in the Champions League this season. What does yesterday's performance mean? They played a very bad match. Imagine that Barcelona, who hasn't played well this season, comes to PSG's pitch and wins 3-2. It's very embarrassing for a team to lose at home, and in the Champions League, you have to play well and win to advance to the second leg. PSG's first leg match gives Barcelona a chance to advance to the next round of the Champions League semifinal. The second leg of the match will take place in Barcelona Field, and I don't think PSG will beat Barcelona there, which is why I think Barcelona will qualify.

Why is this season's Champions League different, I'm starting to wonder? The reason for this is that in the Real Madrid vs. Manchester City match, the best players for Real Madrid, Vinicius and Bellingham, are unable to play as well as they used to be able to. De Bruyne of Manchester City also did not play because of how he felt before the game, and yesterday, mbape, who is making PSG proud, did not even attempt to score a goal. He failed to have even one shot on goal, which is unfortunate because PSG desperately needs Mbappe right now. If he doesn't show up by playing well, that will be it for them in the Champions League this year.
Folks, I understand, because Barcelona generally wins this match. Dont get ahead of ourselves. Underdogs can do amazing things in football. Remember 2017? PSG turned that game around, which makes this sport exciting. Yesterday, Mbappé wasnt his typical self, but one bad game doesnt create a bad player. Top performers have those days.

This Champions League season is crazy. Top players like De Bruyne and Vinicius are failing, proving nobody wins. I trust PSG because of that. They had moments of greatness, but it wasnt their best. If they can build on that and focus, they could upset us in Barcelona in the second leg. Football is unexpected, therefore you can only forecast that!
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 11, 2024, 11:23:43 AM
Liverpool will be playing against Atalanta in tonight's encounter but we shouldn't have much faith with these guys  (Liverpool) because we see them scoring much goals before getting to the quarter finals, playing like they're in the final or something but let's not forget that Liverpool are playing with caution, Klopp won't want anything to affect any of his best players since they played a draw against UTD and they're second on the log in the EPL.
Klopp would try to get his boys to start leading the game from the first half but I see the visitors giving Liverpool a bit of a headache and if some how the away team somehow gets a win in this first leg like 0-1 then there would be much pressure on Liverpool, well it won't be too easy for that to happen and I feel the return leg won't be easy for Klopp and his boys (that's if Liverpool lose 0-1) but I'd say a draw is likely to happen in this encounter.
Im betting on Liverpool tonight. I dont see Atalanta stopping this Europa League goal-scoring machine. The offense is too strong, and Klopp is a master at taking advantage. They've struggled in the Premier League, but Europa League? Their best chance at a trophy, they'll fight for it. Leverkusen is still in the running, but Liverpool's depth and talent put them in a different league.

Atalanta's away form is scary. One win in five? That doesnt inspire confidence at Anfield. Liverpool should attack from the start. Liverpool's got this, despite the draw's appeal. This game is about Klopp and his players proving they wont finish the season without a win.
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 11, 2024, 10:39:20 AM
Real Madrid is leading with 8 points now. In theory, Barcelona and Girona still have the chance to overtake Real Madrid position. There are 8 remaining matches, Real Madrid still have some big matches (vs Barcelona, vs Real Sociedad, vs Real Betis). It is not impossible if Real Madrid can miss points in these matches. However, it is not a very big chance because Real Madrid performance looks quite stable/consistent.
Real Madrid will of course not allow other teams to catch up with the points that Real Madrid has. Real Madrid will continue to fight very hard to win in every match. The toughest opponent that Real Madrid faces will probably only be Barcelona. The rest is me sure Real Madrid can beat him easily.
Real Madrid will certainly not allow any other team to take their place in their current La Liga points position. Although they drew with Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League, they are still in doubt whether they will win the second leg. So I think Real Madrid will work harder in La Liga and not let any other team reach their points but will attack more strongly in their next matches against the opposition. However, the increase could have risen to compete with Real Madrid, so maybe Barca will try hard to catch Real Madrid this season. But I believe that Real Madrid will not give up so easily, rather they will be La Liga champions and this season they are the strongest in the top position by many points. And it seems impossible for any other team to win the La Liga trophy from Real Madrid this season and they will be the champions of this season.
City's draw was tough. Ancelotti can be too cautious against top-tier clubs, especially away from home. However, they dominate La Liga. Currently, they're Spain's best team.  Madrid is dominating the league because Barcelona is concentrating on the Champions League.

Legendary Ancelotti. He's Champions League royalty and knows his stuff. The fact that they're steady without La Liga competition says a lot. Girona no longer pushes them into battle. Experience and team management are Madrid's strengths.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: April 08, 2024, 02:10:25 PM
gambling and kids dont mix unless they're already grounded. They need to go to school, be disciplined, and know a lot about money. Its not about age, but about being mature. Me giving up gambling? That would be like giving up making great deals, which is not going to happen. It has given me an edge by teaching me how to handle risk, enjoy big wins, and even deal with tough losses. Its important to be smart in life, right?

What are you missing out on if you never gamble? Its true. Its the thrill and the wins. Helps you get back on your feet, think about the chances, and be humble sometimes. Balance is the word. Fun, family, and a small amount of danger can all go together. If you play smart and stay safe, your wins will taste even better.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: April 08, 2024, 01:42:54 PM
I’m always a victim of this mistake before when I’m still allure on online casino. I keep playing every night after work. I always play until midnight which makes me consume most of my rest time for my job preparation tomorrow.

The result is I don’t have much energy at work due to insufficient sleep and I lose funds on gambling because I keep playing quick due to my limited time. The effect is very disadvantageous to me since I both lose in these situations. This is the reason why I change my gambling pattern significantly that limit me to play only during weekends when I don’t have job tomorrow.

This is an advice based on my experience, don’t ever insert gambling on your schedule if you really don’t have free time for it because it will always result to disaster in both gambling and your life.
What you're basically saying is that stop gambling when you're addicted.

It's not about having the lack of time that causes you to lose so much on these gambling sessions, it's the fact that you're making gambling a way bigger part of your life than what it should be. The fact that you're consistently allocating time and budget for it (and quite poorly I must say since you're losing funds which I would presume is supposed to go for your daily expenses) to the point that you're losing both sleep and money because of it is a telltale sign that you're already addicted to it, you're just one bad game away from really digging a deeper grave.

So in that regard, and this goes for everyone out there who's looking to gamble, make it a point to not make gambling any bigger than an alternative hobby you could take when the others just couldn't cut it for you, don't spend so much time and money on a rendezvous that is literally created to profit off of other people's misery and misfortune. Be more intelligent and be sensible, gambling is gambling, it's not a way of life.
it should never control you. I've witnessed how chasing that high can derail lives.

The key is control. Gambling's built for the house to win long-term. Thats just the way it is. You put your rent money on a bet, hoping to get rich? Thats a losing strategy, and frankly, not very smart.

Being smart means setting limits. Have some fun, sure, but within reason. Keep it as a hobby, one you can afford. Think about it -  if gambling's running your life, dictating your decisions, then you're not in charge anymore. And thats the worst deal you could make.

Remember, the thrill's great, but it shouldnt come at the cost of your well-being, your family, your future. I know a lot, I've seen people fall hard because of this. Take it from someone who values winning the right way - gamble responsibly, or the only person you'll be hurting is yourself.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 08, 2024, 01:13:00 PM
Well after the yesterday results in Bundesliga we can have a game changer in someways, because now Leverkusen is practically secured the title so they can rest players in their Bundesliga games if this is necesary.

Anyways i still think Leverkusen is not gonna win this competition.
Everyone's raving about Leverkusen's amazing Bundesliga run. But Europa League? That is entirely different. Its a great accomplishment for any team, but comparing domestic form to the Europa League is foolish.

The bookies now favour them and Liverpool, which makes sense. The Europa League is where underdogs shine and surprises happen, as we know. Liverpool has a history of success in European competitions.

Although Leverkusen is strong, football is about more than winning streaks. We've seen clubs win their leagues but lose in Europe. Different mindset and intensity. I like underdogs, so Im not betting on Leverkusen yet.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 08, 2024, 12:42:20 PM
Heidenheim was able to score their third goal on the 79th minutes by T. Kleindienst to give them victory over Bayern Munich, as they failed to equalize the goal and share points. The point gap between Munich and Leverkusen is increasing, as it has increased to 16 points, making it impossible for Bayern Munich to close the points gap.

I don't know what is happening to Bayern Munich currently, as they have become inconsistent, and losing to smaller clubs. It might be a big problem for them when they clash with Arsenal in the Champions League. If Bayern Munich is not careful VfB Stuttgart might overtake them.
Bayern Munich seems to have lost their best playing form and they even seem to be very weak in the defensive area. Bayern Munich's defeat in that match made them even further behind Leverkusen, so it is certain that this season's title race is increasingly closed for them. This will be a bad season for Bayern Munich because despite having great players they fail to dominate.

I think the coach's ability is the problem because previously Bayern Munich did not play as badly as this season. The coach is much more responsible because he is the one who determines the strategy in playing so that good and bad results will be determined by the coach's strategy, although the players are also responsible for some of the bad results they get.
Bayern's struggles this season… they're tough to watch. Disappointing, for a team of their caliber. You're right, defense has been an issue, thats cost them the title race. Huge problem. Though, its never just one thing. Coach has his part, sure. Players, everyone on that field - they gotta own this. It's a team game.

Now, Bayern are winners. This aint over. Leverkusen's close, congrats if they take it, they've earned it. For Bayern though, this is…a reset. Not about THIS season, its how they use this. They gotta channel that, turn the page, rebuild. Its the sport, ups and downs. But Bayern's history, the talent they have...trust me, they'll be back. Better, stronger. Count on it.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 08, 2024, 12:13:11 PM
PSG are currently drawing at home, it's 1-1 but it's not a problem for them because there is no team in the league that can rival them.
I think they are already champions, that's the worst thing about the French league, there is only 1 team and every year it's the same, every once in a while a surprise team comes out and becomes champion.
There are 6 weeks until the end of the league. In my opinion, there is no rival to Paris Saint Germain in the French league. They are at a very high level in the league in terms of staff and economic power. They also managed to direct this economic power in line with their own interests. We can say that the championship for League 1 belongs to Paris Saint Germain.

The Paris Saint-Germain in this season are the best so far and they are currently leading with 10 points ahead of the next club who is the second position in the League 1 table standing and that has shown the level of prowess that PSG has shown at the league stage.

That can also be replicated in their Champions League which they have as their next fixture. I feel like Mbappe wants to do it again for the club before he finally leaves since talks have garnered around the space discussing his possibility of leaving the PSG any moment from now. It's a good outing for PSG this year and they have continuously shown their capacity to be one of the elite clubs in the German League.
Ligue 1 teams have great players and a lot of energy, but they're not as good. Of course, its hard to find a real opponent in France, which must be tough for PSG. I know how you feel. Still, Mbappe is leaving? There might be a change. We'll see if they can keep going strong.

Barcelona, thats a game for the best teams, and PSG wants to be the best. Having them over? What a great chance. People remember these games, which are where tales are made. PSG can say they are the best team in France, but everyone wants them to win in Europe. Enrique is a smart person and knows this. We wish him the best of luck. Even the biggest wins love this kind of task.

I will not try to convince you off your own decisions or opinions,  in between I'm no Arsenal fan nor Chelsea fan but I'm certain that moving to Chelsea is the best place for him. Don't forget Didier Drogba remains his idol and John Mikel Obi has said he will do all he can to see his Nigerian brother join his former club Chelsea.
~

What can you say about the fact that Chelsea does not participate in the Champions League and in European competitions in general? What is the point of Osimhen moving to such a club and wasting his golden years trying to rise with a middle-ranking club instead of immediately playing in a top club? Arsenal's prospects are now visible to everyone, while Chelsea are in the middle of the standings for the second year in a row and the likelihood that they will suddenly change their status is extremely low.

If Victor Osimhen is more concerned with his football career, then he will most likely reject the offer from Chelsea. If he joins Chelsea perhaps he will get a high fee, but he won't get the experience of playing in higher competition, other than the Premier League itself. Arsenal are clearly more promising because they will definitely be competing in the Champion League next season and Arsenal really need a striker they can rely on. His salary probably won't be as big as he could get from Chelsea but he will have a good opportunity to further his football career.
Chelsea throws huge money around. Tempting for any player. But Osimhen's got to think bigger than a paycheck. Arsenal's in Champions League - that's the top of the food chain. They NEED a guy like him, a real goal-scorer. Champions League aint just about money, its proving yourself against the world's best. Cant put a price tag on that.

Chelsea? They're a mess right now. New coach, new players... that rebuild takes time. Arsenal's already there, ready to go. Why bet on a maybe-someday with Chelsea when Arsenal's a sure thing? Osimhen's smart, he'll see the big picture. Arsenal's his best shot, best play for his career, hands down.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 08, 2024, 11:22:22 AM
Juventus looks like they are sure now of the Champions League place for the next season as it looks like they got the good result after many not so good results. In Serie A though like many European championships is already over from long ago and not much interest remains here to be seen.I hope next season we see some better competition and we see it until the end of the season, not like this year.Juventus and Napoli are not good enough,I believe Roma under De Rossi to be the contender next season.
Everybody talks about the Serie A. I know it, you know it, the whole world knows it lacks some serious competition these days. Juventus getting a Champions League spot? Fantastic for them, believe me, a great club. Lot of ups and downs, though. Great one week, not-so-great the next – a bit inconsistent. Honestly, I wouldnt call it settled yet, even with the points difference. Got to stay focused.

Where's the challenge? Thats what Im asking. Its great to see Juventus and Napoli at the top, but wouldnt a little change be good for everyone? Give me a real neck-and-neck race, you know? De Rossi with Roma - fantastic guy, great player, maybe he can shake things up. A little push, a little fresh blood, and that league could be something amazing again.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: April 08, 2024, 11:01:51 AM

Finally, the two big clubs in Saudi Arabia will meet again in the semi-finals of the Saudi Super Cup, namely Al-Hilal, who are still undefeated, will face Al-Nassr, which also has the football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. I think it will be a match similar to a final. Because I'm sure many are looking forward to the meeting of these two teams again. I will of course support Al-Nassr. But I still doubt whether Al-hilal can be defeated by Al-Nassr this time or whether Al-hilal will defeat Al-Nassr again. I'm still hesitant to see which team will be the winner. It's just that I hope Al-Nassr can win this time.
Al-Hilal has dominated the season. Numbers dont lie. But this game, its a whole different level for Al-Nassr. This is their make-or-break moment. You know what? They have Ronaldo. Say what you want about the guy, he's a winner. He's on fire recently, and Al-Nassr may need his enthusiasm to change things.

Al-Hilal's hard to crack. They play smartly, consistently. Honestly, Al-Nassr hasnt slept. They're relaxing and preparing their stars. For them, this is everything.

So yeah, I respect Al-Hilal's dominance. But gosh, I adore underdog stories. Al-Nassr has talent and hunger, so its time they showed it.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 08, 2024, 10:42:16 AM
I think it is quite possible for Barcelona to still be able to maintain 2nd position because Barcelona and Girona now have a difference in performance so that Barcelona is not so stressed anymore. Moreover, Barcelona's performance is quite good now and this is inversely proportional to Girona so I don't think Girona will able to compete with Barcelona for 2nd position.
In fact, now Girona only needs to maintain the stability of their performance so that they remain in the top 4 of the standings to be able to get a ticket to the Champions League next season. Girona's position is still not safe now, especially as their performance has declined greatly.
There is no guarantee Barcelona to stay in a runner-up position until the end of the season. If Barcelona underestimates Girona, they may lose the runner-up position. Even if Girona performance is decreasing lately, they are still a strong team in La Liga. They experienced some losses because they couldn't play with full team. Now, it seems Girona all players are available for the remaining matches in La Liga. So, I assume there will be an improvement on Girona performance. Barcelona must be careful with Girona, specifically Barcelona may lose points in the upcoming El Clasico.

I think it is not the time to relax for Barcelona. They have some crucial matches in the near future. Although it is not for the title, but a runner-up position is also quite prestigious.

Barcelona certainly hopes to overtake Madrid position at the top of the standings and win the La Liga trophy again this season, but this is certainly quite difficult to achieve because Ancelotti fleet has a fairly wide point advantage over Barcelona. Therefore, the most realistic target is to finish in runnerup ranking, by trying to go undefeated in the remaining matches ahead.

Meanwhile, in important matches such as the EL Clasico, Barcelona also has to fight not to lose, so that their position will be save for Girona pursuit. Nobody should be underestimated, because that could have fatal consequences for their position in the standings, especially if they underestimate Girona. Even though their performance has experienced ups and downs, Girona still has a chance to recover and be consistent.

Girona is a little lucky because they only focus on La Liga matches, unlike Barcelona who have matches scheduled in the Champions League where this can divide their focus. On the other hand, I also believe that Girona will be able to maintain their position in the top four of the standings, so that they will appear in the Champions League next season.
No doubt, Barcelona started poorly. Made us doubt them. But this comeback? Champions have that spirit. No doubt, they're finding their groove. Overtaking Madrid? No knock on Barca, but its a tall order. Madrid is that strong. This El Clasico? HUGE for Barcelona. Not just in the rankings, but to prove they're back and put Girona on edge. I think Barcelona is better than Girona right now, despite Girona's La Liga concentration.

This Girona situation is risky. With Barcelona juggling the Champions League, putting all their eggs in one basket could pay well. Barcelona thrives under duress. Girona is inconsistent. One mistake will put them against Atletico Madrid. Staying focused is important to them. Between us, they have a steep path to qualify for Champions League.

Real vs Manchester City looks like the best game to be chosen for watching tomorrow and judging from the last game of Real Madrid in Champions League I have a lot of doubts in their probability to win at home against City despite the bookies giving them an extraordinary odd of 2.85 that we rarely see for them when playing at Bernabeu.I am more prone to choose the win of Manchester City with an odd of 2.45 as they are in a much better form compared to Real Madrid.
I understand why you're interested in Manchester City. Without a question, they're on a roll. But dont write Real Madrid off just yet. Its very helpful to play at home, at the Bernabeu. Its their job to get the crowd excited about big games and make it count. The numbers might show that City is better, but Real Madrid has that killer sense and Champions League grit. Many times, they've won from the worst spots. Who wants it more and plays smarter is more important than who is better right now. The scores dont really reflect how close this game is, and Real always has a surprise or two planned.

Today is a very interesting matchday... Man U did not lose to Liverpool, although they could even win, but they had the same bad luck as in the last match against Chelsea... But Liverpool disappointingly missed out on the top spot in the EPL... And Chelsea could not beat Sheffield, which is in last place in the standings...
Man United's performance was still quite good against Liverpool even though the previous match lost to Chelsea but I was happy with last night's match.
Chelsea is worse, somehow Chelsea is worse playing with the lower teams than playing with the upper teams this team reacts faster but with Shuffield not being able to win it is really bad because this team is at the bottom.
This is why I always hesitate when betting on Chelsea games.
Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Sheffield United keeps amusing me on how possible can that be to have a draw match with a relegation club after showing us a tremendous performance last week with late minutes-winning goals against Manchester United that made many say Chelsea must have picked their performance skills back for them to win Manchester United, not knowing that the big flop is their way this week when they face Sheffield United.

Anyone who's betting on Chelsea to win any of their matches in the remaining matches of the Premier League needs to be reminded that Chelsea can win a relegation club. Sheffield United and Burney are the two relegation clubs, Chelsea is having a draw within the space of two weeks. What a shameful thing

It's a very shameful draw which makes most Chelsea fan felt as if they lost the game, because if they cannot win a team like Sheffield united that are in the relegation zone, who are they going to win? That is how they struggled against Burnley even when they are a man down, this shows how horrible this Chelsea team is.

And as for the manager, I really don't think he actually knows what he was doing because yesterday when they where leading 2-1, he removed people he ort  not to , and the changes that cost them the game is for him to remove cucurella and brought on badachile who is in a very bad for of recent, and he was the one that cause the equalizing goal of Sheffield united, because he missed a heading clearance, which eventually led to the equalizer.
It's unacceptable. Chelsea is one of the great clubs in the world. We should be dominating teams like this, not squeaking out draws. It's a big problem, a very big problem, and it needs fixing.

Teams indeed go through rough patches. But this isn't some small club - we're talking Chelsea standards here, and we're falling short. Some of these management calls lately? They're bad. Like, really bad. Swapping out Cucurella for Badachile when he wasn't having a good game? Confuse me. These are the moves that cost us points, plain and simple. And that missed header for their equalizer? That's basic stuff. Unacceptable.

Now, this "young team building" line is wearing thin, real thin. And talent isn't enough. Other young teams are killing it out there. It's about hunger, strategy, that winning mentality. It's something we seem to be missing.  We have one of the best squads in the league, but it's not translating on the pitch. We should be crushing these games, not making excuses. This needs to change, and fast.
