1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 14, 2024, 02:21:40 PM
Ligue 1 is still always dominated by PSG and I think if there is another team that is in good condition and is able to beat PSG then that could be very interesting.
Aren't we all waiting for something new to happen for Ligue 1?
Last season Lens should have been able to break PSG's dominance, but unfortunately they failed due to a difference of one point and allowed PSG to win Ligue 1 again, but this season it seems that Lens is not doing better than last season, while this season other club competitors such as Nice also experienced defeats. twice in their five matches, bringing the gap to PSG to five points for now, it seems true that we don't see any other club playing better this season.

No one is really PSG's toughest challenger this season, it seems that PSG will go smoothly to win the title again this season, so they are not worried about the domestic league so they currently seem to be more focused on other championships such as the UCL, at least they can show their best game to advance to the UCL final even though it looks quite complicated, I believe PSG will win the Ligue 1 title again this season.  Grin
Lens actually gave Paris Saint Germaine a good run for their money last season and were very close to winning the French league ahead of PSG but narrowly lost the battle to the eventual champions by just one point. This season, they've been a total shadow of the Lens team we saw last campaign and I don't even think they're gonna get into the top four of the French league at the end of the season.
Paris Saint Germaine are currently in a very impressive run and against Lens, I still expect them to win the game and grab all three points. The knockout stages of the UEFA champions league competition will kick off next month and Paris Saint Germaine are keen on further extending their lead at the top of the league table so that league games wouldn't be too important to them when the UEFA champions league competition returns in February.
Lens seems to be struggling to replicate last season's magic. Despite their strong home form, their season started poorly, and they're not the same team. Against PSG, especially in their current form, is scary for any club. PSG hasnt lost in 13 games and has more depth than Lens. Lens's win over PSG last time was stunning, but repeating it this time seems unlikely. Lens might even consider a draw under the circumstances.

However, Luiz Enrique's PSG seems unstoppable. Not only do they want to win, they want to go further ahead. PSG's chance to dominate is better than ever as Nice and Monaco lose points. As a fan, I want Lens to interrupt PSG's rhythm, but PSG is likely to win all three points.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: January 14, 2024, 01:58:57 PM
Ronaldo's performances at Al Nassr are impressive and puzzling. Thats incredible for a 38-year-old to score 20 goals and assist 9 in 18 games. Its more than his Saudi league experience, I think. Ronaldo's top league stints show he adapts quickly. Although significant, his age feels like a number to him.

His competition level worries me, though. Is his skill or the league's quality helping him score? He's indeed a fantastic player, but context matters. Experience, team support, and league competition may explain his goal-scoring streak. I admire Ronaldo, but I think its necessary to have a balanced assessment of his career so far.
Since his professional career, Cristiano Ronaldo have played on five league from Portugal, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A then Saudi Pro League he has adapt well with all clubs plays and success winning domestic league with three clubs. Most important key from Cristiano Ronaldo is he can adapt well with culture, weather and atmosphere with all club have been joined since his professional career and consistency scoring many goals for every clubs joining.
Left one challenge with Cristiano Ronaldo will win domestic league tittle with Al Nassr for this season? its become second year for him but first season start well although he failed make Al Nassr winning domestic league tittle.
The Saudi Pro League is a new chapter in Cristiano Ronaldo's career, but it raises worries about his competition. Although amazing, scoring goals in the Saudi league is different from those top European leagues. Europe's teams and players are better, and Ronaldo's success there made him a global football sensation. He is extraordinary for his age in fitness and performance. This indicates that, although being older than in Europe, he still has the skills and drive to succeed. He boosts the Saudi league's football scene and shows his continued popularity as a player.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 14, 2024, 01:40:40 PM
The super cup match between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be very tensed today because this two clubs are rivals and they don't always agree for each other and moreover the two best clubs in Spanish la Liga so definitely we gonna expect some drama from both clubs in this super cup and however, considering the fact that Real Madrid won Barcelona in their league match last year October by a score of 1:2 at the home ground of Barcelona Camp Nou so Barcelona will be looking forward for a retaliation in this super cup.

Since the meeting of Real Madrid and Barcelona, Real Madrid have won Barcelona a record of 104 times while Barcelona have also won Madrid a total of 100 times, this statistics shows that Real Madrid is still conquering Barcelona and Barcelona will definitely be looking forward to close the winning margin. Let's see how the match turns out later on today.
Real Madrid vs. Barcelona might be a fantastic super cup encounter tonight. The dynamics excite me. With their tiny historical advantage, Real Madrid looks to have established a winning recipe without a star striker. They've shown that football is a team sport with a strong midfield.

In contrast, Barcelona, motivated by their previous loss and the need to cut the win gap, will come out strong. Lewandowski and Joao Felix can test Madrid's defense. Besides the trophy, this contest is about pride and competition.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: January 14, 2024, 01:21:30 PM
I work largely for myself and I can even afford to play during working hours. But you need to understand that working time is valuable enough to waste on trifles. For me to want to gamble at work, I either have to be inspired or I have to have stress that I would want to deal with through gambling. This is possible, but I rarely do it. I practically don’t play for money at all; I prefer free games. They are no less interesting. And the money you bet in the game often only interferes with your enjoyment of the game. After all, you no longer think about the game, but about winning.

I think it's better to have a clear cut between gambling time and working time. Especially when you are your own boss or work from home without any supervision I don't trust myself with gambling during working hours. In the office the risk is just too high that a colleague would see it and alarms my boss, ending in me getting a serious talk and getting more supervised in the future. I would also not make a difference between gambling for money or with playmoney, it both requires time and will take concentration away from our job. In the end everybody has to decide for themselves if he wants to gamble at work or not, and it also depends on how demanding your job it. For me the risks of negative consequences are too high and I prefer to play it safe.
Imagine gambling at work as a creative break. Turning a vice into a mental instrument is the goal. Imagine a quick, powerful, and energizing mental espresso shot.

The catch: discipline. Like a tightrope, one mistake can lead to unproductivity. The "how" and "when" are key. Time constraints must be strictly enforced. Be the game's master, not its servant.

Finally, context matters. Without colleagues, the temptation is higher and the duty completely ours in a home office. Being your own watchful supervisor requires self-control. I encourage the occasional wager to spice up the working, but walk carefully, play strategically, and work hard.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 14, 2024, 01:04:05 PM
AC Monza 1 vs 5 Inter Milan

AC Monza is easily opponent team for Inter Milan although as away match not face much problem for winning over 1-5 last night, its good result for this matchday week for Inter Milan because have separated points left from Juventus on second position awhile will face Sassuola on tomorrow night. Lutaro Martinez keep confidence to be Serie A top scorer in this season, two goals achieving last night against AC Monza make him lead top scorer awhile with 18 goals and left 9 goals behind Sassuola striker Domenico Berarrdi.

Beside Lutaro Martinez made brave last night another players with impressive performance is Hakan Çalhanoğlu success scored two goals and Marcus Thuram make one goal to complete Inter winning over 1-5.
Fantastic win for Inter Milan. Finally, Inter returned to show their best performance along with a complete composition of players. In my opinion, Inter's current problem is the gap in substitute players, especially on the front line, the quality of Alexis and Arna is far below that of Lautaro or Thuram. The suggestion is that while it is still the January transfer window, Inter should buy one player to back up in the front position, but it would be even better if they also bought a midfielder at DMF as a backup for Hakan, Aslani is still not stable so there are competitors.

However, overall last season in Serie A, Napoli and Inter's match was the most enjoyable to watch, this season only Inter had a match that was enjoyable to watch, solid play, not many wasted opportunities. Inter is the most fertile team, conceded the fewest, scored the most goals, assisted the most, lost the fewest. Maybe this is a sign that Inter Milan will become Serie A champions this season.
I agree that Inter Milan's recent games have been amazing! Their onslaught on Monza was impressive. With the most victories and goals in Serie A, they're the strongest team. And Lautaro Martinez? Great player! His scoring record is crazy.

I think their bench, especially the forwards, isnt as strong as their starting XI. Alexis and Arna are decent, but Lautaro and Thuram are more dangerous. I agree about midfield. The January window is ideal for acquiring a reliable Hakan backup. Inter is powerful, but a few strategic signings may make them unbeatable. Their championship chances are good.

Your tax planning and APY knowledge are outstanding. My take: Every two weeks, I put 25% of my gains in a high-yield savings account and some in low-risk investments.

In addition, I consult a tax specialist. This maximizes tax benefits and savings. A little expert counsel can maximize returns, in my experience.

I value community. Sharing strategies as we are here is vital. Im continually learning and adapting. I agree with you on regulated sports betting sites. Safe and responsible moneymaking is important. Maintain the conversation and encourage fun, sensible gambling!
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 14, 2024, 12:29:07 PM
Really challenging before Leverkusen was able to break ties with Augsburg. A late grab by Exequiel Palacios clinched a 1-0 victory at the WWK Arena. We know how difficult it is for Bayer Leverkusen to overcome Augsburg, especially at home; I'd say they got fortuitous to take up three points. They are four points clear of the top phase, and this is one of The primary means for them to boost their performance and rekindle their hopes in the Bundesliga title fight. Xabi Alonso has his eyes fixed on the title and is going all in to attain his desired results.
Leverkusen's triumph excites me! Augsburg is tough at home, so this is a big win. I think Leverkusen was lucky, but thats football! They're four points ahead, but Bayern Munich, with a game in hand, is closing in. This is Xabi Alonso's coaching peak. He's kept the team constant, so they have a chance to win the Bundesliga. It wont be easy, especially given Munich's recent title success.

Leverkusen must stay on track in the next matches. Munich will play Werder, which shouldnt be a problem for them, and may cut the deficit. Leverkusen's triumph, notably Palacios' last-minute goal, must have boosted morale. In a tight title race, stunning victories can help a team. Still, pressure is high, and the road is long. Lets see if Alonso's team can stay calm and possibly change Bundesliga history.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 14, 2024, 11:58:43 AM
It seems that Real Madrid are watching Bayern Munich's left-back. He is Alphonso Davies, 23 years old. His contract with Bayern Muchen expires this year, so they don't want to repeat the mistake of Kroos' move. Kroos moved on a free transfer. Munchen does not want Alphonso Davies to move on a free transfer and perhaps this will make Bayern Munich have to let him go this summer.

Source:  https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/39278126/real-madrid-eyeing-bayern-davies-summer-move-sources

Bayern Munich still hopes to reach a new agreement with this 23-year-old player, but the conditions for a new contract still face many deadlocks.
Real needs to strengthen the left-back position in the context that Ferland Mendy is often injured and does not play as expected. Eduardo Camavinga appears to be more suitable as a holding midfielder. That's why they want to find a way to convince Davies to move to the Bernabeu this summer. Davies has a versatile playing style, being able to transform into a left-back and a left-wing striker. He is famous for his speed, technique, and excellent defense while also having the ability to participate in solid attacks. These are essential characteristics that a top team like Real Madrid is always looking for. And Davies can become the final piece of the puzzle to help them complete the future of Real Madrid alongside faces like Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Junior, and Rodrygo.
I dont believe the Davies-to-Real Madrid story yet. It sounds like a perfect transfer for Real, especially with their left-back issues. Davies is vital to Bayern, so they wont let him go easily. Speculation of a 70 million clause makes me skeptical. More like a transfer market ploy than a possibility. From Ancelotti's words, Real doesnt seem urgent for defenders. Adapting players to new roles is part of using what they have. I think we're looking at a lot of supposition without much substance.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 14, 2024, 11:39:33 AM
Everton have somehow lost their excellent form in their defense as they had conceded a total of 8 goals in their last 3 English Premier League matches played. I think it will be very difficult for Everton to keep a clean sheet today when they play against Aston Villa despite having the advantage to play this match at their home stadium. I guess there is a high chance for Everton to continue their losing streak.
Its alarming to observe Everton's recent form. Their defense seems weaker than in previous games. Eight goals in three meetings is a warning flag, especially against Aston Villa, a squad thats improved this season. I dont see Everton maintaining a clean sheet at home. With two goals in four outings, their offensive has disappointed. Everton's situation is terrible, and I think it will become worse.

However, Aston Villa's recent performance is drastically different. A win over Everton might boost their league position to third. Due to Everton's poor defense and Aston Villa's momentum, I think Villa will win. I hope Everton can turn things around soon, but Villa appears too strong today.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: January 13, 2024, 05:31:42 PM
The truth of the matter is that gambling is not that bad because things that people can not get in term of money gambling has given them from a few win. And that is why a lot of people are given it a try always because that is just the cheapest and easiest way for them to make money. So I don't blame anyone if their is another means am show they won't really give gambling a chance like that. And aside entertainment you or anyone else that gamble are still expecting money. So I don't blame them at all. If you want to gamble then the person should gamble you don't know were the persons fortune lies.
Gambling is not as bad as people think IF they can use gambling properly. But when people gamble more and more often, that's when they forget to think of gambling as entertainment but instead see it as a place to make money. This will make them continue gambling. Some people may even decide to gamble for a long time and maybe they will only stop gambling after winning. But some people still don't want to stop gambling even though they have won because they feel they can win again. If you're going to gamble, you should make sure you have learned good self-control because that can prevent you from losing a lot. If not, you will only get deeper into gambling without being able to get out of gambling and more and more of your money will be used up because it has been used for gambling.
Nothing should stop a good gambler from gambling again if they plan their gambling style very well. I do not entertain fear here as to stop because of winning, it is the mindset of the bettor that matters. A good calculation in gambling is also important and this must be cordial with the betting style of the person and with a very good mental state. Once the three can agree and the bettor is not thinking of huge money to gain in every bet, everything is going to be fine. The fact that they believe they can make huge money in gambling is the beginning of their problem and if not cautioned from the beginning, it will aggravate and the end is not always good.

As you said, it is good to view gambling as a means of entertainment and not a means to make money, anything short of this will not end well, it has to be lightly taken in our minds and not the way most people take it. If it is taken that way, who knows, a big win could come from it. But the gist and the most encouraging part is that the bettor wouldn't have put his mind there, so nothing would be pushy due to his betting mindset. And when the good gain is hit, it will just be a surprise and I still implore the bettor to take it easy at this stage of winning so that emotion will not set in and greed will cause all the won money to be lost again. Such should continue with the entertaining spirit and continue to have fun at the same time even as any winning games will continue to show once in a while without the bettor pushing it too hard.
In my perspective, gambling is about enjoying the game, not winning big. Gambling should be seen as fun, not an income stream. Similar to attending a concert or sports event, the purpose is enjoyment, not profit.

You're right on strategy. A well-calculated strategy that matches one's betting style and mental state is essential. Approach it methodically, not impulsively. I usually advocate balance: betting within one's means and setting reasonable expectations. The play, not the outcome, should thrill.

Finally, winning surprises are fun. A surprise win is like finding a treasure - unexpected and more satisfying. Be cautious, especially after a win. Winners can get carried away, but smart gamblers show control. Aim for continuous fun with occasional wins as a bonus.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Long-term profitable strategies on: January 13, 2024, 05:00:28 PM
Let's discuss long-term profitable gambling strategies, as well as the elements of such strategies. It is not even necessary to back it up with winning statistics (although no one will mind). It is enough to write that “I think that this strategy is profitable in such and such a game or in such and such a form of gambling.”
Elements of profitable strategies are also quite interesting for discussion. I know that for long-term profitability, risk management is of course much more important. However, what is equally important is what leads to profit in addition to risk management.
If your profitable strategy is of a proprietary nature, if it is secret and you do not want to write about it, then you can limit yourself to general reasoning. I think that this discussion will be useful for everyone and perhaps it will prompt some of their own promising ideas.
I don't know what you actually mean by profitable strategy sharing in a sense than to engage each game as they are. Follow their principles of betting and use your wisdom/instincts as you bet them and rely on luck as many would say. Of course, one will need to know how to play their preferred game, and it is easy when one is acquainted with it, and over time, such will master the game very well. Besides, the issue I see here is not even about the profitable strategy and I do not think that any betting strategy is so profitable and timeproof all the time, but it might be somewhat reliable, but still, I only hear that in casinos from the people that I would call fake or that were just fortunate momentarily for their good results if they are indeed real. I have never seen proof of that consistency, so we should be careful of what we ask for or think towards gambling. However, a good management in gambling is key, it might help the person to limit the risk exposure and continue to try their luck until they probably win big even as they continue to have their fun.

Talking about risk management, using 10% of your total deposit for a bet is wise to me, and some might even want to limit it to 5% or lower to make the risk even better. With this, you have fun with gambling and when you are lucky, you might still at times make more than 10 times of what you wagered which will replenish your account itself and keep wagering going on like that until you are lucky enough to win more money consistently. However, know your time to begin betting and know your time to quit betting, it is never by force to keep depending on the betting and wasting money in the name of risking less per trade. Before you know it, it would have accumulated big.
I agree with "Know the game, play the game." We agree that mastering a game boosts confidence but doesnt guarantee success.

Like you said, risk management is the foundation of sustainable gambling. I also bet a little amount of my money. Walking a tightrope with a net gives you the exhilaration without the risk of a deadly fall. My mentality of gambling for fun, not profit, matches this strategy.

Strategy is important, but discipline is too. Knowing when to start and stop is an art. Keep control over the experience, not just the money. Gambling requires as much attention to the route as the destination. Wisdom, control, and chance are needed to walk the edge between fun and folly.
1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 13, 2024, 04:38:40 PM
~snip~
Casinos welcome anyone with the means to enter. I think this is a commercial decision that reflects society's view of riches and leisure. Casinos unintentionally promote non-discrimination based on appearance or social status in their pursuit of profit. Is inclusion morally responsible? Should casinos worry about their customers' money or mental health? Business ethics and personal freedom blur in this complex subject

I believe everyone is free to gamble has substantial limitations. As long as adults are legal, gambling is a personal choice. However, what about social and psychological effects? Gambling seduces the weak. Businesses must be considered in promoting responsible conduct. Casinos follow the law, but their ethical regulations on who can bet, especially for people with mental health issues, are complex and poorly explored
Casinos still prioritize their business, they promote casinos to the public without discrimination, especially just because of appearance, the only requirement for gamblers to enter the casino house is that they bring money to bet, then the service will still be prioritized and if they don't bring money, it means that person is not for gambling and other people only then can we conclude that people who come to the casino don't bring money to gamble, so their health is affected, they could be addicted and don't have the money to continue gambling.

Yes, gambling can indeed make mentally weak people more psychologically disturbed if the gambling is unhealthy, I don't think we can blame gambling for causing people to experience mental disorders because it is the gambler's own fault, the casino is only carrying out its duty to promote it to the public with the aim of making a profit and doesn't care about the mental health of its users as long as they can still make a profit.
I understand your subtle perspective. Casinos are companies, not moral guardians. Their main goal? Profit. They're not demonized automatically. Its about understanding their context. Money is their international language, therefore they welcome everyone. Is it acceptable to put all personal responsibility on them?

Moving on to the individual's role. Its essential, right? I value personal responsibility. Someone enters a casino by choice. Choices have exciting and catastrophic effects. However, blaming the casino for gambling addiction is like blaming a bar for alcoholism. The border of personal responsibility shouldnt be blurred.

However, I believe there's an agreement. Casinos could encourage responsible gambling. Not absolving gamblers of their actions, but fostering an environment where fun and responsibility coexist. The key? Balance. Casinos thrive, people enjoy fun, and gambling's bad side is addressed. Its complicated, but empathy and practicality can coexist.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: January 13, 2024, 04:07:06 PM
great coaches have big names also need a good squad of players so they can get the title. while in AS roma, he has never got the Scudeto, aka the Italian league serie A champion. that means that the quality of a good coach with a big name still needs a qualified squad. maybe AS roma is one of the candidates to win the Europa League this season. but the strongest candidate is of course Liverpool.
If this refers to a qualified squad and an experienced coach who has a big name and a very great way of coaching. This actually applies to Liverpool, who are currently in the Europa League, so AS Roma must be able to make themselves better than last season so that they can prevent Liverpool from becoming champions in the Europa League this season. Last season AS Roma lost in the final match in the Europa League, so at least AS Roma can be more successful this season in the Europa League by not repeating what happened to them last season.
With Liverpool and others in the Europa League, I think AS Roma's season will be difficult. Roma's success last season was respectable, but this year is unclear. They overcame Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-finals last time, but Leverkusen appears to be in stronger shape and strength this season. Roma may struggle due to this strength and consistency gap.

Their inconsistency worries me. They could reach the finals, but winning the title appears unlikely. Not only is their Europa League performance inconsistent, but so is their domestic record. They have Mourinho, a successful European coach, but his expertise may not be enough. How far they go this season will depend on their home and European play.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: January 13, 2024, 03:45:00 PM
I don't agree that successful gamblers are addicts. why is that? because I still see some people who are even new to the world of gambling and immediately take the gambling chair. and at that moment he won the gambling. is that person an addict? I don't think so. they just got lucky and then left and never came back again at least not for a long time.

I guess it all depends on what you call a successful gambler.

In my mind a successful gambler is someone that somehow makes a big win over time or at once, and then they simply quit gambling for good with the win.

So, they are not a gambler anymore, therefore not addicted to it.

Now, if they keep playing then they are addicted, because the most likely scenario is that they will lose their winnings over time.
sort of agree. This method is like a skilled artist painting one masterpiece and never touching the brush again - capturing the exact moment.

What if gambling became entertainment like going to the movies or eating out? Success changes in this context. No longer is it about money but about the experience. The thrill, suspense, and strategy - its an emotional rollercoaster, right? This view may entail enjoying a hobby rather than addiction.

However, your point regarding losing winnings is important. Enjoying the game and pursuing losses are a delicate balance. This requires self-awareness and control. Responsible gambling may be thrilling. Knowing when to play, when to stop, and enjoying the ride is key.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: January 13, 2024, 03:23:25 PM
But however I prefer online gambling because it saves time and energy of moving from one gambling shop to another, so perhaps through online gambling all you just need is to be at your comfort zone and set your bet, also with the online gambling nobody can know if you have won a bet or not but in times of offline gambling no matter how many times you make a win people will always be aware, which could otherwise put you on a dangerous position so perhaps whichever way we reason it i think online is better for safety reasons.

Online casino gives you an option to gambling on multiple casino without leaving your home, offline or the traditional casino can't give you that. Offline casino gives you the option of using one casino until you're done gambling. You can only enjoy multiple casino when they're located in the same environment. I like to try my option on different casino and play different games as I'm gambling for entertain myself. Online casino is also safe as you have your privacy.

Online casino have their disadvantage as you don't get help from any other individuals when you're over gambling. In the traditional casino some gamblers might come to your aid to help you if you're getting frustrated and it'll show form your reaction to losing but when you're all by yourself in your house gambling online, you can't get any help and this makes online gambling more addictive than offline gambling.
Traditional casinos cant let you switch between blackjack and slots instantly. Entertainment abounding thrills me as a variety lover. The privacy factor? The cherry on top. Your own Vegas without the crowds.

However, I cant help but consider the downside. Online gaming is liberated yet lonely. Traditional casinos offer camaraderie and a safety net. If you're spiraling, other gamblers or staff may notice and intervene. The digital world lacks that key element. We need to regulate gaming and protect our health.

Whats the compromise? This function may be added to online casinos. Maybe player chat rooms or alert systems for excessive gaming. Its about keeping online gambling fun and free while adding a personal touch.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 13, 2024, 02:39:05 PM
Your gambling alter ego experience is shared by many, including me. Its remarkable how this alter ego may be friend or adversary depending on the situation. As you said, this alter ego promotes business confidence, turning doubts into determined acts. Its valuable there, right?

In gambling, this alter ego becomes something different. I've noticed the cautious-to-overconfident shift too. Like a switch, the risks become minor compared to the rewards. This is the key: gambling is a game of chance and probability, where the joy is in taking risks. When does excitement become a trap?

Your "healthy bettor" transformation is admirable. Its about defining and maintaining boundaries, right? I think the secret is to enjoy gaming while minimizing the risks. The dance is delicate, but you've demonstrated its doable. Lets support fun gambling without sacrificing responsibility.
1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 13, 2024, 02:11:16 PM
This is both an interesting and important way to look at how important it is to have a plan and only bet as much as you can afford to lose when you gamble. Instead of a smart and responsible way to gamble, the thought of "had I known" often makes people raise their bets out of greed. A very important piece of advice for safe gambling is to think about what you can afford to lose instead of what you might win. To promote healthy gambling behavior, it is helpful to remind people to stick to their budgets and keep an open mind about risk.

That's the school of thoughts that we have been preaching in this community, just play what you can afford. But in principle it's really hard to follow that rule as per my experience. Sometimes I wanted to stop already and not gamble the money that I won or simply quit when I exhausted the money, my bankroll for that particular gambling session of mine.

But there are times that I will deposit not one but twice and lose again before I realized that what I'm doing is not correct and it's better to stop and stop the bleeding on my end. So for those who practice this adage, good for you, but I will assume that gamblers are tempted to deposit or have that itch to put more money beyond our budget.
Isnt it like we're all playing this unpredictable game? "Play what you can afford" sounds straightforward, but its hard to do, especially when emotions are high. I've rollercoastered between stopping and depositing "just once more".

Sometimes we forget that gambling is intended to be pleasurable. When you reach your limit, its good to step back. Being self-aware and controlling the game is key.

Its a game, so enjoy it, everyone surfing this wave. Always play within your means, celebrate triumphs, and learn from losses. Responsibility isnt enough - you must keep the game fun. Who knows. They may be the true jackpot we're after.

Luck is something that is difficult to calculate how to get, but luck can come at any time and to anyone.
Big wins in gambling are only achieved by a small number of gambling players, you could even say a small number of small number people. and everyone is fighting over it, and we don't know who will get it

But we're all having hopes that we can win it that's why alot of individuals are gambling everyday and they're only making the casino and sportsbooks owners rich. They don't have to do anything and they're making money from those that are losing their bets. Not every individual that gamble is going to win a big amount of money, some will only be winning smaller amounts and they'll keep doing that until they stop gambling. Those individuals that gamble to make money won't make millions from sport betting.

Instead of to win millions one time and not win any smaller big amounts again, I'll choose to win a good amount of bets steadily as big win comes with alot of problems. If you can't hide the money you won and some evil individual get to know, you'll becoming their target. You can also waste all the millions that you won as you'll think you can win it again. Many individual that have won millions are now broke due to mismanagement of the money.
Many gamble in hopes of a big payoff. Its not just about money. The adventure, enthusiasm, and ups and downs matter. Gambling is my pleasure, not a quick-rich plan.

I prefer solid winning techniques. Like building a house brick by brick instead of in one day. Small wins keep the game fun and manageable. Isnt this method also helpful for staying calm? Be smart, play smart.

Controlling large gains is another matter. My advice is to be discreet and responsible. You're right - winning large might make you a target. But self-control is more important. The difference between pros and beginners is the ability to control winnings and not get carried away. Balance - relishing wins and playing the long game.

-snip

With their experience gambling for a certain time I'm sure the value of the loss or defeat they get is higher than the value of the victory.  that's right, if they lose maybe someone else wins and I once thought that indirectly we give money to others. but this is certain or uncertain, because what I know is that gambling is a game of chance.
more precisely, the longer you persist in gambling, the more money you will lose, as others have said, the house edge always wins in the long run.
from the few words I said, we can see that whatever happens, this is a profitable game if someone is lucky but will only be an entertainment game if they are not lucky and on the one hand we will not possibly be able to beat the house edge while the gambling business is built to make a profit for the casino owner so we have to be aware of this.

I thought about what you were thinking but in fact we dont know whether it is true or not but what is certain is that whether we gamble to give winnings to other people or vice versa, the most important thing is never to give large amounts in gambling, just use small money to try your luck.
The casino's livelihood depends on the house edge. I think gambling goes beyond probabilities.

Think of gambling as entertainment, like buying a movie or concert ticket. Paying for these experiences doesnt yield a profit, right? In gambling, viewing the money spent as fun rather than an investment changes the perspective. The game, suspense, and social contact become more important than winning or losing.

I completely agree about not gambling big! Like spice, a little salt adds flavor but too much ruines it. We should bet for pleasure using budget-friendly money, like couch change. Thus, it remains a game and recreation, not a financial plan or stressor.

It seems Inter Milan keep being underpressure to win each match now. The upcoming match holds significant importance for Inter Milan in maintaining their position at the top of the standings, especially considering the close point difference with Juventus. The need for three points to widen the gap is crucial, and Inter Milan's strong defense adds to their advantage in such situations.

Inter Milan's current standings and defensive strength make them the favorites, but surprise can appear anyhow. It's always essential to carefully consider the odds and potential outcomes before making a bet, as unpredictabilities in football can happen. The match promises to be an exciting one, it will likely have implications on the top of the standings, making it a crucial fixture for both teams.
Regarding two points left behind Juventus I think always under pressure for Inter Milan on current standings position because losses points one match their top position will replace by Juventus. Tomorrow night Inter will away against Monza and must secure three points if want existing on the top position, current last two matches, AC Monza have good performance got draw against Napoli and secure three away points after defeating Frosinone on last match. Inter Milan's defense still quit well and promising performance, the only one Serie A teams with fewest goals conceded until 19 matches Inter conceded 9 goals.

In other match, Juventus will face Sassuolo and likely they are on confidence performance after leading to Copa Italia semifinal not difficult for securing three points and keep pressure Inter Milan on the top position standings if can win against Monza.
Looking at the title race objectively, Inter Milan and Juventus are under great pressure. Inter, in first place, faces Monza away. Inter may not win this match due to Monza's recent form. To win, they must be diligent, especially defensively. Their lowest goal conceded record is amazing, but Monza is a determined opponent.

Juventus has an easier time against Sassuolo. They mustnt relax after their shock loss to Sassuolo. It may go either way, but Juventus's recent form and home advantage favor them. These games are crucial for both teams and could affect the title race.
