1181  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: January 11, 2024, 11:48:38 AM
The effects of gambling addiction, in my opinion, are a common battle that each gambler and their family experiences differently. The gambler, battling pressure and loss, must constantly make decisions. The family struggles emotionally, feeling helpless and overwhelmed by the addiction.

While gambling addiction is dangerous, many gamble for fun. These people keep their passion from becoming addictive. It proves that responsible gambling can be entertaining and exciting.

Finally, treating gambling addiction systemically is necessary. Its about assisting the gambler and their family, respecting their interconnected experiences. Promoting ethical gambling and appreciating its lighter side can also help people view gambling more positively. Happiness comes in many ways, as long as we do it wisely and with respect for others.
1182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My bitcoin journey has started again on: January 11, 2024, 09:51:25 AM
This has been my biggest motivation. I wish to be like you in no distance time, but due to financial instability and other factors beyond my major control, it has always seem impossible to start now. Kudos to this great move, I believe you must be so proud of yourself for taking this bold step. I can't wait to join the moving train. Bitcoin is the future.
Your motivation must be accompanied by looking for additional work so that you can spend a little of your money to buy bitcoin with the dca method because this is the best strategy for those of us who have financial constraints, so buying bitcoin you don't need to wait to have a lot of money to be able to invest in bitcoin, start with a little money first. In essence, don't ever think that investing in bitcoin is too late, anytime is the best time to collect bitcoin and buy bitcoin, especially if you already realize the basic virtue of bitcoin, namely that bitcoin is the future. Keep up the spirit, friend
People actually think Bitcoin investment is a must and that's where some people do get it wrong because without proper planning, your supposed investment is just a mirage because you might end up using the funds to meet other needs when you don't have the manpower to meet up with investment and your daily life expenses. Many people no doubt today have all end up scattering their investment because of the lack of plan so before going into investment proper planning needs to be done.
I completely believe that Bitcoin investing preparation is crucial. People think Bitcoin will make them rich without work. Bitcoin is a tremendous instrument when used carefully, in my opinion. Respect, understanding, and a strong plan are needed.

Consider adding Bitcoin to your financial strategy. Its more than buying and wishing. Your investment should match your goals and risk tolerance. Bitcoin should be seen as a supplement to other assets and savings.

Staying educated and flexible is essential. Good investors adapt to the ever-changing Bitcoin ecosystem. Its not enough to believe in Bitcoin's potential - you must actively manage your investment to fit your life. Its tricky, but rewarding when done well.
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Three basic fact you would love to know about bitcoin on: January 11, 2024, 09:24:45 AM
Bitcoin is remarkable. Combining security and supply generation with "mining" to validate transactions and create new coins is amazing. A self-sustaining ecosystem!

Your emphasis on online exchanges and offline hard drives for Bitcoin storage is vital for new users. It shows Bitcoin's accessibility and security, responding to user preferences and risk tolerances.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin's acceptance depends on educating people about its benefits and features. It represents a decentralized financial future, not just a money.
1184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally ETF approved on: January 11, 2024, 09:08:03 AM
ETF approval is excellent news. Bitcoin seems to have been accepted by traditional finance. Be aware that Bitcoin's strength never depended on this permission.

ETFs may attract conservative investors who were previously hesitant. Accessibility and familiarity matter. Imagine Bitcoin entering a new world where it can follow traditional finance norms while yet being revolutionary. Remember, Bitcoin's resilience and value proposition are unaffected by conventional financial instruments.

There's another perspective. Bitcoin's essential values and operation are unaffected by ETF approval. Simply a link between realms. Bitcoin's strength is that it is decentralized and can offer more financial freedom and security than standard financial systems. The ETF is a milestone, but just a tiny one in Bitcoin's quest to transform finance.
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will Spot ETPs effect the economics of Bitcoin and existing Bitcoin markets? on: January 11, 2024, 08:37:47 AM
We're like pioneers attempting to figure out the rules. I support transparency. Building ETFs without Bitcoin backing is like building castles in the air. However, even if these ETFs cant prove their Bitcoin holdings, their existence shows Bitcoin's gaining credibility in mainstream finance.

Asking if Bitcoin's value is affected is like asking if waves affect the ocean. They make a splash, but the ocean's strength is its size. Bitcoin's value comes from its decentralization and community trust, not ETFs. ETFs are little boats surfing the Bitcoin wave.

ETFs are a milestone, but they dont prove Bitcoin's strength. They're one of several ways to spread Bitcoin. Like adding additional taste to a rich dish, its interesting but not necessary. Bitcoin's charm is its independence.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: January 10, 2024, 06:40:32 PM
It is true that the big disadvantage of gambling is losing a lot of time with our family or loved ones. Gambling enthusiasts only think about how to get money from winning gambling matches and return the money they have spent in losing. In fact, it is not uncommon for us to meet gambling enthusiasts who are willing to leave their families just for what they say is to have fun and earn money.
However, when they start to realize that they are very depressed, no one cares about them anymore because their relationship has just been thrown away. they think no one cares about their situation, even though they themselves have thrown it all away.
Loosing family time due to gambling is mostly common amongst addicts as normal and responsible gamblers know how to schedule their time such that they will have enough time to spend with family and still have time to gamble regardless of how much time they spend at the casino a.d that's why they are seen as responsible because they have that discipline that helps them regulate their habit.

Because of the ability to not been able to regulate how much they gamble, the irresponsible and addicted gamblers could then get into depression especially after they must have suffered a huge loss, it's also common for most family members to want to despise addicted gamblers because they may feel his attitude may turn out a problem for them.amd they wouldn't want to be associated with such hence they despise them and even when they become depressed they don't have someone to get to because maybe family is gone.
Of course someone who is addicted definitely doesn't have time to have fun with other people or their family because they are already busy themselves with their gambling even though gambling only makes them more bankrupt, in contrast to people who can control themselves and can allocate their time and gambling. This can be called Responsible gamblers, especially if they already have a family, will of course have more time to work and for the family, gambling is only a small part of their free time.

Addicted people don't understand how to stop their addiction so if they experience more and more losses it will increase their pressure to continue gambling to chase their losses, so it's not surprising that some of their families hate the gambler's behavior, it's not surprising that their family abandons them because addiction itself is very annoying. Especially if they has no intention of stopping and has a temperamental nature that is certain of course his family will leave him alone.
Considering your comment, it fits with my view of gambling's complexity. Indeed, addiction consumes time, resources, and relationships. Decreased returns lead to deeper sadness in loss recovery. Your spiral representation is vibrant and moving.

However, I favor nuance. Gambling doesnt always mean bad. Responsible enjoyment coexists with addiction in this diversified setting. Think of a bunch of friends laughing over a card game, when companionship trumps money. Gambling may be social and pleasurable, adding to life rather than taking away from it.

Lets not blame all gambling for addiction. Acknowledging the problem and the prospect of a healthy gambling relationship are key. Awareness, education, and support are crucial. Creating an environment where fun and responsibility are intertwined in leisurely gambling is key.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mental rehabilitation clinic. on: January 10, 2024, 05:47:25 PM
I agree that gambling success requires a well-designed gaming system with good risk management. The reality is very different for most. The odds are usually against the player in gambling. Probability and arithmetic are involved, not luck or a winning streak. Even the most advanced system cannot outperform a profit-driven one.

How about the "not lucky yet" ? Gambling is chance. Gambling for long-term revenue is like constructing a home on sand - unsustainable. There may be short-term successes, but the house always wins. Statistical reality, not pessimism.

However, gambling may be fun when done for fun rather than profit. Be moderate and treat it as a hobby with boundaries. This gives you the exhilaration without the financial risk. Alternatives include hobbies or pastimes that are equally exciting or engaging. Finding balance and understanding gambling is key.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 10, 2024, 05:19:59 PM
I can relate to your precarious balance between personal and marital interests. You've done well to learn about safe gambling. Healthy gambling involves not chasing losses, gambling for fun, and minimizing financial risk.

Secrecy is key to your circumstance. I value honesty in relationships, especially in difficult topics like gambling. Not just gambling, but trust and openness in your relationship. Sharing this with your partner may soothe your guilt and spark a conversation about shared hobbies and interests.

Review your relationship dynamics las Every couple communicates and sets boundaries differently. If your husband is accommodating, he may appreciate your honesty and support your passion as long as it is pleasurable and not financially or emotionally draining. Its complicated, but its about balancing personal interests with relationship health and openness.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: January 10, 2024, 04:54:54 PM
`
Getting a loss will make someone upset because they didn't expect to get it, but because that is the result of gambling that many gamblers will experience, they have to be able to accept it. They can gamble again another day and it may be their lucky day so they can recover from their frustration. But if we just want to recover from our losses and continue gambling, it will probably increase the number of our losses and we will be increasingly unable to accept it. Those who continue to gamble and experience losses can only regret it without having a big chance to recover their losses.

Using demo-based gambling can avoid any losses, especially in financial terms. But many gamblers don't want to experience it because it is true that it is about sensations that cannot be felt in reality. And that's what makes people deposit their money to start feeling the real sensation of losing and winning so that if they can't control themselves, they will only experience more losses. Although they use small bets, if they are not accompanied by timing, they can experience big losses, especially if they desire to recover or win the gambling game. So when we want to gamble, we first determine how many bets we will use, and we also need to manage the money we can afford to control the money we can afford to gamble.
I've been there, I know that "the big win" can distort our judgment. As you said, gambling must be accepted. Losses are part of the game, not merely potential.

Demo-based gambling is fascinating. I think this is powerful, especially for beginners. Like a pilot flight simulator, it simulates the experience without the financial risk. You're right - it lacks the excitement of actual stakes. Here, self-control is vital. Gambling should be fun, not lucrative.

I've always advocated for time and money constraints. Self-governance lets you experience the thrill without pursuing losses. Remember, the best gamblers know when to quit. It takes judgment and moderation to walk the line between fun and stupidity.
1190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 10, 2024, 04:35:20 PM
Its important to peel back the onion. Daily gambling seems appealing because of "increasing chances". In theory, more tries mean more chances to win. However, reality is more complicated.

Dont forget probability. Gamble outcomes are unaffected by past losses or victories. This is where everyday "trying your luck" gets hard. Its like throwing darts blindfolded to strike the bullseye - the more you toss, the higher your odds, but the blindfold remains.

You mentioned addiction risk. Definitely a slippery slope. Regular gambling can rapidly become a habit. The "extramile" your friend mentioned for money? A red flag. Gambling should be fun, not profitable. Enjoy the rush, but know when to back off. Is daily gambling better? Not if it endangers your health and finances.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Long-term profitable strategies on: January 10, 2024, 04:13:08 PM
I think game mechanics are important. Poker, blackjack, and sports betting have different rules and odds. A tactic that works in one game may not in another. Find the sweet spot where knowledge meets opportunity. Additionally, luck must be considered. Gambling is random, even with the best strategy.

Risk management is the foundation of any long-term strategy. Knowing when to wager big and when to pull back is an art. Another ignored factor is psychological resiliency. Gamblers who can keep calm, especially after a loss, are more experienced. Emotional management goes beyond money management. I think a profitable strategy combines these factors with game knowledge.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 10, 2024, 03:56:25 PM

However, I think Real Madrid can also focus on their younger player and ignore Mbappe forever.

Yep. Talking about the potential of Madrid's young players makes more sense than spending €1 billion just on Mbappe.
And I think Madrid is now focused on regeneration. They have no interest in creating Galacticos Volume III and the like.
Currently, 11 young players will replace Luka Modric's generation.
Arda Guler, Rodriguez, Bellingham, Camavinga, Vinni, Rodrygo, and Brahim Diaz are the Next dream team and  Madrid's future projects.

Madrid's youth plan impresses me. Less reliance on big-name signings like Mbappe is refreshing. Bellingham and Camavinga have matured and integrated well into the team. Madrid's acumen in developing youthful talent allowed them to adjust swiftly and contribute.

I think this strategy is smart financially and sets the stage for the future. Vinni and Rodrygo are already showing their worth, while Ancelotti is eyeing Guler, indicating Madrid is developing a potential ideal team. This concentration on group strength rather than star power may help them win leagues and the UCL.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 10, 2024, 03:39:57 PM
Napoli is in the 9th place now, but the point gap with Fiorentina in the 4th place looks not very large. Actually, Napoli still has the chance to finish in UCL zone if they can play better in the second half of the season. However, Napoli is in the very bad form, it is hard to expect them to play consistently. Unless Napoli could change their tactics or sign new players to improve their performance, Napoli looks like to finish this season out of the top 5 of Serie A standings.
~
The fact that there are only 5 points to Fiorentina (fourth place) does not mean anything at all. In such situations, you need to take into account the number of teams that are in front of you. For example, if there was only one point to fourth place, but there were 100 teams ahead of Napoli, then Napoli’s chances of overtaking them all would be practically zero. Now there are as many as five teams ahead of Napoli and this is a large enough number that, despite the formally small gap, we can assume that Napoli’s chances are very low. Maybe a change of coach will give some kind of shake-up to the team, but at the moment it is not very clear how Napoli can seriously strengthen.

I don't think it's impossible for Napoli to qualify for the Champions League yet. Because there is still a long journey ahead. Each team will still play 19 more matches. So the scenario is likely to change. But for that, Napoli need to play well and win consistently. Napoli team is 5 points behind Fiorentina in the fourth place in the table. Napoli are also now ninth in the points table. There is still a chance to finish fourth in the table with consistent good performances and wins. But as Napoli are currently performing poorly, the chances of Napoli winning every match in a row is very low.
feel for Napoli, I really do. A promising team struggling is hard to watch. Their 19 games left and ninth place position make for a tough road ahead. They need to win consistently, which is difficult given their form. I hope they can turn it around, but they need to modify their game approach.

Their coach is unsure how to increase performance. Watching them lose contests they could have won hurts. If they cant adapt and overcome their obstacles, finishing fourth and qualifying for the Champions League will remain a dream. They have talent but lack leadership and plan to maximize it.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 10, 2024, 02:46:19 PM
~Snip
So, are the rumors of a move to Real Madrid over this season?
I don't see Mbappe as Real Madrid's most wanted striker so far, even if Mbappe wants to go there. Real Madrid haven't tried to sign Mbappe so far and I don't see them making him an offer, but the rumors will persist until Mbappe is no longer in PSG uniform.

Apart from Real Madrid, I think Kylian Mbappe also has the potential to join one of the Premier League teams. Of course we don't know where we will play, but what is clear is that PSG will not let Mbappe go without profit. If possible, I would like to see Mbappe at Arsenal if he really wants to move to the Premier League.
Whether that will happen or not we just have to wait to see how this develops because when we look at the rumours and news that are happening now it is actually very confusing and we know that even though there are some reports about some clubs such as Madrid or Liverpool who are said to be in communication with Mbappe but I think this is where we have to be wise and not get carried away with the cheap traffic created by some media because whether Mbappe goes or not everything will be answered when the time comes, it's just that for now we still have to wait and be smart to find news whose sources can be trusted.
Until now I still hold Fabrizio's words because of his track record which can be trusted in reference to what he has reported and in his tweets until now Mbappe still does not discuss his future and I am quite confident in that.

There have also been rumors about Mbappe being linked with Liverpool. So I guess if he were to join the Premier League he would probably join Liverpool. And it seems logical as Salah is also rumored to be leaving after the end of the current season.

Now the thing is that Ancelotti has said that he won't be recruiting any new players this season. It is true that they need a world class number 9 and I don't see any world class number 9 right now except Haaland and Mbappe.

If Mbappe does not join then I don't think there is any reason for them to recruit another number 9 because they already got Joselu who is getting the job done as an average number 9.

So if Real Madrid were to recruit any new number 9, I think that would have to be Mbappe or someone who is closer to his skill. And to be honest, currently, I don't see anyone close to his skillset.

Joselu is only a loan player from Espanyol. at the end of the season he will return to Espanyol. so it's not a permanent contract. if mbappe wants the no 9 it will definitely be given to mbappe. maybe if joselu is productive in scoring goals he can be made permanent by madrid if he wants.
Joselu and Mbappe's status at Real Madrid intrigues me. Joselu, on loan from Espanyol, has scored and assisted. Real Madrid should prolong his loan or buy him considering his productivity. Given his star status, Mbappe will presumably get the no. 9 jersey if he joins.

I think Madrid shouldnt rush to decide based on Mbappe's preferences. Joselu's jersey number flexibility is helpful. I think Mbappe plays better as a winger than a striker, allowing Rodrygo to play up front and Vini and Bellingham to support. This could balance the team and keep the offensive powerful without relying on one guy.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 10, 2024, 02:29:46 PM
Lyon has shown improvement in recent weeks. So I think the change of authority is actually working for them. The way they have performed so far in this season, it has been really bad. But the last 3 matches have been good for them and they were able to win all three out of the last three matches. So of course we have to give them credit. The good thing is they are already out of the relegation zone. It is going to be hard for them to improve the standing on the table. And it is definitely going to be a lot harder for them to actually finish in a competitive position like in the top six or something. But I think they will be able to stay out of the relegation zone.
Lyon this season is not performing well, starting the season badly and even being at the bottom of the standings, which is their worst peak this season. However, slowly they are starting to recover and are now getting further away from the relegation zone. This was a commendable effort for the squad to see. It is true that returning to competing at the top is difficult for Lyon this season, but at least they can get up and fight to be in the top 10 of the standings this season.

Because for me Lyon was a Ligue 1 powerhouse from 2000-12. Before Qatar came for psg. I remember the Lyon squad when they had Juninho, tiago, benzema, govou, coupet, Toulalan, erin abidal which was a very strong team. But watching Lyon now is really sad, don't forget Lyon has one of the best youth academies in Europe, they produced so many football talents at that time. I hope they will recover soon.
For those who remember Lyon's golden age, this season's trip hits differently. Lyon's current struggles are hard to reconcile with their past Ligue 1 dominance. I remember when they ruled France and the Champions League. They fell from those heights to a near-relegation scare this season, and it seems like watching an aging champion struggle to keep up. Their recent resurgence, even if its merely a top-10 fight, gives me optimism. Any team striving to restore its past glory needs that fighting spirit, which they've displayed.

Football is unpredictable, and Lyon's position reflects that. The history of Lyon makes their decline more tragic than PSG, Monaco, and Marseille's. Their academy, which produced Benzema and Juninho, is promising. As a supporter, I hope they return to the top of Ligue 1 and the European stage where they previously shined.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 10, 2024, 02:07:32 PM
In the Semi Final of the Supercopa de Espana, Real Madrid will face Atletico Madrid and yes, Real Madrid must be the favorites in this match. In fact, I hope there will be a very aggressive match in this match from both teams. And I hope both teams score goals in this match. Because I always feel bored with matches that don't produce many goals. And usually Atletico Madrid is the type of club that is always aggressive in making attacks and creating goals and so does Real Madrid. So this match will definitely not be boring.

After this match, the following week the two teams will meet again in the round of 16 at the Copa Del Rey. And this match will definitely be a revenge match for the team that lost in today's match.  Cheesy
Atletico Madrid's match against Real Madrid is always fierce because the Madrid Derby always presents an intense battle because both teams maintain their prestige and Atletico Madrid will play more aggressively when they face the Real Madrid team.
So I think whether there will be lots of goals or not, what is certain is that the match between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will be quite fierce even though Real Madrid are slightly favored because this season their strength is much better than Atletico Madrid.
But there is one interesting thing if we look at the history of the meeting between Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid. Because at the last meeting it turned out that Atletico Madrid came out as winners. And in the last 5 meetings we can also see that these two teams appear to have the same strength. Because of these 5 meetings, both teams each got 2 wins, 2 defeats and 1 draw. Which means that this match will also determine who is the superior this time. Real Madrid might seek revenge for their defeat at the start of this season in Laliga. But Atletico Madrid will probably only think about winning again like in the previous meeting. But currently Real Madrid is in very good condition. Because Vini Jr has also returned. So Real Madrid will definitely fight with full strength.
Im excited about this Real Madrid-Atletico Madrid match. I lean toward Real Madrid since their recent form is more promising. With Vini Jr. back, their offense seems strong. Remember their Girona match? Atletico played well, but Real Madrid had the edge.

Its been a close match in their last five, but I think Real Madrid will win this time. They're not simply competing for points; a revenge plan is hatching following that LaLiga loss. Atletico never make it easy, but Real's momentum should help them. It will be an action-packed match!
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 10, 2024, 01:50:44 PM
Chelsea are really difficult to understand. How could you manage to be this ineffective at scoring goals while dominating a game? They even lost the game I mean.  Sad  They should be thankful that the matchup is comprised of two legs. Otherwise they were already going to say goodbye to the EFL Cup which is probably the only tournament in which they can win the title.

But after watching this performance I don't think they would be able to beat probably Liverpool in the finale. Liverpool will be likely to have Salah back in the squad until the finale of the EFL Cup so Liverpool would be the winner of the cup I think.
Im confused about Chelsea's predicament too. They dominate the game without scoring, like a car in neutral - revving but not moving. Fans are frustrated with Pochettino's ineffective tactics. Their roster is good, especially against Middlesbrough, therefore they should score comfortably. But here we are, confused.

Fortunately, they still have a chance in the EFL Cup. A major turnaround is needed to advance, especially with Liverpool expected to get Salah back for the final. Chelsea isnt doing well. They must improve or watch the finals from their couches.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 10, 2024, 01:34:03 PM
Breaking News!

Bad news has come for Leverkusen because their mainstay striker this season, Victor Boniface, is reportedly injured and will be out for 6 weeks. The player from Nigeria also had to miss AFCON and I think this is a loss experienced by Nigeria and Leverkusen because they have to lose a very important figure in the competition. Victor Boniface has a right muscle-tendon injury and will undergo surgery in the next few days.

It seems that the intensity of the existing competition meant he had to step aside early before AFCON and the Bundesliga at the start of this year. Once again, Victor Boniface is a victim of the national competition he has to play for and previously we knew at Leverkusen he had no injury problems at all. Obviously this will be the biggest loss for Leverkusen because they lost the spearhead of their attack while currently topping the standings.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1744726883022045341

Theoretically, taking into account the fact that if not for the injury, Boniface would have taken part in the African Cup and would still have been absent from Bayer's upcoming games, Xabi should already have some kind of plan. But now the situation has become more complicated since restoration within the specified time frame is not guaranteed.
I'm shocked that Boniface scored 10 goals and are the club's top scorer, but the club's second top scorer is defender Grimaldo (7 goals)  Grin
Maybe he should finally change his position?
Leverkusen's position worries me. Losing Boniface, their leading scorer, is devastating, especially because they are close to Bayern Munich. Only four points separate them, making it tight. This is where squad depth matters. Munich's depth is superior, which is helpful in a long season. What will they do without Boniface in their next game versus Augsburg? It tests their resilience and plan under Xabi Alonso.

I think Leverkusen's single-player dependency is hazardous. Its like they put all their eggs in one basket and are suffering the price. Like them, a title contender should have a stronger lineup that can fill in for injured starters. This could imply they're still not as good as Munich, which can manage setbacks better. However, football can be unexpected, so they may surprise us.
1199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shared games helped you before? on: January 10, 2024, 01:12:24 PM
I think what is happening there are someone that are addicted to gambling, but he has no money to gamble, so he is gambling with other people's money to satisfy his needs.

He is hoping that you might hit it big with one of his random picks and then you will gift him some money, but he knows those bets come with zero risk... because you are funding these bets.

Stop helping him, friends do not do that to friends.
A friend will not do something that could have a bad impact on his friend. Funding other people to carry out their gambling activities is not a good idea because we have to think about the loss factor that they can receive at any time after they start gambling. And that will make him unable to return the money he borrowed from us so we also feel uncomfortable with that. Maybe he will immediately disappear and avoid us because he cannot pay his debts and we will regret it because we lent him money or funded his gambling activities. This is where we must understand that funding other people, even our friends, risks losing their money, especially if they often gamble and still want to try to make money from gambling. It will not go according to his wishes because this is gambling where we have to know the outcome of gambling is winning and losing and no one knows when he will win.
Supporting a friend's gambling might be risky. Not all journeys are bad. Consider that gambling is entertainment. Its like a nice night out when done responsibly.

And loss. Gambling is chance, therefore losses are possible. New perspective: isnt life a gamble? Every business or relationship investment has dangers. What matters is approach. Can a friend's harmless gambling with specified limitations and clear stakes be so different from sponsoring their weekend getaway?

Addressing trust and debt last. The adventure is shared if your friend is honest about their aims and restrictions and you lend within your means. Your money is invested in your friend's risky search of joy. Open communication and risk knowledge are crucial. Always remember that the experience matters more than the result.
1200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We dont own enough bitcoin on: January 10, 2024, 12:49:48 PM
I don't believe in mindset advice and stuff like that. This post is about "I don't have enough" mindset as the right one. Today I also read a thread that was about not desiring money to become rich, which is sort of the opposite.
People should do whatever feels right and natural to them, whatever has a positive impact on them. Envy is bad, greed is also bad. Having some motivation to obtain more BTC is alright, and being chill about money is alright as well. Moderation (being moderate) is one of the best ideas of humanity, IMO, and it applies in this matter as well as in any other.
I believe the "I don't have enough" mindset can be useful as a boost to encourage you acquiring and working more to achieve better results futurely, although as you said, moderation is one of the best traits to be practiced by humanity. It means we should know how further we can push ourselves, while respecting our personal limits, and once we reach them, it's time to replace the "I don't have enough" mentality by the "I have enough, under my current conditions" mindset. I believe the conscience of having done the best we could have is what really matters in the end. That is what brings inner peace, fulfillment.

Those who persue the maximum, the pinnacle, the supremacy end only frustrating themselves and prejudicing their mental health, because there will be always someone one step ahead of you, and someone one step ahead of who is above you...
First, "I don't have enough" drives ambition. It motivates us to explore cryptocurrency and personal growth. Like you said, moderation is crucial. Finding that precise balance between ambition and contentment.

Bitcoin makes this balance even more dramatic. The bitcoin world is volatile and unclear, making 'enough' difficult. Combining financial and emotional intelligence is crucial. Remember that Bitcoin's value isn't just its market price, but its unique financial independence. This perspective helps us appreciate blockchain technology's broader ramifications rather than just accumulating.

"I have enough, under my current situations" liberates powerfully. It shows our ability to be happy with our accomplishments regardless of comparison. The goal is internal satisfaction, not Bitcoin money or outdoing others. In Bitcoin and personal finance, success is measured by the peace and fulfillment we feel in our financial decisions and path to get there.
