Important announcement.
We have detected fraudulent transactions to address 1CP6dby8s3XNVFJPBQkXczDQFEqZ1jVnQS.
The website was taken offline for investigation.
Although some bitcoins were stolen from our "hot" wallet all deposits will be honored and the service will get back up as soon as we identify the problem.
Is there any estimation as to when the site might go back up?

hmm looks like that address received a total of 1,017.56 BTC since 01-11-2013 - the same day that I was unable to withdraw my funds. I'm hoping for the best but it appears someone made off with all of the BTCCan you confirm how much has been stolen Tolkas?

All the user funds are secure. We identified the problem (and the solution), we will be back online as soon as we finish the correction and testing. This will take several hours (10+).

How did you manage to secure the funds, if 1000 BTC's were sent to an unknown address? Might be a dumb question, but I don't know anything about how the network works....

BTCJam is built on top of Rails. Most likely same attack vector as the incident with Vircurex. The loss of money is the only thing urging Bitcoin service developers to maintain their code.

Most likely the owner of that address stole 1000+ coins, but not all from BTCjam. They probably used the same security exploit to steal from a variety of sites.

Hopefully the unconfirmed deposit balance I had will no longer be stuck at 4 and 3 satoshi after all this.

The app is corrected, the new wallet is syncing.
We will run some more tests after the wallet syncs, then we will open the site for public access, this will probably occur later today.
