Yeah that looks really good.  You could even get 5 gpu's on there if you wanted.

What processor are you going to use?  I just need to know what socket the motherboard needs to have.
1203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: help building a gpu mining rig on: April 05, 2013, 06:25:21 PM
Check on craigslist in your area for old motherboards that have 3 pcie slots.  I don't think you should get 3 7970's though unless you have a killer deal on them.  You could by 3 7950's and with the money you save you could buy another one.  Same cost and 2200mhs>1800mhs

Really?  I'm using chrome, but its a link to a 6950 on tigerdirect for 170 bucks.

Take a look at this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7581172&CatId=7005

I have 2 of these right now and their pretty good.
1206  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB-US] Any 5xxx 6xxx and 7xxx series AMD GPU on: April 03, 2013, 04:09:21 PM
I basically want any AMD GPU that is either 5xxx 6xxx or 7xxx series.  I will take all offers into consideration.

I live in California, so take shipping into consideration.

That is out of my budget.  I would get the same performance out of 2 5870's for half the price.

Just looking for some cards to mine LTC.  5830's 50's and 70's are preferred, but if you have another type of card give me an offer and I'll consider it.

I would prefer paying with Paypal, but I do have some BTC and LTC that I would be willing to pay with if you want it.

There is no bottleneck there. You can even mine at 1x speeds.

1212  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having trouble picking a GPU on: March 26, 2013, 04:23:11 AM
why not just save more money and get a 7970

He said highest hash rate for the money.  The 7970 gets 600-700 mhs but also costs more than 300 dollars, and that is used.  For that price, you could get 2 5850's which can get 600-800 mh/s, plus he would be saving more money.
1213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having trouble picking a GPU on: March 26, 2013, 03:56:28 AM
5850 is definitely recommended.  80-120 bucks on ebay/on the forum.  Mines litecoin at around 300-400 kh/s
1214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many BTC/month w 7970 on: March 25, 2013, 02:07:28 AM
Not sure about you guys but I only get 0.06 a day at 600MH/s (I can actually reach 800 MH/s by overvolting like crazy), probably less now that the difficulty is 6.8 million.  In other words, it is definitely not worth it if you plan to build a $1500 rig just to mine.  If you intend on buying a 7970 for gaming and mining on the side you can make around 130 bucks a month mining litecoin.

Is it safe to have 4 cards hooked up to a board using these?  With it screw up the board with all the power its sucking or will everything be okay?
1216  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello all on: March 24, 2013, 05:36:41 PM
So you say that it is showing you that you are mining with both cards in reaper?  If that is the case you should be getting around 150 mh/s.  Is that correct?
1217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling 1.9 Litecoins VERY CHEAP on: March 23, 2013, 08:04:56 PM
Yes trade went very well.  It was a pretty small amount but I would definitely recommend trading with iusecoins.
1218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling 1.9 Litecoins VERY CHEAP on: March 23, 2013, 07:48:41 PM
Just got them.  Now all I need is your BTC address.
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 7970 Litecoin Mining Help on: March 13, 2013, 11:01:36 PM
So I have a 7970. On one BIOS, the highest voltage is 1170 mV.  I usually mine litecoin on this BIOS at a speed of 600kH/s when my GPU Clock is at 900MHz and my memory is at 1575MHz.  When I switch over to my other BIOS, which allows me to crank the voltage up higher my litecoin speed goes way down.  At 1015 core and 1760 mem (I'm sure I could even go a little higher than this) I only get 400kH/s.

Does anybody know why this might be?
