201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may reach $ 20,000 by the end of this year? on: September 12, 2018, 04:54:22 PM
Odds are very, very low. Right now the market sentiment is bearish, there is no indiciation that there is going to be a breakout any time soon, and although the BTC dominance is gaining every day, BTC isn't increasing in value, it's just stagnating, whilst alts are going way down against BTC. Wait for corporate adoption, then we will see growth.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will hold my Alts but I do not care if the market goes to hell on: September 12, 2018, 04:51:07 PM
True, ETFs keep getting rejected due to the market manipulation and extreme volatility. There is almost a zero percent chance that an ETF for any top 10 cryptocurrency is going to be approved, and that's probably the right decision. I think that we need to see some extreme changes in volatility before we can even consider having regulated trading for these things.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There are too many ICO, why? on: September 11, 2018, 10:16:14 PM
Every ICO is trying to grab a slice of an emerging crowd funding market, they all see it is a get rich quick scheme, but that has quickly fallen on its face. I think the vast majority do not have any real desire to change the industry, they instead want to pocket some sweet ETH then GTFO when their freeze hold is over.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which casino game gives you the best odds of winning? on: September 11, 2018, 10:14:10 PM
I personally believe it is poker, this game gives you the chance to play against other players and using your skill, determination and knowledge to beat them, no other game in the casino gives you this opportunity. With practice and patience, you can learn to be a true beast at poker, increasing your win rate and EV.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survive on: September 11, 2018, 10:13:15 PM
For those who got in recently, now is definitely the time to exit your investment and hold out for the next bull wave. For those who bought in close to a cryptocurrency or token's ATH, I feel your pain, as I'm in the same boat. The best we can do is not dump, as that will contribute to the bear trend that we're seeing now.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the strangest or craziest thing you witnessed in a casino? on: September 11, 2018, 10:06:55 PM
Personally the strangest thing I've ever witnessed at a casino is the normal casino behavior.... People spending dozens of hours every week throwing their money down the drain for the slightest chance that they might strike gold! The fact that people are so blind to the fact they are destroying themselves is insane to me and yet it happens to hundreds of people every day.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: September 11, 2018, 10:05:20 PM
If you bought in ~$300 then you should sell as you're not likely to get your money back quickly on ETH, there are stronger horses in the race right now such as Dash and EOS. Anybody who bought in at $400+ is better off holding for the long (possibly extremely long) term, as Ethereum simply cannot stay at $180 forever, that would be ridiculous.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs. GGG 2 Discussion Thread, WHO YOU GOT? on: September 11, 2018, 10:04:11 PM
Personally I'm going to have to say GGG has got this one easily. Last time he was completely robbed by Amber Byrd or whatever her name was, who somehow scored Canelo massively in the lead (blind, paid-off or heavily biased?) GGG is just a beast, so is Canelo but I really don't think Golovkin will let it go to a decision again.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing with your portfolio on the bear market? on: September 11, 2018, 10:02:57 PM
Personally I have moved the majority of my portfolio into more stable coins, such as Bitcoin and Dash right now and liquidated all of my bags and trashcoins into USDT. I think that the strongest coins right now are EOS, Dash, Monero and platforms coins, ERC20 tokens are getting absolutely smashed so best to avoid them at all costs.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: September 11, 2018, 09:59:47 PM
People don't gamble for the fun of it, despite what they may say (generally). For the most part, they do it because of the thrill of winning something substantial or potentially winning a life-changing amount of money. Anybody who tells you they're having fun losing all their money every day on a slot machine is either delusional or a liar.
211  Other / Archival / Re: Ethereum Will the Next Bitcoin? on: September 10, 2018, 07:54:34 PM
Ethereum isn't trying to be the next bitcoin, it's a development platform and virtual operating something, it's cryptocurrency utility is just one tiny fraction of its potential. The answer therefore must be no, because they're looking to achieve different goals as cryptocurrency.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Panic selling. on: September 10, 2018, 07:53:21 PM
Not much you can do about it, people attribute the big dips with a lot of panic selling, maybe that's not the actual cause and these panic sellers are actually the scapegoat, false accusations when the real cause remains hidden. It could easily be market manipulation or whale movements.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid getting scammed. on: September 10, 2018, 07:52:36 PM
Simply never send payments without contracts and identity verification, that way there is far less incentive to scam you when they know the police could come banging down their door. This will severely limit your opportunities however, so you should go for a happy compromise of risk and reward.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops and Bounties useful? on: September 10, 2018, 07:50:35 PM
Airdrops and bounties are good for decentralizzing the token distribution, and hence contributing to trading that occurs after the ICO or project launches. As advertising vehicles however, they are useful if they are performed right, definitely need a high quality campaign to achieve useful marketing now.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there hope? Can we still make a bigger profit from altcoins this year? on: September 10, 2018, 07:49:44 PM
You definitely won't be making a bigger profit than if you had invested last year, that's definitely certain. Don't invest thinking that you're going to make 5-10+ times your money, because that's certainly not happening unless you get unbelievably lucky. Look for modest gains, 10-30% should be your short-term goals.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin as a practical currency? on: September 10, 2018, 07:45:44 PM
Right now the number of transactions per second the bitcoin network can handle is very low, so they're working on off-chain solutions like Lightning to make it a lot faster, so it can then be used for practical purposes. It will probably be a couple of years before lightning is actually working at a large number of retailers though.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Stock Exchange will launch ( Owner of NYSE) on: September 10, 2018, 07:28:04 PM
Doesn't really matter, the stock exchange is due for one massive correction, just like the cryptocurrency industry. Crypto is like the stock market on steroids, things happen 10x faster than usual, but the same trends are visible in the stock markets as the crypto when it went downhill.
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let be objective with our investment on: September 10, 2018, 07:27:15 PM
Definitey. x1000 is simply not going to happen now, people should be happy if they even get 2-3x within a short period of time. The market is not in good shape right now so even modest gains should be grabbed and exited as soon as possible. Don't hold out for more than 15% a month or you are likely to lose a lot more.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Even the Politicians have secret investment in Bitcoin on: September 10, 2018, 07:20:57 PM
Of course, if you know your words or actions can significantly alter the market which you can then benefit from, then obviously they're going to be greedy and take advantage of the situation. No doubt that's why they keep delaying the ETF decisions.
220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish outlook for BTC - will it last? on: September 06, 2018, 07:11:27 AM
The cryptocurrency market is f***ing pathetic. One piece of bad news sends it into a tail spin towards $0. Can you imagine if this news hit a fiat currency like the EUR or USD? There would be absolutely no change in valuation. Imagine if there were 3-4 of these bad news in a row? It would probably send Bitcoin down to $1,000, knocking 90% off the market capitalization. Can't wait to get out of this pathetic market.
