2161  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are MtGox withdrawls delayed to artificially keep the Bitcoin price high? on: May 23, 2013, 04:55:24 PM
Is there something wrong with Slovenia?

A little surprised you didnt mention the other countries, but how about Slovanian economy crashing at any moment?

To pick an exchange, you really have to chose from the ones which are set up to interface with your local banking system. For us to help you find such, you will have to tell us in which country you are located?

Euro based and i guess im a little nostalgic about bitcoin24.

Could you be a bit more wordy, I have no idea what concept or reaction you are trying to convey with "dwolla = really???", is it surprise that such an amazing thing exists or sarcastic dismissal of the whole idea?
Lemme think, what was it that Dwolla made news with recently? Right, frozen accounts...
But thats irrelevant for the search for the perfect exchange, because im Euro based.
Anyway what i was trying to convey in my initial post is that unfortunately Gox is the lesser evil out of all those services.

btce = no way to get your money in or out + russia

btcchina = see btce
dwolla = really???

otoh doing business in those countries sounds better than in the us atm

Everywhere? Really everywhere? Chinese, Arab, Latin pages included?
Europe for example?
And can you give us some details on the "Sliding Scale"?
2164  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are MtGox withdrawls delayed to artificially keep the Bitcoin price high? on: May 23, 2013, 03:50:29 PM
Why is anybody still using MtGox?
What alternative is there?
2165  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC limit for "large withdrawals" on Bitstamp on: May 23, 2013, 10:40:22 AM
Thx for the input, but back ot:

Does anybody know what they consider "large"?
Anything above 100?
2166  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC limit for "large withdrawals" on Bitstamp on: May 23, 2013, 07:40:22 AM
As i already said they dont have any accounts in the US.
Their bank is based in Slovenia and owned by an Italian holding.
2167  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC limit for "large withdrawals" on Bitstamp on: May 23, 2013, 07:17:49 AM
No idea about the pseudo coin, but Bitstamp is not located in the US nor is its bank.
2168  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best way to withdraw large amounts of cash from Bitcoin ecosystem? on: May 23, 2013, 07:14:42 AM
Verified isn't to tough but it does involve sending KYC/AML related information and my understanding is Mtgox has a backlog right now.

Its not as bad as a month ago with 20k requests pending. Last i heard its being processed within 24h by now.
2169  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC limit for "large withdrawals" on Bitstamp on: May 23, 2013, 07:06:02 AM
But this doesnt make any sense, if they would be short of anything, it should be Fiat, considering the recent development.

MS employees researching Bitcoin and Zerocoin? Thanks, this is big.
Yeah, big for them. They will just plunder and pillage BTC and leave the remains to rot, like they always do.
2171  Economy / Service Discussion / BTC limit for "large withdrawals" on Bitstamp on: May 23, 2013, 06:43:16 AM
As i understand it Bitstamp processes large withdrawals manually.
It took 7h yesterday for the transfer to just being initiated.

Does anybody know what they consider "large"?

2175  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 17, 2013, 03:10:15 PM
ffs, could you guys please get back ot?
2176  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 15, 2013, 04:36:02 PM
If by any chance you were referring to the BTC24 fiasco, it wasn't the push of a button but a federal prosecutor asking for international cooperation on a criminal matter. Go there, read the statements, see for yourself, and learn.
I wasnt referring to that case specifically, but since you mention it:
They closed the account in Germany for suspicion of fraud instantly. Poland followed suit without inspection as soon as the request from Germany arrived too.
Now if accounts can be closed that easily in separate countries, with their own bylaws and jurisdictions, for suspected fraud, imagine what the freakin DHS can do on whatever charges they dream up.

Edit: Im having difficulties understanding your edit, are you saying its not so hard afterall?
2177  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 15, 2013, 02:45:39 PM
In Europe, which prides itself for its liberty and democracy, accounts are closed across borders as simple as pushing a button.
Lets not kid ourselves, once a certain "threat level" is reached or big brother asks for a favor, every country throws their principles overboard.

I am also having a very hard time believing in the cluelessness of MtGox, they are somehow always involved, but are the last to learn about it.

2178  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 14, 2013, 02:31:49 PM
Makes perfect sense.
Unfortunately i this hypothetical scenario Gox would get their share out and the 75kk would be the customers cash.
2179  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 04, 2013, 03:08:57 PM
What are the chances of the money and bitcoins being frozen until this is settled?

Zero unless Coinlabs sue them in Japan. But then only Fiat assets frozen.

In the recent BTC24 case fiat accounts were frozen in Germany instantlly and in Poland a day later, when the request from Germany arrived.
