FOOOL!

wow we're dropping fast!!
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poppppp!!! I'm calling it See you at 300 on: December 18, 2013, 07:25:57 AM
no, alot of these wallets understand where BTC will end up in several years, so these minor dips or runups in price don't interest them.

+1

It is sufficient if bitcoin goes up, say 25% a year.

yeah, well it still makes zero sense unless these people are all wealthy before bitcoins.

How can someone possibly have millions of dollars in bitcoin, and not sell one single coin - not even one. Something is not right, I am trying to work it out.

If these people believe that much in bitcoin, all of them, to the point that of their 10 000 or more bitcoins, they cannot even part with one, then they cannot be mentally sound - or they are so rich that they do not care.

OR

as previous poster stated, perhaps almost all of these are dead wallets. That would make sense to me at least.

I would believe they're dead wallets. Why would you care about something that was worth nothing at the time. Who would've known? 10,000BTC for a pizza looks insane at todays prices, but was it really?
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poppppp!!! I'm calling it See you at 300 on: December 18, 2013, 07:22:06 AM
oh man... How low could this go?

Think about all the money that was pumped in early on... There's a huge amount of coins now that people will be looking to pull out at any price.
25  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poppppp!!! I'm calling it See you at 300 on: December 18, 2013, 06:45:41 AM
Oh man, this is just like the last crash I find it really hard to imagine why people would be buying now...

You'd have to have a lot of money if you wanted to manipulate the price up... a lot.

26  Economy / Speculation / Poppppp!!! I'm calling it See you at 300 on: December 18, 2013, 06:09:35 AM
Game over guys... Sure we'll end higher than we started but, with China out of the picture, I really think we're post peak
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am happy now on: November 19, 2013, 02:34:31 PM
I was screaming the last 2 weeks "bubble" and nobody listened. People were delusional, thinking of new paradigms, prices of 10,000 USD and so on. But history repeated, bubble popped and lots of people are now at a loss. Sadly, that's the name of the overspeculation game.

I believe prices of more than 250 are unsustainable and we will eventually get even lower. China is not buying, it's speculating. It's playing. Chinese are mostly gamblers, not investors.

So, see ya at 300s

Hah!

Prepare to buy back higher my friend. There's no reason for this bubble to burst yet, it's only the beginning!
28  Economy / Speculation / Re: Estimated inflection point ( from the last bubble ) on: November 19, 2013, 12:07:25 PM
I think this needs be updated. We already had a correction from $900 and it recovered rapidly. Do you think another 10% increase to $986 will suddenly be the inflection point?

Currently at 607 (btc-e) and it went to 823.A crash already of 26 % .

I wouldn't call that a crash.. It's just a fluctuation.

I'm holding. Lots of people want to sell out at a quick buck, and fair enough... but BTC is bound to keep climbing... What was the biggest threat to BTC (the US gov) has pretty much given the green light on it.

Ehh maybe it'll drop some more, but I think that's only because the smart money is slowly flooding into the exchanges... They'll be looking to buy up as many BTC as possible and hold, cause there's only one way this thing is going now long term... and that's up!
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: Help? on: November 18, 2013, 04:42:52 PM
Ehhh what are you complaining about?

You can still buy them now!

Then see how you feel when it hits $5500
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: anyone staying awake all night tonight in fear of the big crash? on: November 18, 2013, 04:01:31 PM

32  Economy / Speculation / Re: ugh, timing the market isn't worth the trouble on: November 16, 2013, 04:08:51 PM
Mate, I've been guilty of trying this.. I know it's bad, I lose at it, yet I keep rolling the dice essentially gambling with my BTC.

Offline wallet is definitely the way to go. If I never played the trading game I'd be $35,000USD richer. I hate gambling, you'll never see me put down $100 on anything but poker at the casino. But for some reason I'm willing to throw away my BTC as soon as the lights start flashing on bitcoinity. In short I've got a gambling problem.

I hate it, because everytime I buy back in higher, it makes me more vulnerable to a drop, to the point where I might actually be losing money by holding BTC. I used to top up my BTC by depositing more money in, now at these rates I just can't afford to. $1k is only 2BTC! Ludicrous. My BTC is dwindling and I'll never make it back

Despite what you think, there's no way to predict what will happen.

Trading = Gambling

It's addictive. Don't do it. Buy and hold is the only way to go.

33  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would happen to the price with a bitcoin funded terrorist attack? on: August 19, 2013, 03:12:33 PM
If that we're to happen, the value of BTC would drop through the floor. As it would almost cettainly no longer be possible for any bank linkex exchanges to exist so the currency would cease to exist.

Another crypto currency would take it's place. A commercial one perhaps
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally from $65 to 95 caused by Satoshi Dice acquisition on: July 26, 2013, 08:56:20 AM
My question is how many ordinary shares were there?

How much did they each get paid out?
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be blood on: July 21, 2013, 03:34:17 PM
The drop has started, but has not gained momentum yet. All it takes is someone to dump 2k at the 88 wall, and then down we go.

Well that's 1 of 2k dumped...

There's really no way that so much free BTC from the Satoshi dice sale, won't have an impact..

I wonder where the price will be when I wake up.
36  Economy / Speculation / There will be blood on: July 21, 2013, 04:21:07 AM
Despite the 1k buy wall at 89, and 1k wall at 88, something very interesting has been happening on the sell side...

It just keeps getting higher, and higher, and higher.

On the other hand, the buy side is staying about the same.

This looks exactly like what was happening before when we dropped to the 60s.

The wave is rising, and it's only a matter of time before it crashes, imho.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 Scenarios resulting from SD: Bearish vs. Turbo Bearish with Lasers on Top on: July 18, 2013, 03:12:21 PM
I think the real risk as somebody has said is there will be less people buying.

Thus we're likely to see a gradual slide as nobody is making these huge buys that caused the recovery to 90
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 Scenarios resulting from SD: Bearish vs. Turbo Bearish with Lasers on Top on: July 18, 2013, 03:11:15 PM
Why do people with shares in SD suddenly feel compelled to turn them into fiat?

Considering their sdice stock suddenly went up 50% (from 0.0020 market to 0.0035 buyout) some would already automatically have sold some sdice stock as to lower their exposure.

However now everybody got coins instead of stock, and a lot of coins considering it's 50% more coins than the value of the stock was just a few days ago.

So some will want to lower their exposure to bitcoins as it just went up a lot for them.

We are talking around 150,000 btc that went to shareholders. Say they want to sell 20% of those btc that is around 30,000 btc that will be sold.

Also all these coins were likely bought recently, so the price was likely pushed up artificially, and is now partly going back down.

30k BTC is a drop in the ocean.

Maybe the price will dip a bit more, but I'd say it's pretty safe to stay above 80. Maybe even 90
39  Economy / Speculation / Re: Satoshi Dice Buy out: 126,315 BTC! Payout to be released to share holders! on: July 18, 2013, 11:09:57 AM
WTF, does this make good business sense???

126,315 BTC

That's $11 million dollars at the current rate..,

What is the turnover of Satoshi dice?

That sound's ludicrous, think I could make a much better investment with 11 Mil
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's going to blow... on: July 16, 2013, 03:34:36 PM
My thoughts, the withdrawal issues at Gox really mean there's not much benefit in selling out there.

They seem to have no issues taking deposits though. I managed to get some money in, despite it being delayed. If you were holding BTC and wanted to get it out in a reasonable time period you'd find other channels.

Everyone still looks to Gox for price advice, so I think the price is being artificially sustained.

I suspect we'll move sideways for a while longer, until the withdrawal issues are resolved. Perhaps we could even have a bit of a climb if people were holding fiat and were desperate to get it out
