224  Economy / Speculation / Re: less than 3 hrs to the "attack", will it affect your trading? on: April 22, 2013, 03:24:54 PM
T-3Mins, actually saw a couple of buys... Waiting with anticipation, surely a few people will sell... Just for kicks?
225  Economy / Speculation / Re: less than 3 hrs to the "attack", will it affect your trading? on: April 22, 2013, 03:23:15 PM
T-5mins quiet. Not much change.
226  Economy / Speculation / Re: less than 3 hrs to the "attack", will it affect your trading? on: April 22, 2013, 03:21:16 PM
T-7mins a few sells.. Some red bars.. Nothing too crazy
227  Economy / Speculation / Re: less than 3 hrs to the "attack", will it affect your trading? on: April 22, 2013, 03:18:37 PM
Yeah...

Less than 10 mins, you'd think if people were on edge you'd start to see some sharp selling right now.

Why wait till 15:30 exactly?

Then again if there's any legitimacy you'd think it would happen exactly on time.
228  Economy / Speculation / Re: less than 3 hrs to the "attack", will it affect your trading? on: April 22, 2013, 03:06:15 PM
Well, we'll find out soon 20 mins to go.

Seems nothing going to happen.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: less than 3 hrs to the "attack", will it affect your trading? on: April 22, 2013, 02:11:13 PM
Why ddos bitcoinity if you also ddos mtgox?
Bitcoinity works via the mtgox api.

So yeah, bullocks and just a hoax to get the price down.
They did this before.

To be honest with you, I'm more scared when bitcoinity goes down than Gox.

I'm used to Gox going down now, if bitcoinity takes a hit feels like I'm blind.
230  Economy / Speculation / Re: less than 3 hrs to the "attack", will it affect your trading? on: April 22, 2013, 02:03:45 PM
This sounds like one teenager's fantasy. I doubt there are any real resources behind this idea.

I'd agree... seems full of shit.

Some I can believe, but the bit about 250,000BTC. Can't really swallow that one.

That's 30million dollars.. No way they've got that.

$200k to drop below 120. That to me seems like the psychological barrier.

$480k to get to 125

Seems like it wouldn't take much to tip the market. Maybe the hoax is enough?

Bitstamp is under attack for the last 3h, quite opposite of what was stated in the that pastebin...

https://twitter.com/Bitstamp

Maybe it was a decoy?

Hmm

Infact if you think about it... Why would they start it on time, if they were actually going to do it?

Maybe the whole thing is a decoy..

Sold a couple and will rebuy if the chaos materializes - enough to make it interesting, but not enough to make it matter much either way.

Yeah I'm waiting for the price to climb a little bit, if the price is ok, I'm planning to sell just before but I'm also ready to dump at the first sign of panic.

I reckon people got the same idea. This could work out quite profitably if you're first to sell
Either you're pretty stupid, or you're trying to manipulate people. Is this really the way you want to advertise your service?

Ouch... Well seems the price is going down... I sold at 22!!

I'm sure most of us have seen this by now...

This just to get a poll. I'm stuck in the middle.
236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like some script kiddie is trying to coordinate a price drop for Monday on: April 22, 2013, 01:09:31 PM
ahhh... well I guess that proves it's a hoax then.

Question is, will anybody trade on it?
237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Gox Lagging?? There's virtually no trades happening! on: April 22, 2013, 01:07:23 PM
But bitconity keeps showing Mt Gox Lag, every few seconds
238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Gox Lagging?? There's virtually no trades happening! on: April 22, 2013, 01:05:35 PM
Sure, the lag's only a couple of seconds, but why any?

I don't see big volumes happening here.
239  Economy / Speculation / Why is Gox Lagging?? There's virtually no trades happening! on: April 22, 2013, 01:04:58 PM
Ok.. I gotta ask, is this script kiddie stuff legit?

There's very little traffic on gox, yet it's lagging??

Are they being DDOSed?
240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like some script kiddie is trying to coordinate a price drop for Monday on: April 22, 2013, 01:03:57 PM
That was on their hit list wasn't it?
