81  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: December 29, 2023, 02:37:16 PM
The problem with the career of a salaried employee is that he can always be fired, and then because of competition or age he will no longer be able to get a similarly paid position. A business owner - if he has successfully found his niche, he is more firmly established on his feet. Of course, the risk of the business owner is greater, but there are also many advantages
Just that sometime in life working as a salary earner is just like a work of boundage that you can be earning the same amount of salary for a long time and if at all it is increased due to promotion their won't be much difference. One can just remain here all through hus/her career receiving peanut while their are better things that one can do with it his/ her life to grow financially to make good amount money. I don't Really like salary jobs because it can close the doors for other opportunities to make money.
Yes, it is like a bondage. But sometimes it is a blessing. What I mean in essence is that, for those persons who just graduated and want to start a life. Since they do not have the capital to start a business or they are new in labor market. They can start by working for someone for some period to gather money. If the person is wise, with good managerial knowledge he would be able to save up to start a business or learn a skill. After that, he may set up his workspace or office and start rendering his services to people.

Now you see that working for someone can either be a curse or a blessing. It all depends on the one the individual chooses.

You got a valid point, for someone who don't have money to start a business or an investment, no other option but to work with someone
who can pay them and give them the chance to explore.

By experienced and by the money that they save, if the person is really aiming to own his business or he's seeing that he really good
in doing something to earn.

He can start then establishing a business on his own and if fate decided to support him, he may find that success.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: December 29, 2023, 11:48:30 AM
I want to pose a question that I believe is quite expensive for many of us here, and it's a dilemma most of us can relate to. We all know that gambling is a game where we put our luck to the test. However, there's a crucial moment in every gambler's journey. the moment when you hit that big win. Do you cash out and savor your victory, or do you continue playing in hopes of even bigger winnings?

I've often wondered how many of us can truly stop playing when we are ahead. It's a challenge because the allure of winning more can be irresistible. I've witnessed situations where a friend deposited money into a casino, faced losses, and just when he was on the brink of frustration, he struck a significant win. Did he stop playing? No, he left his winnings in the casino, only to lose it all again.
So, I ask you all, what would you do when you finally make that big win? Would you cash out immediately to enjoy your winnings, or would you keep playing in the hopes of an even more substantial prize? Shocked

Best advice ever is, cash out and leave the gambling arena for at least a week if you can but nothing less than a day. The urge to play more is heightened when a significant win is secured. That feeling of competence is the very feeling that leaves you wrecked. The fact that you just secure a sgnificant win does not mean that it will be constant and the earlier you undersand that the better for you.

Gambling is more of luck than expertise, at no time should one think that a win can be repeated almost immediately leveraging the strategy of the previous win, it is not true and can be disastrous to one's finances.

If you can do that, I think there's nothing that you can't control and the chance of enjoying your profits can be taken out from your
gambling activities.

It's not easy when your adrenaline is really asking for more after experiencing that decent win, but if you follow that greed inside you.

The chance that instead of having some money, it can eat all of your finances when you failed to utilize your control
over the emotion that keeps asking for more.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 28, 2023, 04:33:31 PM
Right, we have witnessed Cade shredding tears if I'm not mistaken as they have lost another game. I'm not sure though if they have time to fix it, I mean just look at the body language of this players, they surely doesn't want to be in this space.

I heard a lot of fans really getting mad, even in their reddit, if you follow them they are some fans that ridicule this group that you don't want to read what this fans are saying to their team. And I guess as you have said, they are going to carry this one for years until someone erases that record.

Huge frustrations are now in side with Piston since they are now mentally in trouble because it seems they are in situation where they are so desperate on situation they are on. Losing such huge streak is so awkward especially their fans is totally ashamed on how they perform. I feel sorry for Cade but they need to step up and win their game since if they let those frustrations eat them then for sure they might continue to get a defeat. As said they also need to have good adjustment and coach have other plan to make this things work right since their play is totally a huge means and their defense is so poor and that contribute on why they encounter another defeat.

They need to find that right adjustments on both sides, nothing will change even how deep they will take these losing streaks,

they should focus on the things that they can still improve, dwelling with losses will not change anything.

Winning attitude still need inside of each players mindset, it's been a long time but still nothing is happening with this franchise, unable to create
some hypes and now a losing streak record that will be kept in the league history, something that the owner should try to work on.

84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 28, 2023, 04:08:08 PM
-snip

Not really with a small mindset. People who feel lonely somehow are the ones who lose their appetite for talks due to heartbreaks and failures, they sometimes find comfort in playing games. If they were just interested in computer games like DOTA, they would play those games but adults usually find things that are for adults.

-snip
like venting his loneliness into playing video games, right?
sometimes everyone has a different outlet and not only young people but adults sometimes vent their loneliness by playing video games and I myself sometimes do this when I'm lonely instead of having to vent it in gambling.

maybe it's true that all of this depends on the mindset of a gambler. those who have a healthy mindset will definitely make efforts to relieve loneliness by doing something positive and providing a sensation of pleasure. but the problem is that sometimes video games make you annoyed, just like gambling, sometimes playing video games and getting a losing streak actually gives you the sensation of being annoyed and wanting to get angry and for me, what is more appropriate to vent this loneliness is better to come to a friend or relative's house to talk about something fun, that's much better good for adults.
If one is lonely that person should not try getting involved into gambling just because he or she is lonely but he or she should try to keep him or her self busy by doing other things like playing a video game or listening to music or still, watching TV.
Many people do get involved into gamble and they do not know the how tough gamble can be sometimes, but truth be told that if a gambler do not know about any game he or shw should not stake because less Knowledge can make a gambler lose more money in gamble.

Someone can actually gambles even when being lonely, as long as the person involved wishes to have something to get himself busy with and can also gamble, what we should get straight concerning this is the fact that loneliness won't last for a lifetime, it's just for a while, we can choose to gamble when we discover such, this is not a means to getting addicted or so, we are only getting occupied with gambling when been lonely.
You are absolutely correct, but I really believe that that's not a smart move, a lonely person shouldn't gamble but try to do other activities that can keep him or her self busy.
Just think about this,,,, who if the person isn't a gambler?
So you see, that's not a good idea for someone who's not a gambler to gamble because he or she is less busy, lonely or looking for something that can keep him or her busy.
For a gambler, loneliness can not make him to gamble, because if he's not doing anything he might think to go and double his or her money or try to check if he might be luck to win when he stake.

Not a good idea at all, but due to loneliness people can sort it out to gambling, trying to find the best past time that they can have
and eventually if they feel that attachments, they become addicted.

We can't remove that fact anyone can turned to addiction if there's no balance and because of that loneliness, it will add up to the weight of keep playing.

instead of moving forward using this place to fill your sadness is really a big risk, not a good call or a good alternative at all.
85  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga Dapat Iwasan At Tandaan Kung Sasali Sa Mga Airdrop on: December 28, 2023, 01:13:27 PM

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: December 28, 2023, 01:03:51 PM
Hi guys, Is it too late now to buy BNB? Or can we expect huge price drop in this year?

      -  My question to you, mate, is: Are you a BnB enthusiast? Follow what's in your heart, then do your own research on BnB,  given that it really has potential in the market and is among the top listed that can be trusted when it comes to long-term investment.

BnB is good, but for me, he is not my priority for the upcoming bull run because I really want to score goals in the upcoming bull season. If I had enough money to buy cryptocurrency, BnB would definitely be one that I would buy for long-term holdings.

You need to have that trust before investing, asking if BNB is a good asset to buy will be answerable both yes and no, those who believe will say yes
while those who are not will say against it as they have their own point of view regarding to this project.

So better to do your own research and let yourself answer your question, if you understand how the market will go, anticipating how this project will
move is definitely your own decision to make.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 27, 2023, 10:34:34 PM
It is no doubt that Inoue is literally a monster in a human form. Speed, power, foot work, all of those combined are on him. I still congratulate Tapales for facing him and how he has shown his toughness on this match and even if there are a lot of Filipinos that are disappointed with the match and can't accept defeat for our fellow countrymen. That's how boxing and any other sport is, there are winners and there are losers but that's fine. I think that Tapales did a great job and his team made him a strategy but it just didn't work against Inoue. He'll come back stronger for sure.

Yes, I myself was completely shock to see Marlon going 10 rounds, as I have said previously, 7 might be the round that Tapales will be knockout. Nevertheless, how can anyone beat that version of Inoue? He is a complete fighter now, with speed, combine with power and that footwork.

He is comfortable facing a lefty, and that foot placement, we can see it throughout the fight. If Marlon could have more power or more more head movement, it might end up in the judges scorecard by I think the result will be the same.
All those features of Inoue are truly making him unbeatable and formidable. And those that are too aggressive are what he's liking more if ever someone is going to challenge him again. I don't think that a boxer that's too aggressive will work it out to beat his ass. He's just too good at his form right now but I think that when he becomes older, these are going to slowdown, his speed, power and IQ. But who knows if he'll retire undefeated and that's going to be in the books for real.

With the way he's showing his greatness, it's a tough call for anyone to challenge him, I think on his division right now after unifying
all the belts, challenger might think twice.

Though we can't remove that fact fighters always love the challenge so either top rank fighter will negotiate, or promoters will bring names
to Inoue's camp and see if which fighter will be the next one to try Inoue's greatness.

For now, let him enjoy another achievement, unifying all the belts after moving up that's really something that will remembered.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of proper knowledge on casino games increases chance of loss and reduce fun on: December 27, 2023, 10:21:53 PM
Everyone of us starts being a newbie, though we have a knowledge on how to play, but that little knowledge is quite dangerous. But as we go along, we tend to enjoy what we are doing until we fall in love with the game, it's not about the chances of winning, it's more on the entertainment it will bring. Being a wise gambler, we don't risk big money when we aren't confident yet with our chances, so the risk will be reduce even if we are still at the experimenting stage as we would only lose a minimal amount, that if we know how to manage the risk.
And it's better to be a wise gambler so we don't take big risks, let alone lose much money. Having sufficient knowledge in gambling is highly recommended so that we can gamble comfortably in the gambling games. But that's not all gambling games because, for luck-based gambling games, we only need to know the bet amount and start playing. But if it is a skill-based gambling game, having knowledge is necessary to analyze before placing a bet. But overall, we really need to have knowledge about gambling so we can enjoy gambling games. And don't forget about learning self-control when gambling because it prevents us from gambling excessively.

Yeah, these two different types of gambling needed different approaches as well, like what you mentioned knowledge in a skill based gambling
can give some edge while with luck-based games it is something that mostly depends on how you manage your bankroll.

Though I also believe that lacking knowledge can cost a huge increase of losing your money, but with luck chances is still possible, as long as
you are aware with how gambling works and you understand the risk that you are taking, you might have that chance to enjoy.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: December 26, 2023, 10:04:02 PM
You know before getting to the stage where you're called a successful gambler. That means you have pass through alot of stages before getting there. And one of those stages are uncontrollable losses, addiction etc. So to be a successful gamble doesn't mean you must be addicted because most successful gamblers have already know the ways to handle such things. Because without having good control of you gambling habits you can't become a successful gambler at first . Is through your luck and your principles in gambling.
Are you saying that before you can be a successful gambler you must have gone through some kind of regular losses that one cannot control and as well addiction? Buddy it's all wrong. Some gamblers are just lucky that during their first month or week of gambling they got a massive cash out. Sincerely speaking, in my country a guy took a bet from a friend, and this was his first time. He asked for games, and they gave him. He used a good amount and staked it and was lucky to win very big. Ever since that day he stopped gambling and was very successful.

That's a good decision to make, instead of pushing for more, using the money that he earns from gambling to something that can grow like investment
or any type of business will allow him to enjoy more.

There are people who got lucky and manage to takeaway something from the house, some continue to play and use that experience as edge
while some really calculated their budget and make sure that money and time is well taking cared.

Those who set their limitation and manage to execute the strategy might be addicted to it in a good way.
90  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: December 26, 2023, 09:44:36 PM
Old people or newbies can never profit through over trade because over trade will lead to losses for most traders depending on the market dynamics you have to invest there will be times when investing in the market will have a 99% chance of loss.
That means that no one's going to make profit with trading because you've said either old or newbies.

Overtrading isn't bad at all but I also understand that there's no need for a trader to go and overtrade when he's already in profit. With that means to say, when someone who doesn't have enough profits yet.

They will overtrade because that's what it means to them until they reach certain profit that they're targeting.

Nothing is wrong only if the trader understand how things works, though most of the time, overtrading is because of greed, instead of quitting or calling
for the day and enjoy your profits.

Some traders insist to try for more, thinking that they will continue to make more winning positions, and if by bad luck, all those new positions will be
wipe out as the direction of the market eventually didn't favor your assessment.

Always have that set target and enjoy instead of regretting if you miscalculated the possible market directions.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 26, 2023, 03:58:16 AM
The fight that is called the Asian fight. Marlon Tapales from the Philippines with a record of 37-3, lost 3 times, one of which lost by TKO to a Japanese boxer in 2019.
while inoue is the king of ko from Japan and has never lost. in this fight inoue is definitely favored to win. in addition to the golden boy of bob arum,  the match will also be held in Japan. inoue's home base, which will certainly increase the spirit of inoue's combat power.

Yeah, both fighters came from Asia, and it will be a unifying fight for both champs, I agree and if not all most of us believes that Inoue have that
huge edge against Tapales, especially in terms of KO capabilities.

Though for sure with that 6 months preparations for Tapales he will give some decent fighting style for those fans who still believing on his capability.

Adding to that, the venue is also a factor for Inoue's edge, showcasing your best in front of your own crown that's adds up for him
to continue bringing that glory for his home crowd.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 26, 2023, 03:44:49 AM
The Golden State Warriors finally winning most of their games. They are now on their 5th winning streak but later it will be a problem if they will continue that winning streak. They will be up against the strong Denver Nuggets which are also on their 4th winning streak. My worry is who will be defending Nikola Jokic, it could become an easy score for the Nuggets if no one can stop him. I doubt Saric could do the job, he is too small to stop the skillful big and I bet Coach Malone would take advantage of that, without any doubt.

I am amazed at how the Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics days ago but that's because they played fire with fire. Considering how good the defense of the Nuggets is, it will be a different fight.
Klay Thompson is on his 6th game 20+ points per game. I think he will be the key for the Warriors to win one more time and continue their streak. It would be a good confidence booster if they did. Still, I am betting for the Nuggets on this game.

Jokic and Gordon inside that's really a headache for the Warriors, knowing how good Jokic in terms of passing the ball or finishing the basket,
the only chance Warriors have is the firepower that they've got, but the next question is how they will execute.

Knowing how good also the Nuggets in terms of protecting the basket and they've got players who can rotate to tail both Curry and Klay.

We can only conclude once they are already playing, the way they will execute both offense and defense will be the key factor here.

We are seeing a different GSW and Denver Nuggets, if before the Warriors can dominate the Nuggets, not this after they won the championship as they already have a deep line up with the Warriors have been inconsistent despite of their win streak. It's a road game for the Warriors, they normally struggle on this situation and they'll challenge the Nuggets who are 11-2 at home, so good luck to them. I don't want myself to be hype with what the Warriors had achieve recently as I'm with the real deal here and that is the Nuggets.

The outcome of that game shows that Nuggets is really good playing at home, though Warriors maintained that short distance but they
fell short, Splash bros productions are not quite impressive.

While on the Nugget's side, Jokic and Murray as always, they are the leading scorers, and they got the help that they need from their role players.

Like what you said, it's a different Nuggets after winning the world title, still have that winning attitude.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: December 25, 2023, 03:01:31 PM
Someone should look for alternative ways that can provide additional income than asking other people to finance their gambling.

This has been diverted to the topic already. It's not the content of the topic since "financing a gambler?" means like a professional work, like a gambler has the skills but doesn't have the capital in gambling, and with that, he'll be looking for financers and they'll have an agreemnet on how they'll split up the profit in case the gambler wins, but if it goes otherwise, the gambler will have not liability, or whatsoever.
Actually, not really because if we meet a friend who asks us to finance his gambling and we can advise him to find a job so he can have money to finance his gambling. After having money from his job, he does not ask other people to finance his gambling and he is free to use his salary to gamble and to meet his living needs.

It would be better for him because he would not face the risk of returning his money to the money lender. And he also won't have problems with other people and can gamble using his own money. Hopefully, you can understand what it means.

The point is someone needs help in terms of financing his gambling activities, things that have arrangements between the person either a friend
or a relative who's asking for assistance, though still not a good idea even how good the gambler is.

Still at risk since the investment or the loan money will be used for gambling and there's no assurance that you can always win even how good
you are in terms of controlling yourself or managing your emotions and bankroll.

The outcome still unpredictable and if things didn't go well the money will disappear.

95  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea and money are very important to investment. on: December 25, 2023, 12:21:02 PM
Both idea and money are needed to establish a good business. Alot of people are out there with good business idea but lack capital to finance it. Also having money without an idea may lead to venturing into a business where one may lose all the money. It's good to have the two before starting a business. Also, having an idea with money doesn't guarantee a fruitful business, one must analyse the idea, make a good plan and a reasonable environment for the idea to make a way with such idea.

Before starting a business, it is necessary to have both the idea and the money, and someone who can manage both is needed. In some cases, even if these two are provided, they are not managed correctly.

In addition to what you said, all details should be considered, plans should be made and work should be started. Precautions to be taken against negative situations should be determined in advance and plans should be made for what is needed to expand the business.

Planning and anticipating for a possible outcome, you should have both the idea if how things will work after to set up your investment, with knowledge and money that you will going to use, the chance of making a successful journey is possible.

Though, even how good is your idea and the amount of money you've got, there's always risk if things did not execute well, it's more on how you create your time frame and what are your limitations when you start your investment to avoid making a huge mistake and lose your capital.

Trading is a job that requires you to have great skills in many areas, if you have weak knowledge in some areas, you will lose money. I believe that you can earn money in trading, perhaps not a lot of money, but very good results can be achieved by anyone who has enough patience to learn everything necessary and follow risk management.

It is not necessary to trade on futures, learn to achieve an acceptable result on the spot, and this will already be a small victory to begin with.

Once you acquired the knowledge of cryptocurrency trading, you will discover that there are some things you will see in the market during the bearing season that will make you not to rush to sell your coins than to continue buying and wait for the bullish season to come before you can trade to take income from the market. If you want to earn a huge amount of money from your trading, do everything possible to ensure you hold that coins like three or four years before you can trade to make plenty money. Well, as a newbies you can trade once the price of crypto increase little to take a profit from the market and wait again for the price to decrease before you can buy again for another bullish season to come.

Acquiring the right knowledge gives you that edge to anticipate, though it's not as accurate as it can be, but you can use it as basis before
positioning your trades.

I agree that when someone make that move during the bear season and wait till the bull season take place, the amount of possible profits is decent.

Just work with your research and study to pick the right coin to invest your money, your knowledge is your key to
find the right project to invest.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 25, 2023, 11:14:00 AM
I won't be betting in this fight. If I have to make a bet, it should go to Inoue, but it is almost not worth betting for him. With the moneyline odds of 1.04, who would grab that? Even if you go for the winning method to take advantage of higher odds, the probability is that you would go for Inoue by KO. And that's only 1.17. Even that is not worthy for me. I'd rather just watch the fight.

What I'm hoping for is that Tapales is 100% ready and that he won't be psychologically or emotionally affected by his opponent. If Tapales has 100% confidence in this fight, he will definitely be able to give a good fight. Even if he losses, at least he gives Naoya a run for his money.

There's another option if you don't want the ML odds for Inoue and you are confident that this will end in a knockout, see below. But as for me, i have a feeling that this would go the distance because Tapales is 100 percent ready for this fight and he trained for this for almost six months. So with that i'm betting that this fight would go over 7.5 @2.20.

With the hardship that he takes during that 6 months training I would say that your pick might be a good option for each pinoy fans who
believes that Tapales is ready for Inoue's attacks.

Over 6.5 is also sweet if you are not that greed as chances that Inoue will start his usual strategy during that period, though I hope Tapales will
not try to be aggressive and will engage to those exchanges of series of punches.

It can preserve his energy to last long and maybe trying to throw good numbers of converted punches may give him chances to upset Inoue.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 24, 2023, 10:17:43 PM
Who else is disappointed in Spurs? Not about their standings because it's obvious that they're one from the bottom now but about the recent actions of Wemby's teammates, Vassell, Johnson, and Sochan. This team has no superstar but the moves of these three were too obvious with Wemby. They're not passing him the ball despite his open positions and good plays that can be done. It seems that they cannot see him inside and outside the ring and they won't pass the ball.

That's not right if it wasn't out on the coach design. I mean, if the coach would say pass the ball to Wemby when he is open, they should follow it. Probably the team are just not inspired playing anymore due to their losing streak, and since everyone was focus on Wemby as their best player, they seem not liking it that only the rookie are getting popular, they'll probably just accept it if they are doing better but since they aren't I'm sure there are frustrations among players and that resulted to their bad plays.

IMO, this is just temporary, they'll fix this knowing their coach.

Knowing coach Pop, he will notice that, and it will be fixed or we will see trades that will take place, I don't like that idea personally
in terms of not passing the ball if there's a design play for Wemby.

But if coach Pop is allowing it maybe they are trying to experiment, or those players are just trying to do different things from what is the suppose plays.

Let see if there are adjustments that will be done, though Spurs chance to move forward might be slim.

I agree.

They never stop, even though they made more than enough already, that's why they ended up having nothing because of their lose streaks. It's not bad to be greedy, but sometimes it goes up in our heads, being too confident that the market will always go to our way that's why they suffered a lot of losses instead of one or few big wins in a day. They always want big leverage to flex it on social media, which make their trade vulnerable to liquidation.

Yes, there are traders who overdo their positions. Instead of making some decent but failed to stop and ended up losing them money,
positioning is very important and like what you said, being greed is not bad.

But if you don't do things the right way, you will see yourself regretting. Most of those who lose because of trying to add more with their earnings
realize this kind of mistake.

And those who manage to adopt and use the experienced to control their emotions and limit their trade earn decently.

He did try to surprise Inoue, but the opposite happened, instead of him use that strategy it was Inoue who surprised him and counter him
in any way he tried to throw his solid combination.

I also think that Donaire give that advise to Tapales to avoid mistake with his strategy, better to keep close and try to read whatever the fighting style
Inoue will use for their fight.

Though we don't really know what it is and what would be the plan for this upcoming fight, all will be reveal during thier meeting inside the ring.

Donaire realized that he did a big mistake by being too aggressive leaving him vulnerable to the counter punches of Inoue. That's why the rematch didn't really played well on the side of Donaire. Well, as we all know, Donaire had a good fight against Inoue on their first meeting, but that's all he can offer, he hit Inoue with some solid shots but the monster Inoue stil able to endure it, therefore he can't really beat Inoue using his power, so he shoudl have adjusted trying to use his height advantage and quickness, but what happened, happened, so he lost and probably career over for him.

Now, Tapales is quite young compared to Donaire, so he is more powerful, the only thing he needs to do is to conserve his energy and try to look for a one punch KO as Inoue will be very busy every round.

He needs to be patience and prevent to do the same mistake as Donaire did the last time they fight, that attempt to
be aggressive is what Inoue wants.

He's known to have that strong solid combination and with a wrong move Tapales can end with the same fate as Donaire, he needs to work on it.

If he wants to get that chance better to fight wisely and try to counter or to create points, then move away from direct confrontations.
