241  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 09, 2023, 01:10:25 PM
^  Dunno, looking at how BTC has been breaking out above resistances one after another, I don't think 40k is gonna pose much 'resisting' once it gets there.  Lol.  There could be one around 46k - 48k tho judging from how it looks on the chart.

Anyway after the first week of so, we got 22 guys voting that it's already a bull market, there are 4 guys who woke up at the wrong side of the bed and a couple of guys who don't know.m Hmmm...  At least let's hope they're exposed at least a little in this market move.
and now it is 23 mate  Grin Wink

I don't mind having sideways but now? I am concretely believing that Bitcoin will gradually hitting 40k and some says even to get 42k before it bounced back to 30k'ish level .

But 46-48k ? i think I am enough when it grows to 42k and maybe consider selling , as I have seen this happening couiple of times that after a growth before halving , mostly price will go super low .

so that means I am ready to what will do once we got there , I love the people here so much positive to what will happen.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins would you invest $ 1,000,000 in? on: November 09, 2023, 12:51:34 PM
with e million dollers, i would say 20% BTC, 15% eth, 2% memes, and 13% in 3 alt. 25% cash, 25 % gold
as you know brics will pump gold and i saw many people here opening gold store like crazy lol
I think OP is asking for Altcoins Only mate given that it was indicated in the title ?  so I guess GOLD and CASH isn't part of the choices .

and good to see that you are putting in Memecoins and Shitcoins ?

maybe better to add more for bitcoin than just putting in all you mentioned , and also have considered Binance and Ripple at least till next halving.

With that amount, I'd be extra cautious with everything, will do 50-50 in btc and ethereum and put it in hardware wallet, when it'd feel like market is significantly down and low chance for further dips, I'd convert some to stable coin and rebuy later.

I think that is better to choose Bitcoin but I guess OP's pointing completely for altcoins mate?

Parang never ko pa narining to Kabayan , but I will dig in this now parang interesanteng bagay to ah, Humahawak ng Mundo? cool
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 09, 2023, 11:57:35 AM
Your number one can be followed easily by most people or workers because usually their phones are being left on their locker before they start and there are supervisors or managers around that inspect their performance.

If you are designated in the office and you have a computer or laptop with you, the same thing happens. Then the machine that you are using might be restricted to open sites that are not related to your job. Your number two in your list is the ones that is hard to avoid. Especially now that online lending/loaning apps are born. Borrowing money has never been this easy. Despite of it, I'm thankful that I don't avail them.
That's true. And that is the same rule that we have in our company. No cell phones are allowed inside the working area. Other websites are blocked especially social media sites so that we can focus on our work only. So yes, the number 1 posted by OP can easily be followed because of those rules in our job sites.
actually I worked in Government and we are allow to use those tools but limited time only , we are also cannot access some sites that
has security issues but those are the days , when I resigned and now are allowed to do whatever I want as long as I am following the rules

and also even if we are allowed yet we must not gamble when we are at work because that will end badly for sure .

Quote
Number 2 though will not be an easy task to follow for those who made gambling their lifestyle, gambling addicts, or those who started and are already hooked on it.
Taking loans or borrowing money will be their first thought if ever they want to chase their losses, or worse they will use their savings just to satisfy their urge to play one more time. I think it will be better if we don't have access to anyone who are offering loans or we don't have a bank account or credit card so we won't have the means to do this stuff.
and that will end your life in good way , if you can borrow money to gamble then you will afford losing everything just because of this.

always remember that having a debt is truly a bad attitude so what more if you are doing this for gambling?
that shows how desperate your life is.

Nuggets -3.5 @1.93 vs Warriors

247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: November 08, 2023, 12:10:36 PM
If those who have won, especially those who have won a lot, still want to win more, they have to be prepared for loss, which can come at any time because if they decide to continue playing even though they have already won, they could experience loss. This has been experienced by many gamblers who are getting greedy with previous winnings and think that while they are still winning and getting more money, they can gamble longer than usual, which means they have a chance to win again. But that's not what happens because most gamblers who have won have to endure losses little by little until, finally, they lose all their winnings. And if that's the case, they can only regret it, but unfortunately, it's too late because they don't have any more money.
This is actually very difficult to do, because no one knows where the moment is when you can walk away with winnings at your peak. You could even call it a mind trap. If after this the loss begins, then it is like a spiral that accelerates more and more each time, dragging us in. In practice, a player usually ends up betting forever or for a long time when he has lost quite a lot. I have almost never heard of those who won a lot and left. Those who are between these two categories also continue to play until they reach one of these states. Most of it is due to greed and regret. When I bet, I always remember this.
And since no one knows where that point is then it is important to ignore it completely and instead create some easy rules you can follow about the moments in which you should stop to gamble, and once one of those moments is reached then you need to stop gambling immediately, now such a thing can be very difficult at the beginning as we are not used to do this, but it has to be done, or whenever we have some good luck we will always think about gambling even more and then lose it all once our results go back to the mean.

It should be dominated or else you will be dominated by gambling, and you will see yourself keep doing the same mistake over and over and
lead you to lose more instead of getting something out from your bet.

I see your point and if you can practice that, controlling your emotion and make sure to execute your set target when to stop when you need to stop.

Something that will help you to stay positive not just with money but more on emotional control, stopping means controlling everything
when playing the game or betting with the game you love.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 08, 2023, 11:50:25 AM
Adebayo being overshadowed but he just put up an impressive number "under the radar" against the Lakers. It's his best performance so far.
- 22 Points
- 20 Rebounds
- 10 Assists

I think the future of the Heat rest on his shoulders. He is as important to the team as Buttler so hopefully he remains consistent and produce double-double every game.
Sure he is important to the team just like last season and right now, he's technically the new captain ball of their team.

If he's going to be consistent and produce these numbers every single game although it's unlikely but at least close to this stat, it's not just going to be all about Jimmy whenever they're against with other teams.

Tomorrow, they're going to be with the Grizzlies. Lesser rest but I'm sure that he's still going to show some good numbers on that game.

Same with how important Jimmy was, Bam is another core of this squad, together they are really performing, and they are bringing
decent stats, I like the way they are sharing the floor together.

With Bam's active scoring he's really a big threat inside especially with his rebounding capabilities reminding me of how a prime Howard before.

Though Unlike Howard who dominate the scoring for the team, Bam got everyone on his back and he's really doing his part
and not after with individuality.
249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: November 08, 2023, 10:19:15 AM
Youtuber is content creator, their content is for ads purpose and audience is the product for advertising...remember, most YouTubers aren't just trying to educate their audience, they're also looking to benefit themselves. They may learn a bit about technical analysis to make their content seem more authentic. However, their predictions are often not very reliable when mixed with other data. Content creators have their own unique ways to grab the attention of their viewers, and one of them is acting like professional traders.

In my experience, YouTubers with high quality editing usually aim to attract mainstream viewers. On the other hand, YouTubers who keep their content simple with logical explanations and minimal flashy editing make more sense. Not everyone fits this pattern, but I tend to find more of these creators.

And as long as there are proficient technical analysts in this forum, it's a valuable resource for gaining knowledge from a different perspective.

That's valid in my opinion as there are creator who just sharing their knowledge and not aiming for any audiences, I mean not the way
those content creators who make their video for ads purposes.

Though it's going to be the audience itself who can determine which is which between their followed streamers who really sharing knowledge and facts.

Experienced by following and executing whatever information they've learned will conclude things out between those streamers/content creators.
250  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: November 08, 2023, 09:36:49 AM
I really want know if getting more degrees can make life financially better because I come from a country where their are no job and I have seen people that the only thing they can do in life is to read books, getting more degrees attaining all these degrees yet no still go job for them with good pay. Do think people who read in a region with slim job opportunities are doing the right thing?
Indeed, education is very important, but it is not a criterion for success. A person can make money from different source which is not related at all to his academic discipline. One thing i must say is that academic knowledge helps to manage wealth. After having all the wealth if you don't have good knowledge on calculations; simple algebraic and arithmetic, statistics and probability then it may hinder your progress. Also, if you lack communication skills and writing skills then it would be worst. So, this is the reason why educations are important for any pursuit in life.

Yes, there's an advantage when you know how to communicate well both verbally and in writings such skills give you a decent opportunity
to speak out your knowledge and can bring you to the position you like to be.

Having a degree or good education gives you that edge against those who can't afford but not necessary means that you always take the place.

As there are also people who are good in actual setup even there's no degree behind them once they are being asked to perform
they can do it without any hesitations.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 07, 2023, 11:53:41 AM
Just today, Tapales together with his promoter and their entourage are flying back to the Philippines. They are expected to have their final camp in the high-altitude mountains of Baguio. Tapales is indeed overtraining. Hopefully, he only had limited hard work when he was in LA because he also had a lot of sparring sessions there against Ancajas, Magsayo, Moton, etc. There are still around 2 months before the fight, Inoue is also expected to have started his light training. It's really interesting to see if Tapales' sacrificing a long preparation is enough to hurdle the Japanese superstar.
~snip~

I thought he was already in Baguio City  Grin. I think he's been doing only light training in the Wild Card gym of Freddie Roach because at that time when he flew to the US, the schedule of the fight was not yet definite but now that everything is already carved in stone, he could start the rigid training for this historic fight.

I think Baguio is a good choice for training since Japan is also cold in December, so no more adjusting to the weather when he flies to Japan.

Better to adopt the weather and like what you said Baguio city is one of the best place for the training. I think him and his camp are really doing all
the best that they can to bring something for his fans.

Knowing that he will be fighting one of this generation's best fighter, he needs to come out with potential that he can compete, and he can try to win and beat the monster.

Though the winning chance remain the same, but with good preparation and determination to win, we never know what fate will bring Tapales.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins important? on: November 07, 2023, 11:31:05 AM
By far the most scammed is ALT Coin. Still people are more interested in investing in these coins. While ALT coins are scams, there are some coins that are exceptions. I can only trust BNB for investment, I don't trust the rest of the coins that are out there. If there is any coin worth investing in for the long term after Bitcoin, it is BNB. Other coins are also good for investment but they are for short term for trading we can use ALT coins but for long term investment I will never choose other ALT coins.

Of course there are some altcoin that are scams, there are actually new launch coins that have potentials, that can stand the test of time if given the necessary time they needed to get a breakthrough within the market.
in as much as there are fraudulent coins out there, there are Also a lot of them that have potentials, you just have to look critically.

and the ratio might be 100:1 ironic but it's close to possibility as there are many new altcoins that being offered and created by someone which
introducing the same concept or a clear copy of existing project that hope to attract investors.

But if you are patient enough you might find good and quality project that can stand with the test of time and bring you decent amount of benefits.

It's more on how you deal with your research and how you believe with the intentions of the developers.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 07, 2023, 11:15:36 AM
Ryan Garcia shared his own prediction about the upcoming Devin Haney versus Regis Prograis fight.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWtC65indlU

He also said that Regis Prograis will be the aggressive one because Devin Haney is not the come-forward guy. We will see.

But Regis has something to say too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q28_gCfYSCc
"I'm gonna beat the f**k out of Devin Haney."
That makes the fight more interesting. I have also seen a lot of predictions that this fight will go long up to 12 rounds but considering how emotions are overwhelming between the two boxers, it might really become a fight with someone lying on the mat or a TKO in the end.
He said he had been busting his ass and grinding. I hope we will see that in the ring.

What do you guys think?
The odds are still unchanged. Prograis @3.65 and Haney @1.26.
I am waiting for the odds of KO, Decision, and Round Pick on when it will end. I hope the offers will be decent.

I wouldn't exactly trust Ryan Garcia's wisdom after he picked Rolly Romero to beat Tank Davis. In this case he is just going along with what everybody else has already said. Haney winning a decision is the consensus opinion.

I do think those odds are a bit lopsided. Prograis is an underdog but he has the kind of power that can shift the balance in his favor at any moment. Haney's power wasn't respected at lightweight, in a higher weight class this will be even more of a challenge. His defense will have to be perfect to achieve the outcome most are expecting.

Yup, Prograis might be an underdog, but his power can be a game changer once he starts to throw those solid punches and convert I think
Haney will have a big problem countering him.

Though, Haney is a known defensive fighter if he will manage to keep his distance and not to allow Prograis to convert the chance of winning is with him.

Closing the fight in the decision and scoring statistically Haney might take this fight against Prograis.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 07, 2023, 10:59:56 AM
Learning and applying some things at an early age always brings advantages. Some of us learn this from our families, some of us learn it through our own efforts. But the important thing is to be able to apply this knowledge we have learned. If we can apply it, then we will be a more financially conscious individual.

Sometimes life may not give us what we want. That's why we shouldn't say things like "you should have done or achieved these things by a certain age." Of course, everyone wants a good future and strives for it, but the results may not always be good and they may not achieve their goal.

Age is an important factor in financial stability, but age is not always a criterion. We can progress successfully in every field at any age.
Many things that have become a person's way of thinking cannot be separated from the influence of their environment, and the biggest role is the family in forming thought patterns from an early age.
Regarding the knowledge that we gain when we grow up, it is a continuous process with what we have been instilled in since childhood.

In life we have to work hard but not everyone who works hard will reap the same results, and in my opinion there is no standard at what age we will get financial stability because everyone has a different life, be it lifestyle or dependents in life, so I think it is very unfair for us to compare or set age limits for achieving success or financial stability.

True, there are many factors that effects one person's success either the environment or the people who surrounds him, there's no age
and there's no specific definition the only thing is how determine the person and how he will find the right path to achieve.

Having the right mindsets and continuing to find the best way to be financially stable rely on how you work with your fate, the journey will continue and
until you figure things out then you will attain the success that you are aiming to reached.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 07, 2023, 03:16:29 AM
It looks like the Dame Lillard move to the Bucks doesn't go well early this season. They had way better defensive and offensive ranking last season with Jrue Holiday in the roster.
Dame is one of the worse defender, but he could be an offensive weapon, but it has not translated to their current standing yet. It's kind of interesting because Jrue Holiday has the best offensive rating and the best team currently. Let's who really wins this trade lol.

They took the risk because they wanted to further increase their revenue with Dame in their team and many more things to consider like becoming a huge threat in the Eastern Conference once again but this time they didn't speculate well because while they were doing the trade, the other teams are fixing their roster as well and it will gonna took a long time for Dame and others to have a high chemistry in order to play well and become a playoffs team again.

They took the risk as Giannis is also threatening them if the management will not give him something that may bring the team to another
championship level, Dame in paper got a good number.

But you are right so far, it's not being translated yet and they are not giving the fans the entertainment that they would love to see after acquiring Dame.

Though it's too early and there are many things that can happen while the whole team are working with their good chemistries and team works.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 06, 2023, 10:46:45 AM
Lakers lost in dramatic fashion, nearly 20 point difference. They really need other players to step up, Lebron and AD alone can't do that much, Austin tried a bit this time around but that didn't really worked out that well for him neither considering they still lost. Inefficiency of the players when Lebron is not around could be their biggest problem, when he is on the floor, even if he doesn't play that well (although he plays well) at least he gets the defenders on him, 35 points just last game, 24 here, and I think the point is that when defenders are on him, others have easier shot selection.

But when he is not around, everyone plays terrible, because they are not aware of what they should do, and end up shooting contested terrible shots. I think it should be noted down that the yare not careful about what they are doing without him, and the coach needs to figure out a way to make them understand how they should play when he is not on the floor.

Didn't the Lakers lose this game like 24 hours before your post?  Grin
Well, it's obvious they have some issues but don't underestimate teams like the Magic. They have a very strong up and coming young core with a lot of potential.
In my opinion on a good day they can beat pretty much anybody.

Plenty of teams now have a young core, teams like the Magic, the Rockets and so on might look like an easy win but they surprise more and more often. Also they have a bright future, such as OKC and even the Jazz.

Detroit on the other hand, even though being on a rebuild for who knows how long somehow still can't get anything together so it seems.

Banchero and Wagner both are young and talented if the core will continue playing with good chemistries it's no impossible that they can be
a contender in the near future, so far what we are seeing is a good team that have that trust with each other.

Just looking forward to see that the managements and the coaching staff will continue to keep them and let them grow with one another.

Though too early for concluding that kind of win against the Lakers is something that may boost the whole squad to work harder
and win more against super team from this league.
257  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 06, 2023, 10:14:09 AM
Financial stability includes factors like having a reliable income, savings, investments... it's how we become prepared for some unexpected challenges. So I think there is no financial stability without psychological maturity. And we all know that some people grow up faster than others, and some people never grow up.

I guess we can't say that there is some fixed age for financial stability. It depends on our life goals, careers, and choices. Some people find stability in their early/late ages... It's not about age, it's about when someone figures out how to manage money wisely.

Yeah right, there's no right age but there are factors that we need to consider as we are always facing different cases in our life, like what you
said, there are people who find their stability late in their life but there are also young minds who manage to enjoy stability at a very young age,

people who know how to acknowledge the challenges in life and manage how to work on it and enjoy whatever financial sources that they have been through.

Not all have the same fate but through dedication and the goal to achieved there's always potential that you will be able to gain that aimed stability.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 06, 2023, 09:56:41 AM

Do you change already your destiny by doing it? I’d rather bet on a lotto rather than copy someone bet because it will give me much better profit potential in case my extreme luck hit me.

I really don’t want to copy someone suicide bet because that is their own entertainment pick which doesn’t give me the same excitement since I’m not the one who pick it. I understand what you are trying to achieve since I’m lazy sometimes but I’m not a big believer of this kind high multiplier bets.

It depends on what op is betting for. Betting has the primary purpose of winning and profiting to multiply your staked money and I think that would be the focus of multiple bets, if op was betting specifically for entertainment then he would only bet few games and watch them for his entertainment.

So what are you betting for? Do you bet to be entertained alone or you bet to get some profit along side. If you are betting for profit which I believe majority of gamblers and addict do then entertainment is out of it including watching the games becomes in consequential.

There's some weight in terms of making your own decision, copying someone's bet might bring good luck if the timing is right but there's no
guarantee as you are inside gambling and there's no one who can assure you that by copying the picks will let you win with them.

Though, like what you mentioned, if betting is purely for fun maybe copying is an option depending to how a gambler thinks about the selection of bets.

But in terms of making money, where we know that it needed a good analysis with the types of games to bet with.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: November 06, 2023, 09:38:26 AM
Don't think about it too much. "the house will always win" keep this in your mind.
The house will always win not because it's luckier than you, not because it has thrown some sort of spells. No, they will always win because they see prepared. You can't convince me, sorry. To stay safe, just gamble what you can afford to lose or stay away from gambling.
That's right, the house edge doesn't let the house lose in the long run. When a gambler is losing, the house is winning, but when a gambler is winning, the house is still winning in the long run because of the house edge, and there is no way one can reduce their losses in gambling, no strategy, no plan, nothing at all can save one from incurring losses, so as you said, the only way one can stay safe from gambling is to either stay away or have a limit for their bankroll that they can lose for a certain period.

However, most gamblers don't understand simple facts, they also don't learn from the experiences of others, all they think of is getting rich through gambling which we all know isn't something that happens with everyone and only a very small percentage of people in the whole world become lucky enough to achieve that through gambling.
Agree. When you gamble the casino always has a small advantage which means they'll make money in the long run. Even when a gambler wins occasionally the casino still comes out ahead overall. To stay safe, it's important to set a limit on how much you're willing to lose, because there's no guaranteed strategy to win in the long term. Most people who gamble don't realize this and hope to get rich but that rarely happens.

Yeah the money that you're going to earn is from other gamblers who lose their money, occasionally you may win some decent amount
but if you will be force by adrenaline and the lust inside you.

Just count a few hours or days then you may return and lose everything back to the house, it's better to have that limit and not to exceed

to stay safe and to stay being entertained and not to stress yourself when losing you money.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why meme coins are trending? on: November 04, 2023, 06:00:57 AM
Meme Coin are trending to keep cryptocurrency market worming up for Bull Run market, and the game is in your hand to play, because when the bull run fully started, some of the meme coin's will be nowhere to be find. One have to be careful about memo coin.

The game is in your hand to join or to keep yourself away from this kind of investment. There's a lot of risk to embrace, though
there's also a chance to earn if you manage to invest in the right time and right project.

But, if by chance you failed to follow the right project, then expect to lose a lot and there's nothing you can blame with your mistake aside from your ownself.

Trending is because of hypes and those people behind, but then again, it's you who will decide whether to join or not.
