301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: October 23, 2023, 04:28:51 AM
~snip~
It comes down to what people would consider as being successful. I’ve come across a good number of people who, over the years has had some big wins. Having won substantial amounts overtime that would make losses look insignificant, I would consider them successful in gambling.

Obviously, the number of people considered successful are very small compared to the rest. But I think a lot of people who would be considered successful do not always make their winnings and losses public as it’s more or less a personal issue.

Stories of huge wins won by an average player, can be very motivating for others.

The main issue with anecdotes like that is that most people will happily share their big wins, but will never make their big or even medium or small loses public.

The most probable scenario of someone that made a big win is that they have put even more money into the casino in the long term.

Being ahead of the casino is extremely rare, and stopping forever after that is even more rare.

I go with that last statement being ahead of the casino is something that rarely happen, both good control with emotions and
knowledge with the game you pick, not just basic but advance that really give that huge edge.

Also true, that there are gamblers who are sharing their big wins but not the amount that they already lose with their gambling activities.

Most of the time, stopping when you are both enjoying and winning is the way to lose everything back and make you regret after.
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 23, 2023, 04:12:38 AM
Bad news for the Grizzlies just as the season is about to kick off. Their center Steven Adams is having knee surgery and will be out for the entire year. This is especially bad in my opinion because the Grizzlies have issues and Steven Adam’s is a great person with a lot of influence over his teammates and I think a big part of the reason he’s on that team is to keep Ja Morant in check.

I saw this news earlier and I feel bad for the big guy because he could been a big help to them because they needed him as their center, thankfully this is just the start of the season and they could easily fill that position right now. Or their bench players will have a chance to shine because they will be given more minutes right now. He will still be there giving support for the team on the bench and advising them always.

When it comes to moral support for his teammates, I think he's really big on that. However, it's clear that he's not the same player he used to be on the court. I mean, it's evident in his performance over the last two seasons with Memphis – his numbers have significantly dropped compared to when he was still playing with OKC. It's sad news, but I don't think it'll have a huge impact on the team since they have younger bigs who could step up and fill the gap left by their "Aquaman" in the paint.

I'm hoping he can make a strong comeback, and that Ja Morant won't make any foolish moves that could derail their good run. It's a fresh start for Memphis, and I still believe they're a playoff-caliber team, even without Dillon Brooks.

I also think that in terms of numbers and minutes inside the court they've got players who can fill the gap, though his presence as veteran
and as one of those go-to guys who will always be at the back of his teammates, his presence gives an additional boost.

We might see adjustments for them and just to add up regarding to Ja's possible performance I'm hoping that DRose may influence
him in terms of being humble inside and outside the court.

Just show your skills and talents thru stats and not with outspoken words that's not really necessary to prove that you are one of the best.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 22, 2023, 01:37:00 PM
A few days of rest before the official start of the NBA regular season. So it seems like almost all of the teams are ready except for those rebuilding teams and the unstable Philadelphia 76ers who still have Harden but made a personal excuse to leave its training camp.

The start of the season always excites me as teams will try their best to start strong. It enables them to observe if they need some trades before the deadline and necessary adjustments.

As we've seen, Victor Wembanyama is NBA-ready and so is Chet Holmgren although the latter seems to have better teammates so the stats might favor the former. But it will be very interesting to see these 2 giant prospects.

Yeah, and they are going to fight for the Rookie of the Year award this season. Chet Holmgren didn't play last season, so this is his first year and so with that him and Wemby is vying for that title. But I guess the hype is no longer on Chet, and others says that he is overrated. But we will see. OKC is also featured a lot of young talents as well and I think as compare to the Spurs they are much better with SGA.

But I think Wemby will shine more just like what we are seeing in the pre-season games. He perhaps has given us a glimpse of what the future will be for him and the San Antonio Spurs. But assuming that both of them will be healthy this season? I think Wemby will have the edge for the ROTY award.

Both are complete package as Chet also have that good capability to be a 2-way player just the same with Wemby, but stats wise the main
gunner of Spurs will be Wemby while with OKC Chet will be a second option, as SGA will remain as their main alpha.

Winning ROTY is still favorable with Wemby unless something happened or some good adjustments will take place in the side of OKC.

If SGA will use that height advantage of Chet and become the facilitator and not just the main gunner, which can be done since they are
all young and they can still build good chemistries playing together as a team.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: October 22, 2023, 12:45:59 PM
But that is the thing though, since she already know that you are into gambling, maybe she will nag you to stop about it. And so it's really up to you on how you are going to respond about it. Whether you are in serious relationship, or that you are already together, married and have kids. It's really important that you make the right decision so that you can keep the relationship. So it's going to be a dilemma for that gambler and it's a very hard decision to make.
Why do you say dilemma, family interests are more important than everything and the decision is certain that we have to stop gambling without any consideration, if it is related to other problems it can still be communicated to continue gambling based on the rules and limits in gambling, but if the demands of my partner and children ask me to stop gambling then I have to make decisions for my family.

Everyone will respond with different opinions regarding the above issues, but family issues should take priority over gambling, they may hide their gambling activities from their partner or reduce their time for gambling.

Just the same with your argument, there are different opinions and we can't really tell if how a person will respond to this kind of situation,
most of the time if a person is already attached with a carry addiction.

Something that you can't resist. Most of the time, it ruins the relationship between family not alone with the wife or your partner but also those other
people that surround you.

But I go with what you said, prioritizing your family and not to let gambling to dominate you.
305  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the pump coming? on: October 22, 2023, 12:16:52 PM
I've experienced it when ppl say bitcoin's failing. They don't understand how it works because they're disappointed when it doesn't make money like they've foresaw. If they'd invested with clear sight they'll see short selling doesn't always work it's about long time possibilities so you'll have to sell later to amass profits.

I think people are too quickly claiming things against Bitcoin. I have trader friends that lately bought Bitcoin and tried to make money over it. When I was discussing with them, they kept claiming Bitcoin is dying, Bitcoin is failing etc. I think short term traders don't understand nature of Bitcoin so when they buy and wait, they are like they MUST make money through it OR it's fail. Average trader isn't aware how long term project Bitcoin is.
If the market turned against them, they think like that, always assuming that they fully understand the situation, but once something went
wrong then, that's the beginning of regretting their investment.

Most of them who do short-term trading mostly lost their money, fear of the volatility and are unable to handle the pressure of holding while
the market is still unclear.

Better to buy when you are fully sure if what your plan is not just for the current situation but also if there're unexpected circumstances.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2023, 04:09:27 PM
Speaking of the Warriors, Wemby had a pretty nice highlight tonight swatting Klay Thompson and then getting a monster dunk on a fast break the other way. It was impressive.
Like what people are saying on social media, is he an alien? A few more years and development of his muscle, he's gonna be an absolute beast inside the court.

Yeah he is. I think the Spurs tanking for the season last year has paid off. Though some people has doubt this kid's ability in the NBA, but I don't think he's a bust. With that height and skills he'd be unstoppable in the next 2-3 years.
Imagine buffing himself up just like how Giannis buffed himself, he'd definitely be unstoppable a little better than the freak of nature.
Now, the next step for the Spurs is to build a team around Wemby and surely they'll be back in the playoff picture again.

If by chance he will gain that strength the way Giannis develops his ability, Wemby is more dangerous with the skills like that he can play you with
or without the ball with a solid percentage of converting the basket.

I will agree with what you said, Spurs needs to work on adding players who will help this kid, individual talent he got what they needed from him
but it's a team game they need to surround him with good and reliable supporting stars the way they provide in the time of Duncan.

Having Robinson and the whole squad at the beginning and having both Parker and Manu in the last part of their journey.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: October 20, 2023, 05:10:12 PM
Yup, Inoue's power punches can bring Tapales to kiss the canvass just like how Donaire ends his rematch against the monster.
like what you said, it's tough to find the right strategy, but he Tapales needed that.

For now, the delay of the schedule will give him time to prepare and to continue working with whatever his camp thinks that will help him.

Something that may allow him to stand out and surprise Inoue. Whatever it is or whatever strategy may it be, he needs to build that
confidence as in overall stats, Inoue really got a far advantage.

ATM, Tapales is busy with his training and last time i've heard is that he is in Baguio City and he is tapping Vincent Astrolabio as his main sparring partner, this is a big help for Tapales since Astrolabio is also a world-class boxer. Tapales is known to adjust to whatever style his opponent may bring so I think Inoue might be surprised if what they saw on tape might be different from actual.

Though not official rumors had it that this fight would take place on December 26, right after Christmas Day.

Tapales needs to give it his all in what's the most significant fight of his boxing career. Perhaps Inoue is underestimating him, but Tapales should use that as motivation to work even harder and prove that he's a world-class fighter. I can't even fathom how Japanese fans would react if their beloved hero were to be knocked out by an underrated champion.

Personally, I think it's within the realm of possibility, but when I set aside my Filipino bias and look at it objectively, my gut feeling is that Inoue might secure an easy knockout. However, I don't want to undermine Tapales' dedication and effort. He's working relentlessly for what's undoubtedly the most challenging battle of his career, and I'll wholeheartedly support him.

I also can't imagine how the fans will react if they see their hero kissing the floor and suffered from a unexpected KO, though Tapales chance
is really low but I like what you mentioned about being motivated and try upsetting Inoue.

In this sport, we all know that it's not impossible for the heavy favorite to lose the fight, just a single solid lucky punch that converts
Tapales road to win will take his name on top!
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 20, 2023, 05:00:17 PM
He needs to make it his team and use every opportunity to make them realize that they throw the wrong player out.
He couldn't have done that; the Warriors made a well-thought-out decision. If only Poole had a strong playoff performance last season, he probably wouldn't have been traded. Unfortunately, he showed the opposite of what he displayed during their championship run, and that left the team with no choice but to trade him.

It seems like both sides are content, and it appears to be a win-win situation.

A single season of bad performance in the playoffs is usually not a ground for a team to trade or let go of someone they believe is a potential. There should be something not told in public by the Warriors' management. Or it could be that they saw CP3 as a golden opportunity more than Poole hence the trade.

Fans are divided on the trade but it is what it is. This is a blessing in disguise for Poole to show what he is as a player since the Wizards do not have a superstar. We'll find out soon if he is a superstar potential or just a support type of player.

The reason for this seems rather evident – the altercation between Poole and Green was a major factor in Poole not feeling fully embraced by the Warriors as part of the family. Perhaps it was Poole's own decision to not give his all during the playoffs, forcing the Warriors to consider trading him. It's hard to take Poole's playoff struggles at face value when he's reportedly at 100% health. There must be a deeper reason for his performance issues that won't heal as long as he remains with his old team. It's a relief that he's been let go, and hopefully, time will heal those wounds.

Maybe Poole sees that with the splash bro existence he won't be able to make it as the main alpha, so the trade will give him that
opportunity to become one and fulfil his goal.

Though that fight against Green is still the main factors of the trade, or maybe there's something behind that will come out, remember
the time where KD and Green also have some issue, but it was being cleared when KD accept the interview of Green from his podcast channel.

Coming in with the intention to have fun and make withdrawals if we are lucky with getting lucky regardless of the amount is better. I say it's not a real win if you can't enjoy the winnings. Yes it seems that you are too serious and too carried away my friend, it is like that if you are too serious then without realizing it you are very likely to fall into the trap of addiction. Right, so the point is whatever the amount of your winnings you better enjoy it, it's better to prevent than treat because it's just a matter of luck.
Exactly. but emotions often trap us in wanting more. It's not just greed that makes us want to get more, sometimes there is a target because we want to buy something and hope to use money from the winnings. However, this often makes it easier for us to lose everything, because setting this target may never be achieved from gambling. If we think carefully, this winnings can be used to at least partially pay for what we are going to buy. But the reality is often the opposite, in fact we always expect more when our emotions are no longer stable enough to play because we are thinking the current winning is closed to the target. if the bad season come, we can lose from here.

Yup! thinking wisely is better than trying that hard to achieve a goal. It's not easy to complete that target, as there are many factors that
may lead you to lose everything.

Better to stop while you still have that winning and, like you mentioned, you can use what you have to be a partial payment and try to pay the remaining
of maybe if luck permits, try to play again after pausing for a while.

You never know what luck may bring you, but for that instance, never to allow greed to push forward. Use your instinct to quit and enjoy with
something that you win.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 19, 2023, 05:23:12 PM

But if there is no internet, children cannot do the online assignments their teachers give. This is a dilemma bute it all depends on how parents can educate their children well. And today's children watch YouTube more often, and many things are inappropriate for them to watch. As parents, they should be able to filter what they watch for their children so that they don't see inappropriate things.

We don't know what the future holds for our children, but at least by setting clear boundaries about what they watch and don't, we can make them understand it. And if they are adults, they can filter what they watch for themselves and won't make the wrong choice.

I agree with this. But in contrast to your statement that without internet the children cannot do their homework, well, they can. Only if there's an accessible public library in the area where they reside. They can use the books for free if their city has one and permits so. Although it will be such a shame if it has none because not everytime we have internet to rely on and not everyone is privileged enough to have gadgets and net connection. But that's another story. Going back, children can use internet as long as they will be carefully supervised by their parents or guardian.

It is the duty of the parents to monitor their children's reach on the Internet because they should be the role model of their own kin. Blocking certain websites such as those with explicit contents and gambling contents can help, to avoid the kids being involved at a young age in gambling.

You're right, it really helps if the adds, websites and anything else related to gambling are blocked, but I don't think that's enough.

For me, we can't really prevent them from knowing about gambling, it's better to give them an idea of how harmful gambling is for children so they don't try it anymore.

Giving your children the idea once curiosity arises inside their young minds is good. This is to alarm them if what are the things that
can happen if they will engage themselves in gambling.

Though, with their young minds, they are still relying on their parents, and what they are witnessing can give them the idea that things are just okay.

Better not to play if you are engaged in gambling while your kids are around, best recommendation as it will not give them
anything that might trigger that interest inside their minds.

Win or lose, walang problema.

312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 19, 2023, 04:12:41 PM
What do you think of this Spurs' line up?
- Wembanyama (7-4) C/F 19yrs - Jeremy Sochan (6-8) F 20yrs - Zach Collins (6-11) C/F 25yrs - Devin Vassell (6-5) F/G 23yrs - Keldon Johnson (6-5) F/G 24yrs

If we look at how well they played in the NBA Pre-season they performed excellently both offensively and defensively. Especially Wembenyama, who scored an impressive 19.3 points per game in only 20 minutes average per game. They lost by only 1 point to OKC, which also has a young lineup. I doubt they'll make the playoffs this year because their lineup hasn't changed from last season. I think they'll only win 20-30 games this season.

But I still believe Wembenyama has a better chance of winning the Rookie of the Year award than Chet Holmgren.

We can't conclude what might be for us in the future, both the fate of Spurs and Chet that will be concluded after they perform in the
regular season, I guess nobody knows what will happen.

Unless Chet suffered for another injury or Wemby and the rest of those rookies will perform better than him.

though there's nothing wrong with your opinion as it can happen since Spurs is composed of young players and experienced wise
aside from coach Pop, they don't have that number in terms of stats.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 18, 2023, 02:21:02 PM
I want to pose a question that I believe is quite expensive for many of us here, and it's a dilemma most of us can relate to. We all know that gambling is a game where we put our luck to the test. However, there's a crucial moment in every gambler's journey. the moment when you hit that big win. Do you cash out and savor your victory, or do you continue playing in hopes of even bigger winnings?

I've often wondered how many of us can truly stop playing when we are ahead. It's a challenge because the allure of winning more can be irresistible. I've witnessed situations where a friend deposited money into a casino, faced losses, and just when he was on the brink of frustration, he struck a significant win. Did he stop playing? No, he left his winnings in the casino, only to lose it all again.
So, I ask you all, what would you do when you finally make that big win? Would you cash out immediately to enjoy your winnings, or would you keep playing in the hopes of an even more substantial prize? Shocked
I don't leave my winning in the casino or gambling platform and I don't get carried away by increasing my wager. Whenever I win, I always withdraw most of my funds out of the casino, leaving a smaller budget that I used for gambling. I don't allow the winning to drive me crazy into playing more often or without caution, thereby incurring more losses and losing my funds. Nothing changes, I stake the same wager amount and maintain the same gambling budget. With this disciplinary measures, I don't give back the casino the money I won and I do put most of it into good use.

Good discipline as it's very important that you know how you should react each time you manage to make a good win, better to stop
or transfer your balance to avoid being tempted to keep playing back.

Most of the time, that temptation will push you to play more and the outcome will be not favoring you and instead having some decent money to
win you will end up losing everything, including the amount that you deposit and you left your self empty handed.

Check this link tiktok link from DZBB

315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 18, 2023, 11:45:18 AM
^Yes, I remember that when HBO announces that they are living the boxing business for good. They have been reducing their budget and the reasons is the declining viewership. However, I think Stephen Espinoza of HBO then went to Sho after that and I thought it's all good. But I will speculate that it's the same reason though, maybe the overhead cause from business perspective is too big for even a company like Sho and obviously they are not making money out of the last 5 years after HBO department as their competitor. And for sure, there are people that are going to lose their jobs because of this bad news for the boxing industry. Yes, we still have DAZN and ESPN, or many a new company that will take over the cable viewership for boxing's biggest sporting event.

Bad news and for sure there are people who will be affected after this, though there's no option as the company needs to balance their expenses
against the income that possible to come up and see if what will be the best option.

They pick to close out or to move forward taking it out from their network, I guess it will affect those people who loves watching PPV though most of
the time now there are online platforms that will offer it illegally.

316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: October 18, 2023, 11:00:35 AM
This starts by setting a budget and sticking religiously to it no matter what happens. What most gamblers miss is that they don't know their odds/chances when they are gambling in any casino, they should know that although it is completely random a spin in slot machines for example and completely independent from each other they should also take into consideration that the max win for example falls once in 15 billion spins and by reading this they should immediately release that chances to lose here are extremely high while chances to win are extremely low.For me this should be enough to stop some amount of gamblers from gambling, they simply fail to read or research what I wrote here.
This means that before we start gambling, we must have clear boundaries in setting a budget and trying to reduce the use of the budget so that we don't overdo it. When we start gambling, we also have to be careful in determining the bet amount and only place the bet amount that we can afford and not increase the bet amount no matter what happens so that we can prevent large losses. By continuing to maintain these limits, we will not experience many losses, we can also enjoy the gambling game and there is no desire to gamble excessively just because we want to chase the win. We will think that win will come by itself and we don't need to try hard to get it because the more we chase, the more curious we will be. And when our curiosity gets bigger, we can lose the self-control we have used since the beginning of gambling.

If you have the settings and you can manage to keep that intact and not to exceed on it then enjoyment or entertainment can be filled out, while
if you are chasing either for a big win or to recover the money that you already lose along the way.

The chance that you will lose a lot more in the process can take place, more on self-will and good discipline to prevent making big mistakes

It's all on you and how you react to any outcome that you got while inside the gambling vicinity.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: October 18, 2023, 10:20:02 AM
I'm from Nigeria, and what we usually use here is debit card, though there are very few number of persons that have credit card, but what is in general use is debit card, and you cannot make purchase if you don't have funds in it, on like credit card that gives you a leverage to still make purchase even if you don't have money at that moment, pending when you will paid your salary, so you could pay back your debt. So when I tell you that casino companies or bet sites, don't give us that leverage of credit card usage, I'm not exaggerating, because it's a real situation here.
Using a debit card to gamble also risks losing large amounts of money. People need to insert their debit card to deposit money and they can start playing. And if they lose and lose all their money, they can deposit another amount directly from their debit card. And that's where problem after problem will arise and they will start losing more money on their debit card than they could ever imagine.

Using a credit or debit card will not allow you to make money but you could lose all the money. And if you use a credit card, you will have to pay a very large bill if you continue to deposit money to gamble. And that has happened to many people so they have to be careful when using their money to gamble.

Both have that risk but comparing to credit card once you already empty your debit card then you are done and there's nothing you can do but
to move forward and accept that bad luck that happens to you.

Unlike with credit card, after you maximize your limit the after effect is to find ways to pay your debt and most of the time since you already
attached too much into gambling, the source of money might be risked back to continue playing.

Meaning to say that instead of paying your debt, you will use the money and you will lose it all the way.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 18, 2023, 10:04:42 AM
Lillard is still struggling in the preseason. In the game against OKC, they lost by 23 points, even after winning two big games earlier. He's shooting 2-11 and only managed to score 5 points in 24 minutes of play. I don't know anymore; it really feels like the system is taking a toll on his stats. His three-point shooting has been really off, with no makes out of 5 attempts.

The Bucks need to sort this out early since the regular season hasn't even kicked off. Hopefully, they'll find a way to get the old Lillard back and make some major adjustments if needed. After all, they brought Lillard in for a reason, and if they can't maximize his potential, I'm worried they might end up with the same fate as last season in the playoffs, or maybe even worse.
I don't believe he is completely comfortable playing with this team and the other players just yet. So this feeling out period is still needed because those numbers are quite poor to say the least for the amount of money they paid for him.
Seeing him in green just didn't feel right to me as I was a Blazers fan and will always see him in red.
Will wait and see next week if things will improve when the regular season kicks off on the 24th.

His buddy CJ was doing pretty well with the Pelicans. It would be a pity to see Lillard struggle with the Bucks, considering he's one of their main players, at least based on his salary. The Bucks needed someone like him, so there were high expectations when they got Lillard. But his numbers aren't all that impressive. I could understand if it was just one game, but it's not. In their game against the Lakers, he also only shot 3-10, though he finished with 14 points.

Let's compare his performance this preseason, which is pretty poor when you look at his overall performance last season with the Blazers, where he finished with a 46% field goal percentage. Now, in these last two games, if we combine them to get an average, it's only 24% – very low! Is it not 'Dame time' yet? Grin

I will react if that will be the same performance during the regular season. I think they are just letting him to find his comfort zone,
Giannis and the rest of the squad will be there for him.

With the same goal, winning the title, bringing Dame in hope that they will be more competitive. This coming is really expected by the fans.

We never know what will be the strategy here. They just go for whatever will be the outcome during this pre-season and will be back
strong when the regular season begins.

Watching these YouTuber 'technical analysts' is like witnessing a comedy show. They just scribble lines on a Bitcoin chart and act like they're gazing into a crystal ball. But the reality is, they're about as accurate as a broken clock – right only twice a day. It's laughable how they sell this snake oil, predicting the future with squiggly lines. I wouldn't bet a Satoshi on their so-called insights!

Well depends on the video you are watching, There are a lot of sources right now on the internet and one of these is YouTube you can watch how the YouTuber or the content creator creates their content how to make a trade, learn how to trade and what are the trips and tricks in making trading. Just gain knowledge, and copy their trading style if you think suitable to them but availing of their exclusive contents like learning is on your choice not as always its ideal to follow because sometimes it's part of their market manipulations. You can learn more with the experience and try to analyze every mistake you made this helps you to become more efficient trader.

You can learn from them as time goes by and you already step your foot inside the trading business. The more knowledge you have, the more chances
that you will learn different combinations of patterns.

It's your edge being well-equip when placing your position. It's tough to anticipate and like what you have said, there are many tutorial resources that
you can read and watch online to gain deeper understanding if how this business works and how you may take advantages of those.

Take time to learn even you think that the videos are more with content that the creator wanted to gain viewers. There's still something
that you can take and learn from it.

How will you feel if someone you know or just a friend of a friend walk up to you and ask you to finance them in gambling in exchange for a portion of their winnings? Does this even make any sense?

What i will first ask the person is that what if he looses, how will a make my recovery back from him, gambling is not what we do with hundred percent assurance that we must win, i can only accept his offer when he also have a physical asset to use as stake should in case he didn't win, but despite this, i still don't think it's a good practice to encourage someone in doing this at all, gambling is not done by force, we gamble when we think we needed fun and have money for doing that.

Not a good way to support, gambling is not a venue in tolerating a friend, better to invest if it's a business that a friend is asking for some money
to put up or start up capital to establish a good business.

But if it's a gambling, I mean if it's something like casino base or sports betting better not to encourage, especially if it's a friend who's asking to
lend money to invest in.

No assurance that he can repay or he can give that portion of winning to you, no one can have that 100% sure win always has that big risk behind.
