381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: September 29, 2023, 04:43:51 PM
If you let it affect your relationship, yes.

The thing is that this type of discussion only comes up when you either took it out of the line and gambled against your partner's wishes, or you're falling into gambling addiction and it's starting to take a toll on your relationship. Either way you recognize that there's a problem, and you pretty much know what the solution is. I don't go against partners that are not happy with their husbands/wives gambling. For one, it's true that there are other ways for you to find catharsis and relaxation if the only thing you're looking for is entertainment and thrill anyway, another would be the fact that gambling shouldn't even warrant a serious discussion between you two. If it comes to that point you're pretty much fucked and you either have to choose between keeping up with your addiction, or staying within the relationship.
If you cross your limits in gambling, obviously it will sure to create an effect on a relationship. That’s the problem with most of the die hard gamblers because they seem to be uncontrolled when it comes to fighting their urge from gambling. Except for those who know how to deal with gambling risks and has develop discipline from it, maintaining their relationship with their partners in life would be easy to handle.

Yes, as even it's just a small percentage of those gamblers who can create or set their limits, it's still possible to see those who have a good
balance with relationships and finances.

As long as it's not affecting your financial capabilities and you have that good and manageable habits when playing the game.
chances are both enjoyment and some money to make when you manage that discipline and able to work it out in each gambling session
that you joined.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 28, 2023, 03:43:23 PM
I think it's simply that the parties find a voice in using the service with each other. One time while accidentally using it during lunch, I accidentally turned on a channel with content introducing online gambling.
At that time, people claimed that in convenient times they could advertise anything, but children didn't care much, so sometimes we were afraid of the problem of accessing information in the next generation, but It seems that it is just an objective view. Wishing good things for everyone, I believe that as long as the product is suitable for the age content, it will be interesting for them to appear a lot.

At what age do you think the kids should learn about gambling games?
I did learn to gamble when I was a kid playing cards with friends and scratch cards. It isn't really serious money as they were just dimes. It still developed our social life as a kid but this is the time when we don't have internet yet.

This time around the kids can download apps and can find out how to make money online which they will be interested in once they need money. I wouldn't be surprised if they sign up on onlyfans and that would be more disturbing.

Yes, with the easy access to the internet, kids can easily learn how to play. If interest catches their attention, they can just watch tutorials
from social platforms and start playing, we can't deny the fact that even the emerging technology really helps to update our life.

But there are always other side effects of this system, without proper guidance and without that closeness to your children. It's not by far that
their young minds can be corrupted and lead them to an early addiction problems.
383  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PhilHealth under siege: US$300,000 ransom set by Medusa ransomware group on: September 28, 2023, 02:57:27 PM

dapat pag aksayahan ng senado or kongreso itong issue na to'

384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: September 28, 2023, 02:31:09 PM
For example, you have a 10x salary and you wanted to allocate 10 percent of it, that is, 1x, to gambling and its derivatives. You can allocate it, of course, because you cannot get the excitement and pleasure you get here elsewhere. With that 1x budget, you will have to live until the next salary if you are entering such a limitation.Otherwise, when you exceed this limit and play with a higher percentage, it means that you are slowly becoming addicted to gambling. You can divide the 1x money you allocate into 4 weeks. Thus, you can bet on matches for 4 weeks and you will not lose in 1 week, at worst.
You can use this method to set the allocation and we know that setting the allocation will depend on how much salary budget we receive. We cannot exceed the budget limit that we have set for gambling because we have other life needs that we must fulfill. And if you have set a budget limit for gambling, you must stick to it and not exceed it for any reason because it is for your own good. And if you have lost today, you don't need to continue gambling because that will reduce the portion of your gambling budget and you have to recalculate your financial position. We should keep trying to follow the rules that we have made to avoid various problems that might arise later. And so that we also don't experience gambling addiction if we continue to break the rules that we have made.

If you can stick with what you setup and continue to follow your budget and not to exceed will give you the entertainment and enjoyment
that will not affect your finances. We know that addiction starts when you exceed with suppose budget that you allocated for your gambling.

There are people who can work on it and they are making decent sometimes and lose sometimes, but the good thing is that they are not exceeding
with the amount that they are willing to lose, money that they use as bankroll, win or lose, they will stop when they already reach their limits.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 28, 2023, 02:14:52 PM
I just saw this on Facebook.: Rudy Gay has agreed on a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.

https://www.facebook.com/NBA.updates4all/posts/pfbid02akbi8ucCxXD5C97zonDD6A9QHZ3WaCBRSsjbfQjKwZ9FoU1BefoxWqHRzD4gQ3ttl

I thought this guy was already done in the NBA but it looks like he still has a contract, unlike Dwight Howard who humorously claimed to be with the Golden State Warriors this season.
Rudy Gay averaged only 5 points per game while playing an average of 15 minutes last season.

This is an interesting signing by the Warriors… I don’t see Rudy Gay giving them many minutes this season, but maybe he could come in and get a few buckets when they need him to. Personally I think Dwight Howard could have helped the team much more and played a larger role, but maybe Gay has been drinking from the fountain of youth.

It was said that Rudy might mentor Kuminga as they have the same position and so maybe with Rudy's vast experience, who knows, maybe a couple of minutes in the game and also he might be hitting those big shots as he is also a good rhythm shooter during his time.

They also signed Usman Garuba as well, not sure if he is the replacement for Dwight Howard or not.

Another as well is Rodney McGruder, a 7th year veteran to added some depth in the back court.

Looking forward if that can be done, if Gay will manage to mentor Kuminga and same with the young star if he will listen
and take the guidance that Gay can provide.

I think Warriors see the value of Gay instead of hiring Howard, which I think might have a future issue with Green. Both are talkative and I guess
Warriors management wanted to prevent that.

Warriors with the healthy trio plus cp3 and the rest of the squad still have that competitive chance of chasing the ring.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 28, 2023, 09:04:42 AM
I guess he will have accomplished the win first from Tapales and unify all the belts. Then plan his stay for another exciting matchup
unless Tapales will activate the rematch claw (not sure though if that's possible)
It's likely that there's a rematch clause since both are champions, and I'm pretty sure Inoue would make sure he would have the option of a rematch in case an upset happened. However, I wouldn't think of a possible upset, and I don't think Tapales' camp will activate that rematch if Inoue has a clear dominant win in this fight.

Inoue's camp provided a statement to continue the hype and to check if how fans will engaged especially those who wanted to see the potential
of giving Casimero his chance to be inside the ring against "The Monster"

All depends on how promoters will take it and how fans will react and push for whoever the next in line after Tapales.
Promoters will be happy to arrange that specific fight as it would certainly sell to the crowd. However, I have a feeling that the camp of Inoue might be a little concerned about their future due to the risk of losing to Casimero. Whether they will admit it or not, it's very obvious that they are not 100% confident that their monster boxer will win.

I don't think Naoya Inoue is interested in putting a rematch clause in his contract with Tapales. But Tapales can ask for it if he is not getting the money he wants. But technically it is hard to include a rematch clause in their fight since there are mandatories coming up soon. The IBF already has a mandatory waiting, the WBA has an upcoming eliminator fight and the WBC already had a partial eliminator but it could become mandatory depending on the situation.

I am curious about what made Inoue obviously scared of Casimero. Inoue wanted to become undisputed at 118 so he fought all 4 champions 1 by 1. Now he also wants to become an undisputed at 122. Inoue is busy fighting champions for his legacy while Casimero is busy fighting nobodies mate. Cheesy

Depending on how both camps will negotiate, I also think that Tapales camp can activate that rematch clause as a defending champion
he can ask for it especially if he's not satisfied with the money.

Since Inoue is seeking to unify all the belts, Tapales can demand things that may let Inoue agree, without Tapales having the desire to unify all the
belts won't be possible.

We can't tell what the future will be for both champs and how they will end this possible fight.

388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not for everyone! on: September 27, 2023, 09:25:57 AM
Trading is not really for beginners because at first they are unsure and unskilled about crypto trading capabilities. Moreover i think they can be efficient if they study trading for few months perfectly.
Also how easy is crypto investing? You can't buy good coins at a dip! So you need to have sure skills to take every step that is profitable.
Moreover you need to be a sufficient time holder to profit in bull markets. In the bull market almost all tokens increase in price, but especially top coins increase in price, so if you hold on to good projects you will get profits.

Well said! Trading is not something that you can just hop on because you wanted to generate income and people tells you so. If you don't understand the risks that comes with it, then you shouldn't probably go into it. Trading requires a lot of time and energy, and without having essential knowledge and skills, you will not survive the market.
Even the most expert traders are still experiencing losses, what more for those people who are just beginners and doesn't have much experience with it. In trading, its either you'll earn or lose a lot of money, but one thing is for sure, you will gain experiences and lesson in which you can use as a support to succeed in trading.  So, if you are a beginner, you should consider doing researches about this matter and build experience because this could help you in the long run. And remember that there is no point in rushing, as what I have said, learning trading takes time.

Correct! even experienced trader also fall into unexpected losses, not an easy passageway to make money.

Unlike with those misinterpretations of some newbies, thinking that trading is some sort of gambling type of business, just buy and wait for
it to pump, and nothing else.

It isn't as easy as that. There are many factors that you need to learn about how the market works and how the business will give you
the best chance of making money.

A never-ending cycle that you needed to keep positioning against other traders who got that same goal of making money.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 27, 2023, 09:07:13 AM
Casimero must do a good observation in order that a plan how he defeat inoue as we all know that the monster inoue is not just an easy fighter he is a good and talented one so for sure casimero   will take this as a serious cause one mistake he make when they are fighting for sure casimero will loss. But for now hoping casimero will win against oguni as we all know that he must win this fight before he will face inoue.

That's not Casimero's first priority; he certainly knows how to win, as he is currently on a winning streak. In my opinion, Casimero is more focused on how he can secure a fight against Inoue, and the rest will follow. As for his upcoming opponent, who is also Japanese, Oguni isn't a quality boxer, at least not at the current time, so I doubt this fight will be competitive, and Casimero will likely not struggle.

Though his opponent is no longer in his prime, Casimero still needs a win with a big hype under his name. Winning it with an early KO
might bring the attention to the crowd.

Especially that he's fighting against a Japanese fighter where pride is really important, winning it with a KO or taking his opponent down with something
that vlogger can write a good story behind might really spark the interest of promoters to set him up against Inoue.

An important win to make or create a noise for your name and push the intensity to bring himself closer to Inoue's next challenger.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 27, 2023, 03:49:50 AM
Even if a team on the west manages to beat Denver this year, which could be done because most teams are not three peat type of teams and just win it once (look at bucks for example) but that doesn't mean that we are not going to end up with East teams just letting whoever is the new west team to win that easily. If Suns ends up going to finals this year, they would still have to play against the team from the east and they may end up losing that as well, so its never guaranteed. I am hoping that it would be good to see a bunch of teams trying to end up good, its not good to have bad parity and just good teams at the top, 1-2 good teams and rest sucks would be terrible.

If the Nuggets didn't let Bruce Brown go to the other team, I would say the Nuggets are the new dynasty. I don't have any idea why they let go of the piece who made a good contribution during their playoff run. Well, they might have a good plan, but they just sacrificed the team chemistry.
Nevertheless, the Nuggets could still be a good team even without him, they will just need to fill another piece that could perfectly complement the style of play Jokic and Murray brings to the team.
If I'm to be ask if the Nuggets could make a repeat? I would say 70% yes, until I can find a team in the upcoming regular season that eventually worked out after rebuilding.

If the same competitiveness that they will bring the chance is still high for the Nuggets to defend their title, they still have the same core
and even Brown already been traded the possibility that they can fill that space again is not by far.

Having Jokic, Murray and Gordon healthy will allow the competitiveness to continue, with a good two-way role player like Gordon, they've got a
good stopper and a finisher in one.

Though we all see that teams will not just sit and let the defending champion to easily take another title, it would be really interesting
to see what the new season will bring to every fan who loves supporting their teams.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: September 27, 2023, 03:23:31 AM
I'm lucky that the bank i'm currently using doesn't allow this because they're very strict with gambling transactions similar to crypto exchanges.

Also, I prefer avoiding credit cards unless it's the only payment option I have and I know I can pay it within the timeframe because it could tempt you to spend over your limit when it can be avoided by managing your funds consistently.

I agree with that statement, just the same with how you use your credit card. Sometimes even you really don't need something, but if
credit card payment is available, you will push for it and buy the item.

Imagine if a credit card is allowing you to transfer money to your bankroll and you are on the losing side. You will keep on adding to the point that
you will use the max limit and if luck will not permit you to win, that will serve as additional burden to you.

Better to set your bankroll and not to let any emotion to lead you to add more money. If you lose your set bankroll, call for the day and
let it be better luck next time.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 26, 2023, 12:46:40 PM
I read that this is the 4 fighters that Inoue wanted to face before moving up in division,

1. 🇵🇭 Marlon Tapales - This November
2. 🇵🇭 John Riel Casimero
3. 🇲🇽Luis Nery
4. 🇺🇿MJ Akhmadaliev

Can we have an official source to these? As far as Inoue is concerned, he is not a type of boxer that target a certain boxer in terms of he really want that to be his opponent. Marlon Tapales isn't on Inoue's radar but since the Pinoy boxer got the championship belt, then he needs to fight him as that was a mandatory to become the undisputed champion in the Super Bantamweight Division.

Maybe that list is those who wants to face Inoue instead and try to keep the monster at the Super Bantamweight for the meantime.

Luis Nery is honestly just full of talks. He won't stand a chance against Inoue. On the list, it's really John Riel Casimero as a better opponent for him although even I will support Quadro Alas here, Inoue is seems to be the better fight over him. Casimero have a hard time dominating the unranked boxer he faced on his last fight. If that performance will be applied against Inoue, it's a clear win already for the Japanese.

I looked on the internet and happen to find this article: https://fightnews.com/naoya-inoue-even-if-all-belts-unified-ill-stay-in-the-122lb-division/150758

The statement is from his manager and promoter Hideyuki Ohashi, stating that after the unification fight against Tapales, they might consider fighting John Riel Casimero or Luis Nery.  I haven't found the article that Inoue is also looking to have a match against Akhmadaliev.

Quote
His manager and promoter Hideyuki Ohashi, former WBC and WBA world minimum champ, explained his blue print. “If possible, Naoya will exchange gloves with Tapales for unification this year. Then, next year, he may face John Riel Casimero or Luis Nery. Robeisy Ramirez might be Naoya’s future target should he move up to the featherweight division in the future.”

I guess he will have accomplished the win first from Tapales and unify all the belts. Then plan his stay for another exciting matchup
unless Tapales will activate the rematch claw (not sure though if that's possible)

393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 26, 2023, 05:27:45 AM
I think people are not interested in the rematch anymore, but since it's obligatory on the side of Crawford due to the rematch clause in the contract, we will see a rematch. But honestly, we already know who will win this fight. Maybe Spence is hoping for a miracle that he could beat Crawford, and then this rivalry is going to be interesting, as we might see a trilogy. However, for me, the chance of that happening is very slim. Crawford vs. Canelo has a higher chance of happening.

Although Crawford dominated Spence on their first fight, we all know that Spence can adjust his tactics so that it can counter Crawford's.  As I watch the fight between Spence and Crawford, I feel like Spence is out of sync.  I do not know if it is because of Crawford's strategy but I guess, it was a different Spence than the usual one that we have seen on their first fight.  So I would not be confident to say that this rematch will have the same ending like before (knocking out Spence).  There is always an upset in boxing so there is still a possibility even a little for Spence to win the rematch.

Not impossible to happen. We all know that Spence can bounce back and regain his throne.

Might be another rivalry that will earn the interest of boxing fans. They just need to continue doing their stuff, especially in keep updating
the fans with their social media accounts.

The more they are active, the more followers and supporters will possibly buy the tickets for their possible upcoming rematch.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 26, 2023, 05:00:59 AM
^^ But I think Manny did the right thing though, moving up in weight winning 8 divisions and now he has become a legend. And could be in the argument for one of the best, GOAT in boxing. As let's say to Floyd's unblemished record, but if you have to compare him and Manny, what Pacman accomplished was greater as it hard to beat that record and maybe it will stand for many years that not even Inoue can break it if he wanted to. But fighting in the US, could really be good for Inoue's exposure and of course getting huge money as well.
You know what the pretty boy Mayweather is too far from Manny pacman Pacquiao ad we all know and saw how he fight Floyd has the strategy of backing once his opponent are stronger than him we won't give a belt to belt fight which is pretty bad for me. That's the reason why he has the name of pretty boy because his face is very protective by his elbow and arms. While Manny pacman gives us an exciting match a belt to belt punches until both of them felt slow.

Not to hijack this thread but yes, Floyd and Manny are different, as how the post above you describe it and how you state your own
interpretation, Floyd uses his tactics and keeps that clean records.

While Manny brings all the excitement and we know how popular he is not just in front of his countrymen, but also he gains the love all around the world.

And, hopefully if ever Casimero will have that chance to meet Inoue inside the ring, he will show something that will hype his
name, more on the side where opportunity might open up for after this upcoming fight.

Kaya wag basta basta maniniwala sa mga napapanood, do your own research.

pag sumablay maghuhugas kamay.

396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: September 26, 2023, 02:33:36 AM
Don't really think its the gambling that causes relationship breakdowns, its when partners or family members are kept in the dark or deceived, which breaks the trust that's so essential in any relationship. It's up to us to make informed decisions, to be self-aware of our behaviors, and to ensure we're not crossing lines that jeopardize our relationships and personal well-being.

The root cause of getting that problem is because of the gambling participation and we know the possible after-effect of it.

I get your point but without participating chances not to fall to any of this can done, you need to play with responsibility if you want to keep
your relationship, like what you mentioned, once there's already something happening in the dark.

Meaning to say that there's a problem with handling the situation in your gambling activities, it can spark the problem and may affect your close

Parang naging Ponzi scheme yung nangyari eh,

Just like what Top Rank's did to Manny and now to Inoue. They have the blue print to make a good fighters to be great and legendary by careful match making. But just imagine if Manny doesn't have the power or the charisma he had in the ring, he wouldn't be that great though.

Inoue was already popular before he joined Top Rank. If I remember correctly, he only joined after he beat Donaire in their first fight. I thought that when he joined Top Rank, he would have more fights outside his country, but he still chose to fight in Japan rather than in the USA. I'm not sure if Inoue is making more money fighting in Japan or in the USA. How can Top Rank maximize the potential income?

Yes, this was in 2019 when Inoue won the tournament by beating Donaire in the final round.
For more information about that, you can check out this link: World Boxing News - Naoya Inoue

Inoue idolizes Pacman, maybe that's the reason why he also chose Bob Arum to be his promoter because he believes it can help elevate his career. We are already seeing it now; he is fighting to become an undisputed champion, and maybe after this, he will be moving up, probably next year.

Maybe he's focusing on how to achieve more glory and he's letting Arum to work for him in terms of money.

not sure if what his handler's doing to make sure that they are getting what they supposed to earn while Inoue's career still hyping up.

Still preferred to fight inside his home crowd and there's no update yet if he will soon to travel and fight outside especially
in the US where money may overflow.

Maybe if by chance Him and Casimero will be setup and deal, maybe US would be best for them both to bring huge amounts of money.

So maybe we might be talking at how Inoue will win and what round will it end for Tapales.

If Inoue wins, I'm guessing that this won't go past 6 rounds. Tapales is an aggressive fighter, although he has mastered the counter-punching style, he really likes to engage with his opponents. So, it should be an interesting fight to watch, but I'm afraid Tapales won't be able to time his attacks well against the speed and quickness of Inoue.

The only reason Stephen Fulton and Paul Butler lasted in the later rounds before getting KO'd is that they didn't engage in a toe-to-toe battle against Inoue. So, if Tapales were to go toe-to-toe, this fight could end early. However, there's still a chance that an upset could happen because Tapales has KO power. But as the majority believes, Inoue is still likely to dominate. Tapales should master Inoue's style to determine how to counter it, because if not, he will just be fighting to survive, no different from other boxers.

The good thing about Marlon Tapales is he is also an experienced fighter and is somewhat smart with an underrated power in both hands. He is now a 2 division world champion so his confidence is also high. In his last fight, Tapales brought something new to his style that made former unified champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev have difficulty in their fight.

So Tapales might surprise us again. I want to see Tapales being the aggressor in this fight. Make himself that hunter instead of being like Butler and Fulton who were hunted by Inoue. Careful aggression and try to lure Naoya Inoue into a brawl. I doubt Inoue will engage, he is too smart so he will be forced to backpedal so he can utilize his speed which is his best asset.

But he needs to be more careful as Donaire did try this strategy and didn't last long on their rematch, Inoue's power combination
is something that Tapales needs to study.

With a good counter or a good system that may allow him to prevent huge damage or a possible KO, his chance might be better.

We really don't know what will happen as like you mentioned. He surprises Murodjon and who knows if he may repeat that same outcome
against Inoue, right?
