If you take any elite, world class player out of any team then it will weaken them. Messi is one of the best players to ever kick a ball so of course Barca are worse without him.

I do agree that they really need to improve though. It’s not going to be easy, they really need an entire new spine of the team.
Barcelona are not getting any better and they need next summer transfer market to be very sensitive, there is no longer room for more deals that are delayed by work or procrastination by purchasing reinforcements for all lines. Almost there is a shortage in every line and in every direction .. Selling Coutinho and Dembele is the first step in raising the team's liquidity and get the players they need for those weak positions.

*EDIT seconds after this post, Betis scored, 1-0...oh boy  Lips sealed

well, it seems that barcelona will once again prove that it is a useless team, it is losing: 2 - 1. I would not be surprised if Betis scored more goals. I feel pity for barcelona, everything barcelona does Is keep circling with the ball. In the past Have times that I feared Barcelona because there were a lot of players who had excellent skills, but today Barcelona is a very disappointing team. I'm a Real Madrid fan I like the type of game that Real Madrid has, but I also admired the type of game that Barcelona had in the past
Barca needs to be renew some faces, especially the big heads if they want wants titles they must build a new team, the current elements have expired the likes of pique Busquets Ronerto Rakitic and Alaba became consumed, saturated and accept loss. Barca has to believe in youth, believe in its academy, and buy a few, only products that its factory does not produce. Barcelona should prepare an integrated sports project, and trust completely in the coach who leads this project, if the new manager is to be awarded a contract for four years, and be given more powers and taken into account in the transfer market, with full powers being withdrawn from old players, whatever the size The player, even if he is the best in the history of the game.

I believe Ighalo will be an instant hit at manchester united, and will provide the attacking spark and goal scoring threat that has been often missing in the United frontline.
I have a feeling he won't live up to the expectations at Manchester United. He's already 30. A much younger Lukaku even looked more promising before he joined United and guess what happened. I think there is a lot that needs to change at Old Trafford before the glory get back there.

Sorry guys but Ighalo is not for me going to make an impact, I agree. Benteke is to me a player a lot like him and even so he struggles to make big impact, is slow and not super creative. I do not doubt his finishing but if you do not very good suppliers around you, then do not expect to have many opportunities to convert,,,

I think it's not judged that way, Ighalo is premier league proven with his stint in average Watford
And to rebuff your point, Ighalo is indeed a fast player with beautiful hold up play, aggressive and strong.

He will offer more upfront for united than martial doea
Man Utd had been lacking a point man striker that is why they signed ighalo in the absence of injured Rashord the likes of Martial and greenwood are more or less a winger I remembered when barbartov, Lious Saha, Ronney are no 9 (striking role)  then they banged a lot of goals then, Ighalo would also want to prove his worth by helping Man Utd regain their form having played well with a short stint in Watford fc. I hope he proved his critics wrong by scoring goals for his new team.
I hope to see him succeed in the red shirt because he took a pay cut by half and United really need a true number9 and I think that if they get him the ball in front of the goal he will not miss also it will be a shame to see such talents that united have will not be playing in champions for another season and if they fail to reach ot for a second season they will never be a destination for good players and we are starting to see some players avoiding them I think United should make it a top priority to get in 4rth spot.

As a Nigerian I would love to see him flourish at United. United are no longer the dominant team which the once were and in matches they find themselves spending lots of time without the ball. Ighalo would be a perfect fit as he plays with space picking out the chances and finishing it off.
Chelsea selection will be weird considering the champions league match, lets see whatever Lampard does.
Difficult to pick which fixture should get priority. The race for top four is heating up, and the blues would not want to drop points to the reds.
yeah ighalo had great two seasons with Watford where he scored 20 in his first and 15 in the second one he may not be as good as Rashford for United this season but he will do better with them as they are not doing well right now lacking that finishing touch but what is most important then ighalo is Bruno Fernandes this guy if he manages to keep doing what he have done in Portugal united will surely snatched that 4rth place this season or win the Europa league.

Tottenham signs their first player after a year with no transfers and with it they broke thir owne history of the most expensive club record transfer fee.

Ndombele is coming from Lyon for transfer fee of $70 million. is one of the most prominent French talents  i think Tottenham is the place to give him a full chance to emerge and mature but the most important thing for Tottenham is try to renew Ericson to keep off Real Madrid from snatching him.

AS, Pogba wants to comeback to Juventus!

https://as.com/futbol/2019/06/29/primera/1561840283_474720.html

Well everyone loves Paul in Juventus, the problem is the cost Idk how they can pay the price to Manchester United.

The only way is to sell Pjanic and Dybala, to get Pogba and keeping Higuain coming back to Chelsea.

Juve have made 70Million euros this season from selling players that they don't need and they already got Aaron Ramsey and Rabiot on free transfer so i think they have the budget to bring back pogba if they want to and if they had to sell a player in midfield like bentancur.

Luca Pellegrini arrived to Turin this morning and has started his medial before his move from AS Roma to Juventus. I already saw pictures of Leonardo Spinazzola with a AS Roma scarf so the exchange between the two clubs seems not to far away.

It is being reported that they might plan another exchange of players. A swap deal involving Higuain for Zaniolo.
this trade between Juventus and Roma seems to be working good for all parts.

Spinazzola is an experienced player who will benefit Roma also it will help him to get a spot and play for the national team.

Pellegrini will go to a higher place ambitious and betting on him in the future and has the opportunity to develop ..

Roma got the experience .. Juventus gets 10 million helping his budget in a market that looks crazy to them.

looks like the campaign on the glazers of Man United are paying off. United have just signed Wan Bissaka and they say more signings to come as for United have struggled to sign their primary targets and had to get the cheaper second options after woodward complaining about the main targets hig fees demands and we have seen that especially under Mourinho.

Rabiot will probably announce on 01/07/2019 for Juventus, after the start of the new financial season.

For who doesn't know the financial season ends on the last day of June.
not only Rabiot leaving PSG for the Bianconeri also buffon is looking for a comeback but he will be propably the back up keeper as Wocjiech Szczesny is more likely to be the numbrt 1 Buffon have already entered the final years of his career while Huve needs to rely on a keeper for couple more years.

The premier league is already strong.
I don't think that we are going to see big signings from teams in EPL this season. Probably more outgoing that inbound.

I think Man Utd will make signings, they have to. They’re still a massive club deapute recent struggles. If they want to get back amongst the big boys competing for the big trophies they’re going to have to spend to compete.
yes they have to do it, rumors of Pogba going out of Manchester United so strong this makes MU also have to make purchases of players with positions left by Pogba and also several strikers.
not only Pogba is propably going out Lukaku also could be seeing a move. i think it will be hard for them to lose Pogba more then Lukaku because Pogba had somewhat of a good season while Lukaku have been a hit and a miss at the same time as he never reached the potential thzt the fzns wanted to see from him also United still have Rashford infront that will also means for Martial more time to play next season as he can play left wing or second striker behind Rashford. as for the possible entries for United Aaron wan Bissaka is a priority alongside Diop from West Ham while Maddison should be brought instead of Pogba if he leaves eventualy.

Something tells me we will hear something about Sarri latest by tomorrow. If not, then I think he's actually going to stay put, above odds. The rumours are rife, and usually if I see something on espn then it's more or less confirmed. I want it to be over soon though because I'm getting ready to see the outright bets now that EPL fixtures are out!

I'm guessing with Allegri stepping down as Juve's manager this just fuels the talks more. Originally Pep Guardiola was their target but with Sarri going out of Chelsea it made him the top priority target since Italian clubs prefers their own citizens for running their club, other than that Sarri already mentioned that if he was appointed as the new manager for the team he would be bringing back Pogba back to Juventus again. Once the contract agreement has officially been confirmed we can expect him to be running the Bianconeri.
it's True that Sarri is very close to land on Juve job but i don't think he will bring Pogba because that will cost him most of his transfer budget i don't think that United will sell any less then 140M euros and i only see Pogba leaving united this season only to join Real Madrid because of zidane is the manager there and they are looking strong after couple transfers coming in and it will be the line that will be saving Bale as it's msot likely to be offered in te deal whicg will help both teams. United will be moso,g a star but they will get one back while if he goes to juve they wil not get a player instead.
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 11, 2019, 11:15:46 PM
I wanna bet on Mou as the next Chelsea manager.  Take your pick and give me good odds if your pick is Lampard or Benitez or anybody more favored than Mou.

Open to anybody trusted.  20 bucks max from me.

I’m not betting on this, not confident enough. Been seeing rumours that Benitez goes to Chelsea & Newcastle get Mourinho because they’re getting bought out by a Sheikh.

I think there is no chance to happen Mourinho in Chelsea again, he is not that stupid. But if Newcastle has new owners, then it is a great opportunity for Mou. Solid transfer budget, building a team from scratch and no big pressure as they have in his last three clubs. Also, it will certainly help to draw attention to this club.
I'm not seeing Chelsea bringing back Mourinho for the third time or even Benitez there is good opportunity to see Allegri making the switch or Watford manager Javi Garcia could be a good alternative to go with while Lampard still a choice for Chelsea if they don't get anyone other then the two I mentioned plus Ajax manager Erik or Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo those are in my opinion the best solution's that Chelsea wants to negotiate with.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 09, 2019, 02:37:59 AM
So what are you think about speculation on new Newcastle owners from The Bin Zayed Group?
will we have a new wealthy club in PL like Chelsea and City in the next few years?

Chelsea used to be wealthy.
I wouldn't compare this club with City. They  have cut spending a lot during the last years.
As far as Newcastle is concerned I would be happy to see another historic club reaching the top and being able to sign great players. I am in fond of it.
The competetion in the EPL now is too strong and the financial fairplay rules can go up against Newcastle so i don't think that can sign a bunch of big names at one trasnfer season like what used before i doubt that them to attract any major star at his peak of career they can bring lost likely aged stars that had contract run out and looking for a place that keeps paying them good money, so there is no chance to be in top 6 next season and for top 8 i really doubt them to be better then Wolves Everton and Leicester.

if this realy happends Chelsea do not have a lot of choices they will either go with Laurent Blanc who had a successful 3 years in PSG lifting 11titles

Blanc wasn't that successful in Paris. He won the trophies he was expected to win, nothing more.
His reputation isn't very good. He is remembered as a weak coach (Serge Aurier even insulted him on social networks) who couldn't handle his stars' egos (like Ibrahimovic) and as a coach who completely failed tactically in the 2016 quarter finals of the Champions League against Manchester City even though PSG were the clear favorites.
He also failed at the head of the French national team.
There's a reason why he hasn't been working for a while.
Comparing to Tuchel he is far more successfull then him they knocked out by Man United from the round of the 16 out of UCL also they lost coupe de France in the Final against Rennes and the other coupe the Ligue cup they only reached the quarter final while they had Mbappe Cavani and Neymar infront and the reste of the squad looks more solid they Laurent Blanc had back then i think he was successfull locally but in Europe not so much. without even mentioning Unai Emery who failed to win the ligue1 in is first season.
