I think the only English Premier League club that are luckier in the Champions League draw would be Manchester City, all of their opponents in group F which includes team Shakhtar Donetsk, Hoffenheim and Lyon are not extremely tough opponents to handle, and I believe Manchester City would have a very high chance to progress to the round of 16, and manager Pep Guardiola should definitely try to get his team to finish in top of group F to avoid playing against strong teams at the round of 16.
This group Man City seems to be a leader and the chances for Guardiola to finish at top of the group early on are good and to start the round and do not drain his players in the expectation that he has a Premier League will be harder than last season.

I think Shakhtar is most experienced in the championship than others in recent years, and their own league they have less pressure than the others  but Nagelsmann Hoffenheim proved that he could hurt the opponents, while Lyon has good names but they are not too consistant and they have a challenge for For the championsleague seats in the the league which will often be the toughest challenge for them to focus on two competetions.

United have a huge budget and can make a comeback since money can bring trophy's but United must be patient on Jose and give him the tools and the policy of changing coaches will not work, especially as the alternative Zidane is unconvincing in my eyes he had an already good team and he didn't had to make big decisions also best thing for him he had extreme luck. for now Mourinho is still with United next game with burnley will be the key for his survival. if he failed to win then it's time for the change zidane is not the only name mentioned to be close to manage United Belgium national team manager Roberto martinez is also recently name popped out.

They can't keep throwing money at players and down the drain if they don't win anything. They don't have an unlimited budget either and there's financial fair play rules that come into effect that prohibit them going crazy. I suspect they've already spent most if not all of what they were going to (or are allowed to) unless they unload some other players. I don't think them spending more money is the issue though. If they can't work with the squad and manager they've got now then nothing will work.
i'm Sure that Manchester had minimum extra 100M euros saved up this season for not getting the defenders Mourinho wanted but yes it's not a money probleme their problem is the other players they bought should have started to bring results by now like Sanchez Lukaku and Pogba, Mourinho used to bring the best out of his players but now we don't see that. burnley game will see if Mourinho going to finish the season with him keeping his job or not.
United should get this win because Burnley is also struggling as they lost to Fulham, lost to Watford, Out of Europe unless United players play a shitty game again the three points should go to them.

Group D looks like some kind of a sick joke. That shit belongs in the Europa League. Some massive games between some big clubs in the other groups though, that’s why it’s the best club competition in football.

Those teams should have been distributed to other groups. There is no one who really deserves to be the head team of that group.
All of them when we come to reality and forget some historical excellence for them you get the four of thema have equal opportunity the qualidication will be mesured on whom will earns the points from home and who grabs a point from an away game considered the best.
Porto looks little bit favorite as they are the most educated but still not that invincible team.

Belgian winger Nacer Chadli looking for a move out relegated West brom especialy after that impressive performance in WC i'm surprised he didn't move yet before the window closed or any of the newly promted EPL teams tryed to bring him.
Everton Striker Sandro Ramirez is going o, a loan move out Goodison park back to spain. he will be joining Real Sociedad.
Italien Midfielder Claudio Marchisio is considering to move to Portugal and his destination will be either Porto or Benfica Porto will be better as they are the defending champions and their draw for Group Stages in UCL is fairely easier then Benfica.

Ronaldo's return to Manchester, the return of Pogba to Juventus, the return of Cancelo to Valencia it will be fantastic mix of emotions in a very powerful group.

Young Boys seems to be on the sidelines, but any team that squandered points against them would be digging his own grave with his hands.

Juventus is currently the most experienced, the most stable in terms of coach and names, and even the most self-confident. but you can not say that he is the candidate to qualify or lead, neither Valencia nor Manchester United can secure them.

the red devils have started really poorly this season but there is a room for them to immprove if they find the stability they need while Valencia have returned back to Champiosleague in the previous couple seasons they have created problems for Real Madrid and Barcelona and is playing with enthusiasm and intensity. This summer they managed to sign a good number of players to provide offensive options for their coach. .

Money can't bring teamwork, however. Man Utd have already spent huge, literally breaking world records of spending to bring in Pogba. They shouldn't be losing to teams like Brighton. Jose needs to go.
the problem is the money spent on pogba was not well spent because when you see him performing from game to game you see ups and downs, he still yet to show his worth and now the money they spent on him is not considered a lot for this year when you see Liverpool breaking the beank on improving their defense while united is still struggling to build one also the players they got now in attack they are not performing anywhere close to what they did in previous clubs. Mourinho propably need to go but not now not when they are in crisis because i don't think that zidane is the right man to takeover now.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/sport/anthony-martial-set-to-sign-five-year-deal-in-belief-he-will-outlast-jose-mourinho-at-manchester-united-vfftl9hjh

"United have offered a new five-year deal to Martial and are hopeful that the Frenchman will sign it even though Mourinho does not want the forward at the club."

Now this I don't understand. Jose wants him out, but the board offer him a new contract. If you are just going to undermine everything he tries to do, why even keep him as a manager?

Maybe they do plan to get rid of Jose? Martial isn't that great in my opinion. Lukaku and Sanchez are far better. United will probably win against Burnley this weekend and then return to form and then the talk of Jose leaving will probably be forgotten. I'd only like to see him go if Zidane replaces him personally. Anyone else would be lackluster.

That news came from Daily Mail.Good title to click.Next coach will be Zidane
Daily Mail  is not best source of information

That's what I said. Pay no mind on tabloid speculation. They'll print whatever sounds juicy to sell some papers.

Paco Alcacer has become the second most expensive loaned player in the history of the Bundesliga, with Borussia Dortmund paying €4.5m for two seasons
Paco played bearly 2300 minutes with Barcelona in two full seasons so it's clear that he didn't get his time with the club compared to 4300 minutes Gomez had during the same period, meaning that the Spanish did not get half of the opportunity obtained by Portuguese. Also under Valverde's lead he played only 937 minutes, a very small number and the periode of the two seasons spent with Barcelona Paco scored 15 goals and made eight goals in his short career today he will be wearing the number 9 and his huger for minutes will stop now as his fate is now in his hands.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 28, 2018, 11:47:30 PM
Roma vs Atalanta today, I predict a comfortable win for Roma. They should be far too strong in all departments for Atalanta. Roma were CL semi finalists last season. I think they’ll probably win by 2 goals at least.

Game ended 3-3 lot  of goals in Italy and many very good games
Roma played in the lifgield with De rossi Cristante Pastore both Cristiani and Pastori are play-makers and they are weak defensively and Di Francesco don't have a lot of options there given the technical options available to the coach, it is true that only two defensive midfielders have good defense capabilities, they play the same position and role (Der ossi, N'zonzi). The rest are purely aggressive and do not offer great defensive guarantees. Ironically when we see Dzeko as a striker go back to help in defense that course will make the Roma season very difficult and the reason of it is monchi he sold Niangolan and their top goalkeeper Alisson and the players he brought for the last two seasons failed miserably only Kolarov shown is play.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 28, 2018, 10:53:46 PM
You know, this was an example of just how stubborn Mourinho is. I'm not saying they played completely defensively as everyone expected them to do, they actually didn't and so many close chances and almost converting in the first minute, so don't anyone say that this team didn't want to win it. But I would say that they only really went for it after being down.

They were slow to attack, moved only faster after needing to score to draw. That is what frustrates to watch this team. I predicted 3-2 and should have been right!

Spurs weren't that good, actually! Just got their goals. 3-0 is not really how the game looked. But no excuses for United who spends 64 million this season, who have superstars in their team, super manager. Lose at your home ground this big, to a London team!
Spurs played this gale so perfectly they knew how to soak the the danger from the chances that united created and after that they played on their opponents mistakes in defense, the srt peices marking was awful from United they blew the game that way with just to headers, Smalling should have been sold in the summer so they could bring another defender he is 28yo and there is no room for him to improve anything then this Phil Jones is still usefull IMO Mourinho can rely on him if he gets regular time Lindelof is still looking like he is not adjusted yet in the EPL and that is a big question mark since he shown good performance is WC.

^  Maybe he means Chelsea won't be letting Hazard go now that they can't acquire players to fill the gap he leaves once he's out.

But he could go next season, or maybe even this January...?  I wonder who Sarri's interested in.  I could be somebody from his past club imo.
Hazadr most likely will leave next season , unless Cheslea improves this season under Sarri and show him the project that they are working on to brong back the club and i don't think he will move in january because you rarely see big players move in winter because you cannot play in Europe Coutinho was a rare case of big name moving in winter and it's propably because Liverpool have found that Salah is their man and barcelona is fool enough to make an offer again, Real Madrid will propably make a move for him in January but i don't think they are willing to meet the requests of Chelsea and they rather wait for the player to enter his final 12 month then Chelsea will be forced to drop it's price beacuse he could wait for one more seaon and move for free.

Is this  the end of Mourinho world.United-Spurs 0-3 yet another three goals lost
and now united is on 13 position in Premier
Tragic defensive play.nothing good for  Manchester
this loss is not in Mourinho it was on his players mistakes and you can see how in the first half how united performed they were clearly a better team then Spurs but Lukaku missed a big chance that could have been the turning point for them but in the second halve the defensive mistakes were catastrophique. and Mourinho have done big changes from previous game as he changed 6 players but still the same problem i guess he was right for pursuing the board in buying him a central defender as it looks like no one is good enough to play there, the only good point from this match is Luke Shaw he is showing Mourinho that he is up to the task to be the sole Left back after a summer full of spectaculation over hm staying or leaving.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 26, 2018, 11:55:15 PM
I thought Chelsea were lucky, their first goal wasn’t a penalty & their 2nd was crap defending & an own goal. As a Liverpool fan they do not concern me. City are the favourites & the team to beat.

This match seemed to be heading for a goalless draw when Chelsea got a penalty and Eden Hazard converted it. Newcastle managed to equalize minutes later, which would have led to Chelsea fans getting worked up again. Chelsea had most of the possession but they could not really do much with it. When you win due to a penalty and an own goal, you should consider yourself lucky.

I'm happy with the result as I had a bet on both teams to score. Yes Chelsea were lucky to win the match and I thought Newcastle did play well and maybe even deserved a point from this game. I was lucky myself to win my bet as it was looking unlikely. Chelsea now move into 2nd position on the table.
Newcastle have been difficult to beat at home for the blues lately now they outperform them and collected 3 wins in row, Mourinho could not beat Newcastle at home during the two seasons while Conte lost 3-0 and Chelsea have not won this stadium since 2011, Sarrii won and prevented Newcastle from creating any opportunity except the one where scored the goal. Sarri was right on Bringing jorgingo he is providing that he is the best Midfielder in Chelsea despite that they have Kante. Kante will need time to adjust to the new manager and Jorginho next to him.

I don't think the Lakers can realistically compete against the Warriors. I think Lebron knows this, he went to Los Angeles for the endorsement deals and to do other hollywood appearances.

The Lakers have been lacking a true superstar since Kobe left so Lebron will help them generate hype, sell loads of merchandise, and sell out every game.
Its too early too speculate at this moment but if we will base it on the rosters of the 2 teams, the warriors have better players but the Lakers have Lebron and I think he can teach those young players and will be an all star caliber someday. Regarding the endorsement deals blah blah, I have no comment Cheesy but I know Lakers will enter the Playoffs in the upcoming season.
yeah Lakers will definitely will be in playoffs this season LeBron alone will get them there but their youngsters need to improve with him and not rely only on LBJ my expectations for them is to finish 4rth at best (if they don't get a lot of injuries) and get somewhere near 50 wins as for winning warriors I don't see that happening any time soon unless they get kahwi. Oklahoma , Utah and Rocket's wouldn't be as difficult as Warriors so Winning against them will be the case of how the team performing at that stage.

Nobody interested in Italian legaue
What a great Napoli performance against Milan
From 0-2 to 3-2
Ancelloti is playing in very offensive way
Nice to watch
Cristiano move to Italy should bring back the fans for the serieA and we are seeing that since Real Madrid have recorded their lowest attendance in a game since the arrival of Ronaldo in 2009. Yesterday both games were entertaining. I liked Inter and Torino match, despite the draw Inter performed good enough interest scored a goal from a dead ball by the strength of individualism like Icardi and Perisic made their team advanced from the beginning then theor dominance in first half got them their second goal while in 2nd half Torino got more serious and they went in another breath that saw them later losing a big chance to win the game after they took their chances and scored back the two goals for the draw Spaletti need to change the tactics little bit and not relay only on crosses if he wants to keep his job.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: August 26, 2018, 08:57:58 PM
Levante - Celta Vigo : for this match I feel that the hosts have better chances to win especially when you see their manager Jemez made them stronger and at home alongside their fans they should not disappoint also the visitors Celta have a shaky defense and more likely to concede goals so I'm going for a home win for this match while for Athleco Bialbao against Huesca it's possible to see the visitors grab a draw since that Bilbao is not nearly as good as they used to be before and I doubt to see them finish anywhere close to top 6 this season.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 26, 2018, 08:28:09 PM
Yeah Watford are surprisingly(or not?!) super high-flying at the moment and they kinda reminded me of Leicester City amazing feat a few seasons back. I don't seriously think that Watford have any chances of winning the title but still wouldn't that be incredible?  Grin I would love any champion but City  Roll Eyes
yeah Watford having a great start despite losing both a good manager Silva and their best player last season Richaldson to Everton but after those three matches you will expect from them to start losing some points because in the next 4 fixtures they will be facing Spurs Man United and Arsenal so  very thought games waiting for them they are probably looking to finish where Burnley finished last season that is 7th place I expect big competition on that position with Everton and Leicester for the time being.
