201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 14, 2013, 01:52:46 PM
People is worrying about the late shipping with cause them loss.
but i think if they send you a Jupiter as they promise at the day you paid like 2 W/GH/s and 300 even 400gh/s
that is a absolutely loss for today difficulty.
so i think it is still fair even they ship late
when we look at the bfl buyer, we should be glad because KNC is not a company like that

PS : agree all ASIC companies has no customer service skills
PS : i have three  Jupiter working atm (preorder 2000 + order 250)
PS : sorry for my poor english

Well that's also true. After all most got more bang for the buck, problem is that the first people getting their KnC stuff is making diff raise higher for us left behind. Well well. 100GH for free isn't bad. And also it's not Oct 15th today either.. Think they are rushing as hell today.

Well if you make a compare between the people who are first and later, what do you say about comparing the people who can (have money, exclude people who paid with BTC) buy ASIC miners and people who cannot afford this Wink ?

This is our world. The money will anyway find a way, to more money Wink

Like watching a train wreck, i just cant turn away.  Are people really this fucking stupid, if you are out of 4 figures i would be filing for legal action weeks ago.

Funniest thing I have read in this thread!

Legal action, oh c'mon guys TH just had some bad breaks, they will come through...keep the faith!

Longer we wait the chances of us ever getting anything back dwindles.
he placed his house for sale in late july. Just about when people started asking questions regarding the product development status.

TH will come up with some good solution. The prices of mining software are falling every second. I really believe they will find a compensation for our invested money AND time until release and back when we order. The webpage is still active, the certificate is valid. The lack of communication can we also explain in a positive way than with negative and spread paranoia.

Just stay put and wait untill they answer.

Bar, what if TH is only doing the next step, having no time to chat ... and preparing and working on the next plans? Mybe is that?

208  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 4TH hashing power, what to do with it. on: September 12, 2013, 11:08:39 AM
I think the best way to get as much as possible out of it is to sell shares. For example if You sell 1 share for BTC1.5, and you make available 100 share (20GH per share), You get at the end BTC150, in compared to now of paying BTC114 for One CoinTerra IV. This is also quiet beneficially because there will be allways new people who start to get involved in BTC.

The second think is, as You allready propose, to open contract mining bussines. I was also thinking of this version for myself and with some specific phisically overthinked offers. Since my goal is to decentralize BTC and inform about BTC as much people as I can, to help maintain the price of BTC.

The third thing is, to mine for yourself or get someone to host the miners for You and that is prepare to pay for electricity, in return for some shares or even for free.

If You are interested in hosting and contract mining bussines to sell shares in a far more speciffic offers than usually, please let me know. I am trying to open a bussines here down in central Europe myself. I can provide the electricity and internet connection. Every details on PM.

Greetings, Tad

Regarding the project as a whole. Since Yifu is offering chip refunds now, we can go that route. But as you know, chips were only about 50-60% cost in our operation, that is all we would be able to refund everyone.

Another option is to get a refund now, and buy the Gen 2 chips in October. Yifu has announced that the Gen 2 chips will be fully compatible with Gen 1. So, we would be able to use the current boards, heat sinks, cases and most (if not all) of the components. And everyone will get about 8-10 times more hashing power for same price. (This is just an estimate, we will get more details once he releases the specs.) And we'll get another month and a half to sort out the issues with the current design. Instead of depending upon BkkCoins this time, we will hire people here to build upon and improve his design. We will open source everything we do.

Thanks for the update!!

I am just assuming that if you go for refund from Bitsyncom, for at least one batch, you can refund the people who are wanting the refund. The rest can get that second option. I honestly do not know your calculations but assum that not all of us want an refund?
210  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] 60Gh Single SC paying after mining if possible on: September 08, 2013, 09:48:24 AM
This could work if there was a down payment and a set cost of the unit.

Example (not saying this is fair, just an example)

Buyer pays 10 BTC down, purchase price of 40 BTC.

All mining profits go to original owner towards 40 BTC.  When 40 BTC is paid unit is the buyers after paying for shipping cost.  If the mining does not pay the remaining 30 BTC, buyer needs to make up difference + ship to get the unit.  Buyer needs to pay for running electricity costs.

Yes, this is the one ways how might work. Anyway the electricity is on the buyers side, in generally this means someone is mining for you. It's just like buying shares, but with start decision to sell unit.

212  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] 60Gh Single SC paying after mining if possible on: September 07, 2013, 11:01:37 AM
Hello all!

I am in the world of Bitcoin for a long time now but have never thought that price will go that high. I did not decide to burden my finances to build mining farm before 2012. As of January this year, I am trying to buy some ASICs. While the price were to high for my finances I cannot afford any, not to mention that first ASIC suppliers sold out too fast.

While the prices for selling units are dropping, I am now looking for BFLs 60GH/s miner (or perhaps some other over-50GH/s-miner), while I can still mine something before difficulty drastically rises. My offer is simple. I will pay after I mine with delivered unit, a forward determined price. After that the unit is mine. I am looking for people who:

  • are going out of BTC bussines, and don't mind wait for the payment,
  • are trying to sell ASIC hardware to get some BTC because of buying new stuff, and don't mind waiting for the payment,
  • are trying to decentralize ASIC equipment and BTC, as I do not posses any ASIC miner yet,
  • are trustworthy and are looking for the same people,
  • understand the economy and understand that the people with money will always find a way to money and the opposite,
  • wants to help someone to get involved in BTC and help him to build a family life

I do accept offers on PM.
Please, every question should be around my offer. I will not answer to posts that will be not appropriate or not serious.

Well I am glad to invest in your offer, since I am also a new into bitcoin mining and have a difficulty to startup.

Do you plan to buy it alone or after enough shares are paid??
215  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 30, 2013, 10:49:33 AM
What if chips from Avalon never shows up and three months from now you have that project in hand, is it possible that you will replace our orders with the new project?
216  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] xCrowd*US/UK*TH/s+ Units on: August 26, 2013, 12:50:55 PM
So I preordered a miner, and I have yet to pay for it... So I'm happy.  I can just wait and see and when they actually try to take my money, then I can see if it's a scam.

So after you preordered a miner and haven't received any word from xCrowd stuff you call yourself happy? People are strange...

They filled out the order form but they haven't actually paid yet, so so far there is nothing to worry about. I still think they are total scam, though.

Exactly.  If they're a scam, I've got nothing to lose.  If they aren't a scam, I've got an early order in.

Let's hope it's here by Christmas!

Hello xcrowd!

While I have gone through escrow.com payment options, there might be a problem with paying with paypal or credit card since they request premier service. I would like to know if there is any other paying option on reservation. Will there be reservation with paying also in BTC?

Thanks for all the answers!

The seller sets up payment methods Im sure xcrowd will get premier service to accept credit cards. Even if the buyer had to sign up for a higher service how is that a problem? Just sign up.

That explains everything. Tnx!!

So you're saying that all of that what is found behind those names and all of that what has happened, bad reputation or something else, prevent you to purchase from xcrowd now? In other words, if they are all of that what we found, they still cannot make a good company afterwards, if they want?

In other example: I will not name my child with name, who use it someone, who is my enemy. I will not buy that car because, someone that I don't like is driving it ... Smiley

I know I promised I would leave this thread for ever when I got my refund, but I just have to comment.

Bar, you seem like a rational intelligent person, but honestly man step back for a second and look at the reality of the situation.

Thank you, but because of this rationality I can't understand how anyone can Speculate on how Terrahash would have operated if the chips were not late.

As a company they are not going to put rush orders on parts if they can't use them yet. They are not going to spend money if it is not needed.

No matter how much the trolls in this thread want this to be Terrahash's fault it simply isn't. It is Avalons.

Sure I'll agree with everyone here on the following.

They should post a video of Optimal Hashing speeds, but that will only silent a few of the trolls on here.

The Reality of the Situation is that Terrahash promised delivery two weeks after the chips arrived based on order queue.

They made assumptions (Just like all the group buys and every that placed an order with Terrahash) that Avalon chips would arrive much sooner than now, but that is what happens when you place a "Bet". Sometimes you lose.

Terrahash made no policy that if Avalon is late then they will refund you your money. Do you think any of the group buys for chips are refunding as well? Customers made a bet on Avalon delivering and they want to blame everyone else besides yourself for that.

It's time to wake up and take responsibility for your purchase. Either mine with it, sell it, or use it as a reminder of why you shouldn't spend more money than you can afford to lose.
