881  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: June 16, 2017, 08:29:05 PM
most of the people have great prediction about the price of bitcoin. most of the people are prediction that the price of bitcoin will raise to 5000$, but currently the price is already trading a little low but people are now giving good support to bitcoin and that is the reason that bitcoin once again trading above 2400$, and therefore people are holding bitcoin for the price to reach to 5000$. i can predict that at the end of 2017 the price of bitcoin will cross 5000$.
I think it is a bold prediction,it all depends upon how smooth the forking goes and if it goes smoothly then we could see a good rally and could surpass those predictions but if it is not then it might do down as well.So everything depends upon how a bunch of people will determine how the future of bitcoin should go.

I am sometimes frightened by the fact that the price of bitcoin is determined by a small group of people. But I still hope that all bitcoin problems will be solved in the near future and the price will conquer new peaks
The small team seems to comprise the perfect development team and next a small group of members at times making a price manipulation is true. They hold majority of the bitcoin that has been generated long back.
I mean, isn't that like with all currencies in the world. There are few people who are so rich, that if they release all their money and material goods they could destroy world market. But who sane on earth would do something like that, when they have gain from it. Some one who invested time and money in bitcoin will not destroy it.
882  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to the moon on: June 15, 2017, 02:28:20 PM
I think that Bitcoin is really destined to reach the stars and not just the moon. Yes, after the dumping period, Bitcoin can have a stellar rise again and this time can go as far as 6K though realistically it can more than 3K this time. When will that happen? Well, that remains to be seen. Some are predicting that it can reach the stars early 2018. So we have to hold to our Bitcoin no matter small they might be.

opportunities for increasing it is very large. Bitcoin always provides an opportunity for a dream to come true. Prices currently ranging from 2500USD can be up to 6000USD within a few months. So, all these things can be realized if many positive effects that support bitcoin. If it does not exist then the price seems to be stagnant at rates 2400USD up to 2600USD.
Today in the morning the stock exchanges have already shown 2511 dollars for 1 Bitcoin. The performance is very good and today Bitcoin shows a very good growth comma while it really is stable. Despite small fluctuations, at the end of the year we will be able to see the real potential of the crypto currency.

But yesterday when noticed the bitcoin price. It shows arounf 2780$ but today it dump to this value. Whenever price fluctuate, we can see the big bumps in the chart normally from the past 5 months.
Next bump will take the bitcoin value to the next step, I mean it will cross 3000$ in sometime.
You think that will happen, i mean that bitcoin will reach 3000 dollars? When i looked price today i saw that it is around 2200 dollars, and yesterday it was around 2700. That is a big dump i must say, i am not sure what to expect. I thought that price of bitcoin will reach 3000 dollars till the end of this month, but now i am not sure. I am new to bitcoin, i mean i deal with it less than a year, and i have never seen this much of price fluctuation. What is going on ?
883  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: June 15, 2017, 02:23:27 PM
Just recently got into BTC; I have 2.5 saved up.
Plan on taking 25% of each of my paychecks and accumulating and seeing what will happen in 2017 or later in the year.

Thoughts? Ideas? Speculation? Advice? Tips?

 Huh
I am not sure what to think in this moment. Price of bitcoin went a bit more down than i expected, to be honest not just a bit a lot more than i expected. But it is always good to have some bitcoins saved, because it will pay off in time. Your way of dealing with bitcoin seams ok, you take money from fluctuation of price, and that is good. Till now i have thought that price of bitcoin will hit 3000 dollars till the end of thins month, but now i am not sure. I will watch closely this few days, and later i will decide what to do with bitcoins that i saved.
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: June 15, 2017, 02:17:02 PM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.
I think that it would be wise to save some bitcoins for the future. Depending on money you have, some people would save more and some would save less. I personally do not have much money, and i can not spare more than i have. I have save small amount of bitcoins for the future. I have saved some small amount that i got from signature campaign, it did not cost me anything, but in future bitcoin could be worth small fortune. That is why i think it would be wise to save some amount.
885  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will Religions die? on: June 15, 2017, 02:07:29 PM
I don't think religion will die because it's already there from the very start, religion is like the show business industry it will never die. Religion is good for health anyway so, it will stick until the end.
Yes religion was there, i mean in the past and there we agree. But i am not sure if i understand right, what did you mean when you said religion is good for our health. How is that religion is good for our health, i know some religious people who do not support medicine and doctors because of religion. I have heard of one man who forbid transfusion of blood for his daughter, because he thought that transfusion is a sin... there are a lot of cases that religion is not very good for peoples health.
886  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Meaning of life...? on: June 15, 2017, 01:28:56 PM
im sure that everyone would have thought of this at least once at some time or the other,

what is the meaning of our existence?
are we created by the gods of various religions or by some unnamed god on some random whim?
could we be living inside another world(the matrix basically)?
are we to live everyday to ultimately die?
.
.
this got me intrigued and thinking,i'm sure that many people have different opinions and different answers,so post em up,i want to know ur different opinions and answers .

One of my dreams is to live in bitcoins Smiley Maybe not rich, but so i can build optimized hardware for example XRM, ETH, ZEC etc
Life is very expensive on Capital city area even its not in middle on main City area.
More and more bills you must pay yourself Sad
I do not understand who do you mean, your dream is to live in bitcoins? You mean to earn bitcoin for living? Well than your meaning of life is easy one dude Cheesy . And if you can not afford to live in middle of city, maybe it is time for you to start thinking on moving to country side Cheesy . There you would have peaceful life i guess, and bills would be lower Cheesy .

Life is MUCH more easyer with bitcoins. Every day is survive on money situation Sad
Well i guess i can agree with you when you say that bitcoin makes life easier. For me, bitcoin is like second income, and with it i can get some small things that make me happy Cheesy . We live in material world, where everything is looked true money, and everything has its price. Sadly as much as i do not want to agree with that, it is truth. But we much not forget other beautiful things in life. More money is not everything people should think about, be humble and happy with what you got. Cheesy
887  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will Religions die? on: June 14, 2017, 12:42:00 PM
Religions made a lot of damage to human beings and our world in general. I'm not talking only about Islam, but every kind of religion, more or less, caused lots of problems.

I'm sure they will end. They won't last forever. But how will they end?

Which could the scenario that leads to their disappearance?
Like in every thing in life, there are good and there are bad things in it. It is same with religion. I can not say that religion is bad, because there are so much useful stuff in its teaching. But i do not deny bad things that were done in name of religion. I was speaking with friend about this theme, and we agree that approximately every religion live up to around 3000 years. So there you go, maybe religion will die at the end of 2999. year. Tongue

Religion does not die, but degenerates into another religion. Initially, there were teachings that were outdated and uninteresting to people. On their basis, other religions were created. They are all based on one principle: fear of God and submission to God

Replace the word God with the Natural Order and... where is the problem then? Because various religions do in fact try to represent natural order within context of human existence.

Refusal to accept the world the way it is and the way it works is not a sign of strength but rather of immaturity.

Just my two cents.
Yes, that Natural Order point of view could work, with some adjustments.  First we need to take science in consideration, and second we can not look on nature as a God or something like that. Because humans has tame some of natural things. But i think that it could be done, to live and respect nature. Something like advanced elves. xD And i agree with Illaqpt, religion does not die, it evolve.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin for Retirement on: June 14, 2017, 12:00:54 PM
If you want a retirement fund or if you want to secure your future then buying bitcoin or collecting it while you can is the best option for you to have a secured financial future state. Most of the people are putting their bank account savings in bitcoin because they believe that bitcoin has more potential than the interest which is very low in banks.
So far bitcoin seams like good option for that. And i also think that it would be a god idea to leave some amount of bitcoins for future. If we look back in future, bitcoin was only going up. Price started at some really little amount, and look it now, its almost 3000 dollars per one bitcoin. So who knows maybe in future, when it is time for my retirement bitcoin will be worth 300000 dollars Cheesy , or maybe it will be nothing.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: June 14, 2017, 11:37:18 AM
Many people are now curious to know what bitcoin is, whereas once bitcoin was just underestimated, now upside down many people stop working instead they prefer to focus on bitcoin

Is this the impact of rising bitcoin prices?
Well i think it would be a bad idea to leave your main join, so that you could come to trade and deal with bitcoin. I think that it would be better to stay on your main job, and deal with bitcoin in spare time. You could leave your main job, only and i think only if you have a lot of money and are willing to buy and start trading with bitcoin. Only than you would be able to make enough money for life. And that all would not be possible if price was not fluctuating so much.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin Improve? on: June 14, 2017, 10:25:13 AM
So to my understanding, bitcoin has two big problems and one actually corresponds to other. That is increasing high fees or else late transactions.
So the question is, can bitcoin solve these issues? I mean with increasing value of bitcoin, won't fees always keep on increasing? Is there a solution to that?
And I think that solution will also solve the timing of transactions problem.
What do you say?
Well i am not sure who decide how much will fee be, but i think there could be done somethings so that transaction fees would be lower. I know that for the miners higher transaction fees are good thing, but i do not want to pay 10 dollars for payout of 50 dollars, so that my transaction is done in acceptable time. I think they will deal with this problem, and i hope they will deal with it soon.
891  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can ETH hype be good for BTC? on: June 14, 2017, 09:27:25 AM
Hello,

First topic for me Smiley

Just thinking ...

Can somehow this ETH hype be good for BTC too at the end?
Can this help speeding up the resolution of the scaling debate?

Or when the ICO madness will be over, will the BTC gain popularity
back  as the "more secure" and "proven" tech in the cryptospace?
Well i guess that Ethereum can not beat Bitcoin, not in near future that is. Ethereum is good  cryptocurrency, but i think that even with high fees at the moment, Bitcoin is still better. And most of people that mine altcoins, later on transfer them in bitcoin, which makes bitcoin main and stronger cryptocurrency. Problem with fees of bitcoin transfer will be dealt with, it is unavoidable. There are slim chances that Ethereum will beat Bitcoin.
892  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin hit 3500$ in 2018?  ??? on: June 14, 2017, 08:50:54 AM
It can hit 3500$ already this year, by next year its anyone's guess but for sure it will continue its rise as more and more people are using it but more crucially big funds are taking a huge interest. If a US ETF eventually gets approved 10k$ is easily possible.
I am not sure if bitcoin can hit 3500 dollars price in this year. I mean it could happen, but i think that price would not stay on 3500 dollars for long. I think that 3000 dollars is more realistic price, and it could be steady enough. At the moment price is around 2700 dollars, but it is fluctuating a lot, till the end of this month i guess it could hit 3000 dollars too, but i guess it will not stay for too long.
893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500 on: June 14, 2017, 08:46:38 AM
That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500, and then 3 days later someone buys it at $2000. But I'm guessing that it's the risk involved in investing, so what do I do now? Sell? Or hold on them?
If you did buy on the price of $2500 then for sure you do feel the emotion of panic selling and that cant really be avoided and you would surely sell off to cut losses when you are a newbie but if you are already experienced and have high hopes on bitcoin for sure you will hold you bitcoin as much as you can and dont decide to cut off loses because bitcoin price do eventually recover up after a sudden dump.
Totally agree with you. Fear and panic is feelings that make people do all kind of bad things. In this case it would be selling bitcoin out of fear that bitcoin price would go down even more, and that he would lose even more money. As far as bitcoin goes, there are chances for losing, but slim ones.

895  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: June 13, 2017, 06:47:45 PM
I heard about bitcoin through a friend I swung into action by gathering satoshis via faucets after some time I discovered that gathering satoshis is waste of time and energy I was discouraged until I was hooked up with this forum which is were I got almost all  the information as regard bitcoin.
I have never tried dealing with satoshis, but thanks for information tho. I also have hear about bitcoin from a friend, and i must say that you and i, i mean people like us, we are lucky ones. Luck is in that, that we have someone to ask everything we want to know, and beside that we have this forum for rest that we want to know. Imagine how it was for some one who did not have friend to help him. Friend support is really good thing to have on beginning of bitcoin path Cheesy .
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Beginners try on: June 12, 2017, 10:26:56 AM
Hi,

Im new and I wonder if my hash rate is good 190.1/185.0/130.9Mh/s, and also I get this on sg.stratum.slushpool.com:3333

[2017-06-12 17:51:32] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block
[2017-06-12 17:51:52] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block

am I in the right track?Im confused with others, they can mine .00000100 a day
I have been trying to mine some coins my self lately, and from what i have learned so far, it is hard. Also like you i have tried to mine with my GPU, i have tried to mine Bitcoin (forget about mining it) and it is too hard, almost impossible. Only solution that is left is to mine some altcoin with low difficulty. Also speed of mining depends on which algorithm you are using. Invest some time in learning before you start mining something, that is my advice.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: June 12, 2017, 10:21:09 AM
Now when i think about it i think you are right. Personally i never considered if bitcoin is like money and could be called that, but now when i think more carefully about it i think i would not say it is money. Bitcoin is more like possessing something that is worth some amount of money to other people. Directly bitcoin is not money, but indirectly it is, like most things in our life. Most things have its value in money, so there for it is not money but it could be turned in to money.
898  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How safe is a flashdrive? on: June 11, 2017, 09:23:08 PM
I have heard suggestions here to have an offline computer where keys are stored. Even transactions that need to be paid can be saved, entered into the offline computer, signed, and the confirmation transferred back to the flashdrive to be uploaded to the internet. But this requires a flashdrive to go back and forth. So how much does that compromise security?

If one only transmits specific files back and forth to the flashdrive, is it safe? Or is it possible for a program to install itself unknowingly on the flashdrive while in the internet-connected computer?
If i remember right, and as far as i know there are programs that can install them self on your computer without you knowing it, i mean from flash-drive. But there could be something that a person could do to maximize protection of computer. First do not give flesh-drive to anyone and do not use it on computer that you are not sure it is safe to use, second have a good antivirus program, but even with that you can not be safe 100 percents.
899  Other / Off-topic / Re: do you believe in jesus christ? on: June 11, 2017, 09:12:43 PM
I do not believe in Jesus Christ. Even if books are honest about what happened and who Jesus was, i do not think he was son of a God or what ever. In best case he was some preacher who saw good in people, and wished to help other people to find peace with them selves and help other. History is full of not true facts and other people fantasy... but we all chose to believe what we want so...
900  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Men and their weapons on: June 11, 2017, 09:07:52 PM
Swords and axes are good for the purpose of posing for photos, but in practical situations they are useless (especially if your enemy owns an assault rifle). Personally, I don't own a gun. But I would feel more secure and safe, if I could get hold of one of them.
You are not right. When a person is good with a knife is also a very serious weapon in our time. I have a pistol and assault rifle. I know whereof I speak. If you have a gun, and the enemy is proficient with a knife is at a distance of ten meters from you, believe me you do not have much of a chance.

Not to mention, knives are concealed weapons, that's why they've always been associated with stealth and assassination. IMHO, children should be taught martial arts in school and that included use of these weapons and tactics to disarm them. Gun classes then come later in high school.
Thus it is necessary not to forget to educate children so that they their knowledge is not directed against people, though of course if children are well-behaved then the ability to use weapons they do not need.

I think it's really about responsible gun ownership. The way guns are looked upon now, it seems like it's treated more as a weapon of power and violence rather than an instrument of order. If everyone's gonna get a gun at one point though, it'll seem, well - commonplace. I remember here in my country, there's a province where people are said to carry their butterfly daggers like they'd wear undies. Consequently, they were polite coz things could turn into a knife fight if they don't keep their heads cool.

I also think the issuing of a personal gun when someone reached a certain age and level of mastery acts as a sort of rite of passage, imbuing the gun with a deeper meaning.
Man has always been drown to weapons, from swords to guns. Also weapon sometime represent status, so the better (Expensive) weapon you have, the more wealthy you are, but that does not mean that you know when and how to use it, and that is the biggest problem. Most of people have access to a weapon, but did not take time to learn how to use it properly. Now days people do not take weapon too seriously, and they should.

When you said status, I suddenly remembered feudal Japan where commoners can't have swords. Weapons are mass-produced now and their easier than ever to get.

IMHO this is why the state should be more engaged in education people on not just using it but using it responsibly. This might require a cultural change though. I mean, the Swiss are well-armed but they don't have mass shootings like in the US.
Exactly, feudal Japan is good choice. Quality of katana sword was in some cases status representative, and was expensive so commoners did not own them in most cases. And i also agree on second matter as well. There should be more education of people about weapon and their usage, for safety reasons only and better understanding of same.
