Even if a person happened to be perfect in all his thinking and actions, he would still have genetic "sin," handed down from his parents. Perfection is necessary, because even the least imperfection is not good enough for God.

The only perfection that is good enough is Jesus-perfection. Jesus was perfect in every way. He applies His perfection to us, if we accept it. That's the only way to get to Heaven.

Cool
You are right about that, and i can't argue. But now i have one more question on my mind. If person carries sin by birth, and if he does not believe in God, because he is atheist, or maybe he believe in something like agnostics do. How much sins we can do and still go to Heaven when time comes? And i don't think of sins which you have repented.
1262  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III ? on: February 24, 2017, 04:09:11 PM
People stop what war? Are you talking about ?! I am from Russia and we are not here to see prices in question is not about a war with the United States, who forces you to think ?! Media, Internet, TV
 Undecided

If you are from Russia, then you may be already knowing that there is hardly any chance of a military confrontation between the US and the Russia happening, at least for the next 10-15 years. And the defeat of Hillary has confirmed it.

You're right here dude. That's also one of the first things that came to my mind when trump won as president. There may be a lot of things that i don't agree with trump's policies but i think in trump's victory, we may have  just averted war. Putin may find it a lot easier to talk to trump than clinton and avoiding war with russia may very well cover for all trump's uncoventional decisions recently

Clinton had incentives to start new wars. She has strong connections to the private defense corporations (such as Boeing), and therefore she will try to start new wars and thereby increase the revenues for these corporations. Trump has his interests only in the real estate sector, and therefore he doesn't gain anything if a new war occurs.
You are not right. Trump has always said it will increase spending on defense and will be more hard to respond to military challenges. He has already said that he wants to increase America's nuclear Arsenal. Under Obama, the opposite was more mild reaction. Remember what Obama's reaction was to the war in Georgia and Ukraine. Do you think Clinton would have acted differently?
Does it really matter if Trump is now president of United States? I think we can all agree that there are several people who run one country. And not to mention that there is many other ways that War can be started. Trump will maybe always do what is right for America, but it does not confirm that he won't go to war if necessary or if he is compelled to.
1263  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: February 24, 2017, 04:02:24 PM
I dont think hate is the right word, we dont like religion and the negative aspects of it. If someone says something against something that doesnt mean hate. Everyone has the right to their opinion as long as they dont insult i think

The thing you are talking about is hating people of a different religion. Neither do people of other religions hate you or other atheists (generally). But the theists should hate the religion of atheism, because it is destroying the chance for people to gain eternal life.

Cool

Well i respect yout view here but i don't think this prospect of eternal life doesnt depend on which religion you belong to. As long as you treat other people with respect and be kind and do no harm to others, i think you're entitled to this eternal life you're talking about, if ever there is on. Im a christian but i think there's too much division already when people are talking about religion. So sometimes i understand why atheists think like that. We tend to focus too much on the religion itself when we shoukd be thinking about how we should be to other people and the environment

Even if we were perfect regarding other people and the environment, would that stop us from dying? Would it give us eternal life in Heaven? Would it be enough to keep us out of Hell?

For progress in this life and the next, we can't rely on a faulty religion.

And if we think that religion doesn't matter, that we will get Heaven anyway... isn't that kind of thinking our own personal religion. Is it a faulty one?

Cool
For people who believe in Heaven and Hell, being a good person to other and to environment is necessary thing. Because if i understand religion right, your action will be judged before you go to Heaven or Hell. If person doesn't believe in God, well i'm not sure but i think that is Sin by it self. All this just for some Afterlife that religion can't prove. But i agree, if person was good in life, even if he didn't believe in God, he or she should go to Heaven.

Since 1970. Human activities polluted in 3 ways. Air pollution by producing many of gas like co and co2... Global temperature rising 1 degree c even more. Secondly it is soil pollution. Human pollute soil with rubbish or polluted water.Third is human bring industrial waste to sea or by flow rubbish like bottle or plastic in sea. This is big affect. Recent years scientist find Global temperature is breaking its hottest record year by year since around 2010. Farmable area decrease. Fish decreasing...Freshwater quality turn bad.
In long term it would affect our health and food supply.

Technology can put an end of pollution. Nuclear plant. Even higher form of new energy. Renewable energy. Electric car. Even robot or automative society. Higher people alert. Green style life can both useful Smiley

Biggest problem of all is air pollution lead global warming. Weather change and sea level rise. Affect would by worldwide. Spieces extinct. Even human is in danger if go on 100 years later.

China is highest pollutor. While it developing and huge poppulation. Law not mature on protect. People and Government still have time to improve. But it is better and better. 20 years later would see the different Smiley

I must say that i am really grateful for your answer. I could find it out on google by my self, but that would take some time for me to find all out what i want to know. And i must say that it was more fun to learn it this way, because when you read it online somewhere you don't have the same feeling. Like this, feeling is better because you speak with actual person. Thanks again mate, keep the good work Cheesy . Hope that people will change in future and that pollution will be lesser.

How would u guys explain Bitcoin to your Girlfriend!

cheers
Well i think it would be same as it would be with any other person, male or female. I would tell them that Bitcoin is electronic currency that is used online for buying stuff, that it is more and more used in day to day life. That there is some stores that accept bitcoin as payment. And best of all would be, there faces when you say that 1 bitcoin is worth about 1000$ XD .
If your babe and give more bitcoin for purchases in stores, you will soon run out all the savings.
Hehehe i think you are right about that, but that is if i give her my saving Cheesy . I would not do that, never. Instead i would show her this great site, where she could earn her own bitcoin salary. After that she can do what ever she want with that bitcoins, spend it all on cloth or what ever Cheesy .
1266  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about immortality? on: February 23, 2017, 06:56:49 PM
I think longer lives would be fantastic, but immortality would be a curse. If only you were to become immortal, it'd be a lonely life. Especially if you had to hide your immortality. If all humans were immortal, how would we procreate? It'd be like a standstill or the planet would be in ruins from overpopulation.

We should pursue medicine, not immortality. For reasons I stated above. It's just not feasible.

Yes, but isn't main goal of medicine to cure any kind of disease and problems with human health? Even when someone go to clinical death, doctors try to bring him or her back, sometime they succeed sometime they don't. And there it is, they are trying to cure death if possible. Medicine try to cure everything even death, and in future i think it will succeed. And about overpopulation, people would find a way to leave Earth and populate other planets, that can be populated. And that will happen too, in future.
1267  Other / Off-topic / Re: When is Bitcoins going to die? on: February 23, 2017, 06:51:07 PM
Bitcoin mining is a costly business. If you do not have enough capital, it will not be profitable. Nowadays miners are carrying out their expenses by minimizing their costs.

But difficulty of the mining business does not adversely affect the use of bitcoin. If somebody leave mining, the level of difficulty decreases. Then mining would be less costly.

You are totally right there, if someone leave mining bitcoin percentage of mining will rise. But i don't think that someone that invested a lot of money, and for mining to be pay off you need really good computer, they won't leave mining bitcoin so easily. I have heard that mining in this days are too hard, and it doesn't pay off. I was thinking to mine, but when i find out what you need, i don't have that much money...

Anyone who starts to mining will not leave mining unless it is a big mistake.

Because the price of bitcoin is constantly increasing. Even if btc is not profitable today, it will be profitable for future btc value.
As i said, to mine bitcoin effectively you need good computer for that, and that mean a lot of money. For now bitcoin is rising and that is good even for me who does not mine bitcoin. But who can prove that bitcoin will live for long enough that you can recover your loses for equipment you bought? Maybe bitcoin will die next year, or maybe year after that, who knows.
1268  Other / Off-topic / Re: Learning a new language on: February 23, 2017, 06:46:25 PM
Well the best way is to practice as much as you can. For example when I was still young I mastered English by frequenting english sites and using it alot (accompanied with some studies). Right now I'm starting German from scratch using Duolingo, and it is quiet helpful! Of course you must study as much as possible. Other than that I've tried a few other apps and books. But now I'm gonna give Rosetta Stone a try (it seems good).

It is possible to learn up to a certain level with applications and books. You can learn the theoretical knowledge from such sources. But in order to learn a new language, you have to be in the environment where the language is spoken. It can help you watch movies about the language you want to learn. But the best way is to go to the country where that language is spoken.

Indeed. One should frequent the language's communities or anywhere it is spoken. Else he will have a tough time learning pronounciation, dialects and the such.

Yes, this is the fastest way to learn a language. And, you can see the video courses. There, too, you can hear the correct pronunciation of words

Video tutorials, educational books, special applications, all of which will be useful for language development. But with this kind of resources you will not make much progress after a certain place.
Because after you leave these resources, you will start talking in your own language again. In daily life you will do other work in your native language. This will also cause you to forget the language you want to learn.
You are right about what you said. There is so many ways people can learn other languages, from all kind of sources. But i think that best way is to pay for professional teacher to teach you. But as you said, to master some language you need to use daily. If you master some language and you don't use it for some longer time, you will have hard time speaking it fluidly.
1269  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in time travel? and if so where would you go and why? on: February 23, 2017, 06:42:33 PM
Yes, I believe in time travel. I want to go back to 2009 and buy many bitcoins.
Don't make me laugh. If you had the ability to travel in time all you could think of is buying bitcoins? I know we are on a bitcoin forum but this is so childish  Grin
You really wouldn't want to see ancient Greece, Egypt, bring home some artefacts from the jurassic period, but waste this to go back 5 years and buy bitcoins. You could just invest in Apple in the 80's...

Why go back to just 30 years, when you have the capability to go back millions of years? Here is my plan. I will purchase a few AK-47s and a few thousand rounds of ammunition. Then I will travel back 2,000 years to some Latin American nation. I will become the chief of some small tribe, and using my firearms and knowledge of technology, I will conquer the entire world in less than two decades.
I can already tell you how it would end up.
Since you're completely new to this you'd end up lost in the jungle or bitten by poisonous snake or spider, catch a fever, whatever and die carrying your AK's before reaching any village.
Even if you managed to do it and present your power by shooting someone you'd be worshipped at first and then assassinated in your sleep or poisoned by some other power hungry warrior. Also in the jungle you wouldn't stand a chance against a tribal warrior with poisoned arrows and blow darts, because he could hear and smell you from afar and you wouldn't even know where to aim your weapon.

It's funny how many people would kill themselves (just like you) when given a time machine.
This was funny to read i must say, and i totally agree with your way of thinking. There is too much that people does not take in concern when they say that they would do this or that. To have AK-47 in that day and age would be really good, but as he said, they don't need firearm to kill you. So i suggest that you take T-90 with a lot of fuel, so that no one could kill you in your sleep XD .
1270  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: February 23, 2017, 06:37:09 PM
One of the simple things would have to be is that people forget the most simple and basic facts based on the notion that they could always just google it if they really need it or something along those lines. Using google and all the other online services removes us from really having to know and think about a particular issue. You just put in a couple words and google spits out billions of results about a particular topic.

It's a wonderful service, but the ability to learn a false narrative by someone with an intense political bias is very high on the internet. You have to know what to weed out, it's tough

Isn't that same in life too? People talk all kind of weird things, some of them are true and some of them are false. We can learn so many things just by talking with other people, but that does not mean that what they say is all true. You need to think and find out for your self what is truth and that isn't. Its same with internet and google.
1271  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: February 23, 2017, 06:32:54 PM
Well, religious people hate other religions as well... It is only fair for atheists to hate those who don't believe in their religion of there being no religions.

saying atheism is a religion is like saying baldness is a hair color

oh yeah, my religion is no religion, makes total sense....not .
but then again i don't blame these pious folk who think this way.
this is typical logic coming from their brains unfortunately infected with that insidious nasty virus called religion.

I agree, it is not smart to say that atheism is religion. Atheism is conviction, maybe its near belief, but its not belief truly. But i don't agree that people who believe in any religion is "infected" or anything. I have meet some really smart and good people, even when they found out i don't believe in God totally didn't try to convince me in there point of view or told me i am wrong. We even had really good conversation on religion theme.

Atheism is not religion. Religion lives on faith and believe of the supernatural beings and God while atheism does not. Atheism does not faith on the supernatural beings since it is very illogical for them. They dont hate religion but they just dont want to join. They are contented with their lives and religion is a waste of time. Atheism is not a religion but a conviction.

Atheism is religion because science and nature prove that God exists, and atheists can't rebut this proof with any facts. See the proof:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1054513.msg16803380#msg16803380.

The way that atheism is religion is that atheists have a god, or many gods. Each one of them sets himself/herself up as god by stating that God does not exist when it is proven that God exists. Which god is greater? The real God, or the atheist-god that tries to have strength greater than God by denying His existence in the face of the evidence and proof?

In addition, just because an atheist doesn't know that atheism is a religion, doesn't refute and rebut the definition of religion that says (indirectly, and by inference) that atheism is a religion - http://www.dictionary.com/browse/religion?s=t.

Cool
Interesting point of view i must say. That is why i said that atheism is near belief, because they believe that God does not exist. But to call it religion by it self, and to take that on some level atheists think they are gods, hmmm well that is interesting. On some level i think you are right, and i think that we are small "gods" , because some people can effect on other people life more that they think. We can create life and many other things, that is why i said we are small gods.

Among the believers is about 1% of fanatics. They actually represent a major threat to other people. And it's not for a particular religion. This applies to all. Now it provokes hostility with the Muslims, but look how many actually Muslims are ready to commit a terrorist attack.
You are right for what you say about fanatics. They are the real problem in every religion. I personally don't hate Muslim people, and i try to be objective about things in life, but somehow the most terrorists attack are made by Muslim religion fanatics. And that is why people start to not like them. I don't think its religion on its own what is the problem, but people who preach it wrong way, and people who are dumb enough to think its truth.

Just wondering, why do people become vegan Is this because of health, ethics or something else?

I am not sure why people would start eating only vegetables and fruit. I am also interested what make people do that? Maybe it is that they think they will live healthier life if they don't eat animal products, or maybe it is because or religion, but i don't know any religion that prohibits eating all animal products. Some maybe won't eat because they love animals so much... It could be many things.

I do believe in time travel, and if one day people make time travel machine, whether that will be bus or automobile or something else, I would like to go back or in future. But there is one science proof that says, even if you are able to travel back in time you would not be able to change anything, because events that happened in past lead to time where you traveled back. So if something change you would not travel back in time and that is it...

So I see 2 threads of why islam hates people or why people hate Islam. I dont see the point of such a mundane debate based on religion any debate for or against religion would be stupid. Either you are stupid to believe what a prophet / god / divine entity said or you are stupid enough to believe you can change the minds of the bleak minded people who follow such a prophet / god / divine entity.

But since its fun let me initiate my own brand of 'why do' topic.

WHY DO ATHEISTS (like me) HATE RELIGION ?

Seriously what has to happen in a person's life for them to seriously give up hope on the one true everlasting brand (of religion) which their ancestors have followed for generations.

Everyone has their own story even I have mine, so lets hear some of it.

You see, most of people want to be right. And from there everything begins. It is hard for someone when someone tell them that some part of there life is not truth and that there were wrong in believing in something. Imagine what would you feel like when someone would told you that you are wrong and that science prove that god exist? For someone who was passionate enough in his or her beliefs it would be quite a blow on there mind.

I have never heard about rooting a phone till i have read your guys posts. I have google it a bit and from what i have found is, that it is a bit tricky thing to do. If it is a new phone it says you can lose your guarantee for phone if you root it. But it sound good for person to be able to set his or her phone the way they like, and that should be an able.

If you have done it several times, it's easy.
Good instructions you find on https://www.xda-developers.com for example
And at any time you can reset it and re-install an original Android firm version.
But logically download or backup before.

Thanks for the information and web site, i will check it out later because i don't have time now. I will need to be careful because i have never done it. I would not want to mess up my phone, it is a bit old but i don't have money to buy new XD . I think this will keep me busy for sometime, to make everything the way i want Cheesy . Thanks.
