1121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade or Hodling on: September 06, 2017, 02:41:43 AM
It's a mix of both cause sometimes I day trade and sometimes I hodl depending on the coin when it will reach my target price. There are times when the price of the coin that I bought will immediately be reach because its news related and price suddenly pumps and there are others that will gradually go down and then I would wait for some time to go back up again to reach my price. Sometimes, I am not patient enough to wait so I close my position even if I am at a loss or break even cause I found another coin and another opportunity that has a potential to reach my target price sooner.

I don't really have a consistent trading style for now and most of the coins that I trade are news related so usually it would just take an hour or days to reach the target price but sometimes when its not and it took too long, I would just sell it because of impatience and I know that I should change this attitude cause sooner or later, I will just blow my account if I continue this. There should be patience in trading.
1122  Economy / Economics / Re: get the same opportunity on: September 06, 2017, 02:24:51 AM
in this forum we have the same chance to be able to get bitcoin even with different background and skill.

which is my question is why at first when we first know our bitcoin eagerly surge, day and night are always online, but when it reaches the level of senior level member it is saggy, what tips do you use so we keep the spirit in collecting purse bitcoin purse?

When someone is new to bitcoin, you need to work hard to learn as much as you can and then after learning the basics and read too much information, after a while when you read it over again, you know that already so you are searching for something new and since you are doing the same thing everyday, somehow it makes you feel bored so you need to try out new things like trading and other things you didn't try before so that it can again lift your spirits up.

Maybe your soul is weak and you need inspiration to keep going so you need to get back to your purpose of why are you doing this in the first place and then get back that enthusiasm that you had at first when you started bitcoin.
1123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: September 06, 2017, 01:56:36 AM
Bitcoin is usually used by people interested in technology. I mean, persons with a certain technical knowledge are interested in bitcoin.

My observations are that way. I think Bitcoin needs to reach larger quantities. Can use bitcoin in people who are not interested in technology?
Can people use the bitcoin in the profession group like tradesmen, teachers, housewives, firemen, butchers? Are we going to see the days that these people use bitcoin?

They can still use it as long as they know how it works. Nowadays, bitcoin is slowly reaching the masses and maybe after a few years it can have mass adoption so it can be use by the ordinary citizens. All of us started from having no idea how something works and then later on, when we see that almost every one is trying to learn it, we will also be interested to use it just like the computer before. No one immediately knows how the computer works but eventually when it spread like wildfire, we are force to learn for fear of missing out.

I believe these would eventually happen to bitcoin and since some countries already regulate it, sooner or later other countries will follow suit if they see the true potential of cryptocurrencies and the technology behind it and then it would eventually be use by anyone who has accessibility and capability to use it.
1124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use Social Media for Bitcoin on: September 06, 2017, 01:44:49 AM
Social media is a good venue to promote bitcoin because just one post can possibly reach thousands of people depending on someone's followers or friends and when it is shared by them, it can even reach more people. Almost all people who are using the net has social media accounts so if they see something new and welcome the new idea of using bitcoin then they may start sharing it to their family and friends which can become potential users also of cryptos.

The disadvantage to this is that some people are taking this opportunity to promote bitcoin but their purpose is not to earn but to scam other people like making HYIP sites and encourage people to invest to them and later on be gone not paying even a satoshi that would sometimes make bitcoin a scam currency to some people especially the newbies.
1125  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: September 05, 2017, 02:52:22 AM
I think some cashless societies may exist but I do not think the whole world is going to be able to make that transition, we are in the 21 century and half of the population of the world do not have access to water so it is difficult for me to believe that we could do all of our transactions online when things like that still are happening around the world.

I am also positive that there would be a cashless society in the future but then it would not be implemented worldwide cause there are still places in the world that have not even transitioned yet to information age because they even lack the basic necessities. It would be hard to implement something that not everyone can participate on cause they lack the basic tools to do it. Maybe for us who are already in it and have access to it can easily say that its possible but there are still so many who are not aware of it and when you pitch to them something about being cashless in the future, they would think otherwise.

I think cryptos would co-exist with fiat money since there are so many things that should be done to implement the cashless society. It's co-existing now and it would continue for decades cause technology is so slow especially on developing countries.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost All Cryptocurrency have fallen on: September 05, 2017, 02:39:45 AM

it is normal that all cryptocurrency price are dropped, no need to panic because some of big whale are stayput on their chair waiting for this moment to buy some and hold.

other says its because of chinese government who banned ICO but i think it is not the reason's why. maybe it has a effect but not too much or totally the reason,  like i said it is normal to all alt-coins to drop.

We all know that cryptocurrency is a volatile market so something like this happening is not that new and because of bitcoin is in its corrective phase, other altcoins followed suit cause many are panic selling and maybe will get out totally to cryptocurrency or would just wait till price is going back up again. We can observe that price is still going down today and we don't know where is the bottom to this but of course there are speculations of where it is so for others who can take this fall, they will hodl and for others who panic, they get out. I think during this time, this is a test of who really can take the appetite of being involved in cryptocurrencies.

The idea is that veteran traders took profit when price is in ATH or almost high and then others followed suit and since it made the price go down, others panic sell and push the price down further. The announcement of China banning ICOs affect some altcoins thus it goes down as well and eventually almost all altcoins are down.
1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: September 05, 2017, 02:04:20 AM
I have been trying to earn bitcoin without investing for months already. And i tried to earn through signature campaigns. There are of course other ways to earn by mining and staking coins. However, for staking coins you must have ways to get them first before you can earn more. As for mining, cpu mining is hardly possible for most of the POW coins now. And it is even meaningless as the gain can hardly offset the electricity.

There are a lot of things someone can do to earn bitcoin without investment in this forum alone. Just in the marketplace in this forum, you can find ways to earn like selling some goods for bitcoin or do services for others like joining signature and social media campaigns. If you have some skills then maybe find a job that is looking for someone like you that possess those skills. It's not money invested here but time and then eventually when you earn you can start investing or trading which can help you earn more.

Earning bitcoin through faucets may be an option as well but it will take time to accumulate and they are giving only small amount but if you have so much free time then you can try it and then build up your referrals so that you can still earn even if you don't spend much time on it. It would require hard work at first but eventually, if you have already established something then you just have to maintain it.
1128  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: September 04, 2017, 02:05:43 AM
I think that Bitcoin could really improve the economy of a country. But it depends on how government people or politicians would handle this kind of business very well. If they would just use their power and connections just for the sake of them being rich then I would say it would not make our economy improve because they would just improve theirselves. But if they would handle it like they really wanted to end world poverty and be sincere about helping people and the economy of the community then I guess I would have to say it's really a miracle who would ever be a government politician would be that kind of people.

Yes I agree. Bitcoin can help the economy if this will be use properly by those people who are in power. There's no use if they will just kept rejecting it because their countrymen will just conclude that it is not good to use that kind of coin and they are also the one who control the mainstream media which has a big impact in persuading the majority to use or not use something. Maybe in their own little way, bitcoin users can help the economy by converting it to fiat since there is still a limitation of where to spend the coins and then buy something thus helping the businesses earn and the people who work for them as well.

Maybe those bitcoin investors who have earn large sums of money would consider making a company related to cryptocurrencies and then hire people. This way they already have contributed to the growth of the economy by reducing unemployment.
1129  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: September 03, 2017, 06:40:22 AM
For me bitcoin does not reduce unemployment because there is no employee-employer relationship that take place rather bitcoin helps does unemployed people to earn income even without permanent job and while at home while waiting for job opportunities.

I believe earning bitcoin reduce unemployment because there are others that considered it as being employed. We cannot say that there is no employee-employer relationship because by doing services for others, you are considered as employee by the one hiring you doing services for them. It may not be the usual way of going to office and do a desk job but it is more of a freelance who works online to earn.
1130  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: September 03, 2017, 06:25:03 AM
In our value-based capitalistic economy, intelligence and financial intelligence go hand in hand.

In the vast majority of cases, they are both required to achieve success on a large scale although they rarely come in hand.

Intelligence is found in all financially intelligent people whereas financial intelligence is not found in all intelligent people. The combination of both intelligence and financial intelligence is a profound asset in succeeding financially.

We can observe that not all people who are book smart are rich because of lack of financial education and there are people who are not that smart but rich because they are street smart. There are ones who are both book smart and street smart and they are the ones who usually are more successful than people who are either book or street smart.

When I am still studying, I thought those who graduated with honors will automatically have a successful life because of what they achieved and then those who almost flop may not be that successful but then life has a way of showing that this is not the order since I have observed that there are some who graduated with honors but still struggling in their jobs and some who almost flop are filthy rich because they are smart in a different way and more educated financially.
1131  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are bitcoins only for the educated and knowledgeable people only? on: September 03, 2017, 06:08:39 AM
For me, it isn't. We have different talent and knowledge on how we give and do stuff that we love. Bitcoins are for everyone and we have the chance to try or even have this to earn and save money for our future.

How about you guys? Is it only for the educated and knowledgeable people only?

Bitcoin does not require someone to be educated like having a college degree or higher but you need to be knowledgeable with regards to bitcoin on how to use it cause how can you transact with someone if you don't know how to do it. If someone is willing to learn something, he will do what he can to understand it and those who are willing to earn from it would invest their time to learn more but you don't need a degree to learn it all.

Maybe you can say something about being educated and knowledgeable because of the signature campaigns requiring quality posts but one doesn't need to have a higher degree to participate in one as long as others can understand his post and can contribute something to bitcoin community.
1132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What services you wanna see with Bitcoin ? on: September 03, 2017, 05:58:12 AM
Movies ? gambling sites ? exchanges ? what kind of service you want to see involved with Bitcoin more ?

Pretty much everything that fiat can be used with. Being considered as a mode of exchange, I wanna see bitcoin being used as payment to local stores and can be used to buy real estate and cars. Nowadays, it is expensive to use bitcoin to purchase small value items because of high transaction fees but if in the future it can be lowered then it will be much preferred to be used directly to buy these items and no need to convert to fiat. I would be amazed to pay school fees with bitcoin as well as payment in government agencies.
1133  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: why bitcoin illegal in asia? on: September 03, 2017, 05:41:39 AM
There are some countries that prohibit the usage of bitcoin in their countries because bitcoin has been used for illegal activities and some terrorists as what they say so as for protection for them, they totally made bitcoin illegal in their countries for them to avoid something like this happening. Some countries also ban it because it is prohibited in their religion to participate in gambling activities and some illegal activities.
1134  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: September 01, 2017, 12:41:36 AM
Bitcoin volatility make it a good investment opportunity and equally a very risky investment too. I Will advise you to only invest what you can afford to lose and not the whole of your capital. Although there are speculations that its value may reach $10,000 by January next year. So if you buy now you should be able to double your capital by January next year and it could  turn the other way who knows.

That's right. We never know what will be bitcoin's value in the coming months or years so we should only invest only what we can afford to lose. It may be so attractive to invest a large amount because your money can grow fast in just a short period of time but then the opposite may happen as well because bitcoin's value is volatile. The speculations of its price being doubled or tripled in the coming years are possible since expert traders are saying it and its not just one but many of them. It's important that you should have investments in other platforms as well may it be related to cryptocurrency or not to reduce risks and having a source of income in case other investments failed.
1135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin Dream? on: August 31, 2017, 11:50:54 PM
My dream is to have a comfortable life not worrying about my financial needs anymore because I would have enough for the rest of my life and my family as well whenever it may be. Discovering bitcoin and realizing that my dream would be possible through it is just overwhelming. I am just glad I am part of this community before its mass adoption. I may be too late that I just discovered it last year but better late than never.

If I have the money from my bitcoin earnings then I would have a business that can be an alternative source of income like having a real estate and I will lease it so that I will have a passive income. I would buy some land as well because over time land's value is appreciating so I would always have gains in case I wanted to dispose it.
1136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading altcoin and holding bitcoin which one is more profitable? on: August 31, 2017, 04:06:30 AM
I have come to realize in recent time that holding bitcoin in ones wallet is more profitable and a little bit risk free as compared to trading altcoin or what do you think ?

In my point of view, trading altcoin is more profitable than holding bitcoin because when I trade and have profit, I would have more amount of bitcoin than before thus the value of bitcoin also increase than just merely holding it. It is risky but then the higher the risk, the higher the reward and it would also depend on the person if he is a risk taker or not. I am willing to risk and I believe that if I practice more in trading and be more experienced then eventually I would be able to grasp the trading psychology in the market backed by technical and fundamental analysis as well.

When someone wanted its coins to be safe and almost risk-free then he can choose to just store it in his wallet for a long term investment because eventually, the value of its coins will grow since bitcoin's price is slowly climbing and from the positive reviews of experienced traders, the possibility of it getting higher in value is high.
1137  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: August 31, 2017, 03:54:11 AM
The price as comparison is a huge gamble eventhough the point is right but the reality is the risk. If you stumble from gold investment for its physical value can't change it is still be available in the near future except it was stolen or lost. Bitcoin we all know that it can be high now but it might lost soon without any notice. It is how we look at it that matters.

Bitcoin has defeated gold in terms of price and being used as the new hedge in times of economic uncertainty like what is happening now but then gold is still higher in market capitalization and being known worldwide. Gold is still the known one especially for the people who are not tech savvy and some would still prefer precious metals over digital currencies because of price stability. Someone that wanted to secure his assets would prefer precious metals over digital assets because of its price that is not fluctuating since digital money nowadays is still very volatile and in terms of popularity, gold is known by the masses and bitcoin is not yet that known.

1138  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Freedom on: August 31, 2017, 03:39:16 AM
They are not actually into crypto's but they are adopting the blockchain technology. But I have read some banks that they are trying to adopt bitcoin and some other major alt coins. This is a good news though because they will add demand to bitcoin but the bad thing is bitcoin will be taxed and we can't live with freedom anymore.

Instead of banning bitcoin because it is a threat to the traditional banking system, the government find a way to benefit from this by regulating it so that they can still get a share of our transactions. I know that tax may sound bad but we are also benefiting from the taxes and our government cannot function without its blood which are the taxes.

Being a citizen of the country, we are still oblige to pay whatever taxes are due from us from our income since it is part of our duty. Sometimes, it is just hard to pay taxes when we see that only a few benefited from it like the corrupt politicians or agencies.
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why do governments don't make BTC illegal worldwide ? on: August 31, 2017, 03:12:03 AM
Because government can still profit from it through taxes that they got from the exchange that we are using. Instead of getting rid of it, they knew that people would still use it so instead of fighting it, they join by regulating it and make it legal instead. They can see that cryptocurrencies are getting popular and more people are choosing it in times of uncertainty. Before, gold is the one chosen by people to hedge against uncertainty but now bitcoin is the one rallying instead of gold as evidenced by this article:

1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: August 30, 2017, 03:42:49 AM
If one is not careful before placing a bet they can misjudge the outcome and make mistakes - though all mistakes are not avoidable but at least one can control emotions to stop making a wrong decision. The player is solely responsible for their greed and if they are greedy then they must control it. Many people have been greedy in gambling in the past and ended up being broke. One should keep gambling as a mode of entertainment and not for making money.

This is the way I think to control greed in gambling which is to make it is as a mode of entertainment rather than for making money because if the aim is to make money then you cannot avoid to be greedy because you wanted more and more cause that's the purpose. When you lose, you will naturally wanted to get it back so you gamble more and since your emotions is heighten because of the losing streaks then you cannot decide rationally which can lead to more losses. If the opposite happens that you won and then greediness strikes in which you will think what if you will have winning streaks so you will be rich soon if that happens. It's just never ending which can lead to gambling addiction and ended up being broke.
