221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has Bitcoin reached its goal? on: August 01, 2018, 05:04:05 PM
I wouldn't say that Bitcoin has reached its goal but it is very well on the track towards becoming a currency that will be an alternative to the fiat currencies. Bitcoin is currently at number six position among the world currencies. This is pretty huge if you think about it.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you do when someone say bitcoin is illegal thing? on: August 01, 2018, 04:49:00 PM
Well you ask them if cash is not used by these terrorists and hackers. Now since cash is mostly used by these people is that person going to stay away from cash too? The people having such thoughts in regards to bitcoin have been influenced by the  media and likely wont believe into what you have to say.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life usage of bitcoin on: August 01, 2018, 04:40:42 PM
Regarding your confirmation times question. Well that's why layer two solutions are being developed like lightning network which makes transactions instant and extremely cheap. Also Bitcoin is being valued based on the future value it might have and without valuing it high enough large investors wont get interested in the Bitcoin markets.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you do when someone say bitcoin is illegal thing? on: July 31, 2018, 05:02:06 PM
Frankly speaking you don't say anything. Cause there is no sense in trying to convince them as they have been fooled by the media into believing that Bitcoin is only used for illegal things. With time they will understand how wrong they were in thinking this way about Bitcoin and how big mistake they made by staying out of the crypto markets.
225  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you still believe in btc price predictions? on: July 26, 2018, 05:49:25 PM
The $100k Bitcoin price prediction is actually quite reachable in the next three years. As that price range is just x5 from the current Bitcoin ATH price of $20k. And if you look at the past bitcoin gains than all those predictions frankly look quite achievable. Although saying that Bitcoin will reach 1 millions dollars at this stage would be a bit too much.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOW TO STOP HACKERS TO HACK YOUR CRYPTO WALLET on: July 26, 2018, 05:41:38 PM
The biggest way to prevent hackers from stealing the coins from your wallet is to use a completely different PC or OS for crypto wallets. This way the hackers wouldn't have a way to get into your system if you only ever used the wallets. If you have a substantial amount invested in crypto markets than I would advise you to get a hardware wallet instead.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why shouldn’t we be concerned? on: July 26, 2018, 05:36:22 PM
Well no one said that you shouldn't be concerned. But the reason why most of the people might not be concerned is cause they understand the risks of investing in the crypto markets and probably only invest what they could afford to lose. Also if you have trust in the Bitcoin project than there is nothing to be concerned about.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safety can not come to the bitcoin investor on: July 26, 2018, 05:28:57 PM
I'm unable to understand which risk you are talking about. As the biggest risk that a bitcoin investor faces is not being able to securely store his coins. Which can be done if someone takes proper security measures like storing their coins in hardware wallets, etc. Other than that I cant think of any other major risks.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I continue to invest? on: July 25, 2018, 05:28:04 PM
No you should stop right now. You yourself mentioned the stats yet you are asking people on this thread for advice. ICOs are a bad investment and you should stay away from them and prevent your greed from taking over you. Why don't you instead invest in some already established altcoins.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: July 25, 2018, 05:18:52 PM
This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."
Well there are guys who have lost their wallet files with thousands of bitcoins in it. So this is a small incidence in comparison to them, not to forget the guy who lost millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin after he dumped his drive into a dump yard. The total amount of Bitcoins lost forever might be in the millions.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lets talk Logic! on: July 25, 2018, 04:49:05 PM
The volatility that you are talking about is the biggest thing that attracts new users to the bitcoin markets. Without this volatility you can expect the markets to be boring and not much traction happening. And the debit and credit cards that you are talking about charges 2-3% to the business owners which they don't have to pay with cryptocurrencies.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation on: July 24, 2018, 05:27:16 PM
The governments aren't looking to regulate Bitcoin but to ban it. But they aren't able to figure out a way to do that due to the decentralized nature of Bitcoin. But today or tomorrow the governments will have to regulate Bitcoin and it will be a bit good too for the industry as it would prevent hackers and scammers from getting away.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin in Southeast Asia be legal? on: July 24, 2018, 05:04:05 PM
Frankly speaking not many countries have legalized Bitcoin let it be United States of America or any other western country. You have to worry about those countries first before even thinking about Southeast Asia cause they are the ones who can increase adoption of Bitcoin fast.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Is Not A Cryptocurrency? on: July 23, 2018, 05:35:08 PM
Everyone says that Ripple is not a real cryptocurrency cause it doesn't follows the basic rule of cryptocurrencies being decentralized. Ripple has most of its supply locked up and controlled by its creators who inflate the prices by controlling the supply. Also blockchain can turn out to be a bad tech for centralized currencies.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the main reason for india to ban cryptocurrency on: July 19, 2018, 06:30:27 PM
Well the RBI of India banning cryptocurrencies is old news and they have already said that instead of banning cryptocurrencies they will regulate it as commodities. Its time now that the crypto world stops reacting to the country ban news as its mostly FUD and never turns out to be true.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what price will you panic and start selling coins? on: July 19, 2018, 06:24:11 PM
I wont panic until Bitcoin price goes below $1k. Also if you have trust in the project than there is nothing for you to worry about unless some major flaw in the blockchain technology gets discovered. Plus if you have not invested more than you could afford to lose than there wont be anything for you to panic about.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money on: July 18, 2018, 05:37:51 PM
Well we don't need to regulate the crypto markets completely. We only need little regulatory over watch because without it the scammers and hackers are going to become fearless. The crypto market is already going through so many hacking attempts and without any regulation there is going to be chaos.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people want ETH to over come BTC on: July 18, 2018, 05:36:16 PM
Yes, because Bitcoin has grown enough that they won't be able to make similar profits like earlier. Where as the price of ethereum is still low in comparison to that of Bitcoin. Also those who weren't able to get in early into Bitcoin have the opportunity through Ethereum.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why does coins change price constantly? on: July 18, 2018, 05:32:23 PM
The price change that you are talking about is called volatility. And this happens cause the whales manipulate the cryptocurrency prices to create volume and make profit by trading. This volatility attracts new users and traders who want to make quick profits. Without this volatility not many people will be interested in the crypto markets just based on the technology.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Cryptos finally getting stable? on: July 18, 2018, 05:25:07 PM
No I don't think the market is getting stable. This could turn out to be a bull trap. As many people are expecting a bull run but usually the opposite happens in the crypto markets of what everyone is expecting. Also I think it would be too early for the markets to recover after such a long bull run we had last year.
