The most irritating cases are those which gives you no prior warning and ask for the KYC in the end. If you don't undergo the KYC process, then the bounty is lost. This has happened to me a few times here and I had to forfeit my earnings.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet hacking is it possible?
|
on: March 27, 2019, 03:45:21 PM

Just like an account where one's fiat currencies are kept so also is wallet where digital assets or cryptocurrencies of crypto lovers are kept. Can the wallet be vulnerable to hacking and if possible how can that happen? If you have experienced it before, I want to learn from your experience.
I keep most of my BTC/ETH in online wallets (Blockchain.info and MEW). But I am forced to keep some of the alts and tokens in exchange wallets as installing a desktop wallet in each case is simply not practical. Fortunately, none of my online wallets have got hacked till now.

Very valid point. I have already submitted the scanned copy of my passport to at least a dozen crypto-exchanges and this is something that I am not very comfortable with. I think I may have to depend on the decentralized exchanges to trade by tokens.

Meanwhile Cryptopia have been enabled lots of trade pairs, but deposits and withdrawals still down. Appears that they're moving the assets to the new safe wallets, first until then we won't be able to withdraw.
If that is the case, then they should have disabled the trading as well, right? I had around 0.1 BTC at the time of hack, and it looks like I may lose around 15% of that amount. Anyway... some lessons are learnt the hard way. We are not supposed to store our coins in exchanges...

It is good if it's done right but I'm just wondering about the 2% interest rate? Will that 2% interest rate be fixed from the date you made a loan or will that also be volatile?
2% monthly interest means 24% annual interest. This much high interest rate is not viable even for fiat currencies, and here we are talking about an asset such as Bitcoin, which is protected against inflation. This is just another scam, just like thousands of similar ventures in third world nations.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cryptocurrency banks needed.
|
on: March 26, 2019, 05:53:45 PM

Makes no sense. One of the factors that motivated Satoshi was the idea of creating a currency that can be kept outside the control of the banks. And the advantage with BTC is that you can store the currency on your own. You don't need a bank account for that purpose. And for trading, you have thousands of crypto-exchanges out there, both regulated and unregulated.

Today is the second match for Finland after being defeated by Italy in the first match so they have to win to open the opportunity to go the next stage
Armenia is not a good team and while on other hand Finland also need someone on their team to score. They are really struggling to score against good teams. I think the upcoming match is a good opportunity to go ahead in sheet and I think today they will make most of it. Right now Finland is leading 1-0, with Fredrik Jensen being the scorer. Reasonable performance by Finland, given that this is an away match for them. Only dark spot is the yellow card earned by Glen Kamara.

What are your thoughts about the latest injury of Jusuf Nurkic? This is the link to that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvolan-diXY. Not advertising the video but, dude that was a gruesome injury and I thought not to play basketball more because of this. I think I might be playing 2k19 because of this. Just watched that video and I was literally horrified. He is going to miss this season for sure... and I'd consider him extremely lucky if he is able to play next year. As per the reports he suffered compound fractures to his left tibia and fibula. Five years back, the same happened with Paul George (Oklahoma City Thunder).

I don't know how this can be sustainable. With each block reward halving, less and less coins will be mined. If the prices don't go up exponentially, then sooner or later these mining farms will be forced to cease their operations and file for bankruptcy.

Low price of Bitcoins will attract new people to join the rally, now that a lot more people can afford to buy a ''Full Bitcoin''
Not really. This argument was proven to be false during the last major correction (2014-16), and the same is happening right now as well. As you might have noticed, the growth in the new users have slowed down considerably and the most important reason for that is the price crash.

The most important parameter that matters for me is the last 90 days or 180 days price change. I have been collecting crypto for more than 7 years, and from what I have seen, once a coin goes down the chances are that it will eventually die out.

This post makes no sense. How can you say that earlier they were not affordable, and now all of a sudden the situation has been reversed? All the cryptos are infinitely divisible. So the question of affordability does not arise.

Investing in real estate can be quite risky, at least where I live. During the last two decades the purchase prices have gone up by anywhere from 10x to 100x and many of the experts are saying that the market looks heavily over-priced.
