Imho nowadays Bitcoin is a better bet. If Bitcoin falls, it drags the altcoins with it. If Bitcoin grows, the altcoins will have a delay in following that growth.
So right now Bitcoin is the better choice and there will be a moment, after Bitcoin growth/recovery, when moving some of the funds into altcoins will make the profit increase even more.
