Not criticising guys just making an observation. To be honest that observation is only based on 3 days of watching so its really ill informed anyway  Tongue

Stayeduptolate I did mention the soccer but i did notice they werent yours. I haven't had the chance to take some of your picks yet except Seattle which was a win. Smiley Looking forward to next weekend.

Regarding the picks then how do you normally play them. I am betting 1% of my bankroll at the moment per pick. Is this your strategy?

4 percent Smiley but yes my 3 picks tonight or Indiana clippers and over 5 goals on dallas stars games Smiley!

I've got all those three and a parlay on the two basketball games. Smiley

Hi all

Have been watching you and your pics for the last few days and have had a couple of bets on your shouts. Seattle was the one that came in but some of the others didn't.

I have one observation though. Your record is obviously very good but for example the two soccer games tonight, Inter and barca were picked, were strong odds on favourites. 1/5 and 1/10 respectively.

I just wonder how many of your results are favourites and what you would actually be up in real terms? For example if i bet 1BTC on 10 games all of them being favourites. If i only lose 1 or 2 of them i could still be down in real terms as the winnings from the others is not enough to cover the losses.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already but its al long thread. Thanks

Seriously, there have been times where I'd pay $0.50 for 0.001 when I realize that last transaction fee put me slightly below what I need in my hot wallet and I don't want to break my paper wallet.

Can you explain this please? I didn't know you could break a paper wallet

Like breaking a 100 dollar bill..  To get into a paperwallet requires you to put the public address and private key into wallet software to make a transaction on the network.  Thus the paperwallets security has been comprimsed to use some of the BTC in it.

Oh, I get you. I thought you meant actually break it. Smiley

437  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: October 28, 2013, 05:38:47 PM
You know, instead of free entry for women, or attracting women with wealthy guys and sports cars, why don't we just spend the next few months (years?) focusing on getting more women actually interested in bitcoin? That would be quite a bit less sexist. Plus if you meet single bitcoiner women there, you'll already have something in common.

+1

If I were female, this thread would discourage me from attending.

Honestly, I don't think it will be an issue. The San Jose conference, while still mostly male, had a significant number of women in attendance and I'm sure the trend will continue toward a more equitable ratio.

All very idealistic but not as simple as you make out i fear. I talk to people all day long about BTC and try to get men and women excited about it equally.

The fact is that bitcoin, bitcointalk forums and most techy stuff is a predominantly male environment. I'm sure with mass adoption this will start to balance out but there will always be more men involved. At something like the conference where everyone is focused on bringing together ideas and meeting people to get involved with on a business level then the ratios won't matter that much.

At a party where everyone is up for celebrating their belief in bitcoin succeeding and drinking lots of alcohol i think that a 9-1 ratio of men to women would be a massive sausage fest buzzkill.

I like rassahs ideas of getting more women involved with bitcoin and like i say i am sure it will balance out over time but if there needs to be incentives for women to turn up then i think they should be in place.

Homework for today is to get one female friend hooked on bitcoin Wink

440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Current ATH: $500 on: October 28, 2013, 07:38:31 AM
Not massively reliable. Theoretically you could make a sell offer at $1000000 per bitcoin then open another account and buy 0.0000001BTC for $1.
