Yeah, btc keeps increasing while some altcoins keed decreasing. I have an investment in some altcoins and Im planning to trade it to btc when btc drop. I just hope that I will still get profit in trading some of my alts.
This is not the time to expect any profits from altcoins at all. Whatever the coin that you invested in is, its price goes up only when people invest in it. Since the price of bitcoins is already going crazy enough and making a lot of people huge profits in a matter of minutes, no one will look for any altcoins now. You can either sell for a loss or wait until this wave is over and price kinda stabilizes. When the profits of daily trading isn't high in btc as it's now, that's when altcoins get some attention back. Oh my god, btc just went up by another $300 ! It's totally unbelievable and I still believe it will crash a lot soon. I actually sold what I was holding (I'm not a long-term hodler) at the $6100 peak and it started going down a little bit but looks like it wasn't the end. Bitcoin supply are 21million and were at 16+million of supply already. I think bitcoin will rally until 1st quarter of the year since more and more promising projects from ICO are born which want to compete with bitcoin. More and more people are trusting bitcoin even its volatility in the market because of its high profitability unlike in altcoin which are really dump now. Hope they will also have a pump now.

Failon Ngayon is just as fucked as the news just made by the researcher of the episode. Not even knowing bitcoin and making it as a FUD for themselve. Bitcoiners in the Philippines are a lot wiser than this and not as blunt as this reported. Also OP are speaking about another platform which is not bitcoin. Very misleading topic here that make the thread so confusing. I have saw people posted it on facebook and by reading the comments, people really disagree on the episode Failon aired. Hope that this will be cleared to all my fellow Filipino's about bitcoin specially the newbies here in the forum.

This is just simply they want their profit or badly needing cash. Most of the time, traders decide to convert again their bitcoin to dollars when there's a FUD occurs in the community which they expect bitcoin to have a little dump just like what happen to China exchangers. Others may have an emergencies for having an immediate selling of thier bitcoin like hospitalization or a credit that has to be paid to avoid delays.

Bitcoin is only a tool to support the existing blockchain technology that are being develop today by many investors which believe in projects they choose. Pertaining the value of bitcoin, because many people invest on it, the supply of bitcoin increase due to the rising in the demand of potential projects that would have higher return of investment if successful. Popularity maybe a factor but I think its the performance of the project would be the basis of its value. If bitcoin will be a big contributary to those project, then the value of bitcoin will rise as per demand of it will also increase.

These guys are just trying to hitch on the Dimon hate bandwagon. How can you possibly and realistically think that he doesn't know about cryptocurrencies? This guy hates on Bitcoin to manufacture a price drop, then buys the dip. That's not something an amateur would be capable of pulling off. If anything, I'm pretty sure he's more knowledgeable about the subject than most people.
But yeah, Dimon is a fraud.
We still don't have any proof that JP Morgan's CEO is buying Bitcoin when the price dropped as said by him that it is the company's policy that they are prohibited to buy Bitcoin. But nonetheless what Jamie Dimon did is totally unprofessional creating comments about Bitcoin but only giving the negative side about it and not showing the whole picture. Also calling his employees stupid for buying Bitcoin is really crossing the lines of being a CEO. I think Dimon is just skeptical with bitcoin. Because of this, big media plays a big role to his quote and making a big scene that hurts the cryptocurrency market. Likewise, FUD become more and more also to people that are new to bitcoin which only knowledge was limited. Karma is real form Jamie Dimon

Do you think that sometime in the future, Bitcoin might overcome Paypal, as it scales in capacity and userbase over the years? We already have the ability to create our own marketplace with OpenBazaar, that uses Bitcoin as its payment method, so it should be no surprise that the combination of these two may be a fierce competition for both eBay and Paypal. Nevertheless, feel free to vote on the poll above and express your opinion about it, if desired. I think yes. Nowadays almost everyone converts the form of payment into bitcoin. I prefer bitcoin than paypal. My paypal account has been limited. I called and talked but they did not help. I will never use paypal again Yeah, you can see in this forum, the primary payment method is Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, there are not many people still choose PayPal for business in the make money online community at present (for short is MMO). Other large forum about MMO also choose Bitcoin the primary to make deal. Being anonymous is the primary idea of blockchain technology. Trust is more present in paypal than here in the forum. Paypal are use for shopping and transfering money worldwide unlike bitcoin which are use in trading and investing on ICO platforms. Both of them have different use so I think either of them are to be compare to each other. Maybe they can be in one platform in the future. Who knows?

bitcoin illegal some asia country bt why?can you give me some reason about this?? thanks
First and one & only big reason is government fact i think because few asia countries government thinking is very bad on bitcoin.Bitcoin having a very bad effect those countries. So they announced bitcoin is illegal coin. Not all. I think you are only pertaining to China because of their recent news of closing their exchangers. But other country are open to this new technology which they think that may contribute to their economy. Asia countries are still afraid of bitcoin because many people are afraid of scams which are usually in the news of big medias. I think theres should be a summit to discuss this technology to further educate every country in asia what bitcoin can do.

Hi guys, I just want to know your views and opinion about the difference in Electronic Money (Bitcoin and others) and the Physical Money. Many people now a days are still confuse about the existence of the Bitcoin and how it differ from our Physical Money that we are using to buy necessity. I hope we could share and learn from each other. This is hard work, to convince someone that with bitcoin is safer than with physical money. If some wants to learn about it i suppose it is easier if it make a correlation with the plastic card, those are digital money to, they can't see or touch them. The same goes with cryptocoins, just that is an other, let's say foreign currency. Comparing bitcoin and paper money will naje you realiza that even the paper money is still used anytime from noe it can be outdated because if money. But it will not be easy because the regular way of paying is using paper money. Nit all peoole knows bitcoin and how to get things done using bitcoin especially here in our country where internet connection is very slow. Paper money are still the best when buying necessities because the price never change unlike bitcoin. Bitcoin cant be use without internet and because of its volatility, your never assure if the price will go down once you buy an item.

Not so long ago we've all whitnessed bitcoin at price 2k usd per btc. Now it is 4k. Sometimes before buying BTC I have a strong feeling that the price will fall pretty soon and I hould wait a bit before buying. Usually it all ends bad. Anyone have the same problem? How are you dealing with it?
I hope you got rid of your mental barrier because bitcoin broke not long ago the 6000 mark and I think we may reach 7000 or 8000 before the end of the year, I know that it does not fell right to pay thousands of dollars for something many people in the forum got for free, but they took a risk and it is paying off. If you can able to handle the risk then we might somehow assure ourselves that it will really pays off later on when the price tends to rise up and yes sometimes we do really doubt on buying because we do know the nature of bitcoins price which is too volatile. We wont know if we buy now and sudden decrease its price then we do really lose money but yet coming into another side bitcoins price do always tends up to recover later on and even reaching out new heights. This mental barriers really affects our buying strategies specially if we are putting a lot of money on it. It will varies to the average wage, for an ordinary workers which are limited in buying this will be really difficult unlike like others that have an extra money to buy bitcoin. I think it depends on the capacity not on mentality.

After banning ICOs and cryptocurrency, is the Chinese government now having a change of mind by reestablishing Huobi to start operations again? I read this online somewhere lately.
This is just a decoy and a confidence booster again on they’re bitcoin community as they failed tremendously last September after rumors and news of banning ICO and closing exchanges. I don’t think they really change they’re planning of replacing/controlling the cryptocurrency market. A new one will occur this end of the year or next year. China will keep on trying until they can feel satisfied but those days/years will not come easy because those investors like us will not allow them. I think they will use the blockchain technology by themselves. It more better that way because of their big population in their society, they can balance the movent of the monetary of thier country which blockchain was design for.

Of course they have taken a sharp u-turn because they failed to do what they want to. Cryptocurrencies and bitcoin are unstoppable, countries have realized it now and they are accepting this reality. With the volume they left last few months, I think the market will rise again. Imagine their exchangers to operate again, this will be another history to be written in the cryptocurrency world. Bitcoin will be unstoppable before the year ends
