121  Economy / Auctions / [WTS] Auction 220 chips ordered 30th April (zefir batch 6) imminent delivery on: July 23, 2013, 10:13:43 AM
I'm looking to sell my 220 chips ordered the 30th of April.
I prefer selling them in one batch starting price is 45btc I may close this auction if not enough interest once burnin reopens his assembly service. Be quick.
I'll accept escrow but the buyer should arrange everything and pay the fees.
122  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [CLOSED] Avalon ASIC chip distribution on: July 23, 2013, 10:00:36 AM
.I'm considering selling my 220 chips from batch 6. Before burnin reopens his assembly service so if interested be fast. I'm looking for no less than 50 btc PM ASAP if interested

Burnin, you said you will give us 24h notice prior to website opening. We will also need to have price quotes for all the accessories (cables, psu, watercooler solution etc.) before you open the website so we can make our calculations to have the required funds ready.

Where on the website does it say this? I don't see it on the news section.

Also no queue position update...

from kncminer website:

No email :/
126  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 13, 2013, 02:30:27 PM
If i remember correctly then burnin stated that the order of assembly will be the payment time of assembly, not of chip ordering. Thats the first paramater. The second is when chips arent there yet then later orders are processed first. For example someone bought assembly for batch 7 in zefirs groupbuy and batch 5 isnt with burnin yet then he starts to create miners for the chips that are already there but paid later.
I think thats a good solution without problems.

He said that the payment time of assembly will only be relevant for assembly position within the batch your chips are in, so If you are the first to order on his website but you have your chips in Zefir's batch 7 it'll only mean that you are the first from batch 7 to get your chips assembled.
Which is consistent I think with my proposition of opening the ordering book by turns for each batch based on date, to avoid having to match and sort thousands of random orders with their chip batch number.

Clarification coming up:
The batch is relevant, because that's the order in which I will receive the chips.
Even if you were to be the very first person to order on my website, i could only assemble and send you your boards once I received the batch your chip are in.
And that's why the batch is relevant.
Within one batch the succession of the order number is determining the position in the queue.
127  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 13, 2013, 10:20:53 AM
Yes this was exactly my idea and I think it makes the most sense.

Let's see what burnin thinks

I don't like the idea of adding the order row from burnins website since the beginning. IMO it's an unneeded and annoying additional variable, which ends up beeing like a lottery game.

The easiest way could be, to just use the order sequence and date in the particular group buys and merge these lists. Somehow like this:

Group buy SebastianJu

13.04.2013 200 Chips ordered by user XXX for DEV burnin
15.04.2013 100 Chips ordered by user ZZZ for DEV burnin

Group buy Zefir

14.04.2013 100 Chips ordered by user YYY for DEV burnin
16.04.2013 100 Chips ordered by user WWW for DEV burnin
18.04.2013 100 Chips ordered by user WWW for DEV burnin

Order row:

1. 13.04.2013 200 Chips ordered by user XXX for DEV burnin
2. 14.04.2013 100 Chips ordered by user YYY for DEV burnin
3. 15.04.2013 100 Chips ordered by user ZZZ for DEV burnin
4. 16.04.2013 200 Chips ordered by user WWW for DEV burnin

Because all ordered Batches will probably arrive at the same time, later stock up buys could be accumulated on the first buy of the same user. There would be no need to verify the Batch-No. during the ordering process and no mess with stock up buys.
128  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 13, 2013, 09:21:08 AM
Correct me if I'm wrong but he just said that batch number will be relevant, but he didn't specify how the actual process will work.

The problem with asking for batch number during the ordering process is that he will need to also implement a checking feature, to filter people making mistakes (or intentionally) and choosing a wrong batch number for their orders. Maybe asking for a signature with the ordering address? it sounds cumbersome.

That's why IMHO it should be nice if he gives the specifics about the ordering process so we know how important (if at all) it is to order fast once the website opens.

Maybe burnin could ask for the batch and orderplace in this within the orderprocess...

much better, then the database will do the magic. since burnin seems to be a professional, I have no doubt he will get this managed too  Cheesy

He has already stated that he is using Chips and order scripts. I doubt he will change anything, since he thought up the process already.
129  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 13, 2013, 08:51:28 AM
Hi Burnin since you'll be launching soon the ordering website I'd like to suggest a way to avoid and ordering/preordering/chip-batch matching mess (like what happened with KnC).

All chips come from batches and all batches are time-stamped so once you figure out which group buys are interested in your services, it should be very easy to organize a queue based on batch ordering date. It'll make sense for example if you open orders by turns to specific chip-batches based on ordering date, instead of opening for everyone at once and flooding the website and having to match orders to chip batches afterwards.

For example you first open order books for Zefir Batch 1 from April 16th (assuming this is the earliest one) for like 3 days or so, then you open order books to the next batch based on ordering date, and so on and so forth...
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 12, 2013, 10:00:00 AM
I preordered  around the same time (your preorder number is 19x and mine is 20x) and the 3 device limit was supposedly in place. I even asked Sam by email if I could increase my 3 device limit somehow, little did I know the website was exploitable/improperly configured allowing anyone to order unlimited units. This is not your problem Zefir, you did nothing wrong. It's a problem with KnC, but it explains the negative attitude since it's not fair.

Quote

I pre-ordered 100 beginning of April, long before they limited pre-order size to 3. And I ordered and paid 24 Jupiters, as stated right after payment here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=228525.msg2433502#msg2433502

Why this negative attitude? Why doubtful, when I have been as transparent as it can get? Sorry if you feel offended by something I did or did not.

Peace.

132  Local / Hardware y Minería / Re: Proyecto ensamblado klondike 16 chips Barcelona (fase desarrollo) on: June 11, 2013, 10:09:04 AM

133  Local / Hardware y Minería / Re: Vendo Miner de 50 GH/S on: June 11, 2013, 07:26:48 AM
134  Local / Hardware y Minería / Re: Avalon DIY on: June 10, 2013, 10:16:37 AM

Roll Eyes )
136  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GROUP BUY] 100 KnC Jupiter 1-500 on: June 08, 2013, 07:17:41 PM
Zefir can you specify your pre-order number for this devices? or at least what range it was?

How the...?! You have a hundred unit preorder in the first 500 orders??

As written in OP, when KnC first announced, their products were priced somewhere at k. with a exchange rate of +, 100 units totaled at 1.5k BTC - thats the amount I am still putting at risk.

Wasn't it like 3 per order for people in the 1-500 group?

Anyhow if it turns out KNC is not going to be able to deliver, there's going to be a whole lot of fucked up people who will be in debt/bankrupt.

Too many stupid people getting ASIC mania these past few months.

The 3 unit limit was not there when I pre-ordered. It might have been introduced lately, but from the order system I am able to checkout all 100 (see screenshot in OP).

Yes, this is risky. I guess KnC collected already several millions, and it will be a sad day for the community if they fail - which is btw the case for all other ASIC manufacturers.

Bitsymcom no dice nada
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178168.0

Bitsymcom no dice nada
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167726.1200

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=203745.60

138  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 06, 2013, 11:31:01 PM
Yes Burnin it'll be helpful if you could clarify this. You've stated previously that the batch number our chips are in will matter, but you didn't explain the specifics and how it relates to order placement on your website. So, can you explain us how will it work?

Again thanks, I'm eagerly awaiting new renders of Bitburner XX to print them and hang them in my walls  Cheesy

I'm part of SebestainJu's Batch #2 order, does it really matter when I place my order on your website (once it's up), as long as I place it prior to you receiving the Batch #2 chips -- I imagine you would complete the entire batch before jumping to other customers.  Is there an order of batches that have priority with you?
139  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 06, 2013, 03:19:49 PM
Burnin do you have even a rough estimate on the website? We know you're working on it, but it'll be nice to know at least roughly when do you expect it to go live, mid/late june? july? so that can we make arrangements instead of checking the thread several times a day during weeks.

Thanks

Yes, up to 16 Modules can be combined into one cluster through CAN-BUS.
The bus connection is done via 10 Pin ribbon cable.

And please don't start another flame war, thanks.
