381  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of the BTC on: June 06, 2017, 06:27:08 AM
There is nothing wrong with bitcoin, it remains a pioneer and the coin with the most value at the moment. The votality is part of the attraction and unless you are a losing trader, it shouldn't be a big deal. Sure the technology could improve. You should change the thread title to the future of "Minexcoin"
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beth ICO ( Beth.jp ) Another Scam in cryptoland on: June 05, 2017, 12:10:02 PM
It may not be a scam, but there are a lot of questions which their representative is not answering.

Not every one can come to the meeting in Japan, how about making some effort to answer some of the concerns raised in this thread.

I tried searching for the Beth team online, and so far I've had no luck. It doesn't bode well,

384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Holding On To Your Bitcoin? on: June 05, 2017, 09:29:52 AM
I am trying to hold as much as I can. It ain't easy, I spend a bit when it is absolutely necessary to. I also think the bitcoin ecosystem needs people to spend, trade, exchange. Imagine if all the early adopters held their bitcoin.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think DOGECOIN is the future of Altcoins ? on: June 05, 2017, 08:06:07 AM
Dogecoin has been in serious decline on its development side. This has been ongoing for some time now. And things continue this way, it wouldn't last long as a serious coin.

doge needs new features, but this is not happening at the moment as there is no active development. And without development the network will organically wind down.

386  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Using Bitcoin ATM on: June 05, 2017, 07:12:09 AM
I once used a bitcoin ATM a while back, I was very excited to use on, until I saw the fees and I thought never again! 12% fees on my total transaction was more than I could bear. The fee was much higher than using my visa card. I never used it again ever since.
387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Annoying trading moments? on: June 04, 2017, 01:55:19 PM
Trading is generally frustrating, and it requires a lot of patience to be successful.

Since I am not a very patient person and I wasn't making any profits, I decided to code a bot to do my trading for me.

It felt like a good idea, and everything was running smoothly, until the bot failed to fire on a day I wasn't monitoring it, and left me deep in red.

390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian's own Bitcoin - What will be the impact to the original Bitcoin? on: June 02, 2017, 11:56:13 PM
By all accounts, this will be a centralized coin. A "national virtual currency". Expect more countries to jump on the bandwagon and create their own coin.

This will nothing like bitcoin, It will be the blockchain/cryptographic version of the Russian rouble, controlled by the Russian central bank and the government. Nothing more.
391  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crash is gone, and we will see 3,500 usd within 60 days from today on: June 02, 2017, 08:51:23 PM
Don't be too sure, anything can still happen. The price could skyrocket as suggested, but it could also plummet. Whatever happens, this is a very important month for bitcoin. I can see it consolidate $2500 at the very least.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: user to user betting on: June 02, 2017, 03:25:47 PM
For sports betting, there is betbtc.co and fairlay. Although I get the impression that someone or a group are behind seeding fairlay bets.

Fairlay has more liquidity compared to betbtc,  but betbtc offerw live betting, although liquidity is quite low. They both are the closest thing to pvp/betfair/exchange betting.
393  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: want to buy & hold bitcoin & ethereum - software choices on: June 02, 2017, 02:27:06 PM
You already have a lot of great answers here, but I want to share another very easy non technical way for cold storage.

1 Go to https://www.myetherwallet.com/
2 Follow the directions! (Super simple)
3 Print out your public/private keys and QR codes (They format nicely and look great once you print it out).
4 Deposit funds to your public key.
5 Check https://etherchain.org/ for your account balance by entering in your public key in the search box.
6 **optional (HODLLLLL)

395  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading VS Bitcoin! on: June 01, 2017, 09:58:55 PM
Trading is risky especially day trading, which could lead to massive losses. It takes a special type of person to short trade.

As an investment however,  without knowing what the future holds, holding your coins for a very long time is profitable. But then it won't be "trading"

Mining on the other hand,  can be very profitable of you have a large capital. I won't advice to do it small scale.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet for creating multiple BTC addresses with labels and names? on: June 01, 2017, 05:51:27 PM
There are startups making this service available include Onename and Netki. Their services are built on top of Namecoin, a blockchain Domain Name System (DNS) platform.

You should be careful though, it is risky depending on third parties to generate/customise wallet addresses. There could be security breaches if your private keys are leaked.

For partial customization,  you could try vanitygen.
397  Economy / Securities / Re: Suggest me best and trusted, oldest site for btc investment. on: June 01, 2017, 03:36:05 PM
If you don't mind gambling investments, you can try moneypot.

Invest in their global bank roll, but be aware that, investing there, like every other investment does not guarantee a profit.

If you are looking for long term passive income just buy bitcoins and sit on it.

400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE BEST BITCOIN WALLET on: May 31, 2017, 10:14:48 PM
I usually don't recommend using online web wallets, but on the rare occasions that I use one, I use mycelium for android. It is possibly one of the best android web wallets, but I treat it like I would a normal physical wallet.

I don't put in more than I can afford to lose by accident in it, In my case, maximum $200 equivalent in bitcoins. You have to be careful though, if there is a malware out there that can grab your private keys, it could spell trouble.
