421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Poll on Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner on: December 16, 2016, 10:03:59 PM
Is it realistic to expect that the new Nvidia cards could be good for monero? Smiley
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoin to mine with GTX 1050Ti? on: December 13, 2016, 10:09:13 PM
Zec is your best option, you can get about 150 sols with the current version of Nvidia miner with the 1050Ti. The above suggestions are not correct. Eth/Exp is bad for 1050ti.

You find 150 sols for zec profitable ? Don't know if OP have to pay for power since he uses only one GPU, if not ZEC may be fine but if you have to, even at some average power cost you are looking at 10$ per month profit which is definitely not profitable

Yes because 1050Ti will only take 50W for that performance. I am not saying you will get super rich, but it is profitable.

Did you change the payment threshold from 0.01 to 0.1 BTC? I really dont to wait a week for a payout.

Can confirm that with -ca settings you can get over 400 sols, but only temporarily since it slows down.

Actually, stock GTX 1070 gives 295 Sol/s!  Shocked

well with the private 2% fee from that guy we are at 260 sol 100w, 300 sol at 130 watt isn't better, but it's nice to know that a 1070 can probably overcome any amd in the near future

But on stock it is a better result. So it would probably also be faster at 100w? Smiley Moreover from what I have seen the nicehash miner uses more memory than GPU so it could be even more effective?
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low profit mining, something is about to change? on: December 08, 2016, 10:48:02 PM
The profitability is fine, you can still break even very fast (usually after 1,5 - 2 months) which makes it low-risk investment.

EW:  with the new version 0.3:

GTX1080 ran about 2 hours and then:

This is what happened to me with 0.2 version, but now it works fine for quite long hours.

Hey,

Very nice miner, work out pretty good.

6 x GTX 1070 EVGA FTW @1800:4400 / +30% vcore / 50% PowerLimit (690W on wall about 100w per card) / ~260sols per card.

Pretty stable, switched to 0.0.3b as soon as you published, but it crashed twice after a moment, rebooted to be sure, running it now.

Using dwarfpool - W10 AE x64 - Nvidia 375.70

Features request

- restart/watchdog demon
- Linux release (asked alot lol)
- Remote console (i noticed a --port 3333 in example bat files what's it's for ?)
- logging
- -h option to know the switchs
- how to add a worker/email
- pretty much everything that's trendy now (intensity, per gpu settings, temps)

Keep up the good work, very nice job Smiley

EDIT : After a few more try, the 0.0.3b really crashes alot, rollbacked to 0.0.2b

How do you change the Vcore with EVGA card? Smiley I have tried all kinds of versions of software and it is locked everywhere. Once i go TDP under 55% i cannot go over 1600MHZ on the GPU.

Hey Smiley i use MSI afterburner because EVGA tool isn't good and also don't support 6x gpu's only 4x Smiley you can with it either set % of added vcore for stability or do your own vcore curve for stability during automatic throttling of gpu frequency, in afterburner option you have voltage unlock, it'll let you play with them after that Smiley

Thanks will try! Smiley

with the 2 instances trick, 1700 core, 4300 mem, 55 tdp, i get 255 sol per gpu(1070) at 700 watt total, whole system with 3 fan 14mm, each gpu is hashing at 100watt

fucking efficient above 2:1 ratio

How do you get 1700 core at such low TDP? My card always falls to 1550 with high OC.

your core is set at +120?

+196. With more OC the card starts to be unstable. Also for me it does not seem that three instances do better than two Smiley

There are some stability issues. Two of my rigs went down throughout the night. One with error " Some threrad is dead restart / Thread exited with code: 0 and the second rig only detected new work and did not accept any share. Third rig is working with no problems.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 07, 2016, 08:11:51 PM
On Nanopool the hashrate and profit is also in line with the miner for me - using 6 hour averages. This is great work! Thanks! EWBF! Smiley
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 07, 2016, 02:08:18 PM
Everything is fine here for me it takes about 155W with 100% power, with 55% power limit about 85 W. Still testing the best underclock settings. All measured from the wall.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 07, 2016, 12:51:36 PM
Also confirm 280 sols with high OC. I dont think i will be able to get much more out of this.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: December 05, 2016, 08:47:57 AM
Yep, zec and eth heading to $5, not sure about btc and xmr. And still newcomers asking help to invest tens of thousands to mining hardware.

Interesting to see where this goes, right now it doesn't look good.

some of them have nearly free electricity, from 1 to 5 cent, so it make sense for them to invest in mining, everyone would invest with cheap energy

but even everything collapse you just sell to gamers, no big risk here

People who have free electricity are in the absolute minority (and it probably wont be long before they get evicted, check BCT for stories on that). Electricity costs around .03~ are commercial rates and you can't get that without an actual business, which most people don't register as and you can't get at a location deemed residential (your house). Electricity rates aren't anything new, surprised it took you guys this long to look at the power companies website... Commercial rates are available everywhere.

I don't think you understand the concept of 'risk' dude. You weren't around in '14 when you had to sell off your hardware for 40% of the cost of what you bought it for. When people start dumping the GPU prices crash. There isn't enough demand on eBay to suck them all up. How many gamers want 20 GPUs?

Not just that, but eBay and paypal fees are around 12% all together. You can kiss that good bye. I'm sure gamers want to buy super low end processors with six PCIE slot motherboards. Bonus throw in some PCIE risers as well! Cause good luck selling those. Used PSUs and small SSDs also don't sell well.

If you think you're going to resell your 1070 for $400 and you're going to recoup 90% of your cost you're in for a surprise if things fall apart, ohh and it's a doozy.

I dont know about USA, but in my country it is really easy to sell graphic cards. People will call you in minutes after you have put it on internet. So no problem selling cards here. Also Nvidia cards especially under warranty hold value very well and i will sell them at about 80-85% of their initial price without any problem. So I agree with Amph, the mining risk is minimal unless you go for a really big farm.

Anyone please help how to setup start.bat for zcash mining on suprnova? Smiley Cannot find any readme or manual anywhere thanks! Smiley
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Did anyone already assembled a 1050 rig ? on: December 03, 2016, 02:30:23 PM
I would rather opt for 1060 which seems like a better buy for mining. Its hashes are very decent especially for zcash with more potential coming.

Miner automatically closes without any message after couple of found share IDS. Anyone knows why? It closes randomly, sometimes immediatelly after start, sometimes after couple of found shares. Never lasts more than minute though. Two GTX 1070, getting 260 sols with OC per GPU before the shut down.

are you sure you OC aint to high, I can not manage more then 245 maybe 250 per 1070

Yes you are right on default it does not close. So we will see where can I get.
