201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: July 03, 2017, 08:40:51 PM
With the Ethereum 30% hashrate drop for AMD cards r9 280x / 380x / RX400 / RX500. starting in epoc 140 (in 25 days)
Genesis mining and the others with  legacy hardware will burn.
NVIDIA owners are not affected.

Yes that is great news for nvidia miners ( for the rest of ETH mining) Smiley
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm advanced NVIDIA & AMD GPU miner [1.2.6a] on: June 30, 2017, 05:49:55 AM
Too bad the Ethereum does not work on any other pool than on nicehash. Also wasnt able to manage 33 MHS as stated even with very high memory. It is probably tested on samsung card with +1000? - Not many cards can reach that.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm advanced NVIDIA & AMD GPU miner [1.2.6a] on: June 29, 2017, 04:02:42 PM

[09:23:10][0x000016d8][warning] net | Net error: JSON member "error" not expected type: Array

Run with full file logging, then when you see this error, past log file here. We will know exactly whether eu1-zcash.flypool.org or lbry.suprnova.cc does not honor stratum protocol (most likely flypool, we've had issues with their ignorance in past).

Yeah I am getting the same error or nanopool or ethpool, cant run anything. Sorry dont know how to enable loggin, first time using your miner Smiley
EDIT: Dwarfpool also not working
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: June 26, 2017, 11:13:53 PM
Are the three cards on a separate PSU? If the answer is yes, you've got your bottleneck right there.

Iv got one 750W Gold on two Gtx Ti
Those 7 cards are connected to 4x 750W Gold PSU
So you've got FOUR power supplies for one rig??

Yes FOUR 750W power supplies for one rig, 3x 2x 1080Ti for one power supply and one 1080Ti + motherboard and cpu.

haha dafuq Cheesy

All in usd, eur, cny

FIAT is oldschool

Bether to keep them in cryptos.

Anybody testet tether?

Tether Tether (USDT)

http://coinmarketcap.com/assets/tether/

Fixed to usd currency.

100 million USD has been transfered to tether since may.

I think it is important to have a good diversification. Almost all of the cryptos have too much correlation to keep your money diversified, so I keep about 35% of money mined in cryptos (5-8 coins in portfoilo). I cash out the rest and use in other investment options that are stable and of course not that profitable.

I of course used the money also to buy rigs, but it is quite turbulent now + ETH pos so I am cashing.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how to wire 6 evga 1070's ftw on: June 24, 2017, 12:23:14 PM
It says that each 1070 requires 150w that would be 900w and what about the power consumption of the other components? You don't wanna reach the max and blow out the psu with all your gpu's with it right? Yeah get those cables if you are planning to go forward with that psu but my recommendation is getting a 1200w minimum or two 750 if you can like link them together (not sure how you do that but I've seen people doing it) and get a platinum or gold efficiency. You don't wanna go cheap on the psu but buy expensive 1070.

No the 1070 is the most effective at around 120W, the 1000W is sufficient for any 6x1070 rig. The additional pull that you get from FTW version is quite useless for mining.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Difficulty +11% in less than 24 hours. on: June 21, 2017, 01:46:29 PM
It looks like ETH price crashed 20% and the difficult rose 20% regardless of hashrate drop and 17 seconds to find a block now, which means ETH became 35% less profitable, in just few days, imagine in few weeks. I wonder when the people who bought rx 4xx r5xxx series for 700 usd will commit suicide. Their end is near.

WTH are you talking about?...

ETH is just one coin that currently is the most profitable, but others are close behind. There are tons of other coins that will still give a nice profit. Everyone seems to be so scared about ETH becoming more difficult to mine or whatever, but the age of cryptos has really just begun.

I don't give 2 poops about ETH dying off with their idiotic difficulty bomb and artificial difficulty increase to force people to leave before they switch to POS(hit). I'm actually hoping every miner will leave to better things soon and let ETH crash and burn (or maybe rise and shine). Personally, I don't see POS as a good thing for the ethereum network and I don't see how it will make it better as you'll just have a few large players buying up all the coins to get the work contracts. Maybe the price will rise to 1000$, maybe not. I'm holding some, but will be switching to ETC today, just waiting on my next payment...

Oh man you really dont understand that this is all one interconnected market, saying I dont mine ETH, so it will not influence me is the dumbest thing ever. Good luck buying new gear and going bankrupt with this attitude.

we definitely need new exchange for XCN, BTER and BTC38 is still sucking with withdrawal issue.

Btc38 everything is normal

Yeah also normal everything here.

Apart from suprnova pool disconnecting all the time.

btc, eth, ltc withdrawal not processing if it bigger then 1 btc
well now it seems you cant exchange XCN on BTC38 at all, says something about maintenaince? Anybody knows details?

210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Difficulty +11% in less than 24 hours. on: June 20, 2017, 03:50:36 PM
So the ASICs miners are already showing their claws, make no mistakes gentlemans, difficulty fast pumps are directly connected to more hashing power in the ETH network (aka ASICS miners), bye bye ETH GPU mining.

Nah its just proof the gpu shortage is not real, large farms have access to GPU's in mass quantities

I dont think so, this is too much in one day even for the biggest farms. I also have some contacts to suppliers in my country and there really isnt that much cards availible even for the biggest of players.

Whats wrong with suprnova pool? It is nonstop disconnecting and connecting, as I see this is for the whole hashrate.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Difficulty +11% in less than 24 hours. on: June 20, 2017, 08:57:12 AM
I see different numbers than you do? 801,268,268M - diff? But even that is quite a jump.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What affects more on hashrate (Eth/ZCash) - Core Clock, Mem Clock, Memory Size ? on: June 18, 2017, 11:44:15 PM
Maybe someone can help - I wonder what affects more on hashrate (Eth / ZCash) - Core Clock, Mem Clock, Memory Size

Taking the same core chip (GeForce GTX 1060) and the same memory (GDDR5) - what will affect more on hashrate  - 3 Gb or 6 Gb memory ? What difference in hashrate will be with the same core clock andmem clock with 3 Gb and 6 Gb video card ?

What should I choose among GeForce GTX 1060
 - 3 GB / Core: 1506 (Boost - 1708) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 331
 - 3 GB / Core: 1544 (Boost - 1759) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 346
 - 6 GB / Core: 1506 (Boost - 1708) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 366
 - 6 GB / Core: 1544 (Boost - 1759) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 404
 - 6 GB / Core: 1594 (Boost - 1809) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 427
 - 3 GB / Core: 1582 (Boost - 1797) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 428
 - 6 GB / Core: 1607 (Boost - 1835) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 430
 - 6 GB / Core: 1632 (Boost - 1847) Mhz / Mem: 9100 Mhz - $ 432
 - 3 GB / Core: 1556 (Boost - 1771) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 440
 - 6 GB / Core: 1594 (Boost - 1809) Mhz / Mem: 8108 Mhz - $ 450
 - 6 GB / Core: 1645 (Boost - 1873) Mhz / Mem: 8208 Mhz - $ 461
 - 6 GB / Core: 1556 (Boost - 1771) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 473
 - 6 GB / Core: 1632 (Boost - 1860) Mhz / Mem: 9026 Mhz - $ 476
 - 3 GB / Core: 1531 (Boost - 1746) Mhz / Mem: 8000 Mhz - $ 496
 - 6 GB / Core: 1594 (Boost - 1809) Mhz / Mem: 9126 Mhz - $ 500
 - 6 GB / Core: 1645 (Boost - 1873) Mhz / Mem: 9026 Mhz - $ 500

You can overclock your card and that depends on the sillicon loterry so this list is totally pointless.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dual Mining ZEC & x pair with NVIDIA cards on: June 17, 2017, 10:18:56 PM
you cannot dual mine ZEC. It uses both GPU and Memory too much.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX1070 x 1080 x 1080TI - which one with the best ROI? on: June 17, 2017, 10:02:08 PM
The only cards available with my shop right now are:

MSI Geforce GTX 1070 Quick Silver 8G OC
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0
MSI GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G

I believe the best one is the EVGA, but the max power draw is 215W, so that's way too much.

I thinking of the MSI Armor one, simply because it's 50 dollars cheaper than the other MSI.

Anyone have any opinions on those cards?

Thanks

None of theese cards are a good option for mining. EVGA FTW and Quicksliver cards need 8+6pin so you will have a cable fuckup and large additional costs with PSU.

Your best option is the MSI GTx 1070 ARMOR 8G - but those are not in the production anymore, so you are most probably talking about MSI GTx 1070 ARMOR 8G OC version, which again has 8+6 pin of power needed.

If you really want to buy those cards then you will have to go for Dual PSU overkill to have enough cables.

In this situation I would try to analyze if it is not more worth it going other options such as the 1060.

I would recommend the 1080 only to those that have very good knowledge of algos and coins and can make use of that card to its fullest.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: June 14, 2017, 08:21:17 PM
There is no bug with alexis78 miner. You can start all 7 gpus at the start with a simple command. Had no issue on all of my nvidia rigs ( 6 - 7 gpus).

Here is a snapshot of the alexisminer bug:

13:45:12 start the miner (6 card celeron rig)

4 gpu thread's is starting (3 seconds delay) and produce almost nothing, and the pool is reducing the difficulty to get a response.

13:48:31 The 5th gpu thread is starting. (2.5 minutes later)

The 6th gpu thread was enabled after 5 minutes of mining.

As I have said multiple times on this forum, if you just use cuda-schedule 0 than all of the cards start at the beginning with absolutely no problem.

218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Recommandations for NVIDIA rigs ? on: June 11, 2017, 06:39:28 PM
After some studies I conduct it appears I will go with 12 Nvidia GTX 1060 and I have come down to only these 2 model of the cards

1. Gigabyte G1 Gaming
2. Palit (The JetStream version)

Which one is better and has better cooling ability in your opinion ?
Gigabyte is shit, one of the worst brands overall. EVGA or Palit ( Gamerock or Jetstream versions) are the best choice.

Hello, what is the fastest nvidia miner currently apart from SP Mod 6? Smiley Thanks! I have been searching some time but cannot get over 90 MHAS on a 1080 Sad
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm advanced NVIDIA & AMD GPU miner [1.2.4a] on: June 10, 2017, 08:22:14 PM
This is Ethash with RX 470 WITHOUT BIOS MODS.
My goal is to hit the 30MH/s mark.

Its not only about the hashrate, monitor powerdraw its useless if it hits the gpu like a tank.

No this is amazing any way you look at it. You can always mod the card afterwards to your liking and do not forget that at todays prices the electricity is very low compared to the profits. So more hashrate almost always pays of.
