Watching this show is the most fun part!

They're trusted authorities or people to monitor the money and ensure the project doesn't just run off with the funds, and usually for auditing purposes post-ICO. The bigger point is they lied about it being in escrow, that's the huge flag.

How to access the trustworthiness of an escrow?

TBH I'm not sure, besides they've done many ICOs before. Maybe @SebastianJu can chime in. Look at his profile and posts and make a judgement yourself: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=18640 .

It feels like a scammer on eBay saying "let's do escrow" and then at the last second pulling it and saying, "No wait, give me the item first. I'll pay you later." It's shady and destroys trust. At least come on here and talk about it before, during, and after if you have concerns about the escrow, don't just pull it an hour before.

Looks like to me they planned on using an escrow, a free one, turns out free= being extorted for 100k by some anon dude with high trust who people think should be holding huge amounts of money.  I trust JU about as far as I can throw him.

You created a new account on here to post that in order to mask who you really are? No need to do that. Just post it as your normal name. The truth will come out either way so no worries mate.

His trust level is right here. Look at the bottom of his post you can see trust of 110 -0/+11. Probably the best on this whole forum.

2 hours and 45 minutes left and still no page update? Thats frustrating.

In other news, the total coin market cap has dropped by about $20 billion today. Fun times!
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: June 15, 2017, 01:12:08 PM
SONM it is the Russian SCAM organized by this group of swindlers https://icopromo.com/ (Just look at this website) . All of them are natives of HYIP projects, the organizer of https://icopromo.com/ MLM known in Russia the swindler. You avoid SONM.
There will never be a real development. Their purpose to steal your money.

To me, all this proves is that they are smart. They hired a good marketing company to help them get their product out there. Any smart business person would do the same. Does not speak to their tech or development.

For sure I am not investing in this one anymore... Golem will win anyway Wink

Why Golem will will? This technology will be much better

TBH GRC has more "tech" than any of these supercomputer coins. GRC has thousands of man hours and days invested in colleges all around the world researching fog computing and how to perfect it. But you see that they are definitely not "winning" in terms of marketcap right?

Its not about the "best" tech but rather tech that works and good marketing. At least in the short term. And lets face it, none of us are going to be holding any altcoins long term (except maybe ETH).

I dont know of many coins that havent had people crying right before the ICO. It always happens.
1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: June 15, 2017, 12:51:30 PM
This thread has turned into a joke. The project is going to be successful whatever you scream in here. Those that take part in the ICO (if the page updates and it actually happens in 4 hours and 7 minutes) are going to make money. So thanks to all those that are backing out now. Maybe I'll actually get my coins in there fast enough to actually take part in a good ICO for once.

Okay I'm new at ETH token ICOs and I have a quick question I hope someone can answer for me.

I have a JAXX ETH wallet. That is the address with which I will receive my SONM tokens correct?

So I can pay in BTC and then give my ETH wallet address and that is where my SONM tokens will appear?

Why are the trades indicated with 0,00000000 (8 decimals)
and the order book with only 7 !??!

I agree this is confusing for people not familiar with Bitfinex. I almost made the mistake buying at .0003 and I thought it was .00003 because it was only showing 7 digits instead of 8.

Wow hits the market above LTC. How does that feel Mr. Lee? lol.

But that was before the whole madness hype started. Also, IOTA didn't start today, it's been around and traded for a while, it just started trading on exchanges today.

Indeed. Didnt think about how different the market is right now. But I still cannot, in good conscience, buy something with such an astronomical marketcap when it has such low exposure and has a massive amount of growing to do. I do believe IOTA is the future of crypto, but I also believe that is the future, and this is the present.

I agree with you. Trading just started on one exchange.

In full disclosure I bought 1 gIO just in case I am totally wrong here but 90% of my BTC is being held for a much, much lower price.

Where do you check market cap and such info?
Still not shown on coinmarketcap..
Where on bitfinex i can see these details?

Right now you have to manually calculate it...

current price = .00021000 X total supply 2,779,530,283 X current BTC price 2740 = $1,599,341,724

Still WAY too high!

But is it really? If you look at some of the Shitcoins which have a market cap over a billion...  Wink

ETH started out at $45,000,000. Took it almost 2 years to get to where it is now.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: June 13, 2017, 02:15:21 PM
lurker10, youyou_, We shall see. I don't think this is mainstream enough yet to keep anywhere near the current price.
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: June 13, 2017, 02:07:58 PM
I must agree with that...
should be around 300 000 000 I think

I set my buy order at 0.00002000 ($150,000,000 market cap). Waiting with popcorn.

You might get it an order filled at 0.00006-0.00008 ($450-600,000,000) if you're lucky.

Well to this point the biggest start to a coin ever was GNO at 100,000,000 so 50% higher than that is respectable and reasonable to me Smiley

@ .00030000 the marketcap is $2,200,000,000.

Wait for the dump... no matter how awesome this is, there is NO WAY it is going to stay anywhere near this price right now. Wait until market cap gets down below $100,000,000 before you buy if you want to make anything on it anytime soon.
